The facility is phenomenal! What a huge breath of fresh air in regards to the treatment of our pet children! Being able to stay with my little girl at all times meant the world to me!VEG is actually even more quick, efficient, and compassionate than human urgent care facilities! Entire staff was professional, friendly and caring - from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctors. Can’t wait for the location near me to open in the South Bay! I’ve been telling all of my friends about VEG!THANK YOU

I dont even have the words for my appreciation for the staff at VEG. They are just OUTSTANDING. My dog had a seizure and I rushed him from the beach to VEG. I am sure there were possibly other emergency vets along the way but I had used VEG once in the past and was so impressed with the full service ER that it never crossed my mind to go anywhere else. From the time I got there, the staff went right to work asking me what my desires were should things deteriorate and fully engaging in the care Romeo needed. During the almost 18 hours we were there, they allowed me to stay with Romeo the entire time, never acting like it was an inconvenience for me to be there. He was closely monitored the entire time and it was evident that this care was being extended to all the pets there. It was impressive that they kept checking on ME, offering me water and snacks and making sure I was okay. The place was very busy and yet the staff always seemed happy, did not appear stress, and the number of staff seemed appropriate to manage whatever came in the door. They kept me up to date on the charges and costs and constantly checked in with me on next steps in his diagnosis and the options I had with regard to his care and the costs. I felt like I was a partner in the decision making and was never made to feel like they were doing more then needed to run up the costs. They were kind, compassionate and CLEARLY highly trained. When we left, I was given comprehensive discharge instructions both verbally and in writing. My invoice and doctor notes were comprehensive for me to send to my insurance company for reimbursement and they sent a copy to my regular Vet. I am a Nurse Practitioner and I can tell you, it would nice if we were so kind and efficient with the care of humans and staffed our ERs and clinics appropriately.

We recently had an extremely stressful incident with our beloved pet Rosita who had badly hurt her paw and made the mistake of giving her Ibuprofen without realizing it was very toxic so we rushed her to VEG. We were seen literally in minutes and a stressful event turned out to be a wonderful experience. The way they keepyou with your pet and let you experience the whole process if you want, is something I have never seen. I had emergency room situations before with pets and my kids and it was always so stressful. They took care of Rosita and everyone there was comforting their pets which among the many included a bird, a rabbit, cats and dogs .. As weird as it sounds we actually enjoyed an emergency room, we came home in high vibration feeling grateful for places like VEG !thank you to DR. Stephanie Teel who was so wonderful. The front desk was so kind as well.

I would drive an hour in the middle of the night just to have my dogs treated by the staff at VEG. The kindest and most compassionate staff ever. All vets should take lessons on how VEG works. Full transparency - they never take your dog to the back when you’re already panicking. You are allowed to stay with your dog the entire time. Always honest, always treating you as the member of your dog’s care team. Thank you again for the excellent service. Yes, this is being written at 2AM.

VEG Team really cares not only about your pet, but they care about you too. They are very fast at seeing and treating your pet as soon as you walk in the door. Or someone will come to your car & help you bring your pet in if needed. You will get the BEST care here in an emergency situation. I’m so glad my friend told me about Veterinary, Emergency Group! Thank you and God Bless you all!

Cannot thank Dr. Teel and Andrea enough! Everyone here was especially friendly and I will never hesitate to bring my pups here if needed. The whole team provided a calming energy, allowed me to stay with my dog the whole time and answered every question I had. They even let me bring my dog’s emotional support dog in! So glad my dog still has his eyeball (darn foxtails) and is resting at home ❤️

Wonderful! I had the best experience at Veterinary Emergency Group in Encinitas today! Holly and Charlene in particular were so kind and compassionate. They treated my situation with urgency and competency! My dog was under the best care. I will be sure to return to them any time my animals need to see an ER vet. If you need emergency care ASAP or are setting up an ER vet in advance just in case...this is the place! A+ Recommended.

Everyone was amazing and so kind and helpful. Treated my dog like he was their own. I was thoroughly impressed by VEG. I was able to stay with my dog throughout the whole night to ensure his comfort. They were not only asking if Louie needed anything, but checked on me as well.Randi was amazing!! She was so kind and so helpful. She went above and beyond.Clara was his nurse at the start. She was great as well!! Very nice and so helpful!Dr Reinhart was amazing too, and Dr. Cain was very helpful and time efficient for Louie’s treatment and figuring out a game plan.(I am pretty sure these were the two vets, apologies if I said the wrong name)I know I didn’t acknowledge everyone I forget all the names but I really appreciated everyone for their care and helpfulness and kindness!! Glad Louie had the best team taking care of him.

Really great experience—Dr Butler was amazing and quickly took care of my puppy after she ate a sock. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and handled “Lucy” really well. Highly recommend VEG for urgent/emergency pet care!

I drove 30miles to come to this place and I’m so glad I did. My Laila girl was puking throughout the night until it was streaked with blood. I did a quick telehealth appt through my pet insurance at around 3:30am and they cautioned to call ahead of any emergency vet I go to because of a national shortage of emergency Vets. I called VEG ahead of time and they ensured me Laila would be seen by a Vet as soon as I got in. When I hung up, they texted me their online check in form (I loved the preparation). When I arrived at 5am they greeted us by saying “is this Laila?” with such sweet enthusiasm, Laila’s tail wagged despite being a nervous of the new surrounding. We were immediately sat on a comfy couch and Laila was assessed. The entire time the staff was comforting and patient with Laila. I was with Laila for every step of the way and I loved being involved in her care. She was less anxious with the poking and prodding because I got to hold her and reassure her. I’m so grateful for the staff here; they communicated every step and asked if I had any questions they could answer. Laila was discharged with meds and they encouraged me to call if I have any questions. They let me know that they would have me speak to a vet on staff if anything else came up that I needed support with. Thankfully it didn’t come to that. Laila ate her first meal later that evening and now, two days later, is back to her normal self. :’) thank you VEG!
