I stopped here looking for a certain beer which they were out of, I asked one of the employees who was very courteous and quick to help me. He even recommended me a beer that I enjoyed. This grocery was really clean.I have bought my meats from Vons groceries tomahawks ribeye very good quality. The people up front who work the registers are very courteous.

Come to the store to buy a money order and am told with no supporting documentation that they only take cash for a money order. If I have to go to the bank and get cash why would I come back and give my business to a store with a “SUPERVISOR” named Ricky Chal that has the absolutely worst customer service and attitude. Came out with his chest pumped up and butted into my conversation with his other supervisor and belittled him and myself. He was nothing more than a wanna be big bully. I will be calling corporate. I will make sure Neighborhood app knows about this Vons and so will the community that keeps the Vons going with their business.

I am a regular customer at this location, I have no problems with the store. I love how clean, organized and modern it is. My dislike is an older female employee that works or helps in their bakery and at the register. My first encounter with her was at the bakery, she was rude and full of attitude. She also made me feel as if I was going to steal. When I tried asking questions she ignored me. Now that day I ran in with sweats and a tshirt from working in the yard but it was very ugly the way she acted towards me. My next encounter was at the register, she didnt greet me or even fake to be friendly. Which I get because maybe she was having a day, but when another coworker entered the building she said hi to her and attempted to say it in Spanish. I feel offended, especially because she makes me feel very unwelcomed yet your using a language that I could clearly tell is not your native tongue. I dont know if anyone else has experienced this but its a shame when im there to buy for my household and made to feel like I dont belong there.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I’m done with this place. Went to meat counter and older worker extremely rude. Even his co-worker agreed. I simply asked for smaller cut of meat and he got visibly upset because I didn’t ask for it thinner….apparently the correct nomenclature. He walked off in a huff to the meat section to find a piece. I complained to assistant store manager and he seemed lost/aloof.I’ve always swore I would never shop here again but this experience broke the camels back. They have inadequate cashiers, you wait in line forever, no hand held baskets, etc, etc.Garbage store. Don’t shop here.

I order all our cakes from Vons for our parties, birthdays. Lately they just seem to be not following instructions when making their custom cakes. The last two I’ve ordered they were wrong, one they didn’t want to fix. I paid more so I had to wait to have them actually print the picture to put on the cake. It still wasn’t how it was supposed to look white frosting instead of all chocolate. There prices have increased buy at least $10.00 for a custom one also. Not too happy need to look elsewhere for cakes.

This location is always generally pretty clean. Starbucks employees are extremely friendly and helpful, which is the main reason I keep going back. Their Starbucks cup selection is usually fairly decent. I really like this store overall and recommend for sure...🙂

On July 5th, my mother-in-law went to buy $122 worth and got charged twice. We have been trying to dispute it but they say their bookkeeper cant find it. To me it sounds like someone is committing fraud. We also, found two other people that said they go overcharged. This store is a joke. I am going to stay away from these thieves. Btw, we had the receipts but still they apparently dont believe their own receipts they give you.

Worst experience today. Was in line at least 15 minutes. Called them (while I was at the store) to ask if they had more checkers. Just received an answer of no (after I told them I had been in line for 15 minutes). And to top it off I bagged most of my own groceries! What happened to customer service & getting the manager in charge to help out? Unacceptable. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere where they care about the customer. There are several other stores in the area, Sprouts & Staters, that have much better customer service.

Vons has a great selection of food. I love their fruit and veggie department. Its always so fresh.Their prices may be a little higher, but they have great specials on many of their grocery items and if you shop their deals the prices will add up to the same or maybe a little cheaper than the average grocery store. I like that they get you in and out of the check-out line quickly.

I called the produce department to find out if they had any more beats that they had on sale and I press the correct button for produce the lady answered produce department. How can I help you so I asked if they had any more of the regular beets? she said I don’t know I’m at lunch you will have to call over there I responded I call produce you answered produce, but what I thought was really bad about that was the fact that she said she doesn’t know and is on lunch she should not have answered the phone if she was on lunch that was very unprofessional. 11/2023. Went over to buy some bread. And notice the signature bread I usually buy was not there. And also the signature English muffins I wanted werent there either. The six count. I was there around 9:45 a.m.. these shelves should be ready to go and stalked. I shouldnt have to travel to each location to find the bread I need it should be at the one Im at. Ive been in stalking business for 25 years no excuse.

Im not really a fan because the prices are generally higher than everywhere else. I was there for one reason....Milagro Tequila was on sale! The people that shop there are rude! They act like they own the store. They do not act with courtesy 😒. I know when Im wanted and that store is not for me. Oh and lets not forget the cashiers. Just flat!!! No interactions! Excellent friendly staff. Staff is always trying their best to help customers. Clean restroom. They always ask you if you need help to put groceries in your car. Which Ive seen them do it to the elderly and handicapped people. They always have fresh produce. Has a Starbucks and a Jamba juice. Very clean overall.

Their pickup service is a complete joke. My order today was missing items, and all their staff had to say was well ok. UPDATE: I went back later to pick up the missing items in person. They had told me those items were out of stock. Guess what? They where all there in the store! Two hours after they said they where not in stock. Can I give them a zero?

Employees are often ruder than they need to be, and management still hasnt figured out how to schedule for peak times, even though a simple Google search will show this. Expect one, maybe two cashiers even when very busy, and long lines. The pharmacy personnel will ignore customers until they are good and ready to look at anyone and acknowledge people have been standing at the desks waiting for at least a greeting or a just a minute.

This Vons is really nice inside. They dont really have a large selection in veggies which is a downside. Appearance wise they look like they have a lot but its the same items except one is organic. This is my neighborhood Vons and its more expensive than any other market nearby. They also have a consistent way of over charging during check out. Most times I wont catch it until I get home which is pretty infuriating. When you catch it there the manager there is not happy to help you correct the mistakes. Last time she made me wait 15 min while my ice cream melted to fix a over charge. Not acceptable. The ladies at the deli are awesome on the plus side. So over all 3 stars.

This Vons is spectacular! Everything is in place and well organized. The employees were also well dressed and well groomed. I doubt being well groomed is a requirement there, but they are. What a site to see! Also there was not a single long line at any register although the store had plenty of customers. I plan on visiting this specific Vons store on a regular basis. I hope others can visit this store if they havent already.

Really easy to get in and out of lots of parking and a Starbucks inside. Has good quality produce and always clean. Very friendly staff and I like their deli section but I wish they were a little faster. Sometimes it takes a while and theres usually only 1 person helping. Lots of self check out stations and theres also a Jamba juice and a pharmacy inside.

They have excellent sushi chefs. Real quality sushi. Ive shown up around 5 pm and seen the standard rolls (CA, spicy tuna etc.) marked down to $5. Hot soups. Starbucks. Also their pharmacy is tops. Pharmacy staff is top notch. Make sure you get a Rewards card. Not the cheapest market, but some good bargains with the Rewards card.

The only good thing about this place is Starbucks! I went in there wanting to get something from the deli, I walked right up and saw two employees. I was waiting for someone to acknowledge me but that didn’t happen so instead I asked if I could get some help. The man and woman working just pointed me to the register so I went over there and waited and waited and waited I was starting to get impatient so I walked all around the deli department to see if anyone else could help me but none of the employees ever looked up to acknowledge me or greet me! I walked back to the register and again no service!!! I finally just walked over the Starbucks and gave them my money the two girls working there were super nice! Edd from the Meat Department is one of the star employees at this location. Every time Im in the store, he greets me, is extremely friendly and can help me not only pick out meat that day, but he also gives me great tips/ suggestions on how to cook it up. I worked at Vons over 15 years ago. His customer service is second to none. Ruby in the Floral Dept also has amazing customer service. Shes made me balloon bouquets and arranged flowers for me. She always has a smile and is very respectful.

My downloaded coupons showed up on my phone.... but when getting in line to pay.... maybe only ONE would show up!!! The guy said.... I cant do anything, this is what shows up on the computer... offered no solution!! In the meantime theres people waiting in line behind me😕.....so I said cancel everything out, Ill go to service desk..... while in line there, a really nice manager.... I assume, female, came up to me and asked whats the problem? I explained...she said, Ill give you the credit, BUT you need to use the app.....so, today, new week, new coupons...down loaded what I wanted and then couldnt find it!! SO, I decided that I better download the app like she said! Guess what ? It said your device isnt compatible with the app..... REALLY!? Every other stores apps are!! Wow ! Lets talk about this place ! Im starting with the good, the place is clean, its always perfectly stocked. The prices are a little bit on the higher side but the club deals make the difference . Lets talk about the ugly !! The service is awful ! With one exception, the nice people at the Deli, they are so nice and helpful. The worst are the cashiers, they are rude, specially if u are hispanic, i have experienced a few uncomfortable moments there . Staff from produce department are always in a bad mood . I hate the fact that is the closest grocery store to my home . I avoid going there but sometimes i have to. I might not going back after my teenage daughter told me Mom, this is the first time i can really understand what discrimination feels like we usually do our grocery shopping at Sprouts where we feel so welcomed, where people cannot be nicer.This Vons is just horrible !!!

I walked in to get 2 bottles of wine for a dinner party. I saw a price of $7.99 on one of my favorite bottles, grabbed 2 and went to the cashier. When she rang me up it was over $30. I questioned her about the price and she said it was because I was not a club member that the wine was twice the price. She offered me a membership but as I dont live here it made no sense. I declined. Then she pushed a membership again. I said no thanks. She pushed it again and when I said no she gave me a dirty look and rang me up.. I had no idea this large national chain would discriminate so badly against non members. Ill never go into another Vons again after this experience.

I have shopped at this location a number of years and more and more the quality has deteriorated. I bought fried chicken there on last Thursday, and it was awful: dry, greasy, as were the potatoes. Great store. Its very much like a mix of rite aid and Ralphs. This particular spot is kept very clean and they have a Pharmacy with very helpful customer service all the way around. Their produce is not as cheap as say staters, But this is a very convenient one-stop-shop for the area its in.

TLDR: A great local market with mid to high end products that fit the clientel. Unusual layout.This was my first visit to this store located at the busy intersection of two major streets in the Foothill area.First, do yourself a favor and use the Vons/Albertsons app to get some of the best deals and free items. Blue tag items mean you buy minimum 5 of any of them and you get the discounted price.Its a very spacious store with an interesting layout. It took me a moment to figure it out. Cleaning, paper, & personal care products are in the center.A large flower/plant area is at the NE entrance leading to the spacious produce area. Theres a meat counter, seafood counter, deli, and bakery.Most of the shelves were well stocked and prices easy to find, but some of the sale items were sold out (see photos).

Im handicapped and I need to use the electronic buggies/shopping carts that they have there. This store is ALWAYS respectful and courteous to me. And they seem to go to great lengths to make sure that the buggies are available and well-charged for the people that need them. The store is clean and well-stocked. The only reason why Im not giving that 5th star is because it is really obvious that some of the employees are not happy working there. And for some reason they have a very hard time hiding it from the customers. I see it in the deli and bakery departments (mostly deli). Its been going on for a long time, at least 2+ years, and I have to admit, it makes me, a grown woman, uncomfortable. The deli department is usually very busy so I can understand the employees being under some stress but I should never have to hear them complaining about other employees/management out loud. They dont even go to the back room to complain. They do it right at the deli counter while customers are waiting in line. They complain to each other with scowls on their faces and then either turn and face the customer while they still have a scowl on their face or turn and face the customer and put a big fake smile on their face. Either way it makes the customer uncomfortable (Ive had several conversations with other customers about this so I know its not just me). So, when those employees can learn better customer service when it comes to hiding their anger, I will gladly fill in that 5th star. In the meantime, if I have to get something from the deli now, I drive all the way to Albertsons to do it. Not only do I not want to feel uncomfortable at Vons but I dont want angry employees cooking the food that Im going to be serving to my family, I just dont trust them. 😳

Deli lady demeanor is rude, uncouth, & acts unprofessional when a vendor which is promoting a product that they may have been placed in her deli, which may have been wrong location, but has nothing to do with vendor, she really needs help! I feel sorry for the Vons family for her attitude towards vendors, and if she treats me like that she will treat you the customer like that, and when Im out of uniform I am a customer. Bad attitude! From what I’ve experienced, Vons is a pretty nice grocery store. They’re following COVID regulations and keeping everything restocked. Although one thing I’ve noticed is Vons is a little pricey, so I recommend saving money at a place like Stater Bros. Other than the pricing, great grocery store.

This is the second time that I feel very clearly discriminated against at this location.The last time I was trying to use self checkout and I asked an employee for assistance and she said just go to a regular check out. She did not even try to help me .Today I went to self check out and I needed an employee again. I looked at the employee as she walked by and I could hear that on her radio it said customer needs assistance in bagging area she didnt even look at me and kept walking. I figured she was busy so I waited for her to come back and she never did. Another male employee just looked over and chuckled. My experience was one of the worst i ever had at a market . I went yesterday to buy a couple things. I had lost my atm card the same day earlier so I wanted to pay with a check. I was treated like I criminal . ( I did not even get her name is was so hurt so Ill call her ) The older african american lady was so rude to me. I dont even know what her position there was and did not even ask as I was so surprised how she treated me. She first was so rude to the clerk helping me mind you she was so sweet . She raised her voice at her in front of customers and told her she was doing something wrong. Then she rudely asked me to step away from the counter . So i followed since I did not do anything wrong. Then she said your bank account is new. I said no I had it for about 6 months now. She said well that new with hostility in her voice. Im thinking she was thinking that I just opened my account. Any way long story short, I have never been treated with such disregard and disrespect in my life. I always shop and Stater Bro, always accepted my checks and gave me cash back . Vons Upland, is a great place to shop, employees are the best! Unfortunately theres a problem with the homeless. Usually three to five in the late afternoon, a couple during the day and at night at the eating area. As you well know, they come with a number of issues, lice, flees, tics, and mostly really bad body odor. There is one man who brings his dog into the eating area! I purchase coffee at the Starbucks and sit at their customer table, you can smell the urine scent coming from the homeless while theyre charging their cell phones and using the WiFi not very kosher. I dont go to that Vons that often anymore and usually go to Ralphs or Starte Bros...

The Vons official coupon app does NOT work, so you end up walking around scanning for coupons only to not get the discount at the register.
