Me and my Family had a great experience shopping for our latest vehicle. We collectively decided on the brand new 24 Kia Sorento. We love it so much. The experience was definitely enhanced by a very helpful salesman named Mr. Brandon Woods. He was very knowledgeable and super helpful with navigating us to make a decision. I recommend requesting Mr. Woods if you find yourself at Kia in Van Nuys, everything couldn’t have gone any better. Awesome place.

Charles Martinez helped us out today to get my mom a 2021 Lexus IS300, and we highly appreciate it. He tried to work with us every step of the way ranging from the credit check, test drive, etc.. My guy Ruben!! My wife and I were looking for an affordable upgrade that was both nice and didn’t hurt our pockets too much. We have a 2 month old and wanted n suv that made us feel secure. Ruben was incredibly pleasant and VERY helpful in this process. He was understanding of what we wanted and made it happen! Any questions we had he was quick to answer and find a solution for them. Very disappointed with this place. I have an urgent safety issue with the vehicle that I am leasing currently. ( The car overheats and stalls periodically and the check engine is on because of that issue.) When I called service to schedule an appointment to bring in the car for diagnosis, I was basically told that my car wont get touched until August. On top of that they dont offer loaners. So basically I have no choice in the matter because they are not willing to help. I drive my daughter around and her safety is my priority so the dealer not willing to help when I have warranty is making this into a scam for their existing customers. Thats not what I was told when the lease was signed and the so-called warranty was offered. Complete scam and disregard for peoples safety. Future buyers stay away from this place at all costs. You would rather get a used 2001 Toyota Camry that will be much safer, reliable and cheaper.

This is a review for their service department. Bought my used Soul in Glendale and was getting it serviced there. Had a bad experience and looked for dealerships nearby and saw this one in Van Nuys.Right as I pulled up I was greeted by a very friendly mechanic. My service advisor was Martha and let me say wow, she made me feel so comfortable and confident about getting my car serviced. Explained the process and there were no unnecessary add ons (that I always felt were pushed on me at the other dealership because Im a woman). I did need something other than an oil change but once again she let me know everything up front.I will definitely be back for all the service my baby will need because of the amazing impression made by not just Martha but the staff that also kept asking if we needed more snacks or water. Plus the fact that they offer a car wash after service is definitely appreciated :) the other dealership never did that. Thanks and look forward to my next oil change!

Initially, I did not have the best experience online, but Shayan and Russell came to the rescue, and I am leaving today with a 2023 Rio, super hard to come by, so very happy. They were very patient with me and informative and willing to negotiate to meet my budget. Would definitely come back to buy in the future but plan to stick with this CPO for a while.

Coming from a very far drive . 4 hours in total I called before I came into the Kia In Van Nuys . I expressed my concerns before making the long drive . I knew the drive would be worth it as soon as I talked to FAROOQ . He was extremely helpful and honest about my questions and was super nice & sweet !!!! All of the reviews are so great for this dealership, so I feel I need to share my experience so that people out there know that it’s not what these reviews make it seem to be. I have never written a negative review publicly, so this is not an attempt to drag the dealership at all. It’s just an honest account of my experience. Do not work with Jazmin. She lied to me in writing (I have all the texts) for two weeks and the night before I was supposed to pick up my car, she completely changed her tune. All of her reasoning was circular and made no sense, which just made it clear that she had been flat out lying to me, and made me believe there was a deal there for me that just simply did not exist. So don’t waste your time with Jazmin, so dishonest, or anyone else at this dealership. After I called her out, she stopped responding. Just not a good way to do business, and a complete waste of time. Save your self the mental headache and get your Kia somewhere else.

Had a great experience financing a Kia Forte 2024 GT-Line with JJ, he was very understanding, easy to work with, and was straight to the point when speaking about the car. Overall, he made the whole process extremely easy and problem / hassle free. I didnt feel like I wasted my time here as the entire process was seamless as he explained the process along the way. I went to Kia yesterday 5/13/2024, I was helped by 2 amazing men! The first one was Jonathon Juarez aka JJ, he was very helpful he made sure everything was crystal clear. He made the whole process comfortable and exciting. He was very understanding of my situation and tried his best to make sure I was in & out due to me bringing in my 2 year old daughter btw my daughter was obsessed with him. The second man that was very helpful and very kind was Eric from financing, he made sure I got a great deal, he went above and beyond! The whole signing process he made it stress free and thrilling. He hyped me up about getting a new car,& made sure that i understood my whole contract which was very nice. Lastly he got me a great deal with the GAP insurance, which was a plus! Don’t buy a used car from here because they’ll scam you. The Hyundai Elantra car we bought had a lot of problems, which had caused us to go back and forth for 2 months. There was also a scratch and we found out about it afterwards but we were told later by the manager that our sales rep (Levant) was supposed to tell us about that before purchasing.It’s best to take your time and not rush when making large purchases.And don’t trust them.If you’re a first time buyer trying to look for a car don’t come here.For used cars you will get scammed but for a new car you might be ok.—-Also, don’t buy their add ons. Just buy the car for the price it is and negotiate.

April 13, 2024 I bought a new Kia. Omar explained and demonstrated clearly to this boomer of no experience in Kia electronics. He does not hurry you. This is the favorite car of my life. It physically fits perfectly, has the best placed windows for unblocked views, most and best safety features! *Notice to all boomers-- see this car. *Omar made a simple picture of all electronic features. I just leased a brand new 2024 KIA EV9.I have 4 kids and back seatbelt isn’t workin.I called to schedule an appointment and pushed me till August.I’m not sure how could you deny a safety issue, actually a child safety issue another 6 weeks.Am I not supposed to enjoy my vehicle and drive knowing that my child isn’t safe in his own seat?I will never recommend KIA to anyone based on the type of answers I got from them.

12/10 INCREDIBLE SERVICE!!!I have owned a Nissan Altima for 11 years and she finally died on me. I knew it was coming, but thought I had a bit more time. I am a single mother and self-employed doing delivery services. My daughters school is a long commute daily. So I needed a new car and I needed one fast!! I did my research and knew I wanted a Kia.When I arrived at Kia Van Nuys I was immediately greeted by the receptionist and she very quickly brought over Charles to help me in my shopping. I had no idea how lucky I was to have Charles as my salesperson. He was so friendly right off the bat and offered waters, coffee, even a chai tea latte before we went to compare models.He showed me the model I was very interested in. He gave me a very thorough and efficient run down of all the features. Then after comparing a couple other models, I knew I wanted to test drive the Kia Sportage X Line so he grabbed the keys and we hit the road. He was so accommodating, helping show me the features first hand as we test drove. We laughed and had such a great joy ride around the area.After returning to the dealership, I let him know I was going to test drive at a couple other competing dealerships before I made my final decision. He shared his virtual business card with me and I said hopefully we will be back, well we definitely came back. I went to a few other competing dealerships so I could see in person the different models I had wanted to compare. The second we got to the next competing dealership, I felt immediately ready to go back to Charles at Kia. The competing dealership just didnt show me anywhere remotely the same attention or hospitality. I didnt get the inviting feeling or sales experience I had with Charles.So we drove right back to Charles at Kia Van Nuys and told him we were ready to talk numbers! He took customer service to a whole new level. I seriously could not be happier with my experience with Charles and the entire team. Everyone was so thorough, helpful, patient, and absolutely the kindest team around! The paperwork process was painless and quick. They were willing to work with me on numbers and we settled at a number I was very happy with!To take the experience even further, after shaking on our deal, myself and my partner got to hit the gong and Charles announced to the whole dealership a lovely announcement of congratulations! Then while I did the paperwork with the incredible manager, Charles took my new car to be detailed and washed. They filled the gas tank for me and made sure everything was perfect.And if that wasnt enough, after bringing my new baby around and giving me my keys, Charles brought out a huge red bow and took pictures for me and my partner to celebrate our new purchase! He sent a link with the absolute best photos and a video to commemorate the moment.The next day he was so accommodating with the drop off of my trade in. While we waited for a tow truck to take it off we chatted for 2 hours! The best part was that it felt like we had known Charles for years. It felt like chatting with a close friend, not a salesperson. The environment and team are just so inviting and there is zero intimidation factor. You really feel like family at Kia Van Nuys, and that is reflected tremendously in every staff member! We grabbed smoothies from a Maui Bros Smoothie truck, who visits this Kia dealership every Thursday. Which was just the icing on the cake after such a great purchasing process.Since leaving the lot with my new car Charles has been readily available to answer any question I have had. My car was vandalized. Thieves smashed a window and attempted to steal my car. I had LoJack on the car. They did not steal it, but did a lot of damage to the steering column as well as smashing a window. I brought it to Van Nuys Kia. My advisor tells me it cost $245.00 to examine the vehicle, and find out what was wrong so that they can fix it. My advisor texts me and, tells me its going to cost approximately 4500 dollars to fix. He doesnt tell me what specifically is wrong or how many hours in labor, nothing. He just says we can get it started immediately and financing was available. I was desperated and agreed. I was uneasy, so I went to the dealership to get the full details, but I was told they wouldnt be able to give me complete details until the job was done. That was strange, but, I went along with everything. I get the vehicle back, I didnt get a walk through of my car. It was dirty and I asked for it to be cleaned. I get it cleaned and leave. I wasnt happy with my experience. They fixed everything including the window that was broken into. I didnt go over the vehicle completely when I got the vehicle back(my fault). I go over the vehicle the next morning at home, and I find that no one cleaned the car of the broken glass debris(rear) in the car. How do you replace a car window that has been smashed and not clean up the broken glass debris? Many mistakes of communications were made. I will no longer do business with Van Nuys Kia.

In the past when repairs were under warranty, never had an issue. Now dealing with them with a recall for a car of 12yrs just surprised by lack of professionalism and knowledge of the recall.Spoke to 2-3 diff. agents. One told me my part was on order for a recall (a) part I never asked to order (b) turns out based on parts department that the part was for an apt months ago and service rep mixed it up...This is after me being on the phone with her and parts dept for 20 min. They are not knowledgeable on current Kia Soul recall. They cant explain it properly nor see what inspection etc. another Kia dealership has done. In speaking to agents, the whole time it felt like they were doing me a favor that they picked up the phone, had to address the issue, and didnt take my Kia issue/recall seriously.Maybe its been too long since Ive been to service here, but felt like I just talked to government agents in a 3rd world country (and I come from one so I can compare lol)..Just a reminder to service customer service, customers calling you is the reason you have a job. Take it seriously and management, please do customer service training on your staff.

I took my Kia in to the service department for routine recall issues. They kept it for 2 days, and never called me back to advise it was completed. I had to ride the bus home and back. They only let me know it was done because I called 3 times and they never called me back.It drove fine on the way home. The next day it began to have problems. The engine and oil lights came on, and it began to sputter. I have never had issues with my car before, but now it is parked until I can get it fixed. I wish that I had read these service reviews before I brought it here.

My salesman Manar was great! He gets 5 stars! The financing department, specifically the manager, is what gets the one star. They gave me false information when signing my contract saying they would take care of my registration for 2024 and tell me don’t worry about going into DMV this year you will get your new tags in the mail. Weeks go by and all I get is a registration renewal notice in the mail so I thought it was a mistake. Ramon my finance guy connects me to his manager who has a bad attitude from the beginning of the call. She is defensive and is saying they never promised that (was never in the room with us) and they will not be covering it. Be careful when signing your contract, feels like I was lied to when being asked to sign and they don’t care to make things right.

Both in buying my car and getting it serviced they have beaten around the bush in what I do/don’t need, and when I said no you would just get sent to someone else who would word it differently until you said yes. $750 for regular servicing is slimy. (Tried to charge me $900)Customer service isn’t “bad”, they gave me a new tire for free after selling me a car that had tires patched and did not disclose that. Their idea of a deal is 10k over MSRP. Yes, TEN THOUSAND markup. That is if you even mange to get a hold of them. The call center is terrible and directed me all around until I finally got to the service center when I was put on hold for an hour.They really don’t care about their customers in the service center. They don’t care how badly they are inconveniencing you and don’t even care to communicate with you like you are a human being with needs for transportation. No intimidation factors techniques trying to up sale or get me to buy the car. Don’t waste your time and money coming here! I came here for a recall and quick coolarepair. They called me saying it would be $1,000 for the repair including the labor and parts. Then, they called me the day after and said they couldn’t even give me my car the same day. So I had to UBER it to work the following day. Then when they called me to say the car was almost done they said it would not be $1000 but instead $1800. They just jacked up the price by almost double!When I went to talk to the service manager Ismael Barragán he said that they would try to work with me if I gave them few days for them to talk to the guy that lied to me over the phone. It’s been 2 weeks and I paid the full amount they charged me, and now they are ghosting me. The service manager is just as useless as their customer service. Brought my Kia Niro EV in for maintenance. They charged me $500 for regular maintenance and that was supposed to include a tire rotation and alignment. They didnt rotate the tires (front tires which were significantly worn were still on front after picking it up) and when I got it back car was still not tracking straight. I decided to take the car to a tire shop a couple weeks later to replace the tires and they did an alignment and discovered issues which this dealer should have noticed. Avoid this dealer for service. I made the mistake of thinking maybe since Keyes Hyundai has a great service department maybe. Van Nuys Kia would be good. Not.

I would have to call and see if the person would be there or ask to get an update. I did go in once and talk to them and nonchalant oh hi I was frustrated. They gave me my car thinking that they had fixed problem and getting onto the freeway light comes back on. They told me they would reach out to see when I could take it back nothing I called spoke to someone asked to talk not to the manger at this point manger never gets back too but to speak to Amir they said that they were going to pass along the Message to give me a call back and nothing. I have a case with Kia on this situation and also what I’m doing is getting advise from a lawyer on what to with all this.Really disappointed

DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. I got a service done on my Kia Soul engine for the oil consumption issue that they worked on, they had my car for 3 weeks. I was told based on the time I had my rental that they reimburse you for the full rental if you submit to Kia. I followed their Instructions and which It took 3 months for Kia to come back to me to tell me that they cant reimburse me based on the settlements that the DEALERSHIP informed me to do so. Unfortunately, I had a conversation with who seemed to be upper management to discuss my credit pull. He seemed to be very aggressive. I Realized my credit score was not up to date and entered incorrectly when I got home....he had the wrong social security # by error....I mentioned to him once he came that something was off and he brushed me off and dismissed me completely by saying agreeing to disagree. I really fealt his communication and lack of professionalism needs major improvement. He was very loud and unaware of his disposition with my natural concern . His agreement had nothing to do with my concern for what I know about my personal information. All that was needed wasa further dive in proper guidance and further information for support. Then he had the nerve to ask if I wanted to continue ....I was too annoyed with the way the conversationWas handled to even discuss any options whatsoever. I told Abraham...did that just happen?...like what...why is he taking my concern so personal. What they didnt know is that I had been saving money for months...I was open to other models. Avoid this place! Especially if you’re military, read below! I spoke to our military installation legal department about the experience here.I feel bad because my salesman was amazing but the rest of the staff was horrible. He was patient with us and agreed on a purchase price that we had in mind.When we went into the finance manager office this is where things went horrible. First off, even though we agreed on a price we were told the agreed price was only for the vehicle and not the installed add ons. I don’t need nor care for the worthless nitro fill, 3M “protection” that literally even questionable if it was used or what it does cause the car had 0, the door protector that you can buy for a few bucks was peeling, a gps tracker for a car that already has a GPS installed??? Literally a bunch of worthless stuff. But whatever I was already tired from waking up early to make the drive so I let it goThe extended warranty, ohhh the extended warranty. Claimed to get a discount on an extended warranty on a policy that barely extended the manufacturer warranty. Even after I said I didn’t want it the finance manager got a bit frustrated and said “why not? I gave you a discount and didn’t change your monthly payment much.” Which from the get-go I told them I didn’t want to talk about a monthly payment because I am only worried about the purchase price. Again I said F it, kids are getting fussy, wife really loved the car. We finalized the contract and waited for the car.Waited forever on the car to get delivered because apparently they had to swap them because one was a demo car the dealership had. Finally got it delivered after they “prepped it” the car received a rinse and that was about it. All the clear tape and delivery protection was still inside and some still outside the car. There was swirl marks and leftover residue on some of the body. Again, kids were fussy and my wife loved the car. Salesman apologized and wanted us to let him take it back for them to detail it and properly remove everything but settled on bringing it back. Took it back a few days later and I think it came out worse. Or maybe that 3M protection failed to protect from preventing even more swirl marks? Delivery protection was still left on but at this point I had given up and said screw it I’m good, I’ll fix it all myself.Back to the military thing. So during my transaction with the finance manager. He declined my GAP, didn’t allow me to add GAP, and then stated verbatim, word for word, “you don’t need GAP, remember because you’re military you do not need GAP.” So I went to talk to our legal department about it. They said that we are 100% able to get GAP and that there is no special military protection from the difference in equity so I would be liable for any difference, also that I should have been allowed to purchase it if I wanted it. Dealers avoid selling it to military members due to having to worry about Military Lending Act, having to follow it, and also in California there is a limit of how much they can charge for it plus it can’t be financed either which I would’ve been ok paying out of pocket. However, it does not restrict or prohibit a military member from buying it. Working around the act or the cost limit?The legal department taught me something else. Because they ultimately sold me a different vehicle, I should’ve been able to either terminate the sale all together as I was being given a different car than I agreed to purchase, or worked out a new deal on the car I agreed to purchase, knowing that I would’ve ensured the body imperfections were accounted for and gotten back the energy to argue the purchase price of “add ons” and warranty. But instead they gave me an envelope with an updated contract that had the VIN changed.Again, my salesman was amazing. Sucks that he works for a horrible staff. I’m currently working on what’s next but let me tell you this is as the shadiest and worst buying experiences I’ve had. Maybe I’m just an outlier but I’ve warned other people that ask my car to stay away from this place.

Despite my repeated requests to provide the final price for the car, they initiated the credit application process, disregarding my inquiries. Nitrogen tire fill $299, ELOS GPS 1yr protection $495, Finishing touch 3yr $1295 and Pro Door protection $395. It is 2024 and dealers still rip you off with add-ons that do not benefit. We knew what car we were looking for and what price we wanted to pay- after calling a dozen places who had what we wanted, he was the only one who was even remotely in the ballpark of what we wanted to pay. He didnt jerk us around or try to nickel and dime us. I told him the car and price I wanted, he came back immediately with a great deal, very reasonable, just barely over what I led with. A dozen Kias could not meet this deal by at least a difference of 3k, many wanting 5-6k more.I drove four and a half hours, my wife thinking that there had to be some sort of catch or trick that would be pulled once we got there, but I felt secure and taken care of by Brandon and this dealership. THEY INSTALL GPS TRACKING DEVICES in their vehicles and dont inform you!!! HORRIBLE experience after pre-sale! My wife and I received good customer service pre-sale, when they were charging us +$10k OVER MSRP. Then, after the deal was done, our BRAND NEW 2022 Kia kept having issues and literally wouldnt start. Were a 4-person family with 2 toddlers and this is our only vehicle. The first break down was in Dec of 2021!!! Turns out, this dealership puts GPS tracking devices in all of their vehicles - which was NOT disclosed upon purchase - and is the reason our brand new 2022 car has been sitting in a different Kai service center for 5 out of the 8 weeks that weve owned it because of the electrical short that was caused by the GPS tracking device that Van Nuys Kia installed! On top of everything, this dealership gave us the wrong floor mats for our car and have made no effort to send us the proper floor mats. We called and left multiple messages for the General Manager asking for a call back to try and get assistance. No reply and no response to multiple texts. Unacceptable!!! Stay away from this dealership at all costs!!!!!! A picture of the GPS tracking device that Van Nuys Kia installed, which was eventually found by the other Kia service center 4 + weeks later, is attached.
