2021-03-10 17:41:44For the past 8 years, my sons and I love shopping at Vons. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The butcher Ricardo is super friendly that he always says hello. The produce and meats are freshly and neatly displayed.Special kudos to Vons keeping the shopping carts clean and always neatly lined up in the front of the store. There’s a person dedicated to clean the carts during the pandemic. We feel safe using the carts and getting our groceries there. Thank you Vons team!!!

2023-07-29 23:05:34A good grocery store. I was surprised at the deals here. Maybe it’s because we’re from out of town., but my family liked the store and the produce that was here. The location was good with plenty of parking. Next time we’re in town., we would have no problem coming to another vons. Look forward to our next visit.

2024-06-12 19:42:28Renovation is nice, staff is friendly depending on what time or day you walk in. Bathrooms are nice. Store is clean and always stocked. Bought a bag of microwave rice one time to find out it was opened and spoiled when I got home. I know I should’ve checked it when I grabbed it, but I was in a hurry. But shouldn’t the workers be checking too? Also, there’s several employees that are just rude or aren’t very welcoming, specifically in cashier and hot deli. You can tell by the looks on their faces that they either hate their job or their work environment is unpleasant. Raw deli is super friendly, though. I’ve worked customer service so I brushed it off at first, but being rude and sassy is ridiculous. I’ve even been shorted on change after I double checked my receipt with my own calculator on my phone. I came back to this store 3 times in the same day asking for rotisserie chicken. A worker told me they were in the oven and would be ready in an hour. I left and when I come back the same worker tells me there’s none? Not that they all sold out, just that there was none with no further explanation. Unfortunately even though this is the closest grocery store to me, and they have self checkout which is super convenient, I’ve opted to just go to different stores that are even farther away that provide more satisfactory customer service. So if you’re doing a quick run don’t be afraid to come in, just don’t expect anything above bare minimum.EDIT:There is one worker in particular that always finds distaste for me when I come in. She always forces herself upon me when I insist on using self checkout. Saying snooty things along the lines of “it would’ve been faster if I checked you out.” One instance I was here during some sort of important check up from their higher ups, and she INSISTED she checked me out, and even pushed my entire cart FROM self checkout to her lane. I’m not sure if it was being enforced that day or if she was simply just trying to look busy. But it definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I also noticed the workers even act different when she’s around. I really hope there isn’t a toxic work environment behind the scenes. And if I, as a customer, can sense something, I wonder what it’s like when we’re not present. But anyways I love that this store has self check out because it’s fast, convenient, and I get to see all the discounts on items I purchase. (When I’m allowed to use it.) The Albertsons Diamond Bar location doesn’t have it.There’s another worker with red hair, I see her almost every week. She is very attentive, bubbly, and helpful. The other male cashiers, when I do get helped by them, are helpful and friendly as well. With the renovation, they renamed their aisles to coincide with streets in the city. It’s honestly really cool. I thought I would point out that Aisle 7 is spelled wrong. It’s “Nogales” not “Nogalas”I will say that the rotisserie chickens are more readily available, which is nice. And I have yet to run into another opened/spoiled product. The store is still always clean and presented beautifully. But it seems the main issue is the small number of toxic workers that seem to spoil the rest of the store like a plague.

2023-11-10 01:12:40I shop here out of convenience, but absolutely dislike this store. I come around 8 AM and there is only self-checkout every time and it can be such a pain when you are purchasing a week worth of grocery or buying alcohol. And some of the staff still have the nerve to give you attitude. The produce is not fresh and definitely overpriced.

2023-12-16 19:37:20I would label this store as Non-Asian-friendly since, as an Asian, the African American female cashier consistently exhibits an unfriendly attitude, appearing to disdain Asians and giving disdainful looks. We didnt owe her; we were there to shop. If we had a membership card, I wouldnt have to interact with her at the cashier line. I now understand why self checkout is so popular, because employees who discriminate shouldnt hold such positions. I would give a rating of zero if possible.

2024-03-22 21:24:21Vons is here to stay, hopefully after Kroger merger. Close and conveniently located. Plenty of parkings. Clean and organized. Check the App for deals. If you have free items on your app, you can forget about it.

2023-06-12 18:52:31I would only went to this location once. The attitude of some of the staffs in checkout area (suspect one of them is the supervisor), were really horrible. For a second I thought I owed them money. Is there any rules that require employees to have a poker face?Only 2 or 3 employees who are sorting the goods were friendly and smiled to the customers. I point 1 stars to this location for whose work hard and still be friendly to customers. Otherwise I would point 0 because this is the worst Vons I went in South California even though it said this locations has served for almost 40years.

2023-08-04 23:52:56I have been shopping here for over a decade. I used to really enjoy it. Good deals on Friday and with clippable coupons. Well today an employee did not honor the free bread policy between 4-7pm. I went to get bread there was only cold breads so I grabbed one and figured i didnt mind because itd be free. Well, when I went to pay in self checkout I alerted the cashier that the bread was cold and I wanted to get it free, she ran off to the bakery in the back and came back moments later with hot bread. Mind you, bread that was not on the floor for sale. And told me its only if hot bread isnt available. Well, hate to tell you but if the bread isnt out for me to grab and you have to go get it and bag in behind the bakery then its not AVAILABLE is it?This is blatantly deceptive as well because the sign just says if its not hot its free, limit one per customer. It does not say if we can manage to find one hot for you it isnt free. Isnt the whole point of giving away the cold breads for free to ensure the bread is fresh later in the day and not the old stuff from the morning? Because she just put the cold bread back where I got it in the basket, meaning itll be sold later after 7pm for the same 2.50 when its near day old bread.Makes no sense. Ive only used the free bread option 3 times in the DECADE Ive shopped at vons and never once has an employee told me if they could find a hot one I cant have the free cold one. Absolutely deceptive and quite rude how she just shoved hot bread at me when I told her i just wanted the free one that was being advertised.Hope you are happy to lose a long term customer over a dollar fifty because I also had a clipped coupon that took a dollar off the regular price as i was already planning to buy a bread. I regularly spent 150 ish a week at vons locations, I will no longer shop at any vons. I dont buy from businesses who dont honor their promotions. If you as a business think the two dollar bread is worth losing a customer who has generationally shopped at vons locations (my parents shopped vons my entire childhood) and on my own shopped vons for over a decade (used to encourage my own children to shop there, wont any more) then go right ahead. Personally, I was willing to buy it to begin with but figured Id use the promotion since it was avaliable, now i understand its just a lie to make customers think vons cares about freshness when they dont because that bread went back in the basket for sale.Thank you. Have a great day. I really miss the old employees who were friendly.

2023-07-05 15:15:23Nice store, but the deli worker needs some hygiene training. Picked up dropped chicken off floor with gloves and then proceeded to toss freshly cooked chicken with same gloves. She said she used her other hand to pick up chicken off the floor, but saw her use both in the chicken. Needless to say we walked out after letting the worker know.
