I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Venice Suites. Abbie and all of the staff made sure I had a perfect stay, I could not have asked for better. The hidden gem (and I really dont like letting this secret out of the bag) is the rooftop patio...holy cow: billion dollar view, deck chairs, tables and BBQ...I had breakfast, lunch and supper out there, it was the highlight of my trip. Thank you everyone at Venice Suites. And huge shout out to Abbie!

The best view! Right on the beach. Nice kitchen and supplies. No elevator. No heat (or ac) they do have fans. Coming in mid February, it was super cold at night and the blankets were thin. Amazing roof top deck with the best views, and a grill. Easy walk to Venice Beach Pier & Santa Monica Pier! I recommend the scooters but do not take them out of Venice Beach!

The room was so hot that I had to open all the windows and use two electric fans to lower the temperature and maintain ventilation.In addition, the hotel charged me a smoking fee, but my girlfriend and I did not smoke any cigarettes in the room. After writing to inquire, the customer service only told me that they smelled cigarettes in the room, which was incredible to me.All this made my experience very badYes, the view on the top floor is very beautiful. The room is also comfortable despite being exposed to the sun.But using this excuse to charge me for smoking completely ruined my vacation.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------The hotel staff clearly didnt understand that the reason for the unpleasantness was not the amount of money but the fact that I was fined for something I didnt do.Recommended for residents with smoking habits, they may be tempted to take your money this way because of the lingering smell of cigarette smoke on your clothes or the smell of cigarette smoke in your cigarette pack.

Yes on the ocean but a cold shower, no coffee cup or any cups, noise from car alarms and folks outside at night, and a back pain inducing memory foam mattress (not a typical hotel feature). I wouldn’t recommend.

Ive visited this hotel twice. I dont remember much in the way of service but nothing beats the location. You can go to the rooftop and get an even more stellar view.

Great accommodations. Amazing location right on the beach. Roof deck, Kitchen in room, good beds, good pillows, good bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. If you like the beach and want some Venice boardwalk flavor this spot has you covered. Easy to get around on foot. Looking forward to returning.

This place is amazing. Abby the assistant manager is absolutely amazing. She’s the best person I’ve ever dealt with in customer service. If we could stay here forever we would. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone if I could give Abby the most high award I would. I cannot say more about her, she went above and beyond what she needed to do, but she never gave up. She’s did everything to help us. We will definitely be coming back just so we can see Abby again. I never want to leave here. It’s the best place on Venice Beach to stay. Thank you Abby for the best service available. You’re the best!!!

Corner room was very nice! The sofa bed isnt exactly comfortable as a bed, but the location, view and location was fantastic!We brought our own scooter, so the off-site parking wasnt a big deal, but if you REALLY want to park at the hotel, you can pay almost double to park at the Hotel overnight.

My son and I stayed here during a special vacation time we had together. The location is perfect! Literally on Venice Beach, the boardwalk, the sand, the ocean. People watching was so much fun, seeing all the different reasons people come through here. You have your runners, the bike riders, merchants, dog walkers, business men on lunch break… It was a unique experience.The staff at Venice Suites were great. Very friendly and helpful. We had a beach suite, and it was clean, decorated well with bright colors and fun design. Being from ND, you’d imagine I would NOT have been cold here lol, but there was no heat in the suite, haha and I felt that at night! I’m definitely NOT complaining though, it’s negative where I live at this moment.The man that runs the parking is very nice and helpful.There is so much to do here, this is a great location and I highly recommend to anyone questioning this place. It’s affordable, clean and the employees are very nice and personable.I would definitely stay here again.

We have been coming here at least once a year for around 12 or 13 years from canada. Its gotten more expensive over the years so our stays are shorter than they used to be but no LA trip is complete without a stay at Venice Suites. The location is great (moderate walk to marina del rey or to santa monica pier) the rooms are very comfortable the staff are wonderful and the rooftop deck is life itself. Its not a hotel - and thats a good thing - but it is a great place to relax unwind and soak up Venice and the beach.

The place is literally right next to the Pacific Ocean. Amazing view from rooms. You can walk-run-biking play volleyball, doing team yoga etc. There is plenty of space to do whatever you want, plenty of gift shops, restaurants etc. You can also walk until Santa Monica pier since it is only 3 km away.

You would think a beach front Suite as described in their website and booking apps, would be an amazing and awesome experience. Not to mention its a BEACH FRONT SUITE that is said to be a luxurious vacation spot....is in fact a nightmare. They mention after the booking and payment, there is no AC whatsoever and mind you...there is no refund ! Every window which was alley accessible opened and did not lock or have screens on them(major safety issue). The homeless is terrible towards evening and we witnessed just outside the suite, a woman attacked by many homeless men and we were terrified. The hotel suggested we do not leave the building during the evening hours due to the dangers immediately upon arrival (not mentioned til payment taken and to late to back out.)and this is not okay! During the early 🌅 morning and noon times, the beach is wonderful...which was the best part of our stay unfortunately. I highly recommend checking out the rooms or suites in Santa Monica 👌

If you are looking for a clean place to sleep in Venice, this is a good choice. It’s in a good locations, lots to do and see within walking distance. A ton of homeless people are lined up right outside but they keep to themselves for the most part. It’s like a ghost town when the sun goes down. I stayed here with my teen son and we tried to be back before dark. There is a bike rental shop a few buildings down so it was convenient to get bikes and ride down to the Santa Monica pier. There is no AC but there had two fans in the room. They had us on the first floor with windows opened upon our arrival. I didn’t feel safe being on first floor with windows open so I had maintenance come lock my windows. If you’d like windows open, probably best to request a room on 2nd floor or up. No frills, basic, outdated, hollow floors so you can hear people walking. It’s tolerable if you’re low maintenance. For the price and location it’s a good choice.

Such a cool spot! My husband and I loved staying here for our last night in town. The location is amazing and the room was more like what I would expect from an Airbnb than a hotel/suite. The parking is off site but is a nice walk back to the boardwalk/suite. The roof top deck was smaller than I had expected but was still the perfect place to eat dinner and watch the sunset over the ocean. For people looking for a very Venice style place to stay, this would be a GREAT option. There are quirks (old carpet, unkept chairs on the rooftop) and the building is very old, but all and all it is a very fun place to stay and definitely worth the money.

The hotel is very nice and clean and simple. Key card access for the front door, someone there always to help out, and a rooftop seating area you could have takeout at. Nice experience, but the location is not too nice. Its almost 2hrs by bus/metro to the city. At night, most things in the area are closed, it doesnt feel very safe - only a few passerbys around, some strangers shouting random things at you as you walk by, some homeless in the area. The experience at the hotel is nice though, and only a 5min walk to the nearest bus stop, and a bit longer for a metro station. If you are only there for the beach, then I think its a good choice for the money.

Its right off the beach w/ great sunrise/sunset views. Not new and fancy by any means but its not too bad for an old building. Super creepy elevator that fits the creepy oldness of the rest of the hotel. Price point is slightly above what its worth. No air-conditioning which didnt matter at night but in the daytime really sucked. Each hallway has access to a fire escape that is totally unsafe. The doors are always open to the fire escape and there are no signs letting people know to be careful. Very dangerous. But it no worse that all the crazies that are always right outside. At least you need a room key to get in the main floor doors.

I stayed 2 nights at the Venice Suites and I had a kick a$$ time..., staff are super friendly and informative. Sergio who checked me in was awesome . The room was like a studio like apartment in a very old building late 19th century early 20th century. No sign of any ghost.. Very clean and very bright. I had the partial ocean view room. there homeless in the area. Ignore them. Theyre humans not the plague. If you do happen to have a car, parking will be difficult. But there are lot of places to go eat and plenty of bikes and scooters to rent.

We stayed two nights with an ocean view room, and quite enjoyed ourselves. The view is wonderful, the rooftop lounge is great for relaxing or grilling, and the rooms themselves are clean and well maintained. The small kitchen has the equipment needed to prepare meals if you dont want to eat out, and the suite comfortably accomadated the four of is who stayed. Parking was included, though not immediately convenient as it is a few blocks away. I would gladly stay here again next time Im at Venice Beach.

We stayed at Venice Suites for 5 days. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the view to the beach was awesome. We did have a few issues. I am disabled and had my 18 month old granddaughter with me. We were on the 2nd floor and since the elevators were out of order, I was forced to walk the stairs, which was painful. The terrace on the roof gave amazing views, but I was only able to go once since it hurt to much to walk 5 flights of stairs. They also did not mention that you have to pay for parking at $10 a day over three blocks away. Had it not been for my daughter and son-in-law, I would not have been able to stay there as I would not have been able to walk each day too and from my car, a half a mile away. The bathtub was extremely slippery and not what I expected since they advertised images showed walk in showers. Also, the dresser in our room fell apart, though they came quickly to repair it. During our second night, the window fell out and we were forced to have a gaping opening during the rain, until the next morning when they came to fix it. For these inconveniences, they competed us a might and the $50 parking fee. If it wasnt for the location and the amazing staff, and the overall feel of this location, I would not give it a good review, the the room was nice and spacious, the view was spectacular and once again, the staff were fantastic. Also, I loved that I could walk outside and be on the beach. To fall asleep to the sou d of the waves was worth it!

Fantastic location right at Venice Beach. I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite at no charge. Nicely furnished apartment. The roof terrace alone is pretty much worth staying here.Parking is difficult - even if you only want to unload baggage. If your staying with a car, youll have to get a space in a garage about two blocks away.

Literally the worst stay i ever had. Would not recommend this place. We arrived at night there are so many homeless people this area you dont feel safe at all and also not clean. The bed sheet is dirty and also there is one hair I believe from previous customer hang on my shower head. At night when i try to sleep i can literally hear snoring from other room. I am not happy at all with $200/night this price to get this quality of staying

Very close to the beach. But there was hair on all my towels, 2 of the 4 pillowcases, in the sheets, on the toilet, and on the wall. 2 towels had mystery stains. The adjacent parking lot was noisy at night, but of course this is not the hotels fault. Staff members were very nice, and price was good. If not for the gross hair issue I would happily come back. But it made me wish I hadnt prepaid my whole stay.

The hotel is adorable and the staff are very nice and helpful. Its right on the boardwalk and theres lots to do in the area. The rooms are like a bachelor apartment as they have a small stove and fridge. Very clean and comfortable. The guests directly above us are really enjoying themselves and are obviously a very happy couple as they woke me up twice last night with their very loud love making. Which taught me the beds squeak. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Homeless people are laid out all day and night. So you cant look at the ocean or go outside, without seeing the homeless and their tents. It smells like urine outside.The building smells like its never had the carpet change and looks like it as well. You have to park far away about 10 - 15 minutes. The room was not worth what we paid.

Well, this ones not easy. The Hotel itself desperately needs refurbishment. The apartments, the carpets outside the rooms, the heating, the bathroom. Everything is way after its Best Before Date. But in the other hand, this Hotel is a very accurate reflection of Venice itself. The people are lovely and nice. They care for each other. There is a cheap place to park the car 2 blocks away. Golds Gym is in walkable distance. E-Scooters are everywhere. I liked it there. They definitely met none of my personal hotelstandards, but I REALLY liked it there. So much, that I will go there again, when I come back to Venice. And starting the morning with an unblocked view over Venice Beach is priceless.

A little expensive, but competitive with the area, amazing size rooms. These were once apartments so they’re large, have living room, kitchens fully stocked with dishes and silverware, dinner table and chairs, bathroom and bedrooms. Updated and beautiful, simple decorations. Elevator was broken. But the wall to the rooftop was worth it, great location, and very clean, some hair in the bathroom but overall very happy. Will stay here again. Parking is off site but in a structure close by.

Beautiful place to stay at Venice Beach, directly across from the beach. The views from the roof are amazing, especially at sunset and sunrise. Theres a commnal grill and plenty of seating on the rooftop to entertain guests or throw parties (small parties). My only complaint is that parking is a ways away, and the only way to load and unload is in a tight alley behind the building. Also, if youre staying on a weekend, it can get a little loud at night. But thats too be expected.

This hotel was clean and gave a beautiful outlook onto venice beach from the roof. We stayed in one of their smaller suites on the fourth floor and it was everything and more then what we expected. They even had a cold beach towels to use in the closet. Definitely will stay again if visiting L.A. I only had one issue and that was the noise from the alley and some ear plugs could have fixed that!

The place is very well located directly at the Venice Beach. Nevertheless this is also quiet annoying at night, as you hear everything and my girlfriend couldn‘t sleep well. The rooms are really big and good equipped but it could be more well-kept. The view from the rooftop is also really good and you should go upstairs if you are staying here.

Complementary free parking.Dont expect to get quality sleep: pillows are uncomfortable, the refrigerator very loud and the area is noisy at night. Complementary parking is 5 minutes away but you can park next to the apartments for loading and unloading.

The place is right on the beach walkway.The room was clean, and spacious.The staff isnt the best thing in the world but they are okay. However you wont see them as they are only there from 8am-8pm.After saying all of that, I given it a two stars only for the below points;- parking garage is about 7 min walking- Elevator is too small- You can hear everyone on the street and hallway. There is every kind of noise you can imagine (plains, motorcycles, people yelling...etc.)

First timers, and loved it. Booked via their website, and interfaced with staff via email and phone. I knew what to expect, and all was great. Used their parking that is a 8 to 10 minute walk, and no problems since parking is a premium. Used their surf board they had, and the Venice Boardwalk Bike rental gives you a 10% discount on all rentals. Great location for relaxed fun, and not as loud and busy.

Very convenient place to stay - boardwalk is right there and there are restaurants, little stores and the town is within walking distance. Theres also an open air roof patio. Definitely reccomend it! Only downfall is having to park 2 blocks away.

The staff here are absolutely lovely. The man who checked me in sat me down and took the time to explain the area and how to get around. He later printed off my boarding pass for my flight home. I was doing my laundry on my last night and the machine had run out of soap so a lady in the office gave me some from the office with no charge. They felt like people you could rely on and it was a warm welcoming atmosphere in general. Id stay here again, no question.

Stayed here the weekend of the LA Fit expo, it was best choice I ever made. It was my first time in Venice being able to walk up and down the boardwalk and wake up to the sight of the ocean was great.We had a suit on 3rd floor with ocean view. The rooftop balcony was great.The owners take care of their guest very well. I recommend staying here. I plan to go back soon.

During a summer vacation in LA, I decided to try out staying at a vacation rental, the Venice Suites. The company owns other properties along the beach, and all were almost booked, so I was lucky to get in. Next time, Ill make future reservations very early so I dont risk missing this rental. The manager, Randy, was very nice, worked via email and phone with me, and was very organized and timely with responses and information. The rates were fair for the spacious suite and amazing location. Walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and convenience stores. Be prepared for your cell service to be unavailable, but dont fret because calls nationwide were free and so is the wifi, which had good connectivity. Dont miss out on the best thing: the rooftop view of the beach! I plan to stay here again and highly recommend it.

Please do not patronize businesses that treat the disabled like dirt.I booked a room advertised as fully wheelchair accessible and ground level, the management called me a liar, and I had to be on the phone for 2 hours with Priceline just to get it confirmed that yes, the property manager here is deceitful and has scammed me out of my deposit, and tried to scam me out of a lot more. They offered to switch me to another property they claimed was accessible at the Suites, but as I was packed and in the car I was unable to do adequate research on whether my extreme, but not at all contagious, condition could be accommodated there. I deeply regret believing this was an honest hotel run by halfway decent people; please dont give your business to people who think that abusing the disabled is a great and easy way to steal a hundred bucks. I believe I will eventually probably get this back, but I wont get the hours i spent in frustration trying to get this resolved, nor will i be compensated for being forced to take a last minute hotel.Please, if you can, let them know that it is not okay to treat anyone this way, let alone someone in a wheelchair for reasons of serious disability.

I really want to, but ultimately I cant recommend this hotel. Ill give you my Pros and Cons and decide for yourself.PROS:-Staff is really friendly-Fantastic location. You walk outside and there is the beach.-Rooftop to hang outCONS:-Very noisy. Outside noise is to be expected but its such an old building that anyone in rooms above you sound like they are wearing 2x4s as shoes while dancing an Irish jig on St Paddys day. And they are not sober so expect syncopation.-The mattress is awful. Its a mattress in a bag type and destroyed my back. We were in 4 hotels in the previous week with no issues.Ultimately, I received little sleep and my back hurts. Unless you are into that, look elsewhere.

I like this place, and its sister property Venice Breeze Suites, a lot, keep coming back, six times now. This time I rented five rooms, for myself and others. Rooms are good, clean, refurbished. Hallway carpets are frayed, but otherwise no complaints. Right on the beach.

So let me start, it is cheaper than most hotels that is by the beach but... there was no ac in my room. At night it’s very dangerous because of the homeless that surrounds the hotel. It’s REALLY BAD. Very bad. Beware of the $40 parking that’s right next to the hotel. I honestly would recommend everyone to pay a little bit more for a different hotel.

I’m disabled and they told me I could definitely use the same disabled parking spot I used on a previous visit. My boyfriend is recovering from pneumonia and I called to ask if we could get help up and down the stairs with our luggage. They said no problem. The first day went fine, then we left only to find our spot gone. Next day the manager told us first come, first served. He told me to talk to someone at the building next door about parking! They charged us $90 cash for 3 nights! And parking still wasn’t guaranteed so we ended up using Uber, once again more $$$$$$. We got no help leaving so their word is worthless. Next time I’ll get it in an email. But there’s no next time for here.

Its was ok. We didnt know that a.c. isnt a normal thing here. We visited from Texas. We like our a.c. so we had to go buy portable a.c. unit to get thru the 5 days we were booked there... also the people above us were running a marathon all night back and forth. Ive stayed here and at the Venice Beach Suites & Hotel which is a half mile south down the beach. The latter is significantly better furnished, feels cleaner and better decorated. I think they make more money off cancelations than they do actual booking. When Carl owned the building it was a great place with randy running it I use to stay for 3 months at a time the rooftop is awesome can cook lounge and meet people I met Ron Perlman on the roof All I know is when it sold the rooms went from a 100 a night to 300 and for that kind of money it takes the greatness out the one bedroom we’re 200 a night then, Now $$$$$ I stayed in room 46 always because it haunted and the ghost well we got to know each other . The ghost in the room jumped of building some years ago and he stayed in that room . If you don’t like weird experiences don’t stay in it but he harmless and all my friends who stayed there also experiences it . When I asked management about the things happing in my room they gave me the low down . I was there the summer EVO painted the building mural . He lived in building for months what a great time he was his parties on roof were epic

Our stay at Venice Suites was wonderful! We stayed in a studio on the 4th floor and were exceptionally happy with our choice. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, and we were lulled to sleep by sounds of the ocean. The deck on the roof top was also fabulous. When we were not on the beach, which is literally 5 steps from Venice Suites, we spent time on the deck; it has an unbeatable view. The roof top accommodations, e.g., the furniture and loungers, made spending time there just plain awesome. We also found Venice Suites to be centrally located on the boardwalk so that we could easily walk to the Sidewalk Cafe for lunch, to Whole Foods to grab snacks and wine, or to the Library Alehouse for some great craft beers, but probably the biggest draw for us was that we were on the beach in seconds. It was beautiful. We are already planning our next trip to Venice and there is no question we will stay at Venice Suites.

I arrived at Venice Suites in the evening of 30. Mars 2016. And I was met by this employee at the door. Later that evening I discovered that I not could call home or send sms`es with my mobilphone ( and I had not brought with me pc either).The next days I tried small attempts in the reception to receive help to send e-mail to family to tell them I was ok, and also to order a taxi, but I was met with unwillingness by this employee.He seemed to be one of the leading people at the hotel; maybe one of the managers. He was muscular, small, short-haired; looked a bit threatening - and he looked like an ex. veteran American-soldier.He should never been in the service-business!He now seemed to prefer easy, comfortable working days; to sit in front of the pc, and surf on the internet all the working-day, and not help troubled hotel-guests.I was in the other end of earth; I come from Scandinavia - and I felt a bit of insecurity. It felt complete wrong that the hotel I stayed at not could help me with these things.Luckily I found a hotel nearby which helped me to send e-mails home, and to call a taxi. They were really helping angels!This can not really be tolerated! When you pay almos 200 dollars a day for the hotel-room, you can not behave like this. I feel that my stay at Venice Suites was a bad experience, much because of this employee.Maybe the other Venice Suites-employees were ok - but I always come in contact with him.I might could have give 4 stars to the hotel - but because of this person you can see where it lands.On the other hand, I liked Venice and Los Angeles, and I think I soon will come back, but then I stay at another hotel.Ole Sylvester Larsen

If you are staying in LA and want to be in the area of Venice Beach or use that as your launching point for your time in LA - I highly recommend the VENICE SUITES.There are just far too many advantages to it that all add up to a great value and experience overall.1. youre RIGHT on Venice Beach! (but you are just on the outskirts of the busy areas so you have some semblance of privacy and quiet - but close enough to be in back in the buzz within a few steps).2. you have a complimentary parking spot IN A SECURITY GARAGE! (this is a rare find @ venice beach!)3. the building is actually an apartment building and not a hotel - so you are actually renting a small apartment which is fantastic for many reasons. Its more practical/functional then a hotel rm, as well my lady and I loved feeling like we were actual locals while staying there rather than tourists. It added to the experience immensely!4. incredible rooftop deck with gas range, sitting areas and lawn chairs. My lady and I decided to grocery shop and make dinner (again.. the small apartment thing vs hotel rm ~ we had full kitchen, dishes, coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer at our disposal!) and head on up to the rooftop to have dinner during sunset overlooking venice beach (and quiet, but near the buzz), and included an iPad Netflix movie night while on the rooftop deck. simply.. MAGNIFICENT!!!!!5. Steps away from cafes, bars, etc. if you want to go that route.6. VALUE! Of the places I priced out (even at Venice Beach) - Venice Suites was VERY COMPETITIVE in price (Randy! dont you dare raise the prices on my next stay because i said that! :) ).7. Lastly.. Randy is fantastic and was great to work with. He is local in the office throughout the day if you need anything. And he supplies so much to help make your stay and your explorations in LA easy. he had guides and info sheets galore to tell you who delivers to the building if you want to order food delivery, etc.And all with a little personality (the old-time elevator, the fun lock boxes with special dials (that I ended up not being able to solve, but Randy walked by just as we checked in and did it for us.. still a fun EXPERIENCE just to check in!)We stayed in the studio apt (which is still better and more functional than a hotel/motel rm) but there are options to get 1br or more as well. This can even be vacation or long-term renting if you are doing business in teh area for a week or longer.Well done Randy. Thanks so much for such a terrific vacation and letting us stay at your establishment. We cant recommend it enough!
