Chatting with Jennifer and Cynthia was delightful. Unable to reach the office by phone, I opted for a personal visit. They graciously scheduled an appointment for me the following day and proved equally accommodating in addressing my queries both via email and in person. Their assistance has truly left me eager to transition into my new residence immediately. However, I must remind myself to exercise patience. Should all fall into place, I would readily choose Villa Del Sol as my new home. The kindness and helpfulness displayed by the management are truly commendable and somewhat rare to encounter. Ill be sure to update my review once Ive made a decision on becoming a resident.

So far I have no complaints about Villa del Sol! Everything has been smooth since we moved in a couple of months ago and all of our requests have been fulfilled. Both Cynthia and Jenifer have been a pleasure to talk with which is a huge plus because not a lot of places have that same type of friendly atmosphere. They’re both understanding and offer quick solutions. The location of the apartments is very convenient as it’s in walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Overall I’m very happy and look forward to living here for a while!

Ive been living at Villa del Sol in Sunnyvale for over a year now, and I can confidently say its been a fantastic experience. It offers comfortable living spaces, a convenient location, supportive staffs, well-maintained & clean property, and amenities are a big plus! From the hot tub and fitness center to the conference room, everything is top-notch.The leasing office staff deserves a special shoutout, especially Jennifer and Cynthia! Theyve always been incredibly supportive and helpful, going above and beyond to address any questions or concerns Ive had. Their friendly and professional demeanor truly makes Villa del Sol feel like a community.Overall, Villa del Sol has exceeded my expectations. I moved to this community a couple of weeks ago and it has been a such a pleasant experience all the way. We toured the community last month, Cynthia showed us the community and she was so helpful throughout the application process. The Leasing staff, both Cynthia and Jennifer were really helpful, went above and beyond to address all our queries. Also, this community is in the heart of Sunnyvale Downtown. There is train noise but if you can see over that, its a great community to live in with friendly staff who are there to help.

We recently moved into a 2Bed 2Bath at Villa Del Sol. We were apartment hunting for quite sometime and Villa Del Sol checked all the boxes of what we wanted. The move was really smooth. Cynthia has been amazing with our questions and prompt with getting maintenance issues resolved. The location is great! I would highly recommend these apartments.

My company provided me a two months temporary appointment here, originally, I was worried the building looks not that morden and very near the rail way. However, after one month stay, I think it is still a well maintain community and the sounds still under acceptable range. And thanks to J.C. really kindly and great helps I will become the new tenant next month. Looking forward to my first one year stay.

Last year, the owner of the leasing changed, but they are very friendly and responsive to any issues. They continue to create a great atmosphere. The apartments location is very convenient, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance!

Ive been living at Villa del Sol for around 7-8 months now in an apartment facing the train tracks.Overall, Im very happy with the apartment complex. Jennifer and Cynthia have been a pleasure to chat with, are knowledgeable, and responsive. Maintenance has also been great and friendly.The apartment itself is definitely well built, and the vaulted ceilings are excellent. Do be aware that apartments near the train tracks will need to keep the two double-pane windows (you need to open two windows in the same windowsill) closed for most of the work day due to the CalTrains running multiple times an hour, but when they are closed horn noise is acceptable but not disturbing. I work from home on some days and the noise does not interrupt meetings. Of course, this also isnt as much as a problem the farther you are from the tracks.The weekends are better because the train only runs once an hour. We like to open the windows when possible because theres a great cross breeze from the bedroom to the living room during the day.I cant rate this complex 5 stars because their current payment system absolutely makes no sense. Online accounts have a $10 activation fee and there is only one account per apartment. This means that roommates cant have their own account, and must share a password to access the system.On top of that, they charge a service fee for every online payment method: even ACH payments (with your bank routing and account number) has a fee per payment.The only way to even view your bills and pay for your rent and utilities without any fee is to come monthly to the leasing office, ask for how much is due, and pay with a check. The utility bills are also only available for a couple days before rent is due, so good luck going on vacation if its near your rent due date!Dont get me wrong, Cynthia and Jennifer are again very fun to chat with, but needing to even go through these hoops just to pay my rent without being charged extra means that I cant call every part of living here luxurious.

Short Review- Horrible experience with the new management that started around December 2023- They do not respond to emails or calls.- They can do sneaky things behind your back. So, be careful when you move outLong ReviewPlease do not lease with them. I had one of the most horrible experiences with the new Villa Del Sol management. Interacting with them was a nightmare. Villa Del Sol was great until December 2023. It had good management and a great maintenance team. Without any notice to the residents, the management changed in mid-December.The new management takes so much time to replies to any of the emails. It feels like they are thinking that they are doing a favor to me by replying. They NEVER pick up any calls. I called so many times but, they never answered. I had to send ten follow-up emails, and then they replied unapologetically. They dont give any reason why it took so long to respond.Honestly, this has caused a great deal of mental trauma for me. I am super relieved that I moved away from Villa Del Sol. They dont care if you lease or not. One of my colleagues was interested in Villa Del Sol because of the location, but they never picked up his call. He was super frustrated and gave up. In hindsight, its the best thing that happened to him. Otherwise, he would have a miserable experience with the new management. You can try this too. As an experiment, call them, and you will see they never pick up your phone.In December, I had an issue with my bathtub, where the bathtub peeled a little bit. I raised a complaint, and the maintenance team came to look into it. The maintenance team said it was about a days work, and we needed to be outside one whole day because of the fumes. We told them you could fix it after we moved out. But, after a few days, we changed our minds as it looked disgusting. We requested and filed a work order to get it fixed. But, the management never sent them. I emailed them several times, but they never responded as usual.We moved out in February, and they sent us a bill for the bathtub peel-out charges. This was the last straw they pulled. Who does this? It seemed like they were waiting for us to move out, so they can charge us. They were absolutely unprofessional, sneaky, and cunning in doing this. How unfair is this?The new manager is like I would have charged you even when you were living in the unit. I will chat with my manager to see if maybe she will allow me to remove the charge.I felt this was done super sneakily. When we placed the work order in December, the manager never told us about the cost. It clearly seemed like she would tell us after it would be fixed.I was not going to pay for something so sneakily done and behind our backs. In the end, after countless emails, they removed the cost. I wanted to put out this so the existing tenants or the new tenants are careful when they move out and need not suffer like us.I had a plan to travel outside and wouldnt have internet access on these dates, so I repeatedly told them that I wanted to clear the balance. Since they never respond on time, and after millions of reminders, they sent me an email that we are going to send your name to the collection if you dont pay by tomorrow. Really, who does this? If you responded on time, we wouldnt have this issue.Cynthia is nice and kind but I had so many negative experiences with Jennifer (manager). I do not feel good to be there. And I will never lease with Villa Del Sol if the same management is still there.

Before coming to Villa del Sol, we explored different apartment communities. All of them were great but there were always things that prevented us from closing the deal with them.One day, walking to the office, I saw this building and decided to go to ask about their available apartments at their leasing office after work.Once there, I met Cynthia and Jennefer wich are in charge of the leasing office. From moment one, they were super friendly and responsive to each and every one of my questions and concerns. Jennefer carefully analyzed our case and supported for it in order to make it easier for us to move there.The next day I came back with my wife. Cynthia gave us a tour through the community amenities and showed us a model apartment. Which was going to be the same model as the one that we were going to move. At that time we were not able to see our apartment yet because it was not available yet.Cynthia also gave us the option to start moving our stuff if we decided to move to this community. So that same day we closed the deal. She told us everything we needed to prepare before moving and how the process would be. Ever since then, some stuff has been delivered to our new apartment and Cynthia has kindly helped us to receive everything.So far, we are super happy with the experience, with Cynthia and Jennefer. We couldnt have wished for a friendlier leasing office. We will update once we move into the community.For now, we are super happy with our experience here! Thank you Cynthia and Jennefer!

Come today with an appointment at 1pm. No manager came to say hello. When I went to them and said I have an appointment, the woman was surprised and asked me to wait outside. Still no people came to me and even give me a coffee after 1:10pm.Also the apartment is nearby the Caltrain. It’s so loud especially at night. I currently live 1.5 miles away and still cannot bear the noise. People who care about the noise need to think thoroughly.The worst experience I have ever been. Not sure why so many good reviews. Not recommended.

Ive been staying here for about 6 months and couldnt be happier. The whole staff is super friendly, helpful, and attentive; maintenance requests are handled promptly and with minimal effort on my end (we had an in unit washer stop working and they replaced the whole set in less than 3 days since the unit was on the old side); and property managers are very communicative and accessible.Individual units are slightly on the older side but theyre well taken care of and present nicely. The hot tub and heated pool are definite plusses as well as the security of the property (not worried about package theft or car break ins here).If youre looking for a place to stay 3+ years with great service and a highly competitive price, this is the place to be!

Just moved in and have only lived here for a week so far, but the place is amazing. The apartments are spacious and well laid out, maintenance is super quick to address any issues, packages delivered right to your door is incredibly convenient, the AC is very strong and cools the place down very quick during heat waves, and the location just a block from a bunch of restaurants cant be beat. Yes the building is a bit on the older side and the train can be loud when it goes by, but the extra windows when closed help drown out most of the sound. Management went above and beyond with all the little things in the apartment & community to make this community a great place to live.

The apartments are modern, well-maintained, and have beautiful views of the city. The amenities, including the fitness center and pool, are top-of-the-line and always kept clean. Overall nice apartment complex to live in! Lived here for a year in a corner room that got plenty of sunlight but unfortunately also plenty of street noise. The windows help to keep out the worst of it but being on the street side still leads to some rowdiness especially on weekend nights. And of course, being this close to the train means some shakes and more noise from that as well.Management is usually pretty responsive to requests, although with mixed effectiveness--someone came to fix the closet door and a light in the apartment (day after the request was made), but it wasnt really fixed. Not the biggest issues so didnt bother making another request for those.Having AC is definitely a perk (for the few weeks that its needed), although it doesnt go directly to the bedrooms. The heating is per room, though the sensors never seemed to work so you have to remember to turn off the heat manually when it gets too warm.Kitchen appliances were pretty new and worked well, no issues there. In unit laundry was also very convenient.No regrets living here!

Villa Del Sol is the best home we could’ve picked when moving to Sunnyvale. The apartment, amenities, maintenance team, and office staff are all top tier. While from the outside it may not scream luxury apartments like some of the newer properties in the area, Villa Del Sol is classic luxury where it matters most: in the community it creates, the peace of living, and the support given to its residents. As JC in the front office at Villa Del Sol would say, we are just “living another day in paradise!” :)

Here for 15 years— reasonably priced for the area with regular turnover. Just taken over by 3rd owner. Excellent location and/but close to train. Easy access to Saturday Farmers Market, great restaurants in downtown Sunnyvale, Target, and Whole Foods. You can walk several blocks to PAMF, Safeway shopping area, Sprouts and Ross. Grounds are nicely landscaped and grounds and building are well-maintained. Maintenance personnel keep changing but they keep things working and are always ready to help. Office personnel have also changed many times, but all seem able to handle their jobs. (I would appreciate it if they would send around an email telling us names when new personnel take over the office) Most neighbors are courteous and quiet. Some thoughtless ones havent figured out that all residents should keep things clean and put things back where they belong. Pool and gym are usually in good working order. Overall a very good place to live.

It is because of Hennas leadership, kindness, and efficiency - that the complex has such high reviews.It has a high quality of life, and community feel, and I would recommend it to anyone. I am a life long Bay Area resident, a Sunnyvale one off-and-on since 2008, and VDS is one of the happiest places Ive ever lived. There is a real sense of community here, the complex and units are well designed and maintained. I have never I thought that I would stay for a short time, I wound up staying longer, because of all of these factors.It is rare to have a staff present, and on-site that puts this much care into their homes, community, and residents. I have also never got to know the staff more at a complex, where Ive lived.I should also mention Luigi who introduced me to the complex (via Blueground to start), J.C. as the leasing agent, Rafael and Manuel are amazing who have always gone above and beyond for any need (our maintenance team). All of their hard work and dedication I have been floored by, everything that they do and take care of; and I would say - just go check it out. They are the colorful buildings in a garden setting along Evelyn and really close to downtown (everything is within walking distance). Everything is comfortable, ease, and close by, both within the complex and nearby. So it has made life and meeting up with friends and attending events convenient.It is a fun and enjoyable place to live, and to go for walks around the grounds. We genuinely know our neighbors (if you want to, it happens naturally). Theres a hot tub, and small seating areas, and a grass area along the back. My unit has quadruple pane windows, which are pretty cool so the train is not really a factor. My unit that I rented, it might have been a hybrid of remodel, and I loved the design of the apartment.It is/was a renovated a mix of the white cabinets (maybe older style - and I preferred that) and new GE appliances, and I have been really happy there. There is a view as I was higher up from the 2nd floor that made me feel like NY in a Sunnyvale calm. It is more affordable than other places downtown, and it feels right to me (it has a more warm feel). // (I may come back to edit this review as its long, though I felt that it has been long time needed to share).I have been really happy here, and again would recommend to anyone.Thanks :)

This apartment complex is great and the management team is great even though there was some changes when we moved in last May. JC is a genuinely great person who will make sure to help you and Raphael is very helpful and fast in resolving the maintenance issues. The train noise is not really a big deal after you get used to it.

A good place to live. Its not as new and fancy as neighbors like Ironworks, but the apartments here are spacious and affordable. Villa del Sol was a good fit for me, and I recommend it after living here for 1.5 years.Positives:- Great location, short walk to downtown and Caltrain- Convenient free parking garage- Very responsive to work orders, most issues fixed same day- Considerably cheaper than nearby options- My unit got new kitchen appliances when we moved in- Lots of space- Spacious patio area to grow plants etc.- It has AC (however no AC in the bedrooms which is a little sad)Negatives:- Beware of train noise. I live on the side of the building that directly faces the train. The thick double-pane windows do a pretty good job, but nothing can completely stop the sound of the train horn every time it passes the rail crossing right next door. However, its not really that loud and it never wakes me up at night. By this point, I completely tune it out and dont even notice when the train goes by. But if youre sensitive to sound, its something to consider -- maybe avoid units that face the train tracks.- Occasional issues with the aging facilities, e.g. broken heater, leaky sink, some broken light switches. But the maintenance team has resolved these after we reported them.- Plumbing is bad. For instance, you cant turn off the water to your toilet (or unit) so you cant install a bidet or fix issues easily. If one unit has an issue involving water, they have to shut off the water for the entire building to fix it. This happens occasionally.- The resident portal has been down for several months. We were asked on short notice to pay via check instead.Overall, I do recommend living at Villa del Sol. Its not perfect, but the issues arent really a big deal. Considering the location, its great value!

We moved in a month ago. Before making up our mind we met with 7 leasing agents on the same day and were impressed by Louiss professionalism. He is passionate about his job and very friendly. He followed up instantly right after our meeting and put all details we have discussed in writing. We signed a lease the next day and cancelled the rest appointments. With Villa Del Sol teams help we were able to move in smoothly. This apartment complex is fully gated so we feel safe. Louis is as reliable as the first time we met. He addressed all our concerns and hasnt let us down. He provided us all available parking spots to choose from because we were not satisfied with the assigned one. We never regret choosing here and feel been taken care of 7 days a week. I will keep updating my review.

We recently moved in and the whole process right from setting up the in-person visit to moving-in was smooth and as great as it could be.A huge shoutout to Louis - one of the best leasing agents I have come across so far!! He was very accommodating of all our requests and our endless questions! He’s very pleasant to talk to and is always welcoming. Louis definitely gave us more faith in the management of the community.As for the apartment, we love it so far. For us, noise isn’t so much of an issue- at least not enough to disturb our routine. The community also feels very safe.

Pari, Miguel and Luis have been phenomenal during our residence here at Villa Del Sol. Weve lived here for 3 years and are so thrilled to have found such a great place to call home with amazing and friendly management staff. Theyve always been extremely quick with communication and will go above and beyond to help in any way.Theres been a ton of new updates to the complex such as the courtyard communal furniture, lounger chairs and cabanas by the pool, beautiful landscaping and gym equipment.This place is a gem for everyone, both families and working individuals, some perks to living in this location is that youre walking distance to the cal train (which you cant hear by the way), 2 blocks away from Murphys avenue (where they host the Farmers Market every Saturday), plenty of options for dining and now a Whole foods plus AMC movie theater

Villa Del Sol used to be a great place to live. Once management changed hands, the leasing office has become an absolute nightmare to deal with. They won’t return emails or phone calls; I’ve had to send multiple messages just to inquire about our security deposit refund. Their contract states 21 days - it has been 49. May the renter beware!

We have been living at Villa Del Sol for a little under two years, and I cant think of one bad thing to say.The apartments are located only a block from downtown Sunnyvale, which has seen tremendous growth and expansion in the last few years. There are excellent restaurants, fun bars, weekend farmers markets with local produce, live music in the summer, a target, and there will soon be a Whole Foods (all within walking distance)!The apartments themselves come equipped with up to date appliances, ample space, storage units, and more. If anything breaks or needs to be replaced, you can count on Miguel or other members of the maintenance staff to resolve your issue right away (typically within a day). The pool is heated and spacious, the lobby has a working space and computer access, and the staff is magnificent! Pari and others go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy and that the facilities are always improving.I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a home in the Bay Area.

We wanted to take a quick moment to share our overwhelmingly positive experience with Villa Del Sol. The office manager Pari was always pleasant and professional, any queries we had were always responded to promptly. The entire front office team were actually great, whether dealing with lease questions or amazon deliveries, they were always smiling and welcoming. The building and suites were beautifully maintained, but if needed, maintenance manager Miguel was always available, even via text..and always so friendly and efficient! We have had mixed experiences as renters in Sunnyvale so we felt the need to commend Villa del Sol on their fine work. We were only sorry we had to move out in November due to new baby and change in my husbands work, but we will pop back in to say Hello with the baby when we are in the neighborhood!Thanks againStephanie and Ron

I have found my stay here to be very enjoyable over the past six months. The staff has been incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, and maintenance requests have been handled promptly and with minimal effort on my part. The manager JC is a super helpful and a cheerful guy. Will recommend!

Was searching for a new apartment and bumped up on this property. Due to the COVID situation, I avoided in-person visits. Called up the leasing office toured the website photos, virtual tours, and property reviews from all forums.I was confident of signing a lease without actually seeing the apartment because of these two amazing folks Louis & Pari, who go above and beyond when it comes to assisting customers. They managed to answer all my initial queries, prepare my apartment in 4 days for move-in. I hope the property management company is taking care of them. Louis & Pari, thank you for all the support.Anyhow, for those who remain concerned with noise - I spent a few days post moving to see if it made any difference; I could barely hear the sound. These are my findings.25-30dB - Normal day (note this is very quiet in my view)43-48dB - Train pass by (barely noticeable)50-55dB - Train passes by and honking.Please note my unit is not facing the trackside. The readings vary depending on the unit direction and door/window state. In short, it does not worry me, though audible.I havent been around the property to comment on other facilities; my interaction has been very minimal; I put in a maintenance request and attended on the same day, which is good.

Update: 5/31/17. I just wanted to give thanks to Villas front office (Edith and Pari) for finally getting the right maintenance person on board. The previous maintenance staff was horrible, lazy and rude. I can definitely say that since Miguel has started, the premises has never looked better. From the landscaping to the maintenance issues that have occurred, he has been on top it. I have actually seen him after business hours walking around the complex making sure that the pool, gates, and outside doors are secure for the tenants safety. I now feel confident that if I have a maintenance issue, that is will be fixed correctly with the utmost professionalism. Congrats Pari on having a fantastic team that thinks about the tenants at Villa.8/30/16: I just moved in a little more than a month ago and I have to say I love my apartment!! The grounds, amenities, location and services are extraordinary. I had lived and a prior complex for over 8 years with little communication with my property manager. I spent my first three years living in California at this complex. It was a lovely place to live, primarily for the location and the space. Proximity to downtown (farmers market, shops, festivals, etc.) and the train station were hard to beat. Good sound-proofing allowed us to get used to the train horns quickly. The storage unit next to our place was great for storing bikes, luggage, and a few other things.We really appreciated the in-unit W/D and HVAC. The gym, pool, and hot tub were nice to have from time to time. We had two cars with only one space, but guest parking ended up being pretty reliable.Ultimately, we moved due to the price increases, even though we expected it from any complex. We’ll miss the staff the most: Pari, Louis, and Miguel (I call them the “Dream Team”) were very helpful and responsive in all matters and always so personable. They do a fantastic job of getting to know all of the tenants.

Villa del Sol is a lovely community with a super friendly staff. The apartments themselves are modern and relatively newly built which is somewhat rare in the area. These apartments are also relatively more affordable for downtown Sunnyvale.The apartments are next to the train station and the train tracks (which is nice IMO because I get a view of the trains from my window). Train noise is not really an issue after the first two days or so and when the windows are closed.Pari is the manager in the leasing office; she remembers most tenants by face, and is always very warm and welcoming. Maintenance requests are handled promptly, I just have to fill up a small form on the mobile app.The leasing office also has a small business center that you can use to print and scan documents, or to work with a view of the pool. There is also a small but nice gym and heated pool with hot tub and bbq area.

I moved into Villa Del Sol in Feb 2019. The big pros include the location, the well-maintained apartments, and the management (Pari and Louis) and maintenance (Miguel) teams. The location is great - it is very close to Murphy Avenue and the Sunnyvale Caltrain station. The apartments are cozy and well-maintained. The management and maintenance teams are excellent - they are dedicated, skilled, and always willing to help! I am very thankful for their help and support.The only downside is that the common areas (e.g., hallways, elevators, fountains) are a bit dated and could use a touch-up (or replacement).All and all, I have enjoyed my experience at Villa Del Sol.

We are going on 3 years of calling Villa Del Sol Apartments home. We love it here. We are in downtown close to everything. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and the farmers market every Saturday is just steps from home. The train station is near if needed. My favorite Target! Its just 2 blocks away! You cant beat that! We love living here. Staff is great and friendly. They are always there willing to help and have a smile to make you feel welcomed everytime you walk into the leasing office. I really enjoy living here. The location is perfect – you can walk to Murphy Ave (farmers market every Saturday!) and Caltrain in minutes and drive to Safeway or Trader Joes in minutes as well. The property itself has a great pool and many outdoor spaces to relax in. The gym was recently renovated and is OK (missing some machines that I would like) but is very clean and the equipment is all new.The cost is what you expect for an apt in the bay area which is tough to swallow but a reality of living here. My main complaint is that the appliances are a bit outdated (refrigerator, stove, etc.) but they work fine. The apartments have tall ceilings and great windows so it feels really peaceful. I personally do not hear the train go by but that may be because I face Evelyn Ave.I love that it is pet friendly (so many cute doggies to see!) and the dog owners seem really respectful of the space.One of the biggest perks of living here is the staff. Pari and Trobedia are SO pleasant and very helpful. Every time I come into the leasing office to pick up packages or ask a question I am greeted so nicely and genuinely and I enjoy seeing them. Also, Marco and the new maintenance person are really good and are always very respectful of our home.I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an apartment in Sunnyvale.

Our favorite property we lived at so far! Grounds are always clean and the staff is always courteous and friendly. Especially Pari, she is always there to help with a smile. Every time I have gone in the office I have always been given the customer service attention we are always looking for but seldom receive. The rent is a bit high, but you get a great location right next to downtown Sunnyvale and the Caltrain station (hope youre OK with train noise), basically everything you need is within a 5 minute drive and most of its within a 10 minute bike ride as well.Each apartment also comes with a storage unit, and you get included access to a really nice saltwater pool and an admittedly very small gym. Seriously, its a couple of treadmills, some resistance bikes, a few light ball weights and kettle bells, and a cable weight machine. The company that maintains the machine doesnt seem too invested in keeping it in good shape, but credit is due to Pari for trying time and time again to get them to repair it. The pool, on the other hand, comes fully decked out with a couple of grills, sun chairs, and a few shaded group seating areas for parties - great stuff.The grounds are kept very clean, maintenance response is prompt, efficient, and friendly, and the maintenance staff are all very personable. Dont expect the parent property management company to listen to requests, since they own quite a few complexes around the area with different ruls, but the community managers, Pari and Edith, are wonderful. If you have a good history as a tenant (dont raise a fuss, be friendly and understanding if you bring up any problems) they will do their best to make sure your needs are met. I would have missed a rent payment because the new online pay system screwed up when my roommate dropped off the lease this year, and they both worked with me consistently to make sure I didnt have any late fees and to get the site support to fix my situation.Should be a 4.25 overall but I cant do that so Im rounding up to a 5 because of how friendly and helpful the staff have been. Yes, theyre that great!

A great complex to live in!Upsides:- Apartments are very spacious, clean and reasonably renovated: not the best stuff out there, but good enough to feel comfortable. The ceilings in 3rd floor apartments are sky-high (~12 feet?).- Washer/dryer in each apartment.- Super-friendly and helpful staff: we had a few problems with the appliances when we moved in, and the staff went out of its way making sure they are fixed as quickly as possible.- Excellent amenities, particularly the pool & jacuzzi.- Gated community.- Underground garage with assigned spaces.- A huge outside storage closet assigned to each apartment: fit all of my backpacking gear, tools, 3 bikes, and more.- 1 minute walk to Sunnyvale downtown, with tons of restaurants, coffee shops, etc.- Almost every store imaginable within a 1-to-5-minute drive.- Tech shuttles stopping literally downstairs.The downsides:- CalTrain on one side of the complex and a busy street on the other. The windows all have double-pane glass, though, so unless youre very sensitive, the street side is perfectly livable (not sure about the CalTrain side). Still, prepare to not only hear, but literally feel trains passing by, especially when freighters start going sometime past midnight (there is usually just one or two in one night).- Being close to the downtown, with some bars closing very late, prepare for occasional noisy folks late at night outside, particularly on weekends.

I moved into villa del sol just about a month ago, and I have loved it here so far.Everything here has been absolutely great so far- my apartment was pretty big compared to the other apartments which are similarly priced in the area, the apartments are very close to downtown Sunnyvale which has a number of restaurants, bars and a target (an AMC and a Wholefoods will be opening sometime this year too!), the pool and hot tub have been clean whenever I have used them, the gym has been well maintained, Louis who is in the leasing office has been extremely helpful and informative since we moved in.The only couple of cons would be- The caltrain track is right next to the apartments, so there is a lot of noise in the mornings and evenings (This could also be viewed as a MAJOR PRO if you commute using the caltrain as the Sunnyvale station is a 3 minute walk), the gym doesnt have a whole lot of free weights for those interested in using the gym for weight training.

I found this complex online and felt it would be a great match for us. Since the time she joined, she has been very helpful in solving any issues. Marco the service personal has always proved very warm and immediate response. Apartment review; Vial Del Sola, at SunnyvaleI have been living at heart of silicon valley, Sunnyvale and commuting to Santa Clara for Semiconductor business. We with my spouse had moved from Kyoto, Japan to Bay area in fall of 2011. Vila Del Sol was introduced by my coworker in Kyoto, who had worked in this area. This apartment was chosen for its security for the entire fascilities, rooms, pools, gym and parking area, each facility is well secured. Also the location is very convinent such that Caltrain station, Downtown historical Marphy street where many authentic and various restaurants and Farmer’s market on every Saturday, Macy’s and Target stores, all the sites are within 5-10minutes walking distance. This is very important for our family since in our country, especially cosmopotian area, the public transportation system is faster than cars due to the traffic jam.For these reasons, this year is the 4th one for us to keep living although the rent has been increasing every year from 1900$ for one bed room in 2011 to 2400$ this year, thus, the average rent increasing rate is around 10% or over ion this district. This is very expensive for our nation standard even in Tokyo. However, the fascility is very good in addition to its security and location. The outdoor heated pool, a conference room, Gym with two bicycles and two tread mills, in addition to them, one Ergo rowing machine, that I have requested every timing when the rent has been raised. My long-time hobby is rowing racing boat and wanting still to be competitive. All the gym machines are brand new and furnitures are renewed in the conference room, Entrance hall and some of pool side this year. Presumably because many apartment building rash is going around the down town of Sunnyvale, which is closer to Caltrain than us. PC corner is installed two computers with one multiple functional ink jet printer though the printer is frequently down due to a short of inks and connecting trouble with PCs.Leasing office members are very friendly and helpful. Leasing office with Pari, Rebecca and Marco are friendly. Marco has been helping many for housing mainatenance very quickly and accurately, Pari and Rebecca have been always assisting printing, faxing, copying and scanning especially when the public tools are down and/or busy. All the stuff people are very flexible for my difficult demands.Overall we have been satisfied with this apartment and not thought moving out in spite of high rent, and the noisy plane nearby Moffet air port as well as Cal trains running along our building.The bottom line is that I would like to recommend my friends this apartment as was done by my friend.

We just moved to Villa one week ago. It is located at downtown sunnyvale, steps away from Macy, Target, UPS etc...and on murphys ave you can also find various restaurants. The location is great if you are looking for convenience in sunnyvale.Lets talk about the apartment, it is unfurnished while its clean and new as expected. In Daniche, the bedrooms are big enough even for couples. It has all the stuff needed for living such as oven, fridge, washer machine, ac, dish washer etc. Villa is built on 2001 and it still looks great.In the public area we got swimming pools and fitness room(though it is a small one), and you can also wander around in a peaceful and gorgeous environment.The only drawback is that its near the Cal Train station. Sometimes in the morning you can hear the train passing. But for me its not a big deal since at midnight its quiet and peaceful.The last thing i want to talk about is the staff in villa, they are really nice compared with leasing office people i met back in NY. Pari really helped me a lot from the beginning, and she instructed me on everything i needed to know. The staff will respond quick on your demand and requirement and they are really hospitable and feels like family.Ill definitely recommend villa to my friends and family whoever looking for an apartment in Sunnyvale area.

I have lived here for one month. I chose this property because it was a short walk to the Caltrain, the pool and hot tub here well maintained and tastefully furnished. The apartment has a great layout and feels spacious. It is dog friendly. has a patio and washer/dryer/dishwasher. The entire staf (Pari, Trabidia and Marco) are extremely pleasant, professional and accommodating. There is a cart in the mail room to help in getting groceries to your apartment; plus there is an elevator.I was concerned the train might wake me up at night, but it doesnt. The noise that you hear from the train is when you are outside. The trains pass so quickly; its quiet before you know it. You can walk to Historic Murphy Street to dine out...theres everything you could imagine. Theres a new Target nice and close that has been great to help with home supplies & groceries. At this point I plan to stay here until my life situation evolves. There is no reason to leave; only reasons to stay.

I have been living at Villa Del Sol since 2010. Here are the quick pros and cons of this apartment complex:Short Summary: A decent place with a friendly staff, good location, and boring appliances. But if you value your electric car or want to keep the option of going green for your next car open, you should look elsewhere.PROS:- Friendly Staff: The office and maintenance staff is very friendly (Rebecca, Pari, and Marco). They will do their best to solve your problem in a timely and friendly manner. There was a less friendly staff member some time ago, but she has since moved on.- Safe: The property is relatively safe. Since Ive been here, theyve had someone break into the mailboxes two or three times, and Ive had my storage room broken into once... however given that Ive been here for about five years, this seems reasonable for the area. Nothing of value was ever actually taken.- Well Maintained: The grounds are well maintained. The pool, gym, and other facilities are clean, accessible, and up to date.- Nice Neighbors: The neighbors are friendly, quiet, and mostly keep to themselves. I have carelessly left my keys on my front door more times than I care to admit; so far there has always been some nice neighbor to ring the doorbell and alert me to the issue. Cant complain.- Good location: The place is well situated near Sunnyvales downtown, an up-and-coming area with new shops and restaurants as of late. Cal-train is an 8-minute walk.[ So why only 3 stars? Read on! ]CONS:- (Minus 1 star) Functional but outdated appliances: Each appliance is the sort of bargain-bin thing youd find at the hardware store circa 1997. Some of them are showing their age. For example, I have had a couple of refrigerators since moving in here, and each has had a different problem. My current refrigerator leaks water into the rear area of the inside of the fridge, but I have decided to simply put a water-collection bin inside the fridge and deal with the problem myself. Getting yet another fridge with a new (probably worse) problem is not high on the list. Also the A/C at Del Sol is NOT apartment-wide, you only get A/C in the living room.- (Minus 1 star) NO Electric Car Charging: These days, a lot of apartment complexes, companies, and even parks around here have electric car charging ports accessible to customers... But not Villa Del Sol. Unfortunately Villa Del Sol has decided not to add a single charging station in their garages. Residents cannot even charge using a standard 110 volt charger. In other words, forget Villa Del Sol if you have or are thinking of ever buying an electric vehicle. I have asked the office staff about this issue on multiple occasions and every time they give me the same story - Its coming! and that We dont have a date, or even a season yet... but maybe sometime next year!. I have also sent emails to the property owners and other folks higher-up on the food chain, and basically they have given me the same go away, stop bothering us with this answer. Given that Ive wanted to change my car for a leaf or something similar for more than a few months, the lack of a clear timeframe or even a clear no, it wont happen has been very frustrating to say the least. It is clear the property owner has dropped the ball on this, and I am tired of getting the run-around. Unless this is remedied promptly, I wont be renewing my lease when it comes up; there are simply better properties nearby that actually take electric cars and charging seriously.

The lady at the reception lobby coldly replied you are late, hence you cannot see the apartment now. She was so condescending and rude that she didnt even offer us a seat and treated us like dirt. Cant think of worse instance of customer service experience for a long time. I imagine that if the pre-sale treatment of the customer is so abysmal, how bad would the post-sale treatment be once I needed to get any work done from them?In a state of utter disbelief, we simply left and signed the lease at our second choice apartment community less than a mile away. Thank goodness we were saved from signing a lease and getting locked into this place for at least a year!

The apartment itself it nice and luxury. The most complain is from Caltrain behind the apartment. If its a bullet train passing, you can feel the whole building is shaking with whistle! If its the normal train passing, you will head very sharp whistle and the horns from traffic intersection. This train runs from 4am to 12am on weekdays. It comes in every 5-10mins during the peak time which exactly is the precious time you want to sleep more in the morning. You can image how bad my sleep quality is!

These are great apartements in a great area and safer. A great place to call Home Dream. I really love this place. Pari in the reception always help you out with all questions and Marco keeps the garden and pool area really nice. We have two small children (1 and 3) and it works great for families. The first two days we was disturbed from the train but then you stop thinking about it and like that it is so close to the Caltrain station. Yes, Im actually on the train right now;)

They waste hundreds of gallons of water each night. Sprinklers are broken and havent been fixed in weeks. The entire street gets filled with water for about a 200 meters from the broken sprinkler.
