I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vons. The store was incredibly well stocked with a wide selection of grocery items. The aisles were well organized and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions or help out with finding the right items. The prices were also very reasonable and the store had some great deals and discounts. All in all, I had a great experience at the Supermarket and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good selection and great value.

This Vons has it all! Large parking lot, great produce, and a meat department that will customize for you. Large frozen section with a lot of variety. They have sushi made in house and on Fridays there are $5 specials through out the store. The check out lines can get long and the produce can be limited but overall a great store.Love this Vons...now has self checkout!

Bought a tri tip for a BBQ, when trimming meat the next day it had an odor of starting to rot. Went to return it and get a new one. Then the employee accused me of trying to return a rotten meat and would not let me return their product that they sold to me old. Will never shop here again if this is how they treat their customers

This is a great store. I just bought 12 balloons for $20 and was supposed to gift them the following day. They were on the ground by then. They guarantee them for 8 hrs dollar store told me theirs would last over a week.

Driving up the coast with my husband,and stopped at Vons on Turnpike for some supplies. We just moved to the area,and found that this Vons is the Best looking store weve been in in a very long time. The Deli was immaculate. Had a hard time not buying more than we needed because everything looked so good and fresh. Matt was so helpful. Let me sample different items and packaged everything up so well to have for our beach picnic! Thanks Vons for the great experience, and thanks,Matt for being so kind and helpful.

The best wine shop in town by far. And their manager, Jerome, really knows his wines and is always very helpful. Want help selecting a wine, ask Jerome. Looking for a wine not in stock, ask Jerome. Need a larger order of a specific wine for a party or other event, ask Jerome. Dont forget 10% off for six or more bottles and on select weekends (usually around holidays) its 20% off.The rest of the store is good also, but I go there for the wines.

Stopped by this Vons as Im new in the area and looking for a permanent grocery store. Its a little further from my house than some other stores,but this will be my permanent grocery location from now on. I dont really cook, unless Im grilling,so having a great Deli is very important to me. Hands down the best Deli of all the other stores Ive been to here in the S.B area. Ive never been treated so kindly and respectfully as I was treated by Matthew D. I probably bought more than I had intended, but its okay because Ill definitely use everything I bought. Matt made the chore of shopping an actual pleasurable experience. Going to go back next week to try out more of the suggestions Matt had . Thank you!

I shop at this location several times a week. I almost always go to the deli. Peter who works the deli and hit food area is such a gem! Hes the main reason I use this location. Happy, friendly and helpful he makes my experience shopping a pleasure! Thanks, Peter...keep up the good work!

Worst delivery service ever experienced. I made note I did not want substitutions, but four times they delivered unwanted substitutions and charged me for them. I called their customer service hotline and was able to resolve those. But today I ordered an item that was $20.82, but they charged me $32.88 for it. I called four times throughout the day and kept being told someone would resolve this. This is the worst experience I have ever had ordering from a grocers. Every single time I ordered, requesting no substitutions, they made them anyway and I had to report them to their customer service department. In this last case, my item cost $20.82 but they charged me $32.88 for it. I called four times asking that it be resolved, but each time was told someone would call me back . No one ever did. During my fourth and final call, I was placed on hold for a half hour, and then hung up on. I realized Vons was intent on forcing me to give up. I’m retired now but as a former investigative reporter, I believe that someone currently in media should I investigate them.

I Recently used the Vons drive up and go grocery delivery service. My schedule has been super hectic and I didnt have time to shop in the more traditional manner. So I checked their app for a more convenient option. I saw that i could.orser on my phone and then pick up my items when it was most convenient. I placed my order and later headed to the store. They had designated parking spots along with a number to call when I arrived. I called and told the friendly attendant what spot number I was in and next thing I know, my groceries where being delivered by a friendly employee named Laura. She made sure Everything was just as I requested, things were well packed and even loaded them in my car so I didnt have to get out. Over all it was a great experience that I absolutely recommend.

Shelves are well - stocked with very wide variety of items. As an ex. they have started to carry Enjoy Life dark chocolate chips that are allergen free. The store is clean, the produce fresh. The employees are super friendly and actually walk you over to where the item you were looking for is. Very courteous! My home store. Highly recommend.

Vons has periodic good deals on grocery items, but selection is limited. Produce and wine selection and quality are surprising, butcher is good but prices are pretty high. Large parts of the store devoted to soft drinks, packaged foods and snacks; consequently, baking and cooking selections are limited. In particular, selection of dried beans and rice are pricy and limited. Cannelloni beans only available canned, short grain glutinous rice or risotto is not available outside of packaged mixes.

Visited this Vons at the Turnpike Shopping Center. I prefer Ralphs and Gelsons over Vons.Had some rude people in the deli, who instead of helping me, made me feel like and idiot and then had harsh tones when I was trying to understand. They were a manager too. Which made it worse in my opinion.I do enjoy most the other employees, but that one experience was just too sour for me.I only shop there if I have too, or want to use their CoinStar machine (I believe that is what its called).

Big store for Santa Barbara area, however they have consistently the worst run deli of any grocery store Ive ever been too. I used to think it was the person who runs the deli, but after talking with store managers on multiple occasions regarding bad service and workers attitudes I have concluded theres a problem with store management . We love our corner Vons but today Norma from floral went way above an average employee ! My teen daughter told us she needed a boutonnière one hour before homecoming and Norma saved the day! She had been making Homecoming bling all day and was completely sold out. She said if we could come back she would try and make something as best she can. Smallest Vons/Safeway Ive ever been to. The layout in the aisles is such that you are literally shoulder to shoulder with other customers when passing. Prices are higher compared to Ralphs and even TJs. Customer service is just OK.. The reason for 3 stars is that they finally added self-checkout lanes, so its no longer that long wait at 1 or 2 checkout lanes open at a time like in the past. No vons gas here.

My personal favorite experience occurred recently. The Vons Bakery helped with our wedding! My husband & I are big fans of donuts opposed to fancy cakes. For less than $100 Vons bakery supplied us with a 5in chocolate cake top piece and beautiful black & white frosted donuts. They looked FANTASTIC and tasted amazing. Special Thank You to Marleen who took our order and made sure they were ready on time.In addition, this has been our Go To since the 5 Points Vons shut down. All employees are nice and welcoming.

Vons is like Safeway if you have experienced that chain before. It is more over priced than others but has a little different of options besides what all markets offer. It is easier to see when browsing the aisles what items are gluten free because they actually made a tag that says it. The only downfall to that is they have not made a gluten free tag that works with those items on sale with a digital download; therefore I had to do a double take and make sure my frosted flakes were what I really wanted to grab. Yes frosted flakes areeeee grrrrrreat because theyre gluten free!

This store has one ADA accessible check stand, which presently is closed and blocked by store inventory. I asked to speak to the store manager and a checker named Wayne, pointed me to a checker named Mai. I explained the problem to Mai, who struggled to understand the problem. Then Wayne inserted himself in to our conversation, insisting that every check stand was ADA compliant, pointing to the fold out accessible check writing surface and universal accessibility logo as proof. I explained that this one ADA feature does not make an check stand isle ADA compliant, and tried to educate him about required isle widths. He quite rudelydismissed my concerns. I returned to my conversation with Mai, who was slightly more empathetic but explained that the store was currently too busy to open the ADA compliant check stand. I reminded her, this is precisely why that check stand is required by federal law to remain open.*** Update ***After registering a complaint with corporate customer service, I got a prompt, courteous and encouraging call from the store manager Gene who assured me that he took my concerns seriously and would make it right. Gene was sincere and apologetic. Im elevating my rating from 1 to 3 for now. If this issue is resolved quickly Il revise again.

As is becoming the norm in Santa Barbara, grocery shopping is difficult here. It is so frustrating and takes well over an hour to do my weekly shopping here. Vons is always very busy, long lines, never enough courtesy clerks so I always have to bag my own groceries. Shelves are too high, items placed too far back and I usually have to climb to get what I need.... Never any clerks around to help. They always tend to be out of what I want, or, I just cant reach it on the shelf. Prices tend towards the higher end of things, but with fewer affordable options, I feel like Im forced to shop here for the items we need that we cant get at Grocery Outlet or the dollar store. Parking is ok, not great, but better than Trader Joes for sure. Were supposed to be getting a Bristol Farms, oh boy, just what we need, yet ANOTHER high end unaffordable grocery store. Time to start grocery shopping at WinCo in Ventura!

You need to compare the prices at the checkout to those advertised on shelfs. Today whole rosted chicken scanned at the checkout for 11.99 and the pice shown on shelf was 7.99. I reported it to manager and got a refund. It happened before with a bottle of wine. Be careful there. Memorize prices on shelf to that at checkout. I am not going there ever again.

Customer service is great .they also have great weekly deals but yesterday I bought fried chicken and potatoes wedges and they both tasted awful, some of the xhicken pieces werentw cooked all the way and still they tasted like burnt. I still went back this morning and bought some fresh made corn xhips and to my suprsurp they tasted the same as the chiclch and potatoes. This is not okay because it tastes really bad. They should change the oil they are frying things in. I am disappointed in their service.

We have had the WORST cake since the Goleta Bakery switched ownership. We ordered a cake for my Grandsons 5th birthday and the cake was too moist and terrible consistency. We have talked to a manager about a checker named, Selina Reyes who is absolutely the WORST checker around. Very rude and obnoxious. She destroys cake orders if she knows you have placed an order. I guess VONS is desperate to keep this heathen in their store. Next time, we will contact corporate office instead of someone in the store.

This Vons is located in the La Cumbre Plaza on upper State Street in Santa Barbara. I shop this Vons primarily for the produce and for the Red Box kiosk. Their produce is always very tasty! If you can catch a produce person, generally he or she will give you a taste of something wonderful BEFORE you buy. Thats always a treat! I love their summer produce. The prices and value are really great, especially if you dont have time for the farmers market. Vons is a great alternative!

Vons is Vons but for some reason this place has some racist customers....last 2 experiences werent good due to racist remarks from customers and staff did not intervene. I will not be going back.
