Please recognize Eddie in the meat department and his high standard of quality customer service and work. I was impressed with how high of a priority he holds his work and care for me as a customer. I felt like I walked thru a time machine and found myself in the good old days when people truly cared about people. Thank you, Eddie (I might not be spelling his name correctly). I hope your shining example rubs off on all those you come in contact with. I sure has with me!! Please give him a raise! He appears to be worth it!

I have been getting my flower arrangements from this Vons since 2010 it seems like. I love how they take the flowers I pick and make an awesome arrangement from them. They really went out of their way this Valentine’s Day! Thank you to the whole florist grew that made it happen. I’m one happy customer…it’s been ten days and they are still beautiful…

Went here around 11:30 am today, old lady with the brown hair at the Starbucks refused to ring me up for a Poki sushi bowl that I wanted to buy, and wanted to prioritize her friend that was behind me who wanted Starbucks, even though I was there first and waited a good 30 seconds for her to finish up whatever she was doing before she got to the register. I used to work at a Starbucks in Albertsons, which is literally the same store owned by the same people as Vons, so I got the exact same training as them and I know you can ring people up for non-Starbucks items as long as it’s a couple things or less. I wonder how many other people she refused to serve in the past.

My Favorite Starbucks is in this Vons! They have the best baristas, make great drinks and super friendly! As for the rest of the store, I like the organic lamb they carry here. They also have really great sales on meat, you should definitely utilize the Vons App and save the coupons on there because it saves you tons more than just the sale prices. One thing about the store is the checkout lines are long and slow, so I always do self check. My biggest complaint about the store is that its always FRIGIDLY cold in the store! If management reads these, turn down thar air!!

Great place to shop. Only one lane was open at 8 am on Friday, November 24...a day after Thanksgiving. An employee saw two of us in line and she immediately opened another lane..no waiting at all. Cashier was friendly!Plenty of parking; store is located on El Norte Parkway, next to the Freeway exit!

This Vons, just like all other Vons/Albertsons in the area, is clueless when it comes to staffing. Two registers open the day before Thanksgiving? Really?! Looooong lines at the registers, long line at self checkout (which I hope they never remove, like they’ve done at other locations), and repeated calls for all cashiers to come to the front, which I’m pretty sure is just to try to appease upset customers because NOBODY showed up, and that announcement was made over and over the whole time I was in the store. Plus, multiple people going through self checkout with carts full of groceries, trying to figure out how to use self checkout, and the person watching over that area just sat there doing nothing the entire time.I’m only giving the store 3 stars because I can usually be in and out in less than 10 minutes (if I use self checkout, otherwise double that). Lately, though, I’ve had to dig through items on the shelf to find what I want because the varieties of things get jumbled, or in some cases the one I want won’t be stocked for weeks at a time. I generally like to do my grocery shopping during my lunch break, but sometimes they are restocking the shelves in the middle of the day and there are pallets and all sorts of stuff blocking the isles. Why no restock in the middle of the night when little to no customers are around?

This is my local go to grocery store. Theyre open until 11pm and have most everything your looking for at good pricing. The deli dept is excellent, staff is friendly and their product is fresh and high quality, Along with everything else in the store. Come here for grocery needs and you will be satisfied.

The women at the Deli have no customer service very rude and do not even understand you when you ask for a product. NO SMILE AND A SNARL ON THERE FACES ETC ETC!! This was only today. Around 12:45pm. One of them was a manager she even ignored me when I first walked in the store and told her they were out of the handy wipes to wipe off the carts. Other days at the deli there is a wonderful woman there with a European accent. I was helped by a Philipino manager (woman) who was very nice and she got me the meat I had asked for, for the price I was told it would be.

This is our preferred Vons even though it is not the closest in distance to our home. The employees are much friendlier. The store is clean, the bathrooms are clean, the self check is wide and spacious and always has someone available to help. We love our Little Vons!!

I shop here because of the close proximity, but there seem to always be slim pickings. Typically pretty crowded and there are usually only 2 lanes open...one being the 15 items or less lane. The employees are great, though.

Very clean store & nicely organized. Ive been going here even since I was a kid. Their signature cafe food is really good! They have lots of good deals w/ the club card. Their pastries are delicious and so is their produce.

I went during the last 15 minutes of the store being opened. The night crew was working on stocking. They were all so kind and accommodating if I needed to move around what they were doing. I found the experience very welcoming in spite of them having importing tasks.

I recently came back to this location after they treated me very bad at the beginning of COVID. Im cautious when I have to come to this location. Thier employees were very verbally abusive. I really try to vote with my dollars. So, I only come here when I need one or two things, quick in and out. The Vons down the street is much more chill and welcoming.

I am so sorry, but I posted my review about the OTHER Vons store on El Norte on this page. I had a very bad experience there, but then visited THIS store that same day, looking for what the other store did not have. I had a good experience here, including a quick checkout. Also, the management of this location responded very quickly and thoughtfully to my misplaced complaint. Thank you so much! I will shop here again!

The management team at this location does a great job and takes pride in their store, and it shows. I have yet to ever see that store unkempt. Even when I go in late afternoon/early evening after its been shopped all day. Very clean and employees are friendly & helpful.

Its ok... since they were bought out, the employees seem far less thrilled and some of the bakery/pre-made items have gone downhill. The biggest problem I have with this location are the lines. There only ever seems to be 3-4 cashiers working at any time; youll wind up waiting in a line of 10+ people if you go during the peak time.Otherwise, their food is generally pretty consistent in quality, discounts arent too bad if you get the club card. Store is usually pretty clean but the bathrooms are hit and miss.

This Vons is always busy and no matter how busy it gets, they will never open more than 3 registers, despite having 8. On average there are 6 people in line and Ive see it as bad as 10. Plan to spend 10-15 minutes in line every visit. Even in the express lane. They also never have any baskets available and its up to you to go to each register to see if you can find some. The staff are always very nice, but there is a clear management problem if you usually choose to drive to a store further away just to avoid the chaos that is this store.

I like this Von’s. I have been to other Von’s stores where they only have like two registers open for 50 people. This Von’s is not so bad. It does get backed up and sometimes there is a wait even though they could open more registers, but not too bad. Most of the staff have been friendly and helpful. The store is always nice and clean. Produce usually looks clean and fresh. Not very many empty shelves. Parking is a bit annoying especially since they made electric car parking only spots.

Went on a Saturday on my way home from a work training. It looked like there werent that many cars parked out front but it was slightly crowded inside. The aisles are narrow, so its a little difficult to maintain social distance. They, unfortunately, do not carry the one item I went there for, an item sold at another Vons near me. Bummed that I have to make another trip. The self-checkout was nice and empty, but there were no bags. Luckily, I had some in my car. This is the third time Ive been to this Vons and its just a bad fit for me. Ill stick to my regular sites.

This location is oddly always out of things.When ordering online I’ve never placed an order and received all the items from my order (which show as in stock when placing the order).In the store itself there are common basic things in stock in other grocery stores like cheese and breads that they either don’t carry or have never had in stock every time I went there.It’s so strange.

Went at 9:30 pm to make my own food for dinner after class. Food was tainted with mold. No dinner tonight. Was not refunded full purchase of products not consumed though products were returned In full upon bodily rejection. I gave my receipt was upon return of the products as requested, even though the store manager was present for the return transaction, no receipt was given to reflect status of the returned items. I believe that I have just payed for a meal that I returned. Aren’t I the fool. Poor quality control=poor management=poor shopping experience. If you shop by the ad or use the app for personalized deals, it is a great deal. Other than that, you end up paying too much for other items which messes up your budget. Very good meat selection. Always fresh and stocked. Store is clean and mostly well stocked. You can usually find hard to find items. Overall a great store.

Always disappointed when I shop there. The deli counter is the worst. They are frequently out of hot soup, regular deli salads etc... The staff really puts off an air that they do not want to be there. Always saying be right with you, and you never see them again. The Manager told me he was new and trying to clean up old bad habits. So far, no change. I wish there was a closer alternative.

Surprisingly the number of the shoppers was the largest Ive seen this year. Shelves were empty on some aisles and they were out of many things people were shopping for. I was slightly disappointed that they were out of heavy cream. I will have to alter my Christmas dinner menu. Overall it was like a holiday party day where things were just flying off the shelves.

Western Union service was unavailable due personnel not trained to operate system. Was told to try other location. I was told by management it could be awhile until someone mans the station and they may not have enough to cover the $250. I was sent to pick up. There was no line however after waiting 45 minutes I received the full amount and the clerk was upbeat and friendly.

I like stopping by quick for a few staples like milk or eggs even though the prices are high. The store is always clean and well stocked. The clearance section sometimes has yummy baking products. If you’re lucky some veggies and meats are on sale at good prices. The shopping center has a gas station, Jack In The Box, nail salon, clothing store (with mostly streetwear), a daycare and a few other things. There’s even a Starbucks and a Wells Fargo. The Starbucks has new baristas who aren’t as quick or polite, same with the Wells Fargo. The other day I went to withdraw some cash and the teller didn’t know anything do I just left. Some cashiers are really nice and pleasant as are most baggers and other employees. One cashier rang me up and was terrible. I had a coupon and she said it couldn’t be used on the product (I didn’t mind) but she held up the line talking to the supervisor and the coupon ended up being ok. But shen I got home I realized she took out a pack of steak I was going to grill so that was just perfect. Some of these new employees need better training or something to make shopping there better.

Everytime I am in here I feel so welcomed. After tonight I felt that one employee in particular deserved an amazing review. Mike M! We had asked him if there was a certain item in the back that was missing on the shelf and he gladly went to the back to search for it. Keep in mind it is a Friday night and its late so after a while he found what we were looking for! I figured hey on a Friday night they would probably just lie and say they dont have it just to save themselves time because I worked retail and I know how that feels. It meant a lot to me that he took his time to search for the item and it really showed how well his customer service was. We greatly appreciate people like you! Hope you get a raise or something!

No evidence of any good covid-19 practices. Cards are not cleaned, no hand sanitizer available, aisles are crowded and not managed for maximum social distancing. They do have marks in place for checkouts but thats about it. oh and they offer paper bags but they dont have any with handles, which is really a cheesy thing. I would not go here unless I just had to.

First Id like to review The pros of Vons home deliveryIt truly was a lifesaver as I sustained a recent accident and was very im Mobile for 5 months I never had to pay a delivery charge I received a free delivery the first time and then was sent multiple free deliveries via emailAlso the delivery people are very courteous and helpful and have even helped unpack food and put it on my counterThe only drawback of the Home Delivery Service is if they are out of something they will substitutefor example if you order cans you might get bottles.However thats a small price to pay when you dont have access to a storeVons El Norte Plaza is convenient as far as accessibility but the food is not always freshfor example the dates on the meat are almost always within only a day or two of sell by datewhen it comes to Specialty Meats such as grass fed I have seen it displayed even past the sell-by dateAlso beware if you purchase meat that has been marked down, it will almost always ring Up full price at the registerOnce they had chicken on sale markdown with an extended shelf life however after I purchased it on three separate occasions each time it rang up full pricethe vegetables are not always fresh sometimes you get them home and they are spoiled underneath the top layerWhen it comes to staff Ive met 2 very friendly check out people the others were not friendlyIn fact youre lucky if they said helloThe night time manager acts like he doesnt want to be there never Smiles never greets anybody if he has to work at the register he acts like hes doing you a big favorAll that said, if youre in a pinch you will learn to adjust your way of shopping to avoid the described the pitfalls

I waited for more than 15mins for anyone to serve me at the deli at Vons El Norte Pkwy this evening around 8pm. One of their workers was washing pans and when & I tried to get her attention by saying, Hi, excuse me she blew me off. Then finally a guy came over & he asked if he could take my order & I said Yes. Finally because your co-worker hasnt even acknowledged me & Ive been here for almost 15mins. He said, Oh, ok. So do you know what you want? I told him, Yes, Id like 5pc baked chicken all dark meat & 1lb of potatoes wedges. He chose 1st 2 pieces right but then kept trying to give me breasts or wings. I guided him to correct pieces and he kept apologizing for not seeing the right pieces then finally had my order. I told him, No worries, looks like mostly white meat left but if you can find dark cool. He handed the bags over & as I was starting to walk away the girl who was originally too busy to help me then turned to him & had an exchange where they busted out laughing. Im not a paranoid person by any means but I was not about to be the butt of their joke. I took the bags & very calmly placed them back on the counter & said, Here, you can have these back because I dont trust either of you. And her comment in mid laugh was, What? OK. Whatever, Mam! I was not about to eat something from 2 individuals that clearly were treating me like I had irritated their closing ritual & they had to serve a customer! To add insult to injury...when I got to the register I realized Id forgotten cream cheese & accidently told them sour cream. When I told the cashier of my mistake she asked the bagger to go get it. When she told him sour cream & I told her, No, cream cheese. Im sorry. My mistake. She laughed at me and asked, Are you sure thats cream cheese, are you sure? Really? By this time I was humiliated & apologized & I think she knew it because she offered $5 off for my inconvenience. By this time the damage had been done & I was humiliated & pissed. The bagger came back with cream cheese (wrong kind) but by this time a line over 6 people now I just wanted to be done so I told him, Dont worry about it has nothing to do with him & that it was because of deli people rudeness. He laughed at that because I think he really thought it was a joke thanks to the cashier who was already making a joke about it. The bottom line is/was...IT WAS/IS NOT funny!!!!! Your rude people that work there at Vons treated me horribly!!! You people suck & I will NEVER shop there again! I hope others that see this will do the same! This is NOT the 1st time Ive experienced this behavior from this Vons location. I can assure you though its the LAST for me because I will NEVER shop at a Vons again!!

The so called Gourmet Pumpkin Pie was bland and tasteless and the crust was so hard I was tempted to use a steak knife just to cut thru it. I was embarrassed that I served this to my family at Thanksgiving. No one finished their piece of of pie or asked for seconds. It is still sitting in the fridge until I throw it out. I wish they would get a new manager. This store is closest to me so I would like to use it more. It is poorly stocked and the clerks are overly friendly so checking out takes way longer than shopping. THey always ask if I found everything OK. When I tell them they are out of 2 or 3 items that I was looking for, they say aw shucks... thats too bad, etc.

Ok its Vons...it all depends on what time if the day you shop there regarding how long it takes for you to check out, also just remember to check your expiration dates on all your deli stuff especially if its creamy and has any mayonnaise just saying enjoy.

Called all the vons in the area looking for German black bread from Dudleys, they all tried to help me and said vons gets fresh Dudleys bread every day, and all their stores do. I called this one to check for the German Black Bread and the lady in the bakery was very short with me and said I was mistaken and that they dont carry anything from Dudleys. I told her that the other store told me to check with them and that they thought that they did, she didnt go ask or check at all, she just tried to argue with me about it.
