2024-04-08 04:45:26We randomly stopped here while visiting Paso Robles and were very pleasantly surprised. This is family owned place with great love for wine making. Every wine we tried was delicious and we wanted to take all of it home to share with family and friends. Larry is highly professional in wine making and in a 10 years that weβve been coming to Paso Robles thy probably one of the best wines we tried. Thank you and good luck!

2024-06-09 21:57:08Make a reservation, just do it. This is a mom & pop winery, in the truest sense. Built for love of the grape. The wine is well made and the vintner knows what he is talking about from both education and hard work in the field. It is like visiting your crazy uncle, if your uncle knew so Much about winemaking. Delightfully eclectic and NOT for the bridal party van.

2023-01-06 04:47:38April and Larry were super sweet and gave us one of the greatest wine experiences. My girlfriend and I came up during one of the craziest storms to hit Paso and we worried about making it there. We arrived about 20 minutes before our appointment, and instead of waiting for our time slot, they welcomed us warmly and gave us some blankets. After we settled in, they gave us a menu and talked about the history of their winery, their passions and provided some tips to help us learn and enjoy wine. My favorites were the merlot and temprillo but they were all pretty good. You can really tell how much they care about their products. I decided to buy 5 bottles. I also love their Dia de la Muertos artwork π

2024-04-25 19:19:37We stopped at Via Vega as the first stop on a day of wine tasting. Larry and April were refreshingly genial hosts, and their love and knowledge of wine and winemaking was so evident throughout our tasting session. The venue theyve created there is so unique, with a dia de los muertos theme and a strong San Francisco Giants undertone...unless you go to the adjacent production building where it is a Giants extravaganza! The wines were delicious and Larrys extensive experience and wine education on display. As an aside, April and Larry are just really interesting, friendly people. We spent a really enjoyable hour with there, had a wide ranging conversation and my only complaint is that I wish we had more time there :-) If you are looking for a unique, quality small family vineyard, I think youll love it here. We did.

2022-03-07 00:45:42This was my first tasting, touring and any wine related experience. Via Vega was our first stop during our touring and Larry set the bar HIGH! Took his time with us. Listened to us. Gave us tasting tips and tricks. So knowledgeable and helpful! His vineyards are not sprayed with pesticides and other chemicals. You can tell he thoroughly loves what he does. His pours for tastings are generous. I was feeling nice and warm (sleepy and drunk) after leaving. I bought 3 bottles and the rest of my party did too! and I must say I didnβt think Iβd love wine but after Via Vega Iβm glad to say his wines are the only wines my pallet LOVED! I will definitely return to Via Vega !

2022-01-02 06:21:09Stopped here based on google reviews while driving through and couldnβt be happier we did. Though closed on a rainy afternoon, we called and Larry opened his tasting room to us and accommodated us with a first class, covid friendly tasting experience.Heβs a wealth of knowledge from his 30 years in the industry - from beginnings in Napa through winemaker jobs in Sonoma, Monterey, and Paso Roblesβ¦and all of his travels in between. No matter the varietal or question, he always had some great insights or anecdotes to pair with the wines. The options are plentiful, pricing is unbeatable, and quality is great - we especially enjoyed the cabs, montepulciano, and dessert wines. The wines have absolutely no additives and he clearly loves/brings out the best in his grapes. We ended up spending 3 hours and purchasing a bunch of bottles for a fraction of the price our favorites from other wine regions would have cost.Stop through and support, you wonβt regret a tasting and conversation.
