Waited for 10 plus minutes for someone who doesn’t even work in the deli to make my sandwich… that and every time I come in Josh is literally the only guy working it seems like. I appreciate him but the rest of the team just seems to not care at all.

The store was very clean. The store was very well stocked. I was able to find everything I needed and the checkout clerk was super friendly. It was a nice shopping experience even though it is holiday time. I was surprised that even the other customers were friendly and helpful today. Made my day a happier one. I arrived at the store about 15 minutes to 8pm, praying the deli would be open. The kid (not a young man) looked at me and I said Hi are you still open? He said we close at 8 pm I believe It was 7:50pm, by the time he answered me y6. I only wanted a pound of very thin sliced maple ham. I needed some protein. So I go back and forth with this disrespectful kid that it is not my fault you have to leave at 9pm. That was all he cared about and we went back and forth. I asked can you please call your manager. He points towards the check out lanes. I told him please call him I want to talk to him. Huff noise and he paged the mgr. By now this was 8:15pm. I waited and waited so I asked him to please page him again. He acted like I chopped his arm off. Mgr comes I explained time, details and they do not have deli hours posted. Im new to Escondido. I was not going to let this kid or mgr. Tell me he was closed. He was helping another man with sliced meat. So I said I wouldnt like 1 lb Maple honey ham sliced very thin please another detail was he grumbled to himself and he said they were out. There were 3 new hams in front of me. I said its right here . He said didnt have anything to open it with REALLY? So that was the point I asked for the mgr. to be called. He told the customer before me that they were out of some cheese. The man said a new one is right there he received the same answer. Dont have a clean knife to open it . The kid gets away with a poor customer service attitude and by the time I got my ham it was 8:30pm and he sliced it thick, even though I repeated it 4 times for thin. I couldnt believe it. Mgr is not worth being a mgr the kid needs some serious training in customer service and respect for his fellow human beings. I ate one slice and threw it in the freezer and Im going to return it.

Bought a corned beef for St Patricks Day Saturday night 3/16/24, went straight home and put it in the fridge. When I opened it 3/17/24 the meat had gone bad completely. It smelled like rotted eggs.$15 down the drain for nothing. I should have known when the meat department smelled a bit off.This store is disgusting and every packaged product is only about a week out from expiring.

Why it is necessary to have the street sweeper cleaning the parking lot an hour before closing. There are at least a dozen customers and we all cant breathe through the dust storm. Why cant you wait til the store closes and theres no more customers in the parking lot?

If I could leave half a star I would. Extremely poor customer service. Brought change in to change out in the Coin Star machine. Change got to $120 before the machine stopped working. On duty manager was completely clueless and worthless. I was told that I needed to come back while they keep my $120! I don’t have the liberty to return the next business day. What kind of company puts a person in charge and calls them a manager or supervisor without any knowledge on how to give a 100% to the customer or fix problems? I will take my business elsewhere.

Some employers at this vons are very rude, I was laughing Inside my car because I saw Worker screaming at a shopper across the parking lot. Telling him to put the shopping cart where it belongs. I understand they get tired but I dont think screaming at them, its okay. Then 2 min later she comes up to my car And tells me but with an attitude not to leve the parking lot until she crosses. By with her shopping carts Which they were still parked in tje cart space. Like I said I understand many things but lower down the attitude

The cashiers are nice and there is always parking, but everything else about this Vons is lackluster.Prices arent particularly low, there are often long lines, and you cant buy hard alcohol without waiting for 10 minutes for somebody to come unlock the cabinets. They must be understaffed...

I had a pretty simple small amount of groceries yet that didnt stop then from screwing it up. I wish I got a picture of my ONE BAG but I didnt. I got three monster energy drinks, for bags of cheese, Italian dressing, a tub of sour cream, a very large heavy tub of chocolate chip cookie dough and two dozen eggs. The bag was as full as it could be and extremely heavy. Yes they put all of that in one bag. And put the eggs on the bottom. Then, after we left, I was wondering how I spent that much money. I had a coupon for dog food. It was a free bag of Purina one up to $29.99. what I got was $25.99. the guy manually entered $7.49,the amount taken off. And grumpy grump grumpy. NEVER going back to that store. EVER!!!

Its a stocked, and clean, including the public use restrooms the manager is josh.He knows the store and maintains the quality goods and offers for all his patrons daily.Good moral amongst the different crews.Have to say we ordered our Turkey there twice.Loved this dinner all cooked and ready to gobble for $59 and you can always buy extra sides. And a sara Lee pie .Its all about the customer at this store 5 stars

This review is post-pandemic, and I have to say, compared to Walmart, this place has a lot of things in stock. Walmart somehow manages to have the floor full of staff trying to refill products and yet there are still giant gaps of products missing. This place doesnt have that problem. Their aisles are not full of people trying to restock and mow you down in the process. The store is less crowded and chaotic. Staff is always pleasant. The only thing I would say is that I wish they would have more than one person at checkout out in the afternoon hours or get some self-pay machines.

I love this store! The people are very nice & everyone is so helpful. If I have to shop, I must go in very early as I have a very compromised immune system since birth, so I was wearing a mask long before COVID. I’m on a lot of medications & have to go to the pharmacy a lot & not only are they prompt, they keep me up to date with my vaccinations. All my doctors in the Palo Alto area told me that I could not have the shingles vaccine, but the Pharmacy Manager told me that it was a dead vaccine and it was safe to get. If only my doctors knew that it was safe, it would have protected me from getting the shingles. I never want to get them again, so when the pharmacy opens on Friday, I’ll get my shot. I had to wait a month to be able to get it.

Surprisingly upscale for a neighborhood grocery store. I had a hard time finding the dairy, and the few times I’ve been there it’s been not exactly intuitive to find the item I’ve been looking for. Perhaps I’m just used to my regular grocery store. Never too crowded and the employees are always tremendously helpful and kind.

I ordered a cake for my daughters bday. I had a picture and asked them to get as close as they could. Charlie absolutely nailed it and the cake was so yummy! Everyone was asking who made the cake. I hope Charlie sticks around so we are able to return for future parties, that hopefully are out normal huge parties rather than a quarantine party. Thanks Charlie!

Prices are way too high! Coffee creamer is over a dollar more so I only go there when Im lazy and dont care if Im throwing money away.Change of heart!You get what you pay for! Vons is much more accommodating to seniors during this covid19 scam. Better safe than sorry! Vons gives us Monday through Friday 7 to 9am. Walmart only helps on Tuesdays way too early and if I miss that day, oh well, huh Walmart? Nope! I go to Vons now!

They have Breyers ice cream on sale, but it has all been thawed then put into the diplay for sale. The cartons are all cocave on the top. Any ice cream officianado knows that this is NOT GOOD. So...I drove 4 miles to the next Vons and guess what? Same thing. I have complained to the management about this issue before, but no change. They lost me.

Probably the rudest vons employee I ever seen.. Cashiers name was Alfredo.. he made a mistake with the calculation of the beverages and once i notice right away and told him very nicely, he was like oh you told me 3 Fanta, that is why I added 3 more then I told that i didnt say such a thing and even if it is 3 fanta or 3 coke the price was same, so that was not the issue at all. Then I said oh maybe you got it wrong, its ok then he said no i didnt get it wrong thats what you said. What the hell is this??? Well Vons, their vegetable products were not in good shape. Their store and vegetable aisle was horribly dirty that I was too afraid to buy anything from them. Even their carts seemed seedy that I didnt even want to put my groceries in them. I wasnt even offered a vons card when I said that I didnt have one.
