I am usually happy with this market but I have to say that yesterday I had a very bad experience in the deli department. There to purchase fried chicken I stood there for I dont know how long before one lady asked me what I needed. I was told another five minutes for the chicken to be cooked so I decided to go & pick out the rest of my items. When I came back again I just stood there. Finally a different lady asked me what I needed after the first one kept ignoring me. I asked for my chicken, she bagged it & just placed it on the counter. No words at all. I know what it is to be in customer service & a Will that be it? or, Anything else? or, just simply, Have a good day.

I’m not one to typically leave reviews but i had to after the blatantly uncomfortable disrespect that i witnessed at this vons from one employee, Linn, to another, Jacobwhen Jacob got to his post as bagger, Linn immediately and repeatedly began to badger and harass Jacob saying that he wasn’t doing his job and Jacob tried defending himself, saying another supervisor had him working on boxes in the back, but she kept repeating “I do not” and verbally abusing him in front of myself and a line of customers which was unprofessional and rudeit was honestly disheartening to witness Jacob try and explain his situation while Linn didn’t even attempt to listen and only seemed intent on harassing and humiliating him in front of a lot of customers

Each time I come to this store its a disappointment.Im a club member. Came to this store the day before my girlfriends birthday to get her favorite, lamb chops. The meat department told me to come back tomorrow cuz they were out of stock.I came back the next day (girlfriends birthday) and they were out of stock again.I tried a month later came for chicken thighs....you guessed it, out of stock. I told the supervisor on duty and Marianna shrugged her shoulders with a fake smile.I called the corporate number to inform them of my consistent disappointment and waste of time as well as the flaw in their inventory system. Ive been waiting for 19 minutes now and no one to answer my call.Fail in many aspects. I will save my time and go to Starter Brothers instead.I got home and I was able to write this review while on hold. Fail, fail, fail.Now that Ive spent 22 minutes waiting I think Ill hang up now. Thank you for wasting my drive, my time only to get nothing I came for.

I visited ones today to purchase a gift card. The store is very clean, well stocked and offers an enormous variety of products. The service bakery and deli have so many delectable delights. The employees are always extremely courteous and helpful. I could shop any number of places but all these reasons make Vons my favorite.

This Vons has everything you could possibly want. The store is nice and big. The isles are wide so people can pass. Everything looked nice and stacked. And organized. The store was immaculately clean. We also received a money order. And the employee that helped us. Was so very helpful. And so very patient. Which was Awesome. My wife and I. Wanted some of the mango habanero chicken and ordered an 8 piece. The large girl with the glasses at the counter only put 6 pieces in the bag and my elderly mother asked if she put 8 since she ordered an 8 piece not a 6. This girl proceeded to give her the nastiest look like my moms question ruined her whole day then she just threw two more pieces into the bag. Is this how you treat your customers? Such unprofessional behavior especially with the ageism and some racism as well. Employees should know how to count or at least be kinder to elderly people.

One of the employees was very rude to us. She was definitely in a bad mood. She took it upon herself to ring me up and my husbands work transaction when she was no my cashier. She then proceeded to walk behind us to ensure we went out the store and not to the Starbucks. As she did not want us to purchase anymore tumblers. It’s 2 per person and it was 2 of us. So getting 4 of them should not have been an issue. All other staff was friendly and apologetic on her behave store is clean just that employee ruined it for me..

I wish I could score lower. My elderly mother recently visited the Redlands Vons on Orange Street. She lives in another city but loves to check for weekly sales on meats. Last Thursday she called the meat department to see if a certain crab selection was on sale. The meat man told her yes and that they would $29.99 per pound. Excited the next day my mother went to purchase the crab only to be met by the store manager Sara who was unprofessional and rude to her. Rather than explain that a mistake must of taken place, she loudly expressed to the meat man, We do not have to give her anything! Sara didnt even have the decency to address my mother directly. We used to live in Redlands for years and have never had this issue before. I was stunned when my mother recounted the unprofessionalism of someone in the store manager role. My mother did not argue with this manager or stoop to ignorant levels that Sara saw fit to display but regardless no one, least of all an elderly woman should be subjected to this level of indecency, unprofessionalism, and lack of customer service. My mother did call corporate who went above and beyond to remedy the situation, so we are thankful for that. The behavior of Sarah the manager is unacceptable and so Im sadly writing a bad review as a warning to others to look out for this manager as she lacks respect and regard for Vons customers. I imagine her behavior is not aligned with Vons values but Im compelled to share this with others. Vons, please do better with the people you select to represent your store.

I went to this Vons only to order from the in-store Starbucks which I was highly disappointed. The in-store Starbucks does not have a toaster so they do not sell any of the breakfast sandwiches nor can they warm the pastries. Also, I was unable to scan my Starbucks points because the cash register dose not have the proper scanner to scan the Starbucks app. The only thing ok about the entire experience was the Starbucks employee was very helpful and pleasant.

This Vons turned off to be very disappointing for me but customer service wasn’t all that great. Vons prides itself on great produce and meat poultry and yes....I can truly say they have it but the some staff members watched me wandering around their store and decided not to ask me did I need help. This community is very nice so I thought they would be better than others stores, plus their prices are bit high so when you’re paying high prices you expect great service. Last but not least the bathrooms need help. They look like they never been cleaned and they should be ashamed of themselves. Do better please!!

Waited at the bathroom 15min. There was homeless people taking showers inside the bathroom. Had to go outside to illegally urine. Went to the side saw more homeless. The girl who went in there probably used up all there paper. 15 minutes both ocupied. Went to call the manager next thing you know she got to be banging on the door. Where is security ralphs why does a manager need to be wearing a security hat.

While the store was clean, I was not impressed by the prices or the selection of staple goods. Also, for a Friday afternoon having only 2 registers open (one manned by the manager) is unacceptable. The first register was 15 items or less and no wait. The register manned by the manager had 5 people including me waiting to checkout - one after another, each person having a fairly full cart. The employee at the first register stood doing nothing, not even offering to take a customer or two from the manager to ensure guest satisfaction. At the same time, the manager didnt suggest his employee help him by ringing out customers.

They make the best cakes there! Vicki helped me, she was amazing. I couldnt thank you enough for helping me with a cake I purchased for my fathers memorial service. I got so many compliments on it I had them make me one for a celebration, more than 5 people asked me where I got it. Just ask for the Boston Cream Cake, filled with custard, with whipped cream icing, a border of fresh fruit and edged with a chocolate truffle drizzle along the border. I promise you it will be the best cake youve ever eaten. Run to this store! 12 Stars!!

Why was my son and I followed by the associates in the store last night? Im not a person of poverty. I live in a 4 bedroom house I make decent money. I own a sports car. I found it very insulting. Its not the closest grocer but they stock a broader variety of things. Picked almost everything I needed. I had them check the back stock on one of my favorite items and it turns out that the manufacturer has discontinued the product. I was able to save a few dollars with my membership card and coupons. Their premade salad selection is the largest in town and they had them on sale.

I gave it three stars because at the time that I went (7:30pm) there was a checkout line that went to the rear of the building. Only two checkers that I could see and the people in line did not look happy. I ended up leaving my groceries because I only had three items and did not want to wait in that long of a line. Staff is very friendly and price and selection are much better since the last time I shopped (nearly 4 years ago) . The reason I usually abstain from shopping here is that it is one of the few grocery stores in my neighborhood without locking carts. We find Vons carts all over our neighborhood and the pose a safety hazard on the road and for children. Please consider getting locking carts for the Redlands location 🙏

Update 4/27/19: Still a mismanaged store compared to other Vons that typically are pretty good in LA region. Go to the deli area and try to get any service whatsoever. Ive discussed this to the yes men/yes women Millenial managers 3x. Still, the deli/bakery and meat area suck for service (there is none). I only go to Vons because US Bank is there. Visit the deli/bakery/sandwich area yourself and experience my experience.Old review:Sandwich deli and regular deli are terrible. Rude service, no service. Expect to wait forever. Ive complained 2x to the store manager. Nothing ever changes there. Both times went elsewhere. Last time I saw 2 people give up. A poorly managed Vons. Cashiers very nice. Pricey without the dumb cards that all these inconvenient ridiculous marketing consultants push on these stores. I go to Trader Joes and Stater Bros. But new markets like Aldi and Sprouts have gotta be kicking their butts.

The people who work here are so RUDE. Especially in the bakery department. My husband was waiting at the bakery counter to ask a question. No one was back there. You can find some specialty foods here. Prices are a bit high. They carry Safeway store brand. I tend to try and stay away from soda these days and I found a great alternative here. They have a store brand label named Refreshe. I get a 12 pack (cans) of mixed berry (the best flavor) seltzer water for $1.99. Thats a club price and you have to buy 3 or 4 quantity to get that great price. Its just carbonated water and natural flavors. There are zero calories. No artificial sweeteners, Its cheaper than soda and better for you. Its great to have when I want that fizzy bubbly soda experience. The mixed berry flavor reminds me of grape soda and has a great aroma. The other flavors are OK. Ill sometimes get a lemon flavor that I like to add fresh ginger and a package of stevia to it.

What can be special about a big chain supermarket store? They are all generic and the same everywhere, right? And, honestly, competing chains are not so different from one another anyway. Well, there are a couple of things that set this VONS store apart.This store carries Tillamook ice cream. To the best of my knowledge, no other stores in town do, not even Albertsons, which is a different name for the same chain [EDIT: I was wrong, Albertsons does carry Tillamook. Yay!]. Tillamook Old Fashion Vanilla must be delivered to this VONS location straight from heaven. You must try it.They make sushi rolls on premises. The rolls, in my opinion, are a bit overpriced, they cost just a bit less than what you pay at a restaurant for a comparable roll, though youre not getting the service and other restaurant amenities. But they are very decent, and are available here if you want to grab a quick to-go package without committing your time and paying tips.Its located right next to Trader Joes, which probably puts competitive pressure on both stores, but is really convenient for a customer. Between these two stores, our family covers all our grocery needs in just a single one-stop shopping trip. Very rarely we go to a different location for something that is not available at either of these two stores.The staff are always very friendly. Many people have been working here for many years, which I hope is a good sign that the employees are treated well. After a while, coming here stops feeling like a bland chain experience, and rather feels like a comfortable hometown routine.

Its a chain store in a very white neighborhood, a minority face was a super shock to them. You could see the twisted faces anyway. Ive been shopping in this vons since 2003 and never had a problem until tonight i went to the checkouts and as im about to check out the cashier tells me someone put a store limitation on the purchase. I was ok with being told aboutbthe limit but the cashier then talks to the cashier behind her saying how some people have the nerve of buying and not leaving enough for others well the shelves had plenty instock..... I took what she called excessive amount back and when i came back she was still babbling along on how she cant believe why people buy excessive amount ...... Dissapointed some patrons at this Redlands location chose not to wear protective face coverings. I felt uncomfortable and left without shopping. Trying new locations for Vons and Albertsons. Vons in Yucaipa offers frozen Veal. Vons in Redlands on Orange St, does not offer Veal, fresh or frozen. They just dont carry it. Albertsons in Redlands on Redlands Blvd, was a pleasant surprise. Good quality.
