I havent been in a Vons since the 80s and wasnt expecting much. Wow..nice vibe to the place, clean,well stocked and very friendly staff.However, the exterior could use a facelift.

Id like to compliment Seema Sharma, the Ready to Meal Lead, for the excellent service she provided me with. It was my first time ordering a deli sandwich and Seema not only made it quickly, but she packaged it great. And, it was the best sandwich I ever had. Its obvious that Seema is committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Not only are the clear signs requiring masks not enforced for the roughly 50% of unmasked customers, the staff are also casually ignoring it. This will beome a report to OC Environmental Health. Got to love this Vons...... Love the selection of foods that you will not find somewhere else. If your planning a b.b.q. or a family dinner, this Vons has what you need to take care of your food cravings. A lil bit on the expensive side, upscale but not bougie enough to break the bank!

Normally I go to Costco. This is the first time Ive been here and probably over 15 years. I bought a salad with some freshly made chips guacamole and salsa for the Super Bowl. The price was reasonable, clean and friendly. As far as price is concerned you can make up your own mind whether its expensive or not based on my pic.

Could not get eye contact with any staff in the deli; after a brief wait, I left. Ran into 2 subsequent staff in 2 different aisles. Not only was there no eye contact, they blocked my path per their duties. No apologies nor attempt to move. I must have been frowning as I encountered a manager who asked if he could help. I explained my concerns. He offered to walk me back to the deli; I declined. This was in the middle of a weekday, not many customers. Note the standard of friendliness/ helpfulness did not come into play until I found a manager and too upset to invest any further in the store. Per the current price of groceries, am not interested in this kind of experience.

Everything was cleaned and stocked really well, and the man working on the coolers was really nice to my son and I. Bryan the cashier seemed to be a bit uptight, wouldn’t really acknowledge me was only there for a dollar, and whisked my groceries across the line as quickly as he could. Very short (one to two word) responses to my pleasant conversation. If not for this, it would have been five stars.

The store itself is alright, but if youre looking to complete a quick shopping trip, this isnt the place to do it. Cashiers are understaffed, and their 3s a crowd policy is never actually followed. Otherwise, staff is friendly, and the produce is great. I just cant justify spending 15 minutes in a checkout line for 1 or 2 items.

This is a large store, so they have a very good selection of items. The other local Vons is not as large. This store is always clean whenever Ive gone in. I love utilizing the Just For You savings. I save crazy money on every trip! In the back of the store they have a large selection of discounted items too, which I always check out. Parking is plentiful and easily accessible. The only reason I didnt give it all 5 stars is because they need to work on their friendliness. Grumblie, grouchy people dont make me want to patronize a store. Cheer up people! You work at an amazing store! Anyway, great store, great prices! Go! Now!

Friendly staff and decent selection. My 2nd favorite grocery stop on my commute to work, and Id do all my shopping here over at my bros down the street if it werent for the ever increasing prices, which Im sure is not all the grocers fault being such a large chain and location. Young lady with blonde long hair at the self check out at 1:10pm Wednesday 4/5/23 is a racial profiler 3 people at the self checkout yet she decided when I went to check out to only look at what I was scanning and checking out bought about ten Arizonas and she wanted to pretend like she was fixing bags when there were no bags to be fixed. She made it so obviously she was observing what I was doing because I can feel her eyes staring at me its really sad that people judge you based off the color of your skin, a gentleman who decided to check out next to me didn’t get the same treatment which we all know why, she went back to her register the moment I grab bags to bag my items why didn’t she go outta her to still stand there as the guy was checking out? If I wanted to steal I Daam sure wouldn’t do it at the self check out!!!!

This place always has a line, only 2 registers open, and never says anything to the people walking around the store with only a face sheild or who pull their face mask under their chin in order to see better and get inches away from products. They also left items out of my bag that I had paid for. I will say the gentleman stocking bread in the bread department was wonderful, had a kind demeanor, and was quite helpful.

I walked in and went straight to the deli which was horrible the guy Tony was incredibly rude. However I continued my shopping. I went to the bakery and Ms. Irma helped me. The nicest lady ever. She was off the clock simply came back into the bakery because she left her fone behind. Yet she still took the time to answer my questions and help me out.. She was seriously incredible. The top reason I am rating a 4 star. If it wasnt for the deli I would give a 5 star

Update: Bakery has gone down hill. If they feel frozen, I suggest passing. Otherwise, if its still my go to!Vons is my go-to for groceries. The only hiccup with this branch is the deli. You have to be super specific with how youd like your cold cuts, otherwise you will be disappointed at how careless they are with the cold cuts.Their baked goods are awesome!!! The banana nut muffins and carrot cake are to die for! 😊

I always come here for flowers they are always so fresh and the girls make beautiful flowers arrangements for me. On Saturday November 7th I can in last minute looking for one of the girls I usually come with to make me a flower arrangement it was already 6 so I feared they wouldn’t be there. When I arrived I asked one of the managers and she sent a girl name Jennifer I believe she helps in the flower department sometimes. She was Amazing so helpful and caring about what she was doing. She made the most beautiful flower bouquet for me! She was awesome!

Hoping more demand for sushi here results in even more variety and supply.I like to get my Del Real brand products here too. I avoid this store as much as possible. Its so cold my ears are frozen and hurt before I leave. Very very uncomfortable. Service deli, meat counter and bakery employees all have attitudes. They are actually rude the majority of the time. I go to the smaller Stater Brothers down the street. Helpful employees and better prices.

I LOVE the manager named Frank. There is alsoa few SELECT few of others that are personable and just genuinely kind. However, they have many checkers who have NOTHING but attitude. The store is slow on stocking some items but this world is upside down right now and not a big deal. The store is finally getting a much needed face lift because it hasn’t been redone in years. The people in the Deli department who work evenings are wonderful. The butcher department has some great people too. I LOATHE going during the day because they have a female butcher who can be rude. This is our home store because we live so close BUT what makes me coming back is the people. However, this is their major flaw and it really annoys me, a lot of them just don’t care how they package your groceries. I typically try to make it easier on them and put everything up by it’s categories. The meats with the meats, soft breakable items with likewise products, cold stuff with the cold stuff, I’m sure y’all get my drift. Many checkers just toss or are aggressive with food items, or package meats with chemicals (yes I used the word aggressive, there is no other way to put it when a checker grabs your loaf of bread like a football and your bread is now squished at the top or squished in the middle. Or when products are tossed so hard that they bounce off the very end of the table where the bags are held) Most of the time I will grab my bananas or stuff that I don’t want bruised to just put in the cart myself. Sometimes they beat me to the punch, like today. I was trying to help them bag my groceries and forgot to grab my bananas. But low and behold I get home and they are shoved into a bag with a hard pineapple and a big thing of coffee creamer. I get this this first world problems to complain about this but when you bruise fruits and vegetables and make it so the product is actually punctured than they go bad, that is good food wasted. When you place meats with chemicals, especially AJAX (we alllll know the powder of the AJAX still gets out) it has a higher chance of ruining the food especially because the packaging on the meats can be so thin and delicate. Yes I put my meats in a clear bag that they offer, BUT it still doesn’t matter. Those bags don’t stay on tight and sometimes there is NO bags available. I realize nothing is perfect in life but is having UNbruised bananas to much to ask.

Neat clean, fairly nice staff. The only thing I dont like about any of the Vons I go to is the fact that they wipe the carts off with a rag, that just accumulates and spreads the germs after one or two uses. DIRTY, wipe the cart down with your own wipes.

Ah, the Vons from my wife and Is first few years of marriage. This store always served us well, from produce that you could eat unlike other locations of this brand, to a great bakery, even the floral department is nice. The best time I always found was in the early early morning, around 4:30-5:00am the grocery stocking staff are either finishing or just starting but they are always pleasant. The cashiers, eh not so much, they were rude when we lived in Costa Mesa and still now that we dont, oh well, we moved. This store (and the floor staff) has a special place in my heart and I do like occasionally stopping by when in the area. Definitely a great store and example of what Vons advertises.

This vons is just ridiculous. Ive been here a few times and every time I do I regret it. The staff here are just the dullest, most unhappy people Ive encountered. I get it, its a job and you dislike it but part of your job is to try and act like youre at least enjoying it. I would rather them not greet me at all than greet me with their eyes looking like they just got out of bed or are absolutely hating their time there. Tonight was the last time, even if I am dying of thirst and need a simple water, that Ill be visiting this store. They always have 1-2 check stands open when Im here regardless of how long lines might be. Tonight the checker not only looked like she didnt know what she was doing, but when she asked the bagger to check an item price, he stood there looking like he had no idea what to do. The checker then left to check herself after standing around and looking like she had no idea what to do as well. When she returned and was getting ready to ring us up, she wiped her nose with her hand, then coughed and instead of turning away and covering her mouth, she turned her head TOWARDS the conveyor belt and coughed a bunch of time right over my items. I was tempted to go exchange them but at this point I just wanted to get out of that store. I will now make the trip to the Albertsons up the street instead, much nicer inside, much friendlier staff, and I wont have to worry about people wiping their nose and touching my stuff after coughing all over it. I am so irritated I literally came on here specifically to leave a review about how unsanitary and downright terrible the service was here. The company itself needs to either retrain the staff or simply replace them with those who are willing to at least smile when they greet people. Compared to other cons Ive been to, this place is a joke. It looks and feels as if management and corporate have simply said forget it just let them do whatever. The absolute worst store I have ever been to hands down. Having to wipe down my groceries with sanitary wipes when I get home really is the icing on the cake.

My favorite vons to go to. Employees are super friendly and helpful. I can always find a great deal and $5 fridays are the best. The rewards program is great too for saving on fuel. I can always find fresh produce and my favorite snacks at a great price. I usually go for produce, salads, snacks, and the meat when on sale. The ranchera can be at a great low price from time to time.

Went shopping at Vons today around lunch time. They were out of stock on alot of items, but thats the new normal right now. The employees were all calm and working very hard. You take your life in your hands while walking from the parking area to the store. I have, in the past month, nearly been hit by 2 different cars. They totally ignored the pedestrians in the crosswalk. Something needs to be done for our safety.

This store is just ok. They had what I was looking. The layout of the store is odd. No flow to it for finding depts. Cashiers are nice but while I was in line behind a couple customers, the cashiers were all arguing about the direction there boss had given them. They were ignoring there guests. Just lacked professionalism. I would go here if I couldnt find what I was looking for at other grocery stores.

Great grocery chain, along with Safeway, Albertsons, and the Pavilion stores, they seem to be taking over the supermarket business in California. The stores are always clean and well stocked. I can almost always find whatever it is Im looking for....from fresh flowers to ground bison....Vons has it (and if they dont the Pavilion does)!

Expect long waits for cashier and zero reps at the customer service desk. Go to Stater BrosI just left after waiting for the customer service desk to actually have someone there. Long story short, the cashier was too busy chatting with a fellow coworker about getting her nails done that forgot to scan a coupon I handed her. I went to the customer service desk to see if it can be resolved and lo and behold, no one was there. Do not use the Coin Star, or visit this Vons! Frank, the manager is one of the rudest people you can meet. The coins stuck in the terminal. After waiting 10 minutes for him to come by the kiosk, he ensured me it was my fault and he cant fix the coinstar. There is only one girl who can he stated!? I had to leave my phone number. The next day, my receipt was printed. The 11.9% was not waived, and the book keeper was just as rude as Frank..She said the coinstar is 3rd party and they cant help(or care).. I went to cash what had been printed, and was almost denied by that cashier since it was the next day!? Seriously the rudest, trashiest group of employees one can encounter...

Over priced items. Everything is overpriced and then discounted to give customer feel that they save something. Staff is rude and they dont practice any hygiene protocol. Moreover, Covid-19 gave them excuse to refuse returns after they sell spoiled food. I had receipt and was returning within a week and they rudely refused to accept return of unused item. Watch your receipt. Multiple times when Ive bought meat on sale they charge wrong price. I bring in receipt with picture of product and got refund. Found out today you get a 5.00 gift card if they charge wrong price. Well they have never given me a give card. Today I caught the price before I paid and she said u only get gift card if they charge you. So basically wait til you pay. Show receipt and u get refund and gift card but must ask for it.

There is a Vons closer to me, but I prefer the Mesa Verde Center. The property is always maintained a d well lit plus a security guard is on site walking or riding a bike. Owned by C.J. Segerstrom pride of ownership is evident.

Worst customer service of any Vons I have ever been too.Bakery screwed up cake order,Older lady at the deli is more concerned with flirting with the young male employees rather then make a sandwich the customers order.Cashier at the check out register was flat out rude when we declined taking their their club card.Management is dropping the ball here!

This store is very rude even the manager my husband worked here and was one of the best workers ever when my husband got cancer he had to leave to have surgery and was gone 2 months and gave them a note and everything and they would not let him back to work and when he went to apply for another job and everything and stores denied him and said this store manager and people here are saying bad stuff about him when he did nothing wrong and they are believing other people like his ex wife instead of my husband when she says he stocking her when he not this store is the worst store ever very very rude
