We recently planned a stay at Vintners Resort in Santa Rosa, CA, for my wifes birthday. This was our first time in California and our first visit to a winery, so we were incredibly excited. However, our experience turned out to be a significant disappointment.Upon our late arrival from San Francisco, we were greeted with a series of unfortunate events. The chocolate strawberries we had ordered were left sitting in our room for hours, losing their freshness. The room itself was not in the best condition, emitting a strong, moldy smell. The ottoman at the end of the bed was peeling leather, there was a hole in the wall near the door, and the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom was equally problematic, with exposed wires near the fire sprinkler system and signs of black mold in the shower.Adding to our frustration, the in-room phone didn’t work, making it impossible to call the front desk. We could not use our cell phones to call the main hotel line either, so we had to walk back up to the front desk. When we returned to the front desk, the very nice lady there apologized and tried to move us to another room, but it had the same issues.Unable to bear the conditions, we made the difficult decision to not stay the night and embarked on a search for another hotel, which added another 45 minutes to our already long day. The stark difference between the rooms actual condition and its advertised state, coupled with the high price we were expected to pay, left us deeply upset.We were told that someone from management would call us the next morning, but we never received that call. After two days without any follow-up, my wife called back to confirm the charges and inform management of our experience.

Absolutely beautiful property with clean rooms and friendly service. They comped us a crib since we brought our son which was very nice. I was also impressed that they called us after I emailed a question.The location is really great. Its right off the freeway but its set far enough from the road that it is quiet and peaceful. We felt like we were far away.Star off for the room service food. The quality did not match what we got. Also we attempted to call the front desk a few times and 4/5 times there was no answer. The room was very clean and absolutely gorgeous. With the premium cost of the room and the resort fee I wish it included breakfast. It also wouldve been nice if they had commemorated my anniversary in some way.You can tell they put a lot of thought into the entire space. Large bathtub, recess lighting, fireplace, etcOtherwise I highly recommend and we plan to return!

Do not stay at this place. Of course they don’t advertise this, but the pool is under construction and none of the amenities they mention on the website are offered to hotel guests. The alternative they give you is a “resort pass” to use the pool at the Hampton Inn or The Sandman. If I wanted to stay at the Hampton Inn or Sandman, I would’ve booked a room there. Zero class.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend and it was absolutely lovely! The pool is under construction and we were not made aware until check in, but they more than made up for it for us. The grounds are stunning, the rooms are huge and gorgeous! Can’t wait to stay here again and see the pool after construction. Special shout out to Robert the manager, Christian, and the night manager who took incredible care of us. Thank you again!

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary. Were mildly concerned about the proximity to 101, but the doors and windows keep out the sound so we only noticed the sound when we were outside. When we arrived there was a hand written note welcoming us and congratulating us on our anniversary - nice personal touch. Very comfortable room and the staff access via text was very convenient. If you stay we highly recommend getting a room with the Roman tub - it was exquisite. We plan to be back again.

I purchased a gift certificate the Christmas before last for my sister to use at the spa. She booked, had a lovely massage, and when she went to use the gift certificate, the young man refused it. He said it was no longer in their system and that she’d have to pay with her card and just call the company that ISSUES the certificates. She called and they said the business should’ve taken it. She’s left at least three messages and not one person has returned her call. For a seemingly upscale establishment, we have experienced more of a seedy motel off a freeway vibe. Buyer beware.

We booked through a third party and although we got placed in an ADA room and the pool was undergoing maintenance, we appreciated the hospitality. That said, they had a caldarium that was available for use, which was pretty cool!They offered to also waive the resort fees due to the pool closure and were able to obtain a resort pass for my partner and I to get access to an alternative facility, which was very kind.I would consider staying here again conditional on the pool being open and available for use.

We stayed here for just under a week, I feel like I got a good feel of the place.The rooms are great. Beds are pillowy soft and cool. Im a snob after getting my Casper mattress, these beds are so comfortable. It has a jetted tub and gorgeous views of the insanely beautiful landscaping from every window and each room has a little balcony.The room service for was good, but the trick is to get the breakfast, the dinner wasnt worth the price. The beignets were something my family will never forget, absolutely delicious. We talked about them every day. French toast was some of the best Ive ever had. I had the best drink Ive ever had in my life at the front room (a bar on site).Housekeeping was on top of things! They come by 2x a day and are so nice and friendly.The entire staff really treats you like royalty. So kind, we got in really late and needed milk for our baby. The front desk went to great lengths to get us some milk; so appreciated.The location is great. We were able to go to San Francisco, Bodega Bay, Sonoma, Napa, Goat Rock Beach and the redwoods all within an hour of Vintners.The only downside is we didnt know the pool was going to be under construction while we were there. We wish we had known before we booked. From what I understand they are putting in a full resort style pool with a bar and cabanas.Wonderful stay, wonderful people, wonderful place. We will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 nights at the resort and I cant say enough good things about it. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, peaceful - I could go on and on. Highly recommend and we would stay again. I want to single out the Concierge Maria, who went above and beyond to set up wine tastings for us - incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. Im just sorry that we never got to meet in person.

This was our second stay and unfortunately the experience was worse than the first time:.On the plus side:-The rooms in the two new buildings 8 and 9 were large and very comfortable.-While the room we had booked claimed a vineyard view, only the rooms on the second floor actually have a view as many rooms on the ground floor units face a mound and have low visibilty and sun exposure.-Parking was right next to the building which was convenient.On the negative side;-This is far from a resort experience. The pool was under construction and even during our prior visit was very small,unheated and in did not even have a jacuzzi.-Dining amenities are non-existent early in the week when the attached restaurant is closed.-Breakfast service was minimal and expensive.-Way too much space is occupied by parking downgrading the overall feel of being near vineyards. Only a few rooms actually have a view over vineyards.The proerty is right next to the highway and the noise in the morning iduring rush hour s annoying.Overall, the experience was very disappointing, especially since we were charged a Resort Fee while property was under construction, which was never mentioned during booking even though we called the property directly. If you stay here make sure to request a room in one of the new buildings. The pool area is under construction and wont be ready for months. Does not look at all like the pictures on the web site.This is a work in progress and needs major improvements to claim to be a resort destination. Currently, it is not worth the price.

We went for our anniversary The ad is misleading no pool its being remodel you only learn that after you get there ..bathroom was dated I had to Step in and over into the shower.. every time I went by the spa it was closed ...oh yeah they give you a voucher to swim at another hotel...if thats the case I would have booked there..they did have a charger for the car..its close to the airport the only good thing...needless to say they made no effort to even upgrade to a different room after finding about the pool .... This is not a resort its very misleading there are no resorts qualities...

I think with the price I paid, I’d rather gone somewhere else like Kenwood Inn & Spa with the pool under construction at Vintner. The hotel is nice, but there’s no happy hour during weekdays, no pool to relax, we tried John Ash on site, the cocktail was terrible. I see there’s the price reduction on the website now. But I wish I was informed about these before I choose the stay.

A three star hotel at five star prices. While the grounds are beautiful and the staff attentive, this hotel is right off 101, with constant freeway roaring by, making it impossible to enjoy the scenery or be outdoors at all.Rooms are cheaply appointed. Fireplaces are electric. Chairs are too uncomfortable to sit in. No streaming television. No Alexa. Bathrooms are weirdly huge. It has a motel feel.Vintners markets itself as a resort and spa, however, yoga classes are one hour a week, there is no yoga space. Spa services are very pricey, and the spa itself is tiny and not inviting. There is the typical hotel gym.The worst part are the fees and taxes, which end up adding $100 to the listed price PER NIGHT. Buyer beware.

I received a gift certificate from my sister at the Vita Spa and enjoyed a lovely massage with Anna. She was the best part of this experience. When I checked out, end of the afternoon, I gave my gift certificate to the young man, who said the system wouldnt take it and theyd charge my card on file. But, tomorrow, when the spa manager arrived, she would refund my card and use the gift certificate for the massage.It is now 2 weeks later, Ive called the spa on three occasions, have left 3 voice messages, and Ive spoken with someone who assured me the spa manager would call me back (that was a week ago). Several days later, no return call or refund, so I contacted my bank to dispute the transaction and they are now dealing with it. In the meantime, I contacted the hotel directly and left a message for the hotel manager to return my call--nothing.I havent experienced such terrible customer service in a long time. And, as a local, a small business owner, and someone who would have enjoyed bringing my staff there for a spa day, Im thoroughly disappointed and appalled.

The Front Desk Staff...lied and cheated me out of the rate that I was quoted checking in. At check out, I was told I would receive the credit on my credit card, but it never came. They wouldnt give me a printout of the adjusted rate to the check in approved rate but said that would have to come from the bookkeeper and they were not in at the time, but not to worry and wrote a note with the difference in the two rates and gave it to me with the credit total on it. This credit never came, I called the hotel four different times, spoke with the manager several of those times, with promises that I would hear back from them before the days end, but never anything! I then disputed it with my American Express Platinum Card that I used to check in with and they lied to them that there was no such case and refused the credit amount. If anyone wants to follow up on this, please do, and I would change my recommendations here as I have stayed there for over 20 years whenever in the Santa Rosa area, but now, without a reconciled arrangement, I just cant trust the staff or resorts policies and follow up as promised.Added 3/4/2024I am happy to add here that according to the response by the owner of this fine establishment that all these problems have been worked out. They were fair and equitable when their understanding due to the fact that new staff were not familiar with their normal processes of bookings. Thank you, Vintners Resort, and specifically Jeff, the manager who was able to represent this resort and keep me as a regular customer. Ive changed my star rating on everything accordingly and look forward to my next day there.

Currently staying on the property with a friend who booked a 2-night stay to ring in the New Year. The property deserves high stars, as it is beautiful and peaceful and their suite rooms are nice. However, the hospitality displayed this weekend has been disappointing. Had I not read previous reviews with similar comments, I would have thought we were being especially targeted. From the moment we checked in, there was no warm welcome. The process was very brief, and we were not provided with any information about the property, what the resort fees included, nor what events would be offered to guests during this time. Moreover, attempts to engage the staff fell flat as it felt as you were bothersome to them to inquire about what things could be done on property. I have stayed at many different properties in Sonoma, and came excited from recommendations, to come here. Sadly, this has been more than disappointing and has really put a bummer on what we had been looking forward to and excited about bringing in the new year, and I cannot confidently or in good faith recommend this to anyone else.

A disappointing experience overall. For these prices, with this marketing, youre expecting a real luxury experience. This just isnt that. Bathroom fixtures missing pieces. Few staff and virtually no amenities.The grounds are lovely and maintained beautifully. The vineyard is delightful to walk around. As others have mentioned, though, nothing is included, and even once you pay, the quality of the amenities is lacking. The restaurants on site were mediocre and overpriced. The spa is an added charge, which makes sense, but the plunge pool is 3 ft deep and was not heated in the evenings (we stayed in December). The indoor pool is somehow not included in the (mandatory) $45 resort fee.Even something tiny - the resort advertises umbrellas you can use. We found one umbrella in our room and went to the front desk to ask about borrowing a second one, since it was actively raining. They couldnt find one. To the clerks credit, she made some effort to look - but when 80% of the resort is empty, a call to housekeeping would have been trivial to grab a second one from a different room.Which was sort of the whole experience of staying here. Everyone was very nice, but very little effort was made to live up to the hype or the price. We effectively got a $150 hotel room and $250 worth of pomp and gardening.

We hosted our wedding at Vintners and it was everything we wanted. The bridal suite was so beautiful with upgraded amenities. The vineyards views were stunning. We hosted our cocktail hour “in the vine” area and the sunset was everything I dreamed of! The leaves on the building were also turning red and it gave the beautiful fall Tuscan vibePaige - the venue coordinator was absolutely amazing. She was always super accommodating, friendly and supportive throughout the entire stressful wedding planning process. She made the everything went smoothly on the day of and we didn’t have any hiccups!! Thank you so very much again for your support and hospitality, vintners and Paige! Overall a great experience. The grounds of the resort are truly beautiful, with lots of places to explore. The room was large & I loved being able to open my window to enjoy the crisp morning air. I would definitely stay here again. For the price, some extra amenities would have been nice - better in-room coffee or tea, use of the indoor pool, discounted/free breakfast, etc.

Beautiful somewhat pricey property, upkept very nicely, located adjacent to a large vineyard (great views), but perhaps just a bit too close to Hwy 101, this upscale hotel is best suited for couples looking for a resort with all the amenities (spa, upscale restaurant, bar). We stayed four nights celebrating our wedding anniversary. One could easily stay the entire time on location given the offerings or venture south to SF or other parts. Highly recommend.

WOW!!!! This place is lovely. The rooms are spectacular. The rooms, common places and grounds are meticulously clean. The staff are all very friendly. There is a breakfast/lunch restaurant (River vine) and a dinner restaurant and bar (John Ash & Co). They are all fantastic. There is a full spa, pool, some fire pits, outdoor games ample parking and trails through the vineyard. There is also an event hall if you’d like to have a wedding there. It was quiet and peaceful except for the sound of traffic flow on the highway behind the vineyard. If you drive your own car just know there is a pretty busy intersection near the resort to get to the main road without a traffic light. My husband and I spent just two nights at Vintners as part of our elopement honeymoon. We also dined at both restaurants and got treatments at the spa, and had an excellent experience everywhere. Our room was spacious with complementary drinks and turnover service, we even had an adorable little patio. Both restaurants were delicious, the folks at John Ash were exceptionally kind and generous to us as we celebrated the first day of our honeymoon, and the spa was beautiful, relaxing, and had all of the amenities you could want. The property is gorgeous and surrounded by countless wineries. Id recommend Vintners Resort to any of my family or friends looking to visit this area.

Location was beautiful and overall a wonderful stay. Room was spacious and comfortable. The downside, especially considering the cost, is being near the main entrance to the suites. The outer door slams shut every time someone enters or leaves. Noisy. And if you planned on sleeping in a bit…forget it.They also note you need your keycard but it was never locked.

I did not stay at Vitners Resort, I officiated a wedding. I have no doubt this resort deserves 5 Stars all around. I did have dinner at their award-winning John Ash Restaurant and felt like royalty from the greeting at the front, to the friendliness of the wait staff, till the end moment when I was gifted with a handmade chocolate truffle. The wedding area by the vineyards is absolutely gorgeous.

So we were a little behind schedule on check out day - the day before was kids crying in the next room through paper thin doors (late night and early morning). We got no sleep and it was terrible. They moved us instead of the offenders to a slightly downgraded room, which ate up our whole morning, plus no breakfast and late to our appt. So the next morning (checkout day), we were behind schedule and rushed, and told the front desk we’d be eating at their restaurant and cleaning up after. Plenty of places we’ve stayed before gave us complementary late checkout, which we thought would be the case here, especially considering our circumstances. Boy were we wrong. Key card didn’t work after breakfast, maid got us in. Front desk lady made off site worker call our room later while we were cleaning and told us any stay after checkout time would be half a day’s charge. We of course didn’t agree, but what could we do? No manager had been there for many days and the unhospitable staff raised her voice at us on the way out. She told us to call the manager and didn’t give us anything to sign either. We were way overcharged (over $400 more) without authorization.The manager didn’t return our call for many days after, and also never responded to our text. Maybe you’ll get lucky just getting wasted, but I guarantee you, if there are any problems, they are not qualified to deal with it. Not qualified for a resort.

We didnt stay at the resort, we just ate at the restaurant. The service was excellent. Staff saw us to a table without any wait. They took our order very quickly. Our drinks and food were delivered expeditiously. My beer (Racer 5 IPA from Bear Republic Brewing) was delicious. The appetizer was delicious, although I dont remember what they called it. All in all, a pleasant way to spend an hour chatting with relatives.

The Front Room is the best bar/lounge in West County with a special nod to their bartenders. Friendly, courteous, professional and they make the best espresso martini youve ever had. And the fact they have Blind Pig on tap is just a bonus. Did I mention Happy Hour 5 days a week? I would give it a higher rating, but Im limited to only 5.

Beautiful view from our room of the vineyard and grounds. The room was spacious and comfortable and included a fireplace and balcony. The location is convenient to the highway and a short drive to tour the surrounding vineyards. The on-site restaurants serve delicious food. I highly recommend this resort and hope to go back.

We went to the Front Room Bar for drinks and appetizers. We got the steak and mushroom toasts, flatbread pizza, baked oysters, fried green beans, truffle fries, tuna poke, and the cherry chocolate brownie and the pumpkin creme brulee. Every dish was delicious. We had such a good time. We will try to make it for happy hour next time. It ends at 5.

I very rarely go out of my way to review but this is by far the worst hotel that we have ever gone to due to the HORRIBLE SERVICE.I tried to contact the hotel on several occasions via e-mail and phone and it was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone...which was a major red flag.After finally getting a hold of someone on the phone, I informed them 4 days in advance about a medical emergency and if we could be eligible for a refund. They promptly said no and that I should have contacted them a week before the reservation to cancel. Emphasis on the medical emergency, which most hotels will willingly accommodate with a doctors notice. This hotel didnt even try.I then contacted them back via phone to see if I could confirm the names for check-in and they simply told me to e-mail them. Which I did...and I got no response until a day AFTER check-in.Seeing as how I was concerned about this, I arrived early on the check-in date (9 AM) and was promptly told by the front desk that Check-in wasnt until 3:00 PM and they couldnt help me until then. I wasnt attempting to check-in, I simply wanted to confirm the names on the reservation so that my partner could check-in as well.The list goes on: our booking was on a wedding block, which did not apply nor did they make any attempt to rectify this.To top it off, the day of our check-out, we were locked out of our room an hour before. When I ran to the front desk to inform them about it, they proceeded to tell me how it was my fault because I must have placed the keycard to my phone (hence why it was broken)...uhh, NO. This is not how RFID keycards work, but I didnt try to fight it.They gave me a new keycard but informed me that it would promptly lock me out again at 11:00. I got back to my room at 10:43 AM and I was locked out once more. I walked back to the front desk, we were the furthest building from the front desk, and by the time I arrived at 10:48 AM, they gave me a new card but told me to better run because Id be kicked out at 11:00 AM. What kind of joke is this? Any sane person would have added a bit more time.I ran back to the room, arrived at 10:50 AM...and the key didnt work.Thankfully, housekeeping let us in...but what a JOKE of customer service.

My wife and I traveled to Sonoma County to visit the wineries located nearby. Santa Rosa, CA, and in particular, Vintners Resort, is perfectly central to all of the great wine spots nearby (Occidental, Sebastopol, Healdsburg, etc.) The suite was beautiful with a small patio and sitting area overlooking the vineyard. The staff were all professional and courteous, and the amenities were outstanding!When we come back to Sonoma for another visit...we will definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the 9000 building, and could hear the highway traffic from the 101 which is right next to the hotel. We also stayed in a ground floor room and could clearly hear the guests above us as they moved around in their room - it felt like the ceiling were thin. With the high price we paid, I was also surprised by how little hospitality was offered during our stay. Our check in and checkout was brief and transactional. We received a half bottle of wine in our room refrigerator, and in the small print on the bottle it said a complimentary tasting was also included in our room rate - something I only noticed after we left! The room was kind of meh, but everything else on the grounds was pretty amazing. Its near a bunch of wineries and the hotel itself is also situated on a vineyard. I think that the room itself was probably due for an update about 10 years ago, but thats really the only reason that Im not giving it five stars.To give some color to that, the room was definitely clean but with the bathroom being as old and not updated as it was, I wouldnt have wanted to take a bath for example. Its worth staying here just for the spa and being able to walk the grounds of a beautiful vinyard first thing in the morning.

My overall grade for this spot is: AWe have been visiting Vintners Resort (used to be Vintners Inn) for at least 25 years, almost always the first weekend of November. For years, weve loved staying at the #2 building (one of the original 3) and loved overlooking the vineyards. This year, we were put in building 800 which is one of the new buildings and were a little disappointed that we didnt get our usual room.I must say, the new buildings are really nice and designed to keep the feel of the old rooms, but a bit bigger & updated.One thing we will miss forever, is being able to actually build a fire in the fireplaces with one of those DuraFlame logs that was provided by the property - those are long gone. Now - theres an LED fireplace which can be adjusted to whatever color you like. I will never like those. But I get it.The small things we miss or have changed: We miss getting a real cup of coffee from the bottom of the stairs of the old buildings, and we miss our nightly cookie drop-offs. (COVID maybe?). Also, breakfast used to be part of the room charge.The thing that folks may push back on is the price of the rooms. They are on the expensive side, but almost everything in wine country is like that, so we just deal with it and wait for sales to pop up on their web site to book for next year.Great location - very close to Santa Rosa airport if you fly in there. Close to the redwood forest and Healdsburg and of course all the wineries. A great experience. Dont let the power grid proximity influence you - when youre on the property - its very peaceful and a great experience.

This is a very nice Resort. The rooms are very upscale with very nice carpeting along with glass and marble flooring in the bathroom. There is a fireplace in the room and a small refrigerator with some free drink amenities. There is a free bottle of wine included for your stay along with snacks too. The ice machine is under the stairs on the first floor so it is accessible but out of the way. There is a heated swimming pool located near the rooms for easy access. This hotel is located close to a number of well known wineries and some nice upscale dining establishments. It is also 1 block from highway 101 but you dont hear the highway from your room because of the intelligent design of the berm between the highway and the hotel. The landscaping of the hotel is impressive, it makes for a very nice view and great for walking around the grounds.

It is one of the most romantic places I have ever known and well worth the drive up from San Francisco to visit.I will say, stay at one of the older buildings as the new buildings feel very cold as if yet. Buildings 100-400 are warm and comfy, larger and just so beautiful with the ivy covered walls and surrounded by lush foliage full of birdsong.Talk a leisurely walk around the grounds with wine in hand, as you get a bottle in your room upon arrival. Then later as it gets dark, slip into the heated pool at the spa for a little dip to warm the chill northern California air.Dinner at John Ash never disappoints, but stick with The Front Room for a more intimate evening. Just ask for the same menu, choose from their extensive wine list - you are in Sonoma after all - and enjoy the warmth of the atmosphere and the lovely people and impeccable service.

It was Valentines day. We had made rezzies a month ago so no problem getting in. It was packed, we heard they had over 400 reservations! So our table was decorated very nicely, we sat on the patio but the heaters were more then efficient on a cool February evening. It was a fixed 3 course menu. My wife got tuna tartar and I got the Kumamoto oysters. Both the appetizers were the highlights of our dinner, very delicious, we shared of course since it was Valentines day. Our main courses took a good half hour to come, way to long in my view. My wife had the halibut and I got the filet mignon. Her halibut was not flaky, it was way to dry. My steak was way to overcooked, I asked for medium well and it was well done and very dry. Our desert were fine.The ambiance and drinks are always fabulous at John Ash. The wait staff is top notch. In reality, its a highway adjacent embassy suites-style accommodation with a few fountains on the grounds. Not really near any charming wine country ambiance. Room is nice but the extras that you expect for a place of this caliber are not: really slow internet. I was barely able to stream Netflix (with lots of pixelation). If I would have had to use zoom for work then it would not have been possible. The pool (for which you pay an extra $35 per day as a not optional resort fee) is very small and only 3.5 feet deep. Looks more like a giant hot tub. But for a hot tub it is not warm enough. Also no bar or food service at the pool. There is a small area to sit around the pool. But again too small. The location next to a vineyard gives a nice view but it is also close enough to the highway so you can hear the cars. I was very disappointed.

So we left the establishment and took our money elsewhere, Starks Steakhouse, which I highly recommend! The odd thing is every couple walking in and out was dressed more casual than us. I booked a Courtyard Junior Suite through Booking.com. I received confirmation and was excited that my husband and I would be in our celebration period for our 46th anniversary. I received a email to complete my pre-sign for registration with my government issued ID prior to arrival. I submitted a copy of my license and signed the pre-registration form. Upon arrival I was immediately told that I had been upgraded and given a room. I simply thought the up grade was to the second floor.We were assigned to a different category of suites that cost less and was told that there was no other rooms available- for which we had purchased. I called to ask the cost of the room that I was assigned to and I was told by Jeannine, it was over $700. I knew better because on the website it was listed for less than $500! The TV worked poorly. The maintenance man said that the TV was rigged and he would send someone else. No one ever came. I will try to make contact with customer service and higher level management. I dont accept less than what I paid for and I dont accept the dismissive attitude that I should be pleased with a false upgrade. Extremely disappointed!LSmith

They have a main office building that had the cafe where breakfast and lunch as well very nice coffee is served. We only ate breakfast here and it was quite good. The guest rooms are spread across a number of buildings on ther grounds with those around the main registration building being older with large rooms and the newer building having more contemporary decor as well add the spa and fitness room. They also have a nice restaurant for dinner (John Ash) on ther grounds, a conference center, bocce courts, etc. Plenty of parking as well. Nice value when compared to other places to stay in this region.

One of the best hotels we ever stayed. We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and last month for the 2nd time. It was great to see the same great service, comfortable beds, clean grounds, delicious breakfast and great food at the restaurant and bar. They are opening new pool in September. John Ash restaurant gets all the rave reviews (and well deserved) however, my three guests visited the Vintners Inn for a business breakfast. We barely touched on business as we were too busy raving about the meticulously clean decor, the tasty scones, and the ample proportions of potatoes accompanied by our egg dishes. A creature of habit, my go to breakfast order is always the Eggs Benedict and these eggs were not only rich in flavor and Hollandaise sauce, they were cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Elmer, was an incredible host with his professionalism and impressive style by singlehandedly caring four egg dishes at once.

High-end Resort Hotel in Wine Country. This is where company CEOs and Celebrities Stay when theyre in town. The John Ash Restaurant and Bar is also on-site which gets a 5 Star Rating as well. Excellent Maintenance staff who are very quick to fix any problem you will unlikely run into. I saw the Maintenance guy working at 1 of the new rooms. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. Great Spa staff and front desk clerks. Seriously 1 of if not the top place to stay if youre in the area. Next would be Healdsburg if you have money coming out your ears then look into the new resort up there. That resort in Healdsburg drains your bank account just looking at the web page lol Just Saying.

I suggest you make a reservation or be prepared to wait...this includes the bar area. They got us in within 5 minutes, but we were at the mercy of someone leaving before we could get a table for 2. The host was very friendly and apologetic, though he didnt need to be, we should have made reservations. The service was fast and thorough, the service, food and drinks are worth waiting for!

I am giving this hotel one star for multiple reasons. This hotel has false information on their site. The hotel says they have AC in the rooms and that just isnt true. The AC shut off every night and when we called to have them come up, they did not handle the issue. They sent a security guard. I found flies in cups at the restaurant for dinner. I booked a spa appt at 1PM on Sunday and they would not allow me to hold my bags or anything and refused to handle the issue at all. I called before booking the spa and they said they would not charge a late fee if I booked my spa appt. I refuse to let anyone stay there without understanding what they are getting themselves into. Poor service. It was 100 degrees this weekend and no one solved any problems.

My brother and sister-in-law-to-be booked thier wedding night there as well as rooms for both of bridal partys to get ready in...the night before she received a call that they accidentally overbooked and the groomsmen wouldnt be able to have a late checkout (that had been pre-paid) to get ready for the wedding and that she still had to pay for all of it...there was no apology or offer to make it right, only an attitude that it was her problem and not thiers, even though she had booked and paid months advance...

Ejoyed a wedding there Oct.26 weekend or about 3 1/2 hrs of one. Had evacuate because of big fire getting to close. The bride and groom were able to get there first dance in but then everyone had pack up and skiddattle, bummer. Then again, the couple now has a pretty good story to go with there wedding and everyone needs one of those.

I made a reservation through expedia three weeks before our stay for our honeymoon. I received a phone call on the day of our stay indicating that our reservation had been canceled because the Inn was overbooked. The call was not directly from the Inn. I contacted the Inns front desk and only received the explanation that they are overbooked. I left my contact information for the manager to return our call, but never received this call. Luckily, I was able to find other accommodations, but at a premium price because of the short notice. I never had the opportunity to stay here. But considering how I booked three weeks ahead of time through Expedia and my reservation was disgracefully canceled, I assume this Inn cares about the bottom dollar and not honoring agreements. You can guarantee that if I canceled the day of our stay then I would have been changed for a full nights stay.
