2024-05-15 06:48:40I used to love this vons as my local grocery store. It used to be filled with very nice and sweet associates. The cashiers are rude! Way too old to be acting so rude to their elders. Have no patience for the elders or mentally challenged. I am absolutely disgusted. I will not be coming back. I have switched to ralph’s. You just lost a life long customer. If i could give it 0 stars i would!

2024-05-01 23:47:01I went to use western union to transfer money. Probably my 5th time at The same store. Filled out the info online as usual. At the store it’s a simple lookup based on my phone number and executing the order.Oh well. Had to wait 10 minutes, then a very obese supervisor with a real bad attitude named Jenifer, proceeded to tell me she can’t find my order. Walked away for 10 minutes without any explanation. When I asked what’s taking her so long, she snapped at me and told me to go to another store. I was shocked! Luckily another person showed up and showed her how to execute the work as she was clearly untrained. No apologies, rather asking for my ID twice, where the funds are going, who they’re going to, all info already filled out right in front of her eyes. I even had to show her the western union email. 30 minutes later and with much frustration on her face, I was done.I asked to speak to the store manager and she said she will investigate the incident. No feedback to me. I will never shop at Von’s knowing that management is protected against rightful customers and bad attitudes and disrespectful behavior are encouraged. You lost a customer and more for life. Shame!

2024-03-09 04:15:42This Vons is in a bad part of town. That should be a joke but if I wasn’t telling the truth, why would they close their doors on one side at 8 o’clock and why would they start closing the store at 10 o’clock in the near future? The petty crime that is plaguing California is ruining the lives of every day people. When will we say enough is enough?

2024-05-08 23:32:57Not the greatest Vons. They dont seem to have everything that other stores, and even other Vons, do. The employees are not particularly friendly either. Update May 2024: not much has changed maybe a few friendlier employees.

2023-12-14 01:49:53Employees need to learn proper ID laws. Getting rejected, threatened with the police, and told to leave for presenting an out-of-state license to buy tobacco is absolutely insane.

2023-10-12 21:50:27Just left this store...stood at the bakery for 15 minutes waiting for some assistance. There were no other customers there, so they werent busy. A girl called for some assistance for me twice. No one came. Even though at least 4 store employees saw me standing there and just walked past. As I said I was the only person waiting and i was pacing and looking around as I needed a birthday cake....I wont be back

2023-03-10 14:18:35Terrible experience here at this Vons. I honestly dont know what problem this girl NATALIE was having that day (I was told by the manager she was the only NATALIE at this location), but she took it out on me, a complete stranger! I still have no idea what triggered her to suddenly lash out at me... SHE WAS SUPER AGGRESSIVE! It was a pickup order and I simply came back to find out why I was missing half my order. Turns out several of the steaks I ordered were out of stock. That was it. Thats all she had to tell me but instead, she became strangely aggressive. It was the strangest and most aggressive encounter Ive ever had. So weird. I would avoid her. I had to ask for a manager because she was being so rude towards me. People were staring. I just let her rant. Better to ignore rude people like her than engage and let it escalate even further. She even lied to me and said a manager wasnt available. Unfortunately for her another helpful employee was nearby and immediately brought a manager. A second more helpful male manager appeared shortly after. The male manager had to take her off the register because she was continuing to make an obnoxious scene even with management there, slamming items, smirking, and talking about me to the customer loud enough so I can hear. Very unprofessional. Sadly everybody else here is so nice.

2023-09-22 19:50:00I love this store, because of the employees. I shop Monday and Friday evenings and want to give a shout out to (in alphabetical order): Anthony, Derek, Destiny, Garret, Hailey, JZ, John, Natalie, Ruth (miss you Joanne and Patrick)! More often than not, my dream team is JZ or John, Garret and Derek, and I am grateful to them for making shopping not just a have to but a want to. Please take good care of them! Thank you!

2023-06-11 20:30:58This 1-star rating is directed to Vons corporate management. I shop at 6:00 AM when its faster and easier for me to do my shopping than later in the day when its crowded. Ive been informed by the former cashier that there will be no more cashiers to ring up the customers in the early morning hours. All customers must now ring up their own groceries on the self-serve machines. This is a problem. For starters it takes about 4 times as long for me to get through my entire shopping basket than it does for the former cashier to ring me up. They have training in swiping techniques, they have more room to work than I do on the small self-serve machine and they know all the produce codes. For me to have to press an extra button to make a keyboard pop up, then to type in the variety of produce, then weigh it is ridiculous. There isnt enough room to work when I have a shopping cart full of groceries to ring up. Something always goes wrong, and when it does, the software on the machine gets to a point that a live former cashier needs to be called over to fix whatever the problem is. Then if I have alcohol, I have to spend even more time on the checkout process because the former cashier has to ring up the alcohol separately, while I struggle with the rest of the order. This is all so frustrating. Smart & Final on PCH in Redondo does not have self-serve check-out machines and they open at 6:00 AM. From this point forward, that is where I will be doing my early morning grocery shopping. Sorry it didnt work out, Vons. You lost a customer and the former cashiers will all soon be losing their jobs. Its a lose-lose for everyone. :(
