Young kids checking the groceries, he couldnt find a sticker on single tomatoes so he randomly decided to charge twice the amount for cherry tomatoes? Said he was going to take it off the bill but didnt. Pain in the butt to get refunded.

I give them a ten over ten. The reason is simple, they are dedicated and 9 out 10 times I leave the place with what I need. I wish the store was bigger with more good Vons stuffs. Their vegetables section is compact but there is plenty of essentials, the checkers/baggers and managers do their best to keep the flood moving.

After being greeted with ugly rainbow Ballon. Very expensive for the same brands that you can find in any regular store. Cheese always spoiled. Deli section depends on your luck with sometimes dirty staff. Fruits are always hard to eat and highly priced. Coke with offer are always flat. Shop someplace else. These stores are dying.

Clean store, fresh vegetables, price is right, good stuff, parking lot is plenty, the Vons app is fantastic, keeps all the receipts, also has recipes options, and can provide a list, I use it to get inspiration when I cook. It is worth it to look up.

Clean. Finding aisle werent difficult even though is was the first time. Like items were nice placed next to each other which made uit easy to find what I needed.Parking wasnt to difficult either.There is handicap parking. More Carts return spots were also placed in high traffic areas.There are different routes to exit the shopping center

This Vons is on the small size but service was very good. Did find everything I was looking for but 1 item. Was asked if I found everything I needed at checkout, I said I couldnt find 1 thing, the bagger went immediately to grab it, asked if this was right. Great service!

UPDATE!: Well the lack of stocked shelves continues and Ive discovered even more past due foods- including one of their premade salads being sold to me despite being 3 days out of date. The scent is absolutely horrid smelling like rotting veggies, the lettuce is beyond wilted and the cheese has become this weird gloppy mess. Really didnt think I would have to check to make sure they werent selling expired foods- mind you I guess I should now, since this isnt even the first time Ive discovered that something I bought at Vons expired days before I even bought it! Seriously nasty, the store hasnt improved at all! Theyre pretty understaffed so lines can get ungodly long, but thats not something the cashiers can help unfortunately.Terrible. While the workers there are nice save for one rude deli worker I encountered but even I can chock that up as maybe he had a bad day, thats the most I can say. The food is disgusting, from diseased avocados that tasted nasty, day-expired sushi that smelled fishy from outside the plastic cases, to cases of moldy strawberries- MULTIPLE CASES, that had been out for people to buy that even after I told the manager he did nothing about it. Theyre constantly out of basic things like lemons or butter, the shelves are consistently being restocked yet somehow theyre always out of stock. I once asked a worker where the corn starch was and she legitimately asked me with a confused face whats corn starch? Cut to another time I and my Mother-in law went to there asking for chicken stock. Again, total confusion and simply said try finding the chicken broth (not the same).

This is a smaller-format Vons, with a limited selection and quantity of things. Meat department, in particular, is quite small and poorly stocked. May be best to pick an alternative Vons, or the Ralphs down the hill.

During Covid this store came up with an incredibly logical system for lines. It is a tight compact space which they have utilized to great advantage. However by doing away with the single line setup the store is much more challenging to navigate.

The people that work there are great they were having a issue with computers management & a customer, that was going by the sale price everybody hadda wait. I had some clearance light bulbs @half price they couldnt get em to ring thru. So I said thx anyhow, &left with what I needed groceries wise .they kept the bulbs I kept my food items. I say take a deep Spiritual breath. Some days ya just gotta stretch them spiritual muscles a little bit more👍🌞😁🙏

A well stocked grocery store. Aisles can be a bit narrow for 2 people to pass, but most shoppers cooperate in making room. Nice produce selection, liquor, floral and meat department. Parking lot can be crowded during busier hours.Small area for checkout, so will need to wait in line for available checker(s). No self check area.Will definitely return for grocery shopping needs.

This is a small Vons. They dont have everything, but have the basics. I will say, I have been searching for Grape nuts flakes cereal, for years. I honestly thought they stopped making it. They carry it here! Very surprising. I think if you live in the area and shop at this store, you might want to ask the buyer to start carrying whatever item you want.

This place has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my entire life at a grocery store. They dont greet you, they dont tell you goodbye. Ill tell them to their face I dont need a bag and then theyll ask me if I want a bag. Ill tell them to their face I dont need a receipt and then they will try to hand me a receipt. Absolutely bizarre. Whats worse is, Ive received the same from the supervisors that work here

Way overpriced. No one around to help. Only 2 registers opened with more than 6 customers in each line. Didnt even have any express line. I will not be going back. It was in the shopping center next to the house Im staying in for the summer, so it was convenient. Next time Ill just drive to a better store.

The only experience worse was TSA at LAX. Rude cashier, yelling at me about my cart I left aside saftly to get to the deli, without blocking other shoppers. This is not the first time this type of terrible non-customer service has happened to me at this location. I WILL NOT GO BACK. I live on the Mesa Id rather drive in traffic and go elsewhere rather than support my neighborhood Vons SAD!

We wont go back. Cashier had hideous attitude.we were overcharged 11.00 dollars on 2 steaks from meat dept and when we explained price was wrong he glared at us. Rather than argue with him we left them. He had bad attitude from time we walked up to counter. We really felt we should have just left all the groceries but didnt. We just wont return

The lines are always soooo long, its ridiculous. I typically spend more time standing in line here than I do actually shopping. The sandwich makers are painfully slow, and you cant pay at the counter, so you have to take your sandwich and wait in the line with everyone else

We all love having the Vons on the Mesa. It may be the second smallest store in the chain after the Catalina store, but they pack a lot into it, the employees are friendly, and its convenient. Were thankful its there.

If youre in montecito and looking to buy groceries, check out Vons and montecito. They have a section for cheese, a section for meat, a section for seafood, a section for processed meats, a section for vegetables, a section for Asian food, a section for Frozen foods, a section for beer, a section for wine, a section for cocktails, a section just for donuts and bagels and even more things than you could even imagine.Personally I like to buy kombucha there.Im also a huge fan of the jalapeno cheese bagel, if you put cream cheese on this bagel it is one of the best bagels available in the town of montecito.Also the deli can make fresh to order sandwiches. Im also a big fan of fruit they have a great variety of fresh fruitThe parking lot is rather small and usually harder to park in because of small parking space sizes

This store was pretty good before the pandemic but now it’s impossible to find a employee to help you because they’re all at the two checkout stands trying to deal with the checkout line that wraps around the store. I’m sure it has something to do with social distancing at checkout but it’s just not worth going here right now.

If you can get pass the ice-cold fridged temps inside, youll find most of what you need.It lacks a lot of sundries though, that youll have to go down the way to RiteAid.The lanes are super narrow, be prepared to walk sideways at times with traffic.They do have alcohol and organic produce at a much better price than Lazy Acres across the street.

Ever since the Albertsons merger, this store is totally terrible. Produce guys wearing headphones, the surliest butcher in town, long lines, mediocre prices. About the only thing I go there for now are loss leader meat sales and the tortilla chips, but the last few batches of those were fried in such rancid oil they smelled like fish. Yuck

Selection is good, its cheaper than anything in the Mesa if you want produce go next door to mesa produce . Ralphs down the hill is cheaper if you are looking for deals. Lazy acres has good meat deals occasionally but everything else is usually oberpriced
