Had a deal negotiated, went in and they tried to add extra charges that we had specifically talked about and said that I did not want. Wasted more than an hour of my time between going there, traffic and waiting around for the manager. Also had arranged a ride, and had to find my own ride back. My sales rep Grace was great, but the management at Audi/VW should take a look at how they treat their customers. Would not recommend the dealership to anyone if this is how they treat others.

VW Marin has done quality, guaranteed work on a series of my family’s vehicles whether the work was prepaid maintenance, free recalls/updates or out of pocket service. Service has been easy to schedule and completed in a timely fashion . Dealership service can be a bit more costly (hence my 4 out of 5 stars rating), but it is always completed in a highly professional manner (by all VW staff) and worry free.

I was referred to Grace Collins by an associate & that made all the difference. She made the buying process very pleasant & smooth, no endless haggling. Abraham was our sales person. He is a genuinely nice sincere and friendly guy. He was there to give us the info we needed and left us to talk amongst ourselves when we needed to talk. He took what we wanted to do to his manager and got it quickly approved. We went to financing, and Joshua helped us there. He was great, knew what he was doing and everything was explained and done right. These guy are nice, the dealership was a great selection and their used cars seem to be in much better shape than most other places. I recommend this place.

I just completed my 3rd lease deal with VW Marin and this go around was no small feat. Since leasing my last vehicle, I had moved out of the Bay Area to The Sacramento area, over 2 hours away. I was contemplating doing my new lease with a local dealership however Omar, at Marin had diligently checked in with me, made sure to listen to all of my needs, got me the most competitive price/deal (I know because I did the homework) and knowing how much of an inconvenience it was for me to travel to Marin, HE DELIVERED MY NEW CAR TO MY HOUSE. This was one of the best experiences I have had at a dealership. Every dealer wants your business and says they will work with you, until it comes down to number crunching. I worked with the sales manager Joel C, who called me as I was pulling into the dealer. He set me up with the sales consultant, Omar. Wow, talk about the most genuine, friendly staff ever. I spoke to several employees here and everyone was exceptionally friendly and checked in on me. When I got to the point of signing papers, the finance individual, Josh was the quickest finance person I have ever worked with. Under 15 minutes to sign away. I couldn’t believe it! I was hesitant about the 2.5 hour drive to Marin may end up in a waste of a trip, but I was proven wrong! I was extremely satisfied from beginning to end and cannnot say enough about the amazing staff at this dealership. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Marin VW for the great experience.

Worst new car experience imaginable. Avoid this dealership at all costs. My 2 week old 2023 ID.4 stranded my step daughter and grandkids on the 2 lane section of 101 with no shoulder at night. The electric car completely stopped working on the freeway. This could have been catastrophic given the traffic on 101 and the fact that we were barely able to get the car out of the lane (rear tire was in the lane of traffic). I had to call CHP to wait with me for the tow truck. This was one day after I had taken my new car in for service because it was having charging issues. Daniel my service advisor assured me that everything with the car was normal.Nonetheless I had the car towed to the dealership on 12/23. Scheduled a service appointment for 2 days later 12/26 at 7am as they were closed for Christmas. I call that morning and Daniel assures me again that they will look at the car and let me know later that day what they find. Day passes with no contact from Daniel or the dealership. I call next day asking for an update on my car and they are unable to give me one and state they they will call me and let me know later that day. It’s 7:45pm and I haven heart a word from anyone. 20K Service for my ID4. Waited while the car is being serviced. Promised wait time was 4 hours but the job was finished in 2 hours. Worked while at waiting room - good facility but if there are more outlets, it would be perfect. Dealer was also re-arranging the car displays so interesting to see cars moving around in the waiting area!

My car ended up needing a lot of work, but thats not why my rating is low. Overall I felt the level of customer service I received was poor and left a lot of room for improvement. I was without a vehicle for 8 weeks and only had a loaner vehicle for 3 weeks. The overall communication was lacking, and I felt overall my experience was not great.

I had a very positive experience from the time I called the sales department for an appointment to the time I drove my new leased VW ID.4 home a few days later. Easy guest parking in the garage. Very nice showroom. Everyone I came in contact with greeted me and was responsive and knowledgeable. I appreciated that my very helpful sales person drove a leased ID.4 and really understood and appreciated the car. He offered me future question and answer along with driving appointments to learn everything about the ID.4, my first electric car. The lease deal seems fair and was well presented with quick document follow-up.

UPDATE: The service manager called about 15 minutes after I posted this and looked to make things right. I appreciate his pro activity in reaching out and looking for a solution.I took my car to get service here, and have had nothing but problem with the service department. The first service for a recall, they kept my car 4 months until they “fixed” it. A new car. That I was paying for - sitting in their shop untouched. The issue was the windows rolling up when you pushed down - a known, published recall related to the airbags. They claimed they “couldn’t replicate” the issue, then claim it can’t be fixed. this issue has continued to happen for MONTHS after they claimed they did the recall work. I’ve showed them that it’s still happening and they just keep the car for a few days and then return it unfixed. The most recent service, they actually put a hole in my new tire and plugged it. Didn’t tell me. I lost tire pressure on the freeway (mind you these tires were brand new) and found a plug in the tire! What kind of unprofessional, improper business are they running here! Don’t take your car here, trust me. They have no competency or professionalism. Ridiculous - and I paid for a 9 year maintenance and warranty package. And the tire package. Guess that part was just to put holes in it and risk your family’s life.

I had absolutely the best experience with Emad and Omar from Volkswagen of Marin. I purchased a new 2024 Volkswagen Taos, and they made the transaction an absolute breeze. I purchased a used BMW from this dealership last year and would rate my experience as 2 out of 5 stars. While some staff members, like Emad in finance, were exceptional, others nearly made me walk away.Unfortunately, there were undisclosed issues with the car, such as a faulty moon roof that sounded like it was open while driving. When I contacted the dealership about it, they directed me to a repair shop, refusing to take responsibility.Additionally, the advertised concealed trunk storage was missing, and despite promises from the manager, it was never resolved, requiring me to purchase the trunk cover myself. Overall, a disappointing experience with purchasing a BMW from this dealership.

We went to VW Marin to look at a used Subaru that had been traded in. Our focus was on deciding whether it was what we were looking for or not. Manny was our contact and from the start he was pleasant and no-pressure. Things only got better when we decided to buy and he was easygoing and speeded the paperwork along to enable us to get on the road (we came down from the Eureka area). Joshua was the next person we dealt with who did the finalized paperwork. He made things clear and concise for us and got us on our way…but not before lighting up about my husband’s inquiry into the photo of his kids on his file cabinet. I had to return the vehicle due to a recall. I called multiple locations as I live in San Francisco and work in Redwood City. All of the locations were completely booked for 6-12 months and some were not even accepting any new appointments. I had to take my car to San Rafael. I marked my appointment 2 weeks out but then had to cancel due to transportation issues. When I tried to reschedule my appointment the next availability was 5 months out. After I dropped off the vehicle Ryan was very professional and kept me updated throughout the process. I was disappointed by the wait which was initially estimated to be 1 week and turned out to be 8 weeks

Doing the recall and software update was fine. Problem was no one there had the common courtesy to let me know that all of your fast chargers were broken. No one told me when I picked the car up, even though the paperwork said it was charged. And when I went back the next day to have you charge it, still no one told until after 1 1/2 hours of sitting around thinking it should be fully charged. When I went to leave, they finally admitted that the fast chargers weren’t working. You would think they would have told me that when I first took the car in. A complete waste of time on my part.

After reviewing the results with my husband and bringing the car to Costco Tires for a 2nd opinion, I learned:1. I was taken advantage of, over charged for a simple 50k evaluation $700, and2. The evaluation said all 4 tires were in the red and at least 2 needed to be replaced. Costco advised that 2 tires were at 60Percent, while the other 2 were 90percent. Costco also patched the tire with a nail. We bought the tires in May 2023 and should last more than 1 year.I will not return to VW.

Very cool showroom, especially the classic VW bus camper conversion on display.During the buying process, I dealt with Adel (salesman), Mo (sales manager), and Andy (finance). All 3 were professional and helpful. They did not try any high pressure tactics, and pricing information was presented in a straightforward manner with complete explanations when asked for. I negotiated over the phone for part of the deal, and I was able to reach Mo immediately every time I called. Adel called me the day after the purchase to help me set up phone-to-car connectivity in the VW app. I only dealt with Andy for a short period while completing the purchase, but he was easygoing and had some great advice for protection of the black paint and rims on the car.

Brought our car in to get serviced by the team. Had a leak in the moonroof which they said is normal for Tiguans (in case you were looking for a Tiguan with a moon roof). Daniel, the rep, told us it would be 1 to 3 weeks. They didnt provide a service car even though its in our contract (none available, understandable). The fix was covered under warranty. They held the car for 2.5 weeks. Daniel said he wouldnt rush his technicians therefore we assumed this meant that they were hard at work on our vehicle during this time. We came to realize after getting the car back they werent actually doing anything. We came to find out after getting home that the moonroof was more damaged than when we brought it in. It still leaks. Now they wont return our emails or calls...(3 calls, 1 voicemail, and 2 emails to be exact)

After having my ID 4 for four months I brought it to Marin VM service because water was accumulating underneath the floor mats of the front seats. The first time I noticed it I thought I spilled something. After drying the carpet for 3 or 4 days I put the mats back and forgot about it. Approximately one month later I noticed it again. My main complaint was I was NOT given a loaner. I lease the vehicle from VW finance. In short, I paid VW finance approximately $75 for a manufacturing problem and had no car for 7 days.After 7 days I was told that the service department could not find any problems. I discovered this problem when it did not rain for several months and I put the car in my garage every night. After 2 days I have not noticed any water under the mates. I will keep a close eye on it.

If I could give zero stars, I would!… my partner and I are in the market for a used car for his daughter. My partner found a Mini at this dealership that he was interested in purchasing. He called in the morning to verify that the car was available. The salesman verified that the car was available and he made an appointment to see the car at 1 pm.We dropped everything and headed toward the dealership. We drove almost 2 hours to get there. We made our appointment on time, we were there at 1 pm exactly. As we get out of our car, we see the mini pass us leaving the lot with 2 people inside the car.We went up to the front desk and ask for the sales person with whom we had made the appointment (Scott). We told Scott that we are here for the appointment to see the car, but we just say it leave the lot. We asked Scott what was going on?Scott called the sales manager (Mo) over. We discussed the situation and Mo pretended to know nothing about what was going on. He said that he didn’t know who was in the car. So, we just waited for almost an hour for the car to come back. Scott even repeatedly called the other salesperson to see what was going on. She wouldn’t answer the phone.They came back with the car about an hour later. The sales lady walked in the dealership giving the thumbs up to Mo. The guy buying the car walked up to Mo and was giving him fist bumps and thanking him.They had called the guy and let him know that we were coming in so he could beat us to the car. They knew we were coming and didn’t call us to let us know they had contacted to move his appointment up. And after we got there, Mo looked us in face and lied. Mo acted like he knew nothing about the guy coming in. He even tried to deflect the situation back on Scott. Mo is obviously sleazier than your average car salesperson. Not only were we lied to and had our afternoon completely wasted, but Mo and the sales lady unprofessionally boasted in our face how they screwed us over.What Mo didn’t know was my partner was in the market for a new A5. It ended up being overnight - which was quite inconvenient. 2) pricing was quite difficult. The main manager (Christi) shared a quote that was $1100 minimum for the annual service of my Atlas. It turned out to be half of that - but felt she was quite condescending when I inquired why regular service cost so much and what other options were available.

I just bought a beautiful ID.4 from VW Marin and was very impressed with their customer service. They were very professional and very accommodating. Robert was our sales guy and he was thoughtful and helped to pick out a car with all the features I needed and wanted to make driving fun! He was very knowledgeable and showed me how to use the electric car, which for me was very new as I had never driven one before. He took lots of time to show me how to set up the car and how to work all the features. Joel the sales manager was also great! Even Victor in finance was helpful. It was quick and easy to make the appointment. I had mentioned to service manager taking care of my maintenance that I was also having issues with a sensor continuing to go off (extremely jarring when youre driving) and that I needed it checked. He said that it was a much longer diagnostic then was scheduled with my 20,000 mile service....6+ hours or several days. They didnt have a loaner car for me to use, so he said that I could wait all day at the dealership or bring my vehicle back another day (I live 1 hour away). When the 20,000 mile service was finished, he made no effort to reschedule or check with me on when I could bring the car back and has not followed up on this. The sensor continues to go off constantly when I drive. Pretty disappointing and apathetic service from VW this time around. I drive an hour to come to this dealership and show loyalty and it doesnt seem to matter. I was concerned about excessive use of oil for a new car and that was also brushed off as a non issue.

Due to scarcity and market that shifted considerably into the seller’s favor, I cannot say buying a car in 2023 is the most enjoyable experience. My partner and I went to many dealerships with dealers politely treating us like spending 10s of thousands of dollars was a favor to us. However, Volkswagen / Audi Marin, and more specifically our dealer, Abraham, was great. He listened and respected our needs and wants. I never felt pushed. He walked us through the process but allowed us to make our own decision. He also made sure that while all the papers were being signed that the car was given to me detailed and the tank topped off. A gesture I greatly appreciated.
