Ordered a custom cake. They didnt do any frosting except for a crumb coat so you could still see crumbs on the sides of the cake. Piping was lazy and inconsistent. It looks like the person rushed through the cake design and didnt correct mistakes. The writing on the top of the cake is not centered and is shaky at best. DISAPPOINTED is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I would say decorate a cake yourself. Or buy one of theres that the regional cake decorator did because a worker told me that the best looking cakes in the display were done by the regional person. IF YOU WANT A CAKE TO LOOK GOOD DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! Hopefully, it tastes better than it looks.I tried to include images but it wouldnt let me.Btw Im not normally someone who posts any negative reviews but this is bad.

This our neighborhood Vons, and it’s beyond upsetting to be writing this review with deep disappointment and frustration after experiencing discrimination for the second time at here. I had hoped that my first encounter was an isolated incident, but sadly, it seems that this is a pattern here. During my recent visit I went with my family, where we were subjected to rude and dismissive treatment from a staff member again when checking out. Despite giving this establishment another chance, we were met with the same condescending attitude and blatant disregard for basic respect and courtesy. Its incredibly disheartening to witness such behavior in this day and age. Will no longer be returning.

This review is solely regarding the MENS RESTROOM.As I walked in to the restroom I was pleasantly surprised to see it so CLEAN . Well, I was also sleep deprived and I did not notice until AFTER using the toilet, that there was not a single roll of toilet paper to be found! Thats one way to reduce employee overhead on cleaning duties. Got to hand it to you Oxnardians SOMEONE stole the toilet paper and the holder.

Beware of shopping here. Lots of scammers in the parking lot. I have seen people try to dash off with customer carts as they are existing the store. Fortunately the customer was able to ward them off. It’s Friday and I can see the scammers in the parking lot and have decided to go somewhere else. This Vons is targeted because it’s in an affluent part of the area. You are better off going to the Vallarta supermarket or Ralph’s. Seems to be less scammers.

The cashier guy who is tall with grayish hair was rude with an attitude. I wonder why these stores always hire rude people at the cashiers. I think they dont care thinking that we have no choices.......Follow up: I thought I can give the store another chance, but unfortunately that does not change the behavior or the attitude of the people working there, again especially that rude guy in the self checkout area, probably he is the one answering all of these negative reviews about the store.....I wonder how come the headquarters keep being quiet about this nasty store that possibly impacts their revenues on the long term...it seems no body care, anyway beware of going there.....have a tough skin and be ready to be rude to be able to deal with them......

Id rather go to Vons than Ralphs seems like they have everything there you could want. The milk is more expensive than Walmart, but I always go here for shopping. The deli counter is nice. They have a good selection and always have sales on meat and cheese. The produce area is clean and organized. Meat selection is good with the butcher. Always willing to help with questions or slicing a steak. The cashiers are friendly and the baggers are quick. I go here probably twice a week. I will continue going here for as long as I live in Oxnard wow, I just cant say enough about this place. It has lots of parking and the shopping center also has a gym Jersey Mikes, a fishermans catch, seafood restaurant, Chipotle mountain Mikes Pizza, and a couple other restaurants Im forgetting about. I believe theres two nail salons and a beauty salon. All in the same complex of parking can get a little hectic sometimes, but there is always somewhere to park

Latest and last review. I shop at Vons and about 1 month ago I purchased groceries and a loaf of bread that was moldy when I picked it up. I brought it back and it was replaced. 2 weeks ago I purchased groceries and milk for my grandchildren 5 days before the expiration date the milk went bad. I went to Vons today and picked up my groceries proceed to check out make sure I get my digital coupons and the checker was rude wanting to see my phone I told her no I clipped my coupons usually they just fix the problem not today and when I brought it to her attention she got a attitude this is unacceptable when I spending my hard earned money in your store so I left without my groceries thanks so much Yvette I will not shop in Vons anymore I will go to Ralphs

This is my neighborhood Vons and I go there from time to time. The cashier who is a middle aged woman, long brown hair and glasses asked me if I was with the lady behind me. I answered her no. She stopped acknowledging me and I told her I was there to buy a book of stamps only. I asked her if there was a problem? She said Yes. I dont like your attitude. I dont like your tone. You are annoying me. Really? I did nothing to this woman at all. She mentioned it was crowded all day. Then I gave her cash to pay. She needed 10 more cents. I handed her a dime. She saw my change purse and said she would like my pennies. She repeated she would like my pennies. I said I just want my stamps and to get out of here. I feel very uncomfortable. I left. Happy Easter to me. I get that a job can be stressful but do you have to verbally attack long term customers? Do you have any idea how expensive groceries are for your customers every single time we come in? I wont be returning. Ever.

A nice neighborhood grocery store. Friendly staff. Good selection. Fruits and vegetables are top notch. Good beer, wine & spirits selection. Lots of fresh baked goods. Jalepeno bagels are a must buy ! Pharmacy staff is nice with a semi private room for vaccinations. Store is always clean. Only drawback is the parking is crowded. Its a very popular shopping center, you might have to park and walk a bit. They do have express parking if you order online.

Very nice story. Extremely clean and orderly market. Fresh produce and meats. Self check out is quick and staff is willing to assist you with a smile. Mask are required and all staff comply with covid 19 requirements. They arent the cheapest market. You can find good prices on specials with your club card. Great place to shop for all your needs.

This is my go to store for Pharmacy, small to medium grocery shopping. Its close to my home, the shopping center has my favorite coffee shop, sandwich shop, burrito 🌯 place.I get my Fresh bread, salads mixes, fruit, vegetables and other small items here. Staff is great, super friendly.

The produce was very fresh and there was an excellent selection of both fruit and vegetables. The store was clean and logically laid out. It was a nice change from the Seabridge store which hides yogurt down an aisle instead of putting it along the wall with the other dairy. I think its worth the extra few minutes to drive here.

Took 15 minutes for the deli to make a chicken artichoke sandwich. Other locations would get this done in 5 minutes, at the most. Customers were leaving because the time it took for a single order to be completed. The associate seemed unskilled and inefficient at their job which really speaks more about the supervisors and management about training or lack there of. The cashier also acknowledged their deli “sucks” so it’s a known issue.

Im going to be polite but it sucked a 1 . Ordered a 5 bone prime rib was told could not pick up tomorrow had to be picked up by 6.00pm got there no prime rib no note for a prime rib even though she confirmed that morning at 8.30 . I walked in with my friends last night. We were gonna buy some martinellis and some sprite for new years. We paid for everything, and as we were walking out the door the workers were recording us saying we were stealing. They said that my black friend looks suspicious so were all banned. They called the police and lied to them about us as well. They told the police we were trying to steal alcohol, and cough syrup. This was completely not true. The ladys name was Amy, and the guy recording us was an asian looking guy who works in the seafood department. I wish the worst for you all who treated us they way you did. There was no good reason for us to be banned because my black friend looks suspicious. Amy was talking very rudely to this friend of mine. Be careful shopping here because apparently they ban you for looking suspicious.

This particular Vons is a huge, wide open store. I was visiting Ventura County and needed some groceries. This store had wide aisles, a fantastic selection of canned goods, produce, meat, and many more things. It was a quieter location, which is always nice. Definitely one of the better Vons locations.

Generally you can find all the products on your shopping list. I also use their shopping app for available deals, otherwise there prices can be a bit high. Tony in the produce department is always very nice and helpful. Avoid Raul in the produce department as he is always mean & grumpy and hates to help customers or answer questions. The check out clerks are always nice as are the grocery baggers. Deli has great choices. I have ordered the deli sandwich tray and it was beautifully presented. Except keep a hand on the top of the tray as the lid didnt fit the bottom part. I almost dropped it when I picked it up. Clerk in the deli said the trays were new and dont fit right. I had to ask her to tape it on the sides. Parking can be difficult sometimes, but ok if you like to walk a bit. Can get crowded during peak hours.

Went there Friday evening at 9 p.m. street racing in the parking lot in over a hundred people young people with no mask came back today and all of the items that were on sale that I wanted work on I was told I should have came yesterday I feel that management should have contacted the authorities to clear out their parking lot if the business was still open

At the counter where they have the cooked chicken and salads I watch the young lady who was taking raw chicken out of bags in the back come up and use the same gloves to serve a customer I told two of the employees that she should change her gloves neither one of them said anything to her and I didnt want to embarrass her in front of the customer the place was so busy I couldnt speak to a manager because the manager was working a cash register I think this is extremely dangerous for possibility of salmonella they need to instill better work ethics in their employees.

This is my favorite vons in oxnard. the staff and cashiers are ALWAYS pleasant and fun to talk to, the store is always clean and kept up well, theres always great sales going on, ive become a huge fan of their just for you program. i never shop there without it 😁 but apart from the people and the prices, i like that this vons stays open late. as a law school student, im often up late into the night studying...and i cant tell you how many times ive made 11:45 trips to this store to grab some ice cream, or oreo cookies, or some kind of junk food 😋 the nighttime staff all pretty much know me by now haha!! overall terrific place to shop and you wont be disappointed if you go!!

The cake I ordered was beautiful bit in edible. It was supposed to have butter cream filing and frosting. I dont think that was the case it was too sugary and not creamy. I found an awesome bday balloon but the party napkis wer priced at $8.99! And I considered buying a knife there to cut our cake but they were priced at $22 for just one knife. I understand buying quality but there were no other affordable options. My balloon, unedible cake, and small 8pk of plates- I didnt buy the napkins were $50, not bad at all of the car were as good as it looked, awesome balloon though😁

I have been shopping at Vons since 1983, because for what I buy, Vons is cheaper than Ralphs. But this particular store is the worst stocked Vons at which I have ever shopped. Ive asked, more than once, if this store will be going out of business because the shelves are so empty.Although some days and times are worse than others, it doesnt really matter whether its a week day or week-end, or if it is morning, afternoon or evening, the chances are I will not find everything I want, especially if they are on my Just 4 U list, which I have appropriately named my Not $ U list!I really like the people that work at this store, but I am seriously considering shopping at the 5th and Ventura Road store bewcause they have a better selection.

How sad when VONS employees start profiling Latino customers at the self-checkout. They watch and stop transactions, walk up to certain customers of color and tell them to leave everything on the counter and not bag the items until they double-check to see everything has been scanned in.
