My cat wick has been to TLC VCA 4 times in the last month and was desperately sick. He’s currently happy, cozy and sitting on my lap. I’m incredibly grateful to have more time with him. From the team at the front desk to Dr. Davis, Grace (yes Grace, wicky was a hot mess express but a hot mess with hope thanks to you all) & to the incredibly clever and caring Dr. Barnes - everyone at TLC VCA have been wonderful. I’m glad to know exactly where to go in tough times but am hopeful I won’t be back anytime super soon. Thanks team 😻

Ive been bringing my dogs to them for years. In December 2022, I brought my golden retriever to them for distended abdomen, and found out that she has liver failure. I was told to either bring her to another hospital for higher level of care or euthanize her. Since shes still very active, still eating and playing, I decided to just bring her home and sustain her until she becomes uncomfortable.... then well go for euthanasia. In February 2023, we saw Dr Wong for another abdominal tap (to remove the fluid from her abdomen), and Dr Wong understood my stand to just keeping her comfortable until shes not anymore..... and since then weve been coming every 1-2 months for the abdominal tap, but Dr Wong didnt stop his care there.... hes given me recommendations on meds and food that I can give her to support her liver disease. Now, its been over a year since she was diagnosed with liver failure and was advised euthanasia... shes still alive, thriving, and happy dog. Dr Wong is the best!!! Very compassionate and explains everything in detail.

I just had to post a quick review about this veterinary hospital. Last week I was very stressed because my dog was not feeling well and no clinics were taking any more patients. I called this clinic very upset and I talked to a wonderful man named Mitch who not only listened kindly but was exceptionally patient and even helped me to calm down. I cannot express how grateful I am for his kindness and for the time that he gave me! Mitch deserves a raise and I am so grateful for all his kindness! In the end my sweet boy ended up being okay but his voice across the line that was so kind helped immensely!!

I am a first time dog owner and adopted my pup during covid. With everything being closed, it was extremely challenging to find a vet, ask questions, or navigate the needs of a 95lb German Shepard.I had 2 incidents where I was terrified my pup was going to die. The first was in 2021. I took my pup to the emergency care here and was initially shocked by the kindness and patience they had with me. I had so many questions! My pup was better within a few days of visiting. While the costs for the medical treatment he needed were pretty steep, they walked me through the worst case scenario. All charges were consistent.Recently I had to take my pup back and had a similarly excellent experience (in light of how sick my dog was.) Dr Jenny Nguyen was so kind to us and treated my large baby with compassion. She gave great directions, and I was able to treat him at home with her help! It’s been 3 days and he’s feeling much better. We look forward to going here for his yearly checkups!Thanks again!!

I do not recommend anyone taking their dog here for an emergency I had a horrible experience where I taking my dog to see my vet first thing in the morning and was told to get her to an emergency hospital I called several hospitals and got their answering machines and when I got ahold of VCA they said come on in youll have a wait but shell be seen.Well I was there for 5 and 1/2 hours still hadnt been seen we were seen by vet tech in the lobby 2 hours in who told me well if your dog has a serious problem shell need surgery and its going to cost about $5000or $6,000, very unprofessional especially from a vet tech I asked well it can she be seen can anybody see her soon and he said yes you have one dog ahead of you well several hours later still hadnt been seen finally got a hold of my animal emergency hospital and they said we can get her set for surgery the next day Will charge $1,600, well by then she was so septic the next morning I had to have her put down .I guess my dog wasnt that big of an emergency to them for waiting five and a half hours and she was very septic and maybe something could have been done!

CAUTION: Be weary of taking your pets here, especially if you have a cat!! I wish I could put zero stars.Waited over 4 hours only to find that there had been a mix up and my cat had not been added to the list. They must be speciesist and HATE cats because everyone with a dog that came looong after me was taken in in a timely manner. After clearing up the mix up, they still told me I had to wait about another hour, which turned into two. Spent the whole day trying to get my cat treatment. I only stayed because they kept giving me the false hope that my cat would be seen shortly. They will make your pets suffer! Where is your compassion? Fake animal lovers.The caution tape should have been a forewarning.

I am humbled by the level of compassion and humanity shown to us and our dog. Dr. Davis is simply the embodiment of kindness. She treated our dog with love, communicated her condition & treatment plan, and she was honest about her prognosis. Dr. Davis took a traumatic experience and guided us through it like family. I took an injured feral cat in, very old and thin, that I had been feeding. It can’t be touched at all, so any treatment was out of the question and best for the cat was euthanasia. They insisted on an exam, blood work, and X-rays, with an estimate of $1000. I only talked to a vet tech, a vet wouldn’t talk to me. I’m elderly and explained that I could barely afford cat food for the 6 homeless cats I take care of, but they wouldn’t budge. I was a regular client there with my indoor cats, but no more. Clearly all that matters is their fee structure with absolutely no flexibility. No more VCA for me.

TLC was the name of this vet clinic. Ive been with them for more than 10 years. Its been a good experience. At times excellent and at times very good and good. Ive loved the doctors I dealt with there and part of the reason I still continue with them is my favorite doc. I think its important for companies to realize that the bond between a client and doctor is so important even in vet care. VCA needs to stop raising their prices, every blink I do price goes up.

Weve been coming to TLC for 25 years - 3 pair of dogs & 4 cats. Theyve given us remarkable recoveries and helped through the painful end of life time. We like all their doctors, the vet techs and the front office staff. They have always laid out all of our options - from wait-and-see to more aggressive treatment options and have helped us understand the benefits and risks. Our Cami - who has Addisons Disease - is now thriving due to their excellent care during her crash and subsequent hospital care. We are truly grateful to TLC.

I made the tough decision to put my dog down after being seen by her vet a couple times they suggested this clinic. The first tech I talked to was very sympatric but then the second one came in and suggested I take me pet home and see her own vet because the TLC services were more expensive. Now Im not sure she thought that out but telling me to take my dog home in the state she was in and wait for another appointment with its regular vet seems a bit rude.

I was not able to get an appointment with his regular Dr! So, I brought him here. They did an assessment and they could have charged me but they did not. I appreciate them for being honest. They referred me to some other hospitals for my dogs needs. Unfortunately, he did not make it. I had to have him euthanized. But he will 4ever be in my heart❤

WORST VET EXPERIENCE.Here is why:Came in at 10am, left at 2pm after finally getting a quote of $1600 to $2300 when all I asked for were for x-rays and blood work. In those 4 hours I did the same assessment 3 times, one of those being to the actual Dr who apparently didnt get the 2 first. Dr Nguyen seemed completely clueless of what could possibly be happening with my cat, suggesting checking on his kidney stones while doing x-rays while I m explaining to her he has been cleared of those since 2019 and isnt showing any symptoms about that. I was bringing him in for a cough... I dont believe kidney stones ride all the way up to the throat.So basically during those 4 hours my cat was put somewhere in the back for 2hours while I waited in the front room (while they told me on phone i could be with him during exam). Then someone asked me for the same question and scanning his medical folder (that was already done 2hours earlier). Then an hour after I finally saw the Dr who told me a technician would be right with me with the quote. This took 1 more hour (and 10 minutes to be precise). Obviously by that time I was seriously annoyed so when they came up with that ridiculous pricing I checked out.Cost me $165, a half day of work and my cat meowing was heartbreaking as he barely had any voice left. All for nothing.Might be great with dogs (who kept coming and going), but dont take your kitty there.Ps: please at least swipe your exam room if youre gonna make me wait in there forever.😖

Id like to say a big thank you to Dr. Wong and Dr. Barnes for their care of my dog, Maverick (7YO golden retriever). I took him in on a Saturday because I was worried about his airway. Separate from his airway, Dr. Wong found a foxtail in his back leg. He did surgery and removed it. We were back on Tuesday for Dr. Barnes to assess the breathing (by that time Id taken a video and shared it w the hospital). Dr. Barnes was absolutely super. He explained what he observed and recommended in a very clear and thoughtful way. We went ahead and he performed a rhinoscopy that very day, Tuesday. Dr. Barnes removed an 8 long piece of grass from my dogs nose. I am grateful to all of the staff and doctors at VCA who provided excellent care 2x over one week.

Be very wary of this hospital. I regret having gone here. It was July 4th and my senior cat needed emergency treatment. The treatment required a sedated grooming which they performed. He came home COVERED in scabs in the area they groomed. I was advised by another vet (not from this hospital) that sometimes it happens when the tech is careless or grooming tools old. The doctors notes made no mention of the fact they had hurt my cat. I was going to just let it heal and hope for the best. But 2 weeks later 2 of the areas turned into abscesses because they probably hadnt even been disinfected. So another emergency visit (to a different hospital), a surgery, multiple follow ups, 2 weeks on very strong antibiotics with the resulting stomach distress (that even now is not resolved), total stress and huge additional expenses (over $2000) later, the VCA TLC hospital manager is offering to refund me $139 from my original visit cost (approx $500). This is after their doctor, Dr. Wong, apologized for their mistakes treating my cat and the problems caused and offered compensation (they even sent me a photo documenting the lacerations later treated by second hospital). That the hospital manager Carmen now has the nerve to deny their responsibility and offer $139 is a complete joke. I am only making this public now because I sincerely hope other people do not go through what we went through. If we had gone to a more competent hospital to start with all of the additional trouble, stress (trauma for the cat) and expense could have been spared. Just keep looking and dont settle for this place because it seems convenient.

Brought my puppy here after hours and my dog had eaten some kids meds.The staff was so calm and friendly. Dr. Wong sent me on my way and did NOT charge me after they realized he was fine for what he had ingested.Thank you staff!!!

My dog broke a nail and she was in pain so I took her in on a Thursday at 6:30 am. They told me it would be a 2hr wait, but I waited around 45 mins or so. They treated her nail, wrapped her paw and gave her antibiotics/painkillers. The bill was high, but it is expected at an ER visit. She was discharged around 9:40am. The staff was nice and attentive. The one star stems from a mistake they made that would have cost me another ER visit and a few hundred dollars. They forgot to cone her. As a pet parent and the first time this type of injury has happened to my dog I didn’t know she had to be coned. So I went home thinking everything is okay, 2 days later the gauze is gone and I have to go to the ER again. Thankfully, the nail looked good and the tech just coned her. I went home and looked at the bill and they had charged me for the cone. A small mistake like this only makes me wonder if they’ll miss other things as they treat my dog in the future. This mistake could have easily cost me another few hundred dollars in treatment and threatened my dog’s life. If you’re reading this, I recommend going somewhere else. Drive the extra hour.

I have brought my cat here for 10 years. They are amazing and very thorough. Everything from bitty kittens to my 17 year old. Im moving and sad to leave them but they are definitely the best. Every vet has been great and all the techs and front office are so nice. The fact they are 24/7 has always made me feel so comfortable leaving my cats if I needed to overnight and the late night emergency services have come in handy a few times. Thanks to everyone here for all the love youve given my kiddos ❤️

My small dog was viciously attacked by a pit bull, his neck was bleeding and swollen. I rushed him over to VCA, I was warned that emergency’s are seen first. The vet tech took one look at my dog and took him back right away. I was informed of the pricing and procedures before they did anything, It was expensive, but they took really good care of my dog and at the end that’s all that matters. He was sent home with pain meds and stitches. We were told we were really lucky the pit bull missed the artery, because it would of been a whole different story. Overall this place was great, Im glad I made the right decision to bring him.

Our 2 1/2 year old lab mix tore his ACL...who knew?! Dr. Little and the staff at VCA have been exceptional. Dr. Little is a thorough and amazingly competent practitioner while also being authentically compassionate. The staff is polite, helpful and also extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I would highly recommend the office and I would highly recommend Dr. Little for any surgical needs your pet may need.

This place is a complete rip off. My dog was experiencing diarrhea for 3 days - no other symptoms. They gave us zero insight as to why and handed us an estimate of $1600 to run 10-13 additional tests. The reason we came here is because it was open on a holiday but they are completely taking advantage of concerned pet owners. We ended up paying the standard $132 for them to see him and we didn’t get any info whatsoever.

Grateful for the women I spoke with on the phone when I was frantically trying to find a place to take my dog. She gave me basic advice and Recs which helped me sleep until I could take my pet in the next day. It’s impossible to get your pet seen in CA. There is a shortage of vets and most are price gauging. This place seems to have truly kind companionate people working the phones.

Got here at 9am and was told there would be a 2 hour wait. We talked with a vet tech and told him my cat seemed dehydrated and lethargic.A couple hours later we’re still waiting and are told it will be another 2 hours because the 2nd vet had car problems. Those hours go by and again we have to ask them for an update and they say another hour. We asked multiple times if it would be possible for us to go home since we live 5 minutes away to let my cat out of his carrier and get him something to eat and drink and they told us if we weren’t here they would skip us. We asked if they would call us since we gave them my number and they said yes but we would only have a 3 minute window to get back. This seems very unreasonable and since I had told them my cat wasn’t eating and drinking and seemed lethargic, if they actually cared for my animal’s well being I feel they would’ve been more reasonable about allowing us to leave / updating us on the wait time or at least offering us a water bowl.

We brought our dog here because she was vomiting all night. They told us there would be a 2 hour wait. After 2 hours they call us to ask us to leave our dog and pay a 300$ deposit. We told them we rather wait with the dog in the car instead of leaving her in a cage. They agreed. 2 hours later they came out to retrieve our dog. The man who picked her up told us it would be 15 mins and the dr will call us. 1 hour later we called to check and they told us our dog has not be seen and it would be another 4 hour wait ! At this point we have been there for 5 hours! My wife went inside to pick up our dog as we did not want her to wait in a cage and the front desk staff could not have been more rude. “SJ” at the front desk has no business being front of house for any business. There is zero communication about when your pet will be seen and when you reach out for answers they are extremely rude. I can only imagine the level of care they actually give your pet. DO NOT take your pet here. Literally go anywhere else.EDIT: they replied below telling me to email them. I have emailed them twice and they have not replied to me. Do not be fooled by their social media person replying to reviews. They don’t have your pets best interest in mind and it shows.

Our dog had emergency services provided by TLC our experience from beginning to end of the treatment was amazing! The doctors were fantastic and the staff was knowledgeable, professional and kind. I was impressed by the skill level of the doctors and the capability of the center itself. Our dogs surgery was successful and I highly recommend TLC medical center. They get crowded sometimes but for emergencies they move quickly and if you call to make appointments its pretty quick

This was my first time ever having an animal emergency, and I am so glad that I came here. My sweet Cat, Smaug, developed issues on Monday night and needed to been seen by a Vet ASAP. I called and the lovely woman at the front desk informed me it would be possibly a two to three hour wait. I said that was fine and headed down instantly. To my surprise it was not a 2 hour wait to be seen, and smaug was taken in within minutes. The entire time every member of the staff was polite, and communicated every step to me as things progressed. Smaug went from needing to stay overnight, to needing to stay for a few days, to being ready to go home a day early. They called me every time anything changed, as well as they called me once in the morning, and once at night to let me know how my baby was doing. When we picked him up they sent me home with food samples to find which food he likes before we commit to a prescription food. Everyone was so nice. And I am so thankful for that. I was so scared, and so worried, and they were all so calm and understanding. I will never forget that.The visit was expensive, but what hospital visit isnt? People in the reviews complain about the cost, but these are real medical professionals doing real medical procedures on our pets. When I took on the responsibility of owning a pet I took on the responsibility of possibly needing to pat for an emergency hospital visit. I sleep great at night knowing that while I will be paying of a credit card for a bit, my cat is safe and at home and that he got the best care that he could have gotten. I will always come back here, with no hesitation. Thank you all for taking such good care of Smaug.

Just great! We took our dog here on a Sunday for emergency care. They sent a vet our right away to triage him and we didnt have to wait long at all. The clinic was clean, all the staff was great, we loved the vet! So much that we are transferring our dogs records to them to see him regularly from now on. LOVED IT!

Excellent customer service and great first time experience! The ladies in the front so nice, and helpful along with the Tech. I had gotten my cat nurtured and somehow same day of surgery she managed to get her e-collar off! I had no idea what to do and how to get it back on?! Called another 24 hour vet place first and got turned down. Found this location, not to far from me and 24 hours! Explained my situation and they told me I could come right in for assistance. They were great showed me how to get the e-collar back on, talked to me more about my cats surgery gave great advice for post after care. The tech who placed the collar back on showed how if it should come off again how to get it back on. This was just such a great experience with them and I am forever great for their help, advice and kindness. The Tech that helped with the e-collar was great I wished I had gotten her name. She was awsome! They definitely have my business now. I will be returning due to them giving me ease in a bit of stressful moment. Thank you TLC Pet Medical Center! Excellent customer service!

Saved my dog’s life when more thanone coyote got to my dog. TLC were loving and awesome towards my pet and his family. I didn’t know if he would ever be the same loving fun pet after the horrible attack. Max came out of that through loving care and I only take Max there whenever needed. They are a little pricey but very professional and I trust them. They are not pushy. My dog is 15 years old now and is still running. He stop To rest more often but doesn’t take long to drop his toy at our feet. Lol

I cant express sufficiently how grateful we are that we went to TLC and got Dr Husky tonight. Our cat had severe bladder crystals and was really hurting on Friday so we took him to the VCA in Glendale where we have been before. They ended up charging us $1300+ in diagnostics but providing no treatment. It was a nightmare. When our poor cat was still really suffering on Sunday we took him to TLC. Although they were very (VERY) busy they treated us and our uncooperative cat with care! They gave a reasonable prognosis, thorough and empathetic treatment, and got our boy home to us before bedtime for a fraction of the price. We are absolutely stunned by the difference in care between this VCA hospital and the other. We will recommend this clinic and Dr Husky to anyone looking for a vet. All the gold stars for these people!!

I had a really scary emergency with my dog. She had to stay overnight to be monitored. The vet techs and the vet were extremely professional and caring. I love this Vet, they are my go too place in case of emergencies for my pet. I am always treated with respect and given the best treatment for my pet. If pricing is an issue their willing to look for alternative and economical solutions for you without breaking the bank. They also have beautiful cats always looking for new forever homes. I brought my cat, Pepino, in around 1:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 12th 2020. He was extremely sick & I was referred here by our normal vet because of his possible need for a transfusion. Sadly his tests came back positive for Feline Leukemia & due to the severity of his condition & how quickly he had declined it was advised that extensive treatment would only prolong his suffering. While our story does not have a happy ending I want to thank & commend all of the staff I encountered for their kindness & attentiveness in a difficult situation. When I got there several other people were arriving at the same time & not once did I see the front doors unattended by a staff member. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 precautions, nobody was allowed to go in with their pets, but instructions were clear & the staff were very sensitive to the difficulty of these circumstances. I had to wait in the car & communicate by phone for test results & estimates. The staff was very prompt in calling me & the vet I worked with (unfortunately I cannot remember her name) was so very empathetic & informative & gave me peace with a difficult decision. They brought Pep to the car so I could say goodbye & spend a few moments with him & I trust that my sweet boy was in loving hands when he crossed the rainbow bridge.

I am so impressed and grateful for this clinic. My 5lb yorkie was stung by a bee. Her normal emergency vet could not take her, which was really scary. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE FOR AN EMERGENCY! I was on hold for 10 minutes once selecting “emergency” telling me they would available to see my pet. They said the wait would be two hours. Once I drove down there, I was placed on a long wait again. By the time they answered, they said they were too full and no longer taking any pets! This all changed within 15 minutes. So horrible and frustrating! I had to drive to another pet emergency clinic. How can they put pets in need on hold for emergencies and then turn them away? No empathy and no service.

I understand that this office is an emergency room and they have urgent cases coming in, but I dont think its too much to ask for some honesty when it come to wait time. I originally showed up at 1:27 and called they said the wait was 5 hour, the receptionist suggested I call back in 2. Called back and said the wait was only 2 hours and it would be best to be in the area. Showed up around 3:30 and called, said we would be seen shortly, didnt get to do the initial intake info until a little after 5. Then after multiple calls inquiring about the wait time and being assured I was at the top of the list we did not get seen until after 9. I tried to stay calm and be understanding but after a point it gets to be extremely frustrating!! We did not get check out until 10pm and to top it off the badge came off with in minutes of being home!! I wish they would have said they were too busy with more pressing issues so I could have found a plan B. Instead of stringing me along and waiting past the point of no return.

Bring your credit card along with your sick pet. It cost $135.00 to bring my dog inside their office before 9AM on a Thurs. Staff do their job, but nothing more. Empathy is not an attribute of employees at this facility. However, they are versed in reciting a fee schedule and asking how youd like to pay. It would be nice if the word care was used more than the word quote when speaking with anyone in the office. From what I could tell the care was sufficient to not have my dog die, but they had no idea what was wrong.

Our senior cat took a sudden downturn on a Saturday morning. I called TEN vets in Pasadena and Eagle Rock (for a total of three E.R.s) and not one would see us. This vet not only saw us but did an ultrasound at no additional cost to see what was wrong. We had to put Shorty, our cat, to sleep, but I was very grateful and impressed with how quickly we were seen (that we were seen AT ALL) and the staff didnt hurry us and allowed us to say goodbye. The price was a little higher then the e.r. I normally go to, but i was able to be with my cat as she went to sleep and the other e.r. still doesnt allow that.

Brought my 15yr.old Chihuahua his name was Gingy. He coded within 10min of arriving. He was very sick staff were very professional and caring they did everything they could to save Gingy. They stabilized him and kept him comfortable all night and into the next day they told me he had so many things going on and at his age it just was too much for him. My boyfriend and I had to make the most heartbreaking decision to let him go they made the process a lot easier (as easy as it can get) we spent about an hour with him in a private room where we could say goodbye to our son. It was expensive but worth every penny because I had the chance to say goodbye and I know I and the staff did everything they could to help him.

Been waiting for our 6months old puppy to be seen by the Vet after being promised 30minutes to an hour wait for SOB (short of breath). After over 3 hours waiting and still not seen and still not able to give the time when they can actually attend to our sick puppy. I called to discuss since a simple nail clipping was $19 plus an additional $13.00 for the technicians time to do the nail clipping. Took my cat in earlier this year. The doctor was very unfriendly and condescending. My cat had stroke like symptoms and when I asked if he has a stroke she condescendingly said that cats dont have strokes. But I took him to a neurologist larer that week who said they can have strokes. She also refused to let me in the room when he was being examined. I prefer to be there so my cat can be less stressed. My corgie became very ill with digestive issues. With major diarrhea and blood from the stool, I immediately took him to the emergency late at night and was treated for gastrointestinal issue. He stayed 4 days in the hospital and has been doing well with the Hills dry and wet food ever since. Regular dog food has too many preservatives which kills the gut bio. Since this is prescription we are going to introduce Dr. Marty raw dry food to the diet and eventually replace. Doctors and staff were wonderful and the doctor told me and wife that our little soldier could of died and was very dehydrated. Thank you for saving his life.

I took my cat to TLC because one of his pupils was extremely dilated and not responding to light. It was the weekend and my regular vet was not available. The vet (whom I never met) examined my cat and sent the nurse out to tell me that I do not need to worry and that the vets cat had a similar occurrence. They were very nice and did not charge me for the visit. I left very relieved, but about 5 days later when my cats pupil was still dilated, I decided that TLCs explanation was inadequate so I scheduled an appointment with my vet. Two days before my appt, again at a time when my regular vets office was closed, my cat went totally blind in both eyes and i had to take him to another emergency vet and then to an ophthalmologist. In the end, about two-and-a-half weeks following my visit to TLC I had to euthanize my sweet baby cat. I am devastated at the loss and I am left to wonder if his death could have been prevented had TLC not been so casual about his condition. I have an autopsy pending and I hope that I dont find out his condition would have been treatable.

I came here because something horrible happened to my best friend and she wasnt eating no more. I asked for a doctors advice, and I can tell that she can relate. When the time came, i had put her down because of complications. They helped me cope and were very understanding. They kept my baby there until someone came to take her to her special place. They even made a clay paw print for me. Then a week later, I got a letter from them that was very heart warming. I took my dog there for emergency and was so sad and dissapointed here. They wanted $750 up front and later they want $940 additional to run test and diagnosis. After paying all that money I was told by the Dr that she doesnt know whats wrong with the dog. The Dr recommended for me to bring my dog to a neurologist to get diagnosis. After paying them almost $1900 with no treatment and no diagnosis, I cant afford to bring my dog to a neurologist for diagnosis. Dr recommonded me to have my dog put down. I just cant do that yet so I asked her to keep my dog over night to see if it gets any better. I asked to have my dog tube fed for the night. They told me its going to cost additional $2300 just to stay one night with tube feed. Omg really? For a dog that you cant save and want to charge me that much. I brought my dog to another hospital for IV and tube feed and the doctor is much more compassionate only $430 over night. TLC is so expensive and to charge $2300 over night care is crazy.

Ill begin by saying that my dog survived a coyote attack and is fine after being treated at TLC as an emergency patient. Im grateful for that, and I assume that he was well cared for. I was thoroughly turned off, however, by their mercenary attitude, which began when I walked through the door and continued until two weeks later when my dogs stitches were removed and we were free from TLCs greedy clutches. The moment I arrived, I was informed that it would cost $98 just to have him examined, an exam which lasted less than 60 seconds, long enough, apparently, for them to determine that I needed to pay an additional $750 up front for tests and bloodwork. After a 2-hour wait, I was given the final estimated bill of $2481.50. When I registered my shock at the astronomical cost, the attendant checked the bill and discovered Id been charged twice for the bloodwork, so something like $350 was removed from that initial total. I was told by the doctor that I should be able to bring my dog home the next day after hed been stitched up and that hed be bandaged, with drains exiting his body. When I called the next morning to ask when I could pick him up, they told me he was still groggy from the anaesthesia and that theyd like to keep him another 2 days (to the tune of $319 a day) until he was fully alert. I declined their kind offer and brought him home to be groggy in his own home, depriving them of another $600-plus of revenue. They had charged me $71 for the bandaging, but he was not bandaged when I picked him up. When I asked about it, I was told, indignantly, that he had been bandaged earlier, but that it had been removed to send him home. Really? I didnt believe it for a minute. After that there were a couple of other smaller charges, which may have been legitimate, but by then Id had it with their gouging and was in no mood to take out my wallet yet again. I got the strong sense that TLC counts on people being so desperate to have their beloved pets taken care of, theyll pay whatever they have to. Ill never return to TLC again, and if you go, remember to TLC . . . TAKE LOTS of CASH!!

My cat was having seizures and close to passing one morning so we took her in to be euthanized so she wouldnt suffer. When we walked in we explained that we didnt want her suffering and wanted a quick release however, they took so long to prep her and would not do anything until we paid upfront that when they finally brought her back and handed her to me she was nearly gone already! I thought she had passed and the doctor said, oh no shes still alive, do you still want me to inject her? After the first night stay here, I was already very heart broken because I could tell my baby was very sad and very depressed in the hospital. I noticed that his eyes were so wet and I could see they placed something on his eyes. Also, I noticed his upper eyelids extra tissue growth (it is like an extra small tissue tag) was removed. Coby had this extra growth on this eyelid for years... It didnt bother him and me, but I guess it really bother the Vet here!!! When I asked her (Dr. Mary Jo Howe), she just said that she easily removed it!!! I was too sad to talk about this issue with her, but I wasnt happy that she removed it WITHOUT MY CONSENT and it is not anything related to my babys kidneys!My friend asked me, Did they numb him when they did that or sedated him? They really shouldnt have done anything extra for a dog who is being so ill. Its just additional stress to him.Dr. Mary Jo Howe went on and recommended my baby to stay longer in the hospital and recommended X-rays of the kidneys and ultrasound of the kidneys, she also recommended Biospy!!! I understands that maybe it is very important for them to find out if there is any tumor in him and they wanted to make a diagnosis but they dont understand how stressful and painful for us to let our pet to stay at the hospital!!! Also, I really doubt that doing an invasive procedure like a biopsy of the kidney would change the management. They just wanted him to stay longer there!2) They took 3 radiographs (3 views) at the first night but to my surprise, they did not take any view of his kidneys!!! When I questioned them, they said they wanted to take more radiographs!! I have to tell you.. My baby is not a big dog! He is a 24lbs cocker spaniel!3) The staffs there dont really know what they are doing! I asked what types of meds are my baby on and I asked is my baby on diuretic? The staffs said antibiotics... I asked why antibiotics? Then she paused and said just many kinds of medications!I know that she doesnt know what she is doing!Please If you dont have the medical background, at least do not give your patients or clients wrong informations! It is very unprofessional!4) This is what a true animal lover who used to work in a Vet hospital wrote to us after she read Cobys lab work.The lab results do not look optimistic as the vet too has expressed. The uric and bun acids which are building up in his body, should start to cause pain around his limbs. The pain and failure to metabolise toxins will drive up blood pressure.I am so sorry, the family, must be heartbroken.In all honesty, if May is able to do SQ fluid under his neck, bring him home for a day to be around family, then perhaps contemplate if he should receive his angel wings - this loyal and long time companion deserves, with grace.TLC just dont have the love and dont understand what the Pet owner is facing! We decided to bring our baby home because his Creat value actually went back up to 7.3 from 6.6! MOTT, EVER. I went to pick up Golden and was bleeding profusely from her nose. The tech that had brought her out didnt even notice, or cared. Our Golden died in less than 24hrs from leaving there. She died from INTERNAL BLEEDING caused by the UNNECESSARY test performed by Dr. Mott.Today we buried our Golden with toys, treats, and her favorite teddy. I have a 9 yr old terrier mix with an enlarged heart along with damage to both valves. Her prognosis is not good but I have to say that Dr Yeo and all the staff at tlc have treated my dog with love and have been very helpful to me. We have been to many vets but tlc by far is the best. They have helped me understand what to expect and are there 24 hours aday if we need help. Im sure ive drove them crazy but they never show it. I trust the remainder of Matildas life in the hands of Dr yeo and her staff.I love that my dog isnt stressed when we enter the office and i always feel at ease handing my girl to the techs. Thanks to TLC and its wonderful staff my eldest cat FUZZ is still alive and bullying her siblings. She ingested a piece of foam which got lodged in-between her stomach and small intestine. She required surgery to get it removed. They took excellent care of her. I was able to visit her during her stay, they explained everything to me and showed me what they found. We came in to get medical expert opinions on our sick puppy dog. They were unable to tell for sure what cause the sickness (ok then). Then, they presented you with a list of up to 20 tests (each costs money) for you to decide, so that they could say you made the choices, not us, if you argue with them later on (because you spent thousands of $ and still did not know what happened to your dog).I found it so disturbing, because it was like you take your car to the shop and the technician asks you what parts do you want for you car - an engine or piece of window glass?

If I could give no stars at all I would. I m terribly angry and disappointed in this medical center because they are not responsible or thorough with their examinations. Now my family and I are suffering the consequences. 10 days ago my brother found a stray kitten. The kitten was in pretty bad shape and before taking it home, we took it to the TLC pet medical center at 7 PM to get it checked out. Understanding that it was considered emergency hours at the time, we consented to pay the $98 walk in fee. Someone took the kitten from us to the back while we waited for him to get examined. When we were finally called in, a doctor told us that he would need: deworming, eye medication to reduce swelling, antibiotics for respiratory infection, FIV test, advantage, eye staining, Advantage, and cat food. The doctor said to put Advantage on him and give him medication for his eyes and cold. Total cost was $313.79. We did everything she told us to do and gave the kitten a bath before introducing him to the rest of the family. The swelling of the eyes and sneezing did go away for the kitten after a few days but he continued to scratch and bite himself. After feeling itching myself, I took him to a vet closer to my house. When the vet saw him, he immediately told me that what the cat has is highly contagious and should be kept away from all animals and humans. I asked if it were fleas because we had applied Advantage for that. He tested him and said that it was not fleas but it was scabies. He told me that it could affect my family and suggested keeping it isolated or taking it to a shelter, but warning me that shelters will most likely put it down. I told him I took it to a vet before and they didn t say anything about this parasite. He was rather surprised. The kitten got a shot and will need another one in two weeks for treatment. Walk in fee was $35. It should have been protocol for a doctor to check for conditions like this especially with stray animals. I took the kitten to TLC because I was inexperience with cats and wanted to trust the expertise of trained professionals. They were careless to warn me of anything that could affect me or my family. I have bumps that cover my body and makes me itch day and night. I cannot go to work and am afraid to affect other people in this household. I hold TLC responsible for not thoroughly examining the kitten and putting my health at risk. They are careless, inconsiderate, and overpriced.

The Doctor would not come talk to us about the possible implications of the bunny not getting his antibiotics for the last 5 1/2 days. Bella has an autoimmune disease. We go to see Dr. Yau sometimes weekly and sometimes monthly. The staff is wonderful, they help me pick up Bella, because she wants to stay in the car. They call her by name. When she is finished with her tests, they bring her right out and know she belongs to me. They even carry her back out to the car. Dr. Yau has saved Bellas life. She is so kind to her. Dr. Yau knows that I am a very anxious pet owner, so I know that she rushes to post her blood test results. I appreciate all that they do to make our visits as anxiety free as possible... Thank you all so much.

Found a feral cat in my yard. Looked like it was hit by a car because both back legs and tail was not moving. Poor thing wont eat either. It was the middle of the night so Animal Control and the Shelters are closed. 24 Hour TLC (tender loving care?) said that they will not even see the animal without charging me. The poor thing just needs to be put out of its misery in my opinion, but now it has to prolong its misery until I can call animal services in the morning. All I can do now is try to comfort it as best as possible. Breaks my heart. I know its a business. I know that animal lives are not as precious to some. My hope was that TLC would at least take the animal in and put her to sleep to end her suffering. Just call animal control services is the only help I got.so sad

My dog Baymax was hit by a Car in May a day before Mother’s Day and we were so lucky that VCA /TLC number one it’s 24 hours open number 2 it’s very close to where we live and number 3 they took my dog right away and treated him so well I thought he’s dead when we brought him it’s just 30 minutes after he was hit by a car I don’t know the names of the Doctor and crew who were there that night I would like to thank them they were the first responders on our emergency my dog stayed and treated there and was in ICU for at least 4 days when he was discharged I took him for follow up checks 3-4 more times he’s completely recovered I don’t see anything that’s different from before he got hit by the car at first they said he had 3 skull fractures and his right eye might get blind they said he might have some neurological damage He also had a fracture on one of his ankle but he’s back to normal he had bandage on his foot and leg for maybe a month he was sent home with pain meds and anti inflammatory for his brain to prevent him from having seizures I continued giving those to him for a month and I followed what Dr Little told me, I am so Thankful and grateful first to God and second to them for giving my dog another chance to live, I love you guys and God Bless you Thank You 🙏
