Nice brunch place! Food is delicious, great service, cool design. Got the veggie omelette with fruit and breakfast potatoes -very tasty! A little pricey (average ~$20/person) but portions are a good size. Servers very friendly and helpful. They have indoor dining and a patio covered by umbrellas with a couple fans too.

This place has great breakfast! Discovered it after a local car show came with a few friends and my family. Smaller place but service and food were great! I would highly recommend the chicken fried steak probably one of the best I have had in a long time. I almost forgot the photo and started diggin in it smelt so good.

I ordered the Best Bacon Benny with loaded potatoes, which was a fantastic twist on traditional eggs benedict. The bacon and mushrooms were delicious, and the loaded potatoes were phenomenal!Limited seating and good food lead to some fairly long wait times on the weekends, so it would be best to plan accordingly.

Has been a great breakfast location for Chino hills. Added variety to the existing chains of breakfast diners in both decor and taste. Food was great. Service was attentive.Tip: Their omelette is on a bit more charred side so ask for it to be cooked lightly or less burnt.

Today’s update;Always a delicious breakfast spot and a fabulous addition to Chino Hills.We called ahead and I’m glad we did since there was over an hour wait and then we departed for our arrival just in time for our table to be ready. I highly recommend waiting at home, especially during the summer heat.Last time; Great place to dine with yummy special breakfast items. Definitely worth waiting for..We’re going back for brunch and I plan to order the pumpkin pancakes.Check it out ~ Chip loves all the attention too!

The restaurant was great.. this is our third time there.. but today was different.. the staff was a little off.. a little rude when taking our name for the waiting list.. but I let it go until the food came.. quality has dropped significantly since we were here in January.. and here I am a little over 13 hours later physically sick from the food.. I got the banana pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage.. eggs were cold.. sausage was not fully cooked and the pancakes were so overly hot it burned the top of my mouth.. I asked for new eggs and they made some fresh but didn’t say anything about the rest.. I wish I had.. I wish I would have told them how bad it all was.. the pancakes were crumbling I couldn’t get a bite on the fork.. they just seemed old and way overcooked.. man.. I really liked this place.. hubby and I were making it a tradition for special occasions.. but today was our last time there.. never again..

I had the Bomb breakfast burrito as well as the French toast. The bomb breakfast burrito was very good it came with a side of potatoes. The burrito itself was a sold 7.5/10 good flavor recommend putting a little salsa on it. The potatoes were a 5/10 not much flavor but had a very nice crunch to it (probably better to get Hash browns). The French toast on the other hand was a little disappointing, it looked beautiful but it wasn’t that good. I would give it a 6/10. Overall the experience was very good and I enjoyed it and I would recommend checking it out if you haven’t.

Violet Rooster...If youre into nostalgia, decor, eclectic artwork, and tons of Freda Kahlo(ish) overtones then this is your spot. Expect a long wait to be seated followed by a side of wait to order. That said, perhaps it is luck of the draw, so take it with a grain of salt.Cant dispute the esthetic and visual appeal of the food...looks amazing, but the proof is always in the pudding.As for me, I was underwhelmed. Perhaps it just wasnt my pallete but savory good tasting food is easy to identify...I was lost in the sauce (pun intended).I ordered a country fried steak which, as any enthusiast knows, is ALL about the gravy. Mine was M.IA. and no, not the song.Coffee was ok. Mug was cool. First impressions are everything and we are totally impressed! These guys want business and know how to keep it! Right when we got there, we saw a cameraman taking pictures and videos, very impressive. We were greeted and seated right away. The decor says they are a fun place for vacationers of all ages -- an attraction in itself. The music has a good beat and was not too loud but loud enough to enjoy. The service was better than any we have had in a long time. They checked on us regularly, but didnt go overboard, were friendly and suitably engaging, even funny. And the food was excellent. Kaitys Carnitas Benedict was cooked and seasoned just right. The chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy and chocolaty without being tough. The eggs were a perfect over medium and the ham delicious, without gristle or fat. And portions are large! GREAT food, GREAT experience! Thanks, guys! Youve got my vote!

Violet Rooster is a great hidden gem for brunch in Chino Hills. I visited for the first time a couple weekends ago. We were able to add ourselves to the waitlist ahead of time as it was a 60 min wait on a Sunday morning.When we got there, we saw everyone crowded outside waiting to get seated and we were quickly brought to our table, as we were next on the list. The first thing you notice is how well-decorated this spot is. Its very vibrant and full of life inside the restaurant.We ordered 2 dishes - the Chorizo Benedict ($17.79) and the Chilaquiles ($16.79) along with a Bloody Mary ($9.99). Let me just say that these servings are monstrous. We ended up taking home more than half of each dish, which is fine but wow... HUGE portions. We enjoyed the Benedict a little bit more than the Chilaquiles.If youre hungry in the morning, this is a great place to try out! Ill definitely be back and will look to try their pancakes or omelettes next. The tables next to us looked like they were really enjoying those (equally) gargantuan plates.

Was a bit confused at first because the vibe is very new Orleans, carnival but the food is American/Mexican. They are obviously busy and pushing to get food out quickly which resulted in my hubbys omelette being burnt around the edges and the eggs were overcooked, my tots were missing the eggs completely and when they came they were under.However, the service was impeccable. Everyone was helping, they fixed any issue immediately and politely, and the atmosphere made it a fun experience. Would definitely give this place another try.My one note is that the hot chocolate is an overpriced novelty: it comes from a packet. For something that is made such a big deal, you could just make this at home pretty easily. Very Instagram able though!Has lots of gluten friendly options!

Heard great things from friends about this place and visited it for breakfast. Had the Ultimate Bacon Benedict with a side of biscuits and gravy. The food was great. I asked for extra hollandaise to go with it. The only thing I was not a huge fan of was the biscuit. I prefer mine to be light and fluffy, and theirs are pretty dense.

Visited for the first time with three friends on a Friday morning in late April 2021. Surprisingly, there was a wait (45 minutes) for an outside table. At about the 45 minute mark, the hostess offered us a choice -- An indoor table or another 45 minute wait -- And then she laughed. We were perplexed and a bit frustrated by her laughing. We opted for the indoor table; there was only 2 other small tables occupied. She did give us menus as we were seated, but didnt see her again for nearly 20 minutes -- No drink order, no utensils -- No contact. One of us did go to the front asking for table service after waiting 15 minutes. Our drink order arrived timely, but the sugar substitute requested never came. Food followed shortly after; it was plentiful and tasty. The indoor part of the restaurant is colorful, has eclectic decor, and noisy!!! So noisy, that it was difficult to have a conversation and catch up with friends.

The Violet Rooster never disappoints. Make sure to put your name on the wait list before you get there because everyone else wants to eat there too. The service is always excellent, and the food... whatever you order is always perfect. Ive tried about half the menu and everything I have eaten is always delicious, and portions that are so large that you have to take some home. But thats only part of the experience, because the artwork and decorations add to an amazing atmosphere for dining.

I suggest yelp to put in for your reservation time, the wait was an hour on Saturday, which is normal for most cafes on the weekend. The staff is friendly, and although there was a wait for my meal to arrive, it was worth the wait. I was given a gift card and wanted to try something different. I tried their Zweifel, strangest thing Ive ever eaten but oddly delicious. Clean, cute, facility, pleasant experience. Win,win!

Food is delicious and the service and atmosphere are great, here are some things I think could have been improved on this visit. Servers checking for refills, the last two times I have been here it is hard to get a hold of staff during the meal. Before is great, checking out is great. But sometimes clients need refills or salsa or other random things during the meal and I find it hard to get hold of someone.

This place is really fun! The decor inside ranges from Star Wars to Farmyard art. There are black lights and string lights throughout. If youre looking for a serene, quiet meal, you may want to look elsewhere. The music is fun, and can be heard both inside and while dining on the patio. To be honest, the only thing that was decently good was the French toast, but its blan. The eggs didnt even look like eggs, didnt taste good either. The steak was hard and chewy also blan. It was such an unfortunate experience. To start, we arrived and were seated quickly which was the highlight of our entire breakfast.Once seated, we waited for what seemed like quite a bit of time just for drinks. Could have been about 15 minutes.From that point, we ordered and it was downhill from here. We were absolutely ignored the entire time we were there, I got the waiters attention after we sat with empty water and a first round of drinks for almost the entire meal. He saw us and even walked over and before getting to the table, put his finger up as if for us to hold on, left for about 10 more minutes to assist other tables and eventually sent a different server to us.I am not exaggerating, we counted 3 different times he walked up to about 2 feet from our table, made a face like he forgot something and as we looked up to speak with him, he would turn away and assist other seated guests.The service was so bad that at the end of the meal, he came over and just put the check on the table and walked away without saying a word.The only time he spoke to us besides ordering our food was when he said he could close our tab at the table.We had the idea to ask him directly before leaving if there was an issue with our table that we werent aware of but ultimately thought that the service spoke volumes and it was beyond any conversation at that point. We politely just closed out our tab and left.This was our first AND last time at this location. Food was actually good and its so unfortunate that our poor service outweighed it all...

The implication of the name is there. However, NOT in a bad way. Its close seating, not bad, just close. The menu is varied, eclectic and really funny if you take the time to read it. Food is good, service is good and comfortable not rushed nor neglecting. 1st time we got there, we arrived 20 minutes prior to close, and the staff was friendly courteous and didnt make us feel rushed while we ate. They actually stayed past closing until we finished and everybody was still smiling at us. That in itself was impressive. Tacos are good, beans however, lacked attention, like they were just out of a can. Omelettes, along with the potatoes are impressive. All in all we would recommend this place. Psst. This place is all the way nasty. The service is horrible. First, they serve whipped eggs with sparkling water according to the owner. None of the food is seasoned and the french toast is just old bread with cinnamon sprinkled on top. If you are a person who don’t like seasoning or of the urban culture…don’t waste your time. I should have known better when I saw who was eating here. It was a joke. The owner said they mix all this stuff in these eggs. I asked her twice to just give me real eggs with no whipping or adding of anything. She still came out with those fake eggs. We hated this place. Wish I can take my 1 star back. A good place for breakfast and brunch. The food wasnt the best but its pretty good. I just had the regular breakfast: eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuits and gravy. So out of what I ate, the only thing that makes a difference is the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are pretty big and filling. The gravy was ok, wished it had more sausage or flavoring as what stood out was the garnish on the gravy, not the gravy itself. Out of everything I would still recommend this place.

First time trying this spot and I am so happy I did. Cute patio seating, weather was nice and their bloody Marys hit the spot!! I wanted to try their eggs Benedict and couldnt decide, luckily they have On the fence benny where u can choose 2 kinds. I was so overwhelmed with goodness and flavor once I tried them. I cant remember the names correctly but one was a Rigo benny I believe with the chipotle hollandaise and the other one was loaded with delicious bacon and mushrooms. To start with a positive, the food was excellent, the first bite made me hungrier for the next. Unfortunately the inattentive workers and the lack of order between the servers really drags the place down. My party had a front row seat to the misfortune of the fridge breaking down, and our unfortunate server having to fix and clean it by themselves. In the meantime no one took their place waiting on tables, so I was left to flag down waiters for 30 minutes, each one repeating the haunting phrase Let me just go find your waiter... I was only able to get my refill of water as the rest of my party was ready to go, but thankfully we almost paid a $130 bill for someone elses table giving me enough time to chug my water down as they went back for our real bill. I have to mention while I was flaging down waiters I stared at two waiters enjoying their time behind the counter sipping on drinks and laughing away. I had high hopes for this place after a couple friends recommended it. I ordered online and got the Loaded Avocado Toast at $14.99 and wanted fruit for my side so that was an additional $1.79. My coffee was also luke warm. They also forgot to bring me the sour cream, salsa, and jalapenos that came with the dish.My husband ordered the Bobby Flay omelet. This dish had a great flavor. Instead of potatoes he got a side of fruit (additional charge).Overall my experience was just Ok.I always try to support local businesses but unfortunately we will not be returning.

First time there. It was a Sunday after church. The food was delicious, mimosa was great, and the services were excellent. The only advice is to definitely join the wait list on Yelp. I only waited 15 minutes but would be 60 minutes if I didnt join the wait list. I will be back next week!!

Tends to get busy around brunch on Sundays but the wait is worth it. The mimosas are really good, not watered down at all. The food was bomb! The Tracy forgot the name but the signature omelette was great! Lots of bacon and mushrooms. They even come with bottomless bread! Wheat, Rye, and Sourdough.

The menu is large, and the food is in charge! Been here a number of times and it is consistently great food and great service. Many omelet options, many Benedict’s - but if you are a lunch person... get the burger and garlic fries, or the crab melt. Some of the best burgers / sandwiches in the IE. 1st time here, the portions were healthy! The food was delicious, one plate was chicken fried steak with eggs and a fruit salad. Another was a triple decker pastrami sandwich with garlic fries and the last place was poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, mushrooms with crumbled bacon and potatoes. Place was a banger. I worked on the dairy back in the day that it was built on. Been in texas for a minute and just got back. Waaay better morning breakfast. First and foremost, everything on their menu slams. I made my own omellete and the homeboy got the Chipotle Benedict. Plus the walnut banana pancakes which were amazing. Drinks are good. I liked the greyhound. Pretty much the only issue is the wait to get seated and maybe the food. It is slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for. Worth it.

Review is based off large party (9). Initially told 30 min wait. Ended up 90. Understand it was busy so just work on estimates and they can improve. Was provided menu and drinks within first 10 minutes but then waited another 20 for them to take order. Of course you see whats coming next. Food took another 48 minutes to come out and yup...cold eggs - Yum!If you like waiting and food half as good as Flos for twice the price, then this is the place for you.

The service was lacking big time. The waitress was very short and always seemed like she was rushing us when we would talk to her. The food was lacking as well. I had the burrito with bacon, there was like two bits of bacon in there and hardly any avocado, the roasted potatoes were just seasoned with fresh parsley nothing special and not worth 15 bucks. My hubby got one of the eggs Benedict also underwhelming and under seasoned especially the hollindase absolutely no flavor. My dad got the conners burger, and he was unimpressed. My mom had the French toast but these by far are the worst French toast Ive ever had. The bread was dry and had no cinnamon flavor. They were stuffed with cream cheese but really it was a light smear and were just gross. Overall bad food and service. Hurt to see a final bill of $83.

Came here for brunch this morning and saw that they were pretty busy via their Yelp waitlist system. But went ahead and put ourselves onto the list before we left the house with 20 parties ahead of us. Squeeze In is located in the new plaza of Soquel Canyon next to Nektar and Starbucks as well as other places like 7 Leaves across the street.There was ample parking (albeit the closer ones were all full) and we saw plenty of people already dining in and some waiting outside. We checked in with the hostess and only waited about 5-7 minutes before a table was ready for us (they were busy, but table turnaround was definitely fast).I ordered a shis super food scramble that was an egg white vegetable scramble filled with tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, red bell peppers and zucchini with a side of fruits (pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries and orange slice). I also ordered a half order of their spuds (in case I wasnt full) while the bf ordered their Epic Eric breakfast burrito with a side of spuds as well. The wait was kind of long for the food to come, but I ended up passing time on my phone.I definitely appreciated that the scramble was very healthy, but it lacked a lot of flavor and could use a little bit of salt. The dish was very bland because the vegetables wasnt seasoned with anything it seems. Usually other places will use onions so that when it cooks, it gets caramelized and adds a nice sweet savoriness to the scramble/omelette. The spuds side dish, didnt really help in flavor either, it also lacked a lot of flavor and the salt wasnt consistent-- Some were salty, some were plain.Our waitress and the waiter that served us was very friendly and attentive, made sure we got all our food and checked up on us enough that it wasnt annoying. The food overall is eatable, just need some work on the flavoring!

Connor, our waiter, was unbelievably unsanitary. This place seems to take absolutely NO precautions for COVID 19. The waiters wear no masks. Connor was touching all the food, menus and our IDs without gloves and was never seen washing his hands even once. He touched all the toast that was going out for to-go orders with his bare hands! If you think youre safe ordering pickup from this place then think again because this food is not clean. On top of all of this, I must say the food was watery and just not very good quality.

I called and informed them they were missing was going to head back to grab them but the manager was vary dismissive and just stated ill refund them. I just said ok and o well. Well he only refunded one item so with how he spoke to me and how the situation was handled i will not return to this place and i cant recommend it although the food was good.

We, a party of four, told it’s an hour wait and that they would text us when the table was ready, it was busy so we were fine with it. 40 minutes later we asked where we were in the cue, they said we were second in line. Let me start with the service is awful!!! If you are hungry and thinking you’ll be served quickly; well that’s not gonna happen! At least that didn’t happen to us...so when my food arrived and it was COLD, it made sense because obviously if my server didn’t pick it up, it got cold! So I tell our server about my cold food and her question to me was:, “Well, is it all cold?’ Would it matter? Don’t you order a meal that you can eat all together? And shouldn’t it be hot? I was served my toast, which I ate with my fruit until a new plate arrived....when the new plate arrived, eggs were hot but sausage was luke warm...I was starving so I just ate it! So while we were waiting, the table next us was accidentally served an additional drink...the server literally asked the man after she realized she served him a drink he didn’t order, “ Did you drink any of this?” He said -no. She grabbed the drink and I will presume, served it to the person that ordered it...Ummm...is that legal? That same couple waited so long for their food, they just asked for it to go. So I ordered the ‘skinny redneck’ and my husband ordered huevos Montana and w/ 2 coffees ended up being a total of almost $40- Yes, for cold food! Egg whites!!! I will say that the coffee was hot and tasty, but that was being served by other staff; not our server....throughout our time there I saw people repeatedly getting up to ask for things like water, ice etc...service is horrible. I’m giving it 2 stars for the coffee and the other staff, but thinking even that might be to generous! Btw- also heard our server tell a couple, “yeah, its a little slower on Fridays because it’s busy’...really?...then make sure ur prepared right? I’d like to say I’d give it another go because the pancakes did look yummy but that’s certainly a big maybe!!!
