My favorite time to come to this market is early Sunday mornings. Because there are no churches close by they always seem to be empty this time and day. This store is so clean and friendly and just huge.Bonus is there is a Starbucks in the store that opens for buisness at 6 am. But they can only add cash to your account if you have a Starbucks card with the strip on it.Helpful hint buy a Starbucks card with a strip add it to your phone and put the card in your wallet. I use this for adding cash to my Starbucks account and I can give the card to others to buy them coffee rather than handing over my phone. Get those stars!!!

The store itself is not bad, but there is a big problem, some of the staff are just lazy pigs. if you need to take something off the shelf, its not a problem, but they store shampoo and other things behind glass. and if you need help getting someone to come and open the showcase, rest assured that no one will care about you and you will wait 15 minutes minimum

I believe I received a fat comment from Jessica by judging my purchases. Young woman who wears chocker.This cashier normally does not do well with small talk based on my prior visits - no worries bc many people are ok without it. Today the conscious choice was made to not make small talk with the 4 individuals in front of me. I was never rude and received the comment of must be football season and an eye roll after unhealthy item was scanned. Once the comment was made I received no direct eye contact from Jessica and she was not speaking with a bagger or peer to direct this comment to. Football season is not in the summer and I believe the behavior I observed follows the “big back” trend of fat shaming.I was grabbing few sweet snacks and healthy snacks for my employees ahead of tomorrow and did not appreciate the comment on my purchased items.Beyond this negative interaction, this location has the following pros and cons.Pros - meat quality on chicken and pork belly are awesome. Offers our preferred brand of crystal cat litter. Keto sweetener and bakery dry goods selection are decent. Protein pasta and low carb options are excellent when I can’t make it to Aldi.Cons - self checkout line is not efficient. Mexican cheese selection is below average. Does not offer boochcraft or flying embers in alcohol section. Service is always off here - today was the first intentionally negative interaction. No effort is made to reduce loitering on property grounds and entrance.I would rather shop at Aldi and Super King for everyday meat/produce and Costco for low carb selection/snacks.

All of the hygiene products are locked behind display cases - which is wrong in and of itself - and to make matters worse, nobody will ever come unlock them for you. I waited 15 mins, asked several pharmacists, and looked around for employees yesterday. I wont be back.

Vons is a big chain grocery store with a peculiar inventory of products and merchandise. They don’t carry Red Bull energy drinks, instead they have these bing cherry and apple juice energy drinks, this and a number of other oddities I notice about going there over say, Ralphs. Of course Vons does have most brands, but I just wanted to point that out because I’ve noticed they don’t carry certain items and I don’t know why.I found this location(Glendale) to be clean and tidy. The staff was a little rude when I told themI changed my mind about buying a few items. The way the guy looked at me made me feel like that was a weird request. That was annoying.What else can I say?They have higher end products a lot of the time. Not quite Whole Foods but definitely a step up from Ralphs. (I mean I still like Ralphs but I’m just saying generally Vons is cleaner and better stocked with more friendly helpful employees)Plenty of parking, they have a bathroom you can use.Nobody physically assaulted me or called me mean names so all said and done I had a fine experience.I Try not to go around giving everything 4 and 5 stars and I think any reviewer that does that is a sell out or a phony.3/5 because it’s a fine store not bad and not anything to write home about.What could change? Maybe the friendliness of the staff which starts from the corporate level in my opinion.But what do I know about running a big chain grocery store?? Nothing.

Very nice employees, usually have most of what Im looking for, usually isnt too busy unless its between 5pm and 8pm. Wish they werent out of stock of half the things I need. Also, I understand theft, but keeping deodorant and tums behind locked glass and then having to wait 10+ minutes for help is kind of a drag ✌️

The prices here at the Vons at 311 West Los Feliz have skyrocketed. FAR BEYOND just inflation. Ive started to travel 20 minutes away to shop at Ralphs. Vons is almost ALWAYS 50 cent to as much as 2 dollars more expensive than Ralph. Both are union store with what shoule be simialr operational cost. . So the dramatic increase is disturbing. My recent purchase of a bakery item went from $10.99 to a whopping $14.99. FAR beyond what I would expect from inflation.I moved into an apartment across the street from the Vons at 311 West Los Feliz in 2016. At first I was thrilled to have a grocery store so close. I moved our 14 monthly prescriptions from CVS to this Vons pharmacy. Well probably move our prescriptions back to CVS.Since the pandemic the new staff is rude and inattentive. The manager hould remind the employees that customers pay everyones salaryHaving retired years ago from management positions in retail, I know one truth about customer service...a fish stinks from the head . District supervision needs to take a long hard look at this store.

Over priced, and low on employees. Theres never enough employees. Trader Joes pays more and is cheaper, yet they have plenty of employees....I give them 2 stars because its clean and the current employees do the best they can given the circumstances.

I have been shopping at this location for over 12 years. I go out of my way to stay away from the meat department, because it doesnt matter who the manager is at the moment they always provide poor customer service and an unpleasant attitude. Check out the photo what he handed me today. I started to question him about it and he cut me off and said its not pretty but there it.When I got it home it was leftover small pieces and few oz of bloody water no wonder it was covered in blood

The employees at the Los Feliz Vons are beyond rude, they’re toxic. Ask a question and they give you major attitude. They act like they hate waiting on their customers. Between the tall man in the meat department, the crazy lady in the deli, and Sharon the nasty cashier, I’m done. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere.

Went to vons today and me and my family saw that there was a discount for buying 4 packets of water would be 5 dollars each packet. When we got to the line the cashier Joe didnt respond when we asked if the waters had a discount Just to make sure, but we didnt say anything and Just thought he didnt hear. Then on the screen it said we were charged 70 dollars. He said that there wasnt a discount even after we asked another worker and he told us there was infact a discount.We didnt end up buying the packets bcause it was 70 dollars and the entire point was to get the discount. He was irritaded since the beginning when we got in line. This was a bad experience, and it wasnt right that he was being so drastic and didnt handle the situation.

Not only a great place for nearly all your grocery needs, but theres also fresh food and a deli inside- oh and a Starbucks! ( Thats right, a full on starbucks is in this place!)The only problem I have is that the single item fridges (at checkout) only have sodas, water, and energy drinks, wouldve loved to see single bottle gatorades as a nice balance.

My recent experience at Vons Daily was beyond disappointing; it was outright infuriating. I had a hankering for a sandwich and decided to give this place a try. I approached the counter and requested a sandwich. To my surprise, I was abruptly told that they only offer pre-made sandwiches for takeout from the shelf. This was a complete letdown, as I was hoping for a freshly made sandwich to satisfy my craving. It seemed as though they were more interested in convenience than providing quality service to their customers. To make matters worse, when I tried to discuss my disappointment with the daily manager, he completely ignored me. I stood there waiting patiently, but they made no effort to acknowledge my presence or address my concerns. It was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.

Like most Vons stores, the isles are wide enough with well stocked shelves containing a wide variety of items, clean and well organized. However, the parking lot is a bit small and was a little tricky to get in and out safely. There was a line of cars waiting for parking spots. The rain didnt help either. But if you shop at any Vons you know they are all set up basically the same inside so you wont have to waste time wandering about looking for items.

Ive shopped here for 10 years. The checkout wait time is a JOKE. There are 3s a crowd signs at every register, and at least 8 people in each line. Always understaffed at peak times. Ive abandoned a full cart at checkout and shopped elsewhere because it was such a joke.

Employees are very very unprofessional and are dressed borderline homeless. This store should never have any problems with fruit, produce or meats going bad. When you walk in the store it is FREEZING!! Makes for a very bad and uncomfortable shopping experience. When you open the freezer door- it feels the same as the temperature in the aisle.Unfair to shoppers/ and brutal for employees who have to dress like they’re working on a freezer room.

I agree with deli comments unfortunately. I have been there and they close when they want. I remember the girl saying they close early because it take to long to clean up. Which was an hour early. Now they have the new person that just, I don’t know how to explain. I ask for thin slices and gave thick one . What I am trying to say is deli is such a disappointment. Nice store. Nice people. Plenty of uncommon brands + in-depth selections. It does get pretty busy but this big store never feels crowded. I like the big bakery choices, the ready-to-eat items + the big coffee aisle. I come here for Seattles Best House Blend coffee which is the best coffee by far. I buy 2 bags at a time! If u need your caffeine fix while youre running around town, pop in here for the full-service Starbucks + pick up your favorite drink quick. Self-checkout or full service checkout. Plenty of parking.

Stay away from the Meat/Poultry department! The pre wrapped chicken smelled so bad almost like old cheese. When I lifted the chicken I saw the racks underneath weren’t cleaned and had some water like substance sitting there. I’m sure that’s a health violation. The rest of the store was good.

I came in tonight and needed cash back. Since they only do up to $60 at a time I was ringing up a few items then selected my cash back choice, rang up the rest and selected another amount. There was a security officer who wouldn’t stop watching me like I was only ringing up a few things and leaving, but I just needed more cash back. The lady working saw and had no problem with it so why did he?Then my husband and I went about getting the rest of our groceries when the security guard started following my husband around the store and we caught him recording my husband. So we went on separate isles to make sure, sure enough I went one way and he followed my husband and was still recording! Then while checking out it was a different lady and I asked for some bags and she asked if I was done but I was running out of room and needed to bag the items I rang up so she calls for “help” and was making it out like I was stealing. I said there is no more room to keep going the sensible thing to do is bag what I have so I can keep going. And I have my receipts from before”. Made me feel super uncomfortable especially after what the security guard just did. After shopping here for 6 months being new to this area, definitely won’t return.

Very nice store! Well stocked, parking is great. A few homeless and panhandlers sitting by the doors. Give one a dollar and they all want one. 🤗🤔 😊Rocky was an above and beyond checker! This store has issues. The strawberries, blueberries and black berries are never sweet like those sold at Ralphs or Vallartas.However, my biggest complaint is its poorly staffed Deli which is at times staffed by rude and inattentive employees. In particular, a young stout girl who wears glasses and whose back is often turned to the counter so that she doesnt notice customers waiting. And then when you ask her for help, she acts as if she is being imposed upon.On Saturday, I was the only one waiting at the counter. This same employee was cleaning the counter under the meat slicer so I waited until she finished. About 8 minutes later, she finished cleaning and washed her hands all the while her back to the deli counter. As she dried her hands, I asked if she could assist me. Annoyed, she turned and rudely said, Wait a minute!This is a location I will only visit if I dont wish to drive further out to superior markets.

Love this Vons for the convenience of the location. The major complaint is that there are never enough cashiers/registers open. I have left beers and other alcoholic beverages because the line is too long and just walk over to self checkout. If the lines were taken care of quicker I would definitely give it 5 stars.

I have been shopping here for 50 years. The store is always clean and the people very kind. I am in a wheelchair and my husband pushes me and someone from the store pushes the cart and helps us. The produce and bakery are great. Deli so so. On the whole I like it better than Ralphs. Also there is a Rite Aid and a CHOP STOP and a Honey baked ham in same shopping center

I think von has high prices and they didnt have such a very great selection I only buy the stuff thats on sale there. For regular things Ive noticed that Vons has gone up maybe 15-20% on special on certain items especially like smoked sausages or bacon or milk theyre organic juice is $1.50 more than Ralphs is. Im not impressed with their selection the checkers are always slow and then I end up going into the self-serve line and theres always mistakes for bang for the buck Im not crazy about Vons I think Ralphs is slightly better. Also trader Joes has better milk has better cheese has better cottage cheese as better dairy products in general and the prices are 25% cheaper I would say that theres nothing special about Bond bonds whatsoever.

Do most of my shopping here and my bank is here. Love the clearance shelves by the restroom. Always good fish and meat deals. Bakery well stocked. Enjoy the soups of the day often and they will let you eat in the Starbucks dining area. Huge parking lot and this one is open until 2 a.m!

I have come several times for no contact pick up. Every time I have come I have had a frustrating experience. The first visit they did not bring my whole order to my car and I had to drive back to pick up the rest of the order. The second visit they brought me somebody else’s order. My third visit I had to call 3 times before they brought out the order. This current visit, the pick up phone number on the sign went directly to a mailbox where I got a message that said “this mailbox has not been set up.” I called the number 17 times before I found an alternate number on google maps. I had to call for 20 minutes before I reached someone who could help. When I told the worker that came to my car about my frustration he said, yeah we’re busy. The management of this store never offered me any kind of recovery for my troubles during any of my visits. This is a poorly managed operation.

Great store serving the community for many years. Friendly and professional staff. Lots of good savings and large selection of food and groceries. Nice big parking lot is a great advantage. New floral department is really handy. Plus they have seasonal arrangements for different occasions. Meat section offers good quality with reasonable prices. Pretty nice store with good weekly deals. But, often the check-out lines are so long because they only have one or two cashiers open and no self-checkout area. This becomes especially annoying if youre just picking up a couple small things that you need and not a full shopping trip.

The worst store by far in speed and service and quality. I usually drive out of my way just to avoid this store. Its needs a total revamp. From the workers (or I should say lack of...) to management, oh wait there isnt any. No matter you shop here early morning or mid rush hour.. there is always lines and 8 check stands with 2 open and lines pouring into the shopping isles. AVOID THIS STORE LIKE AVOIDING THE PLAGUE. The cashiers are slow and the workers other workers wonder around the store with dead glazes are their faces. Cant stay things bad enough. Close this place down or fix it.

Busy. Narrow ingress and egress and displays everywhere make moving with a cart difficult at times. Deli counter food is standard Vons, but service is fair at best. Bakery is good. Produce is generally good as well. Expensive. We go here on occasion only because it is close, but often travel twice the distance for regular food shopping. Staff are hit and miss, but by large I get the sense that their attitude is one of customers are something to be avoided and tolerated if convinient.

An always well lit market, amply supplied, where shopping carts and baskets are always available, is staffed by a young, attentive, and hard working crew. In the shadows of Glendale memorial Hospital is this Vons location on Los Feliz and San Fernando road. Carts are kept at the front main entrance to the store. They have disinfecting wipes available to clean off your cart. Fruits, veggies and floral department are located on the far right hand side of the store. They are able to make bouquets for you wrapped up in brown paper with ribbon of your choice. They also have a selection of balloons. They carry Vienna beef hot dogs which is exciting as a chicagoan in Los angeles.

7/31/21This vons is greatly located and the staff is usually very nice and professional.I’ve never been chased around before until this night. I walked in to do some late shopping, and the security working this shift was acting so weird around me. I felt harassed as I walked and stood between isles to read labels before purchasing my consumers.I confronted him before leaving and he kept on saying he needs to check those 2 specific isles.Honestly I expressed he made me feel uncomfortable as when I walked by he would turn around and look at me. Vons inhabits clientele that dont mind paying a little extra for the same food at other stores like Ralphs and Food 4 Less. Its probably because they believe in quality over quantity. However, the quality isnt higher than Ralphs. The staff is slightly more afraid, Ive noticed. I have a hunch that management likes to strike fear into their hearts. I wonder if thats a union thing or not. Im still shopping for clearance tags and dollar bags of produce. So my mind doesnt spend much time thinking about it.Door dash area is right next to toilets...How are covid fanatics actually ordering delivery from an area that has clouds of fecal matter swarming near it?Also below is an employee who doesnt want to keep his job..

This Vons is a really strange location. There are always people out and about moving around in the parking lot. Not sure if it is because this locationi is on the border of Los Angeles and Glendale. Has always had a strange vibe here.

Get to the store early on the weekends. Huge apartment complexes built near the store have caused checkout wait times to exceed 15 minutes even with 7 checkout lanes open. Certain items are gone by 1:00 so make sure you have a backup menu when theres no broccoli and the tomatoes that are left are way to over ripe. The deli selections are good.

While trying to explain to her an overcharge she kept insisting I was arguing with her when I was simply explaining my situation. She ended with just wait for the manager and I dont know why I bother with people like you. She wasnt a manager or supervisor. She couldnt help me either way. For the Vons on Los Feliz in Glendale. Absolutely horrible customer service! I waited for 20 min at the butcher counter, had the butcher paged twice and nobody showed up. I even tried calling the stores phone number twice, and the calls went unanswered. IT WAS A SATURDAY AFTERNOON!!! Myself and another customer wete waiting. There is no excuse for this lack of service. The sad thing is that this has happened once before. My advice: if you want to go to Vons, go a little bit further to the one on Glendale Ave., near the 134 freeway. The service is friendly, but they either do forget or wait for the customer to ask for the Monopoly 2018 Tickets, Ive been going here for awhile and had never received any. I consider this a promotion just like a sale, or a price special. The customer should not remind the cashier or ask for those stubs, it is part of the seasons promotion. It is unfortunate that I get to miss out on these, it is still advertised and I consider them as a promise to the consumer by Vons. I shoped there around 11:20 p.m. anyways for what its worth, the staff needs to be reminded of the key features that Vons is offering. Or just not do it at all. Experience wise its o.k. just dont promise something that you may or may not get, it also states on the receipt how many of those you are to get, so the promise is reinforced. This is a big, well-stocked store. Unfortunately, much of the time they only have ONE REGISTER open.Their drive up & go curbside pickup service should be called drive up & wait. Youre supposed to park at the designated spot and call them on the phone. But in many cases nobody answers. After multiple attempts, I have to actually go into the store to get somebodys attention. (Remember, the whole point of this service is to avoid going into the store while the pandemic persists.) And today I got home and found many items missing, so I had to drive back to the store and get the bag they neglected to give me.

Went to the Vons pharmacy the other day to find one of the pharmacists handling prescriptions without a mask on. He had a mask but it was completely tucked under his chin and in the 5 minute interaction I had at the pharmacy he made no effort to even attempt to cover his nose or mouth with any kind of face covering. Once Again, as I got into line with my groceries, a man on front caused it to come to a screeching halt! After 10 minutes he cancelled his purchases because his EBT would not pay for beer.I explained to the cashier to be sure the damaged vodka bottle discounted 50% was noted, and to consolidate into as few bags as possible. Including my backpack. Then, I hear that they were out of plastic bags, (I take the bus so I dont need too many. and paper will break. The bag lady, finds one after another 5 minutes. Then I instructed here to put the Glass items into the pack as it was strongest. Whereupon she pulls out items she asks the cashier if he has rung up. I insisted that I had just gotten them from the food bank just dont the street, and if there were any problem they should call them immediately as they would be closing soon. Please, feel free to call the police as this has happened before. A mgr.was brought to confirm. (Another 10 minutes) when all was packed up (I had missed 2 buses) into a Cart And I got to the bus stop. I looked at the receipt to find that the cashier had not included the discounted 50% for the vodka ( Over $7) I carted back whereupon the young cashier attempted to instruct me on the way to read the receipt! HE WAS WRONG) SO, The I went to the head cashier who then gets a different mgr. Who speaks to the cashier & then, cart back to the stop to wait for yet another bus. (Total checkout time, though 2nd in line- Over 45 minutes; making this visit from entering-1 1/2 hrs!) I had frozen food but no ice cream this time. But, when I got home, and checked the receipt, the cashier had changed for an extra cream cheese! Ok there are some mistakes in this text but it took another HR. To write it! Oh, the cashier had come running to the stop with 2 items she had put in another bag! (By accident!??) after the 1rst attempted accounting. This has happened before, many times! But not all at once.

She swore up and down that I did not hear of the page. She swore that I was hearing things. She then informed mean that there was no manager available yet there was a supervisor. I spoke to what appeared to be a stock person that they tried to pass off as a manager. They got a personal chewing out. This is not the end of this saga. I will speak to a manager. They no longer have to worry about receiving my money.l!

Always understaffed. Starbucks understaffed in morning. Deli always understaffed, especially at lunch rush; they still only have 1 person working the counter to serve 10 people. Expect to wait in never ending lines at this market.

I have shopped here over 15 times and each time, regardless of the day or time, the check out lines have been extremely long. Only 2-4 lines open at a time when the average wait time is over 20 minutes. Only Vons I have shopped at with this problem. One time I waited in line for 28 minutes before they began checking me out.

Inhabitants of Glendale and NorthEast Los Angeles have been marketing on this plot of land for well over a half century. Originally a Safeway with an adjacent Super S drugstore, changing into a Vons some 35 years ago. Nothing special about this store .
