Chad is the owner and did is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgable about the history of San Francisco and presents in such a fun way. We made several stops in order to get some pics and also stretch our legs. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants more than the open top, hop and off tour.

We absolutely loved the tour. Chad our guide and Harvey our bus were lovely! Chad was so friendly and informative. We got to see a lot of spots that we wouldnt have had a chance to check out otherwise. It was great to hear about SF from a locals perspective - and Chad is very much local, seeing as he happened to see and say hi to some people that he knows while we were on our tour. Well be recommending this tour to anyone we know whos coming to town.

Chad was an amazing tour guide. Gives you a great experience of the city along with a nice history lesson. Very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you have an unforgettable experience. Love that he even tells you where the good photo opportunities are and will even be the first to ask you if he can take some photos for you. I will definitely being going on one of his tours again next time I’m back in San Francisco. Highly recommend.

YES! I fully recommend this Vantigo tour!!! Wish I had done the tour years ago in fact. I am an SF resident and I took my 72 year old father on this tour with Chad last week. We had a blast - the way Chad’s storytelling highlighted some of the more colorful aspects of SF’s history, along with well-timed music and the best sights was truly masterful. He offered plenty of photo ops, and has a cooler with water if you get thirsty. His self-deprecating style of humor was a hit with me too. The day we went was pretty foggy, but it didn’t put a damper on our tour because of Chad’s fun, friendly, informative approach to his business. There are 7 seats in the 1971 VW bus so this is a pretty intimate tour. (We had only 4 of us which was perfect for me.) I also recommend bringing an extra layer or two. Some of the spots are pretty windy and it’s easy to feel the wind chill in SF.

What a wonderful up close and personal tour of San Francisco! Couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable, friendly, and funny tour guide than SF native, Chad. His stories about the history of the neighborhoods and sites were impressive and we learned so much. He maneuvered Harvey, the bus, through town with expertise and the music he played was spot on. Such a fun way to experience San Francisco.

Chad was truly the best tour guide I’ve had the pleasure of encountering! He took us to so many unique places; with the best views, accompanied by a wide array of fascinating tidbits about the city. Our group contained two elderly folks including one in their 90s. He was incredibly caring and made sure we didn’t lose out on any experiences or views while accommodating some of our groups mobility level. SUCH a good way to see the city of SF. Chad was a wonderful host and has a perfect mix of knowledge and experience that sets the scene as you go, delivered with a pitch-perfect playlist of tunes and props, and penny-dropping movie references. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see sights we would never have seen, covering an immense amount of ground in the available time.We did the morning tour the day after arrival, which acted as a good compass to guide us on what to do / where to go for the rest of our visit. The top tips for food and culture were also hugely appreciated.Wholeheartedly recommend this small business, which delivers city tours in abundance and style. So grateful we took up the recommendation from another customer!

Vantigo is simply a must-experience. Yes, it is a tour of all the top spots to check out in San Francisco – but it’s also a chance to experience them in a beautiful VW that is a timeless classic. AND then there’s Chad who is as knowledgeable as he is cool. Getting to learn not just the history from Chad, but the fun quirks that make San Francisco a treasure was a real treat. He really made our trip and experience in the city a memorable one. Lastly, and perhaps an underrated perk, Chad knew all the great places to take pictures and is a top-notch photographer, too. I could not suggest Vantigo Tours more!!
