Do not use this company. I have a small business that used VRC for several years and several months ago terminated our service. The company continued to invoice us for months, ignored our dispute of the invoices, and generally carried on regardless. We have invested way too much time communicating with them to clear this up. Unfortunately this has the smell of it being their standard business practice vs. a one-off error. Steer clear.

They are not a local company.VRC took over Data Safe and my rates basically doubled in 2 years.Even though they promised to keep our boxes locally, they moved my storage boxes without my permission and without notifying me - to an hour away from my office. Instead of being able to drive 5 minutes to drop in and review my boxes, now I have to pay a courier to bring them to me.Im a small business and even though I only have a small number of boxes, I have to pay a minimum each month which is equivalent to having 200+ boxes in storage.They have never notified their South San Francisco customers that their boxes are now in Fairfield, Vacaville, or Newark.I like working with local businesses who care about their customers, not a big business who treats you like a number and only cares about the bottom line.

Beware: The positive reviews below are from BEFORE Datasafe was acquired by VRC.We’ve been in business for 20 years, and VRC is by far the worst vendor we have ever encountered. When VRC acquired Datasafe, they broke their own billing system and didn’t charge us for an entire year, without notifying us of any problem (we had automatic payments set up). Then when the problem was identified they tried to charge us late fees…. And said they had DOUBLED their rates. When we pointed out the contractual requirement to notify us of proposed rate increases, they suddenly discovered a record saying they had sent us a letter about it, which they certainly didnt. Then when we decided to close our account, they gave us a huge runaround, up to and including cashing our final check and then saying they didn’t receive it — putting the onus on us to investigate and prove they had our money. Jessica Sawyer, our so-called account rep, kept saying that her hands were tied ever since the acquisition and she couldn’t do anything. All in all, they show every symptom of carelessly managed company with zero integrity. An absolute disaster.

Terrible customer service. They never pick up their phones and nobody every replies to any issues. Dont use them if you dont have to.
