I wish all game stores were as good as Viking Hobby! Wall of games 10 percent off saved me a ton of money.Great selection of Dungeons & Dragons! Its wonderful to support a local small business that gives superior service! I started shopping here in 1970s. Bought Runequest, my first Table Top RolePlaying Game here in 1980. Bought all my games and dice and models here. Always very helpful and knowledgeable. If I wanted something they would order it. They always had the best prices and service in the entire Sacramento area. Original owner Jessica is still there and gave great advice. Go there! .

First off, I loved the energy of this place! Ive never been before but I was on a search for two specific board games (The Castles of Burgundy & Dominion) and a lot of places didnt have them. Fortunately, I called before coming to the store to ask if they had them in stock and they did! Even over the phone, Jessica was very nice and accommodating. Being that she only had the last copy of each, she even offered to put them on hold for me which was great! I ended up getting it the same day and the pricing was great because they also have a 10% off promo. Their other selections were great as well and theyre very knowledgeable on all the games if you ask. Glad I could support a local small business, and if youre considering it you should too! Highly recommend you check them out!

Viking has been around for about 40 years. I remember when it first opened, but not the dateThe shop is quite small, but has a very good selection of models and one of the best game selections in town.A fun old fashioned hobby shop to visit.

Been one of Jessicas customers since the 90s. Great shop! Always finding treasures tucked away on the shelves. She has ordered countless products for me and my group. When I show up, she lets me know when new goodies have arrived that she knows I will be interested in. She has a vast knowledge of the model/paint and TT boardgame industries. Excellent customer service! A fun and enjoyable experience, during each and every visit.:)

Wonderful little shop. The staff was all friendly and willing to answer any questions. The variety was great. Minis, paints, model cars, planes, tanks, etc. Also a wide selection of games (with great prices).They have been in this same location for over 45 years and you can see why.We even forgot our receipt and she walk around the corner where we told her we had parked just to make sure we had it.Its great to support a nice local shop!

An easy 4 stars for the customer service alone. The owner behind the desk was very attentive and great to talk with. Shes clearly interested in hearing about hobby activities that may be outside her wheelhouse.The store itself is small with a small parking lot. Its main specialty appears to be planes, military, cars and sci-fi model kits, model paints, craft/hobby magazines, and table top games (at 10% off). They also have smaller selections of Warhammer figurines and diorama props.Sadly, they didnt have the exact model kit tools that I was looking for, but I enjoyed visiting anyways!
