Beautiful family and pet friendly hiking spot, with waterfalls, tall trees and vegetation. Parking is only $6. Went without reservation and no problem. But the website says to make reservations ahead of time, maybe because the parking area is not too big.

Definitely a must if you are within an hour or two drive or visiting the area, but first a word of caution, if coming from the Monterey area, Google maps will try and route you via a private road that will not get you to the park. You must get there via 101 north. You will need a reservation to park at the park, there is no where else around to park. Reservations must be done online and usually in advanced, there is no cell service with 10 miles of the park so plan ahead. As a result of googles poor route we arrived 15 minutes after our reservation time but the girl at the gate was super friendly and understanding and didnt even bat an eye. Half of the waterfall loop is closed but you can still see all the waterfalls, we did the half of waterfall loop and then the canyon trail and it eneded up being a little over three miles. It was a great hike, very pretty and well worth it.

Beautiful place for a hike, play, and recharge. The restroom is clean—plenty of tables and picnic areas. Parking is limited. You must register online and arrive in the given window.

I visited here during the last week of March while it was still raining. Just around an hour drive from South Bay you can visit many waterfalls. The hike to Upper Fall is easy and you can stop midway to view other falls with quick detours. You need to make a reservation and take a print out before going there. Overall a good experience.

This is a great location for a short hike. Since weve received enough rain, the creek is full and pleasantly noisy. I recommend the waterfall loop trail. Part of the loop was closed due to storm damage so you have to go up and back on the same trail but its still a great hike for beginners. We ate lunch at the picnic table at the top of the trail. It was a great location. It was a little cool and breezy today with the forecast high being 59 degrees but still a pleasant day.

It is a nice little hiking trail. Perfect for a summer day. There is a loop but it is a bit confusing. Eventually it all comes in a loop. Cant really get lost unless you go off the path. Plenty of shade in the area so you dont have to bring a hat unless you want to. You can reserve a parking spot online or you can drive up and pay for a day pass. There are camp grounds you can go to as well.

We did below trail but added a few extra legs to make it a 5+ mile hike.Upper, Basin, and Black Rock Falls via Contour and Waterfall Loop on AllTrailsTrail has a steady incline in the beginning but eases out after a bit. Initial half had loose gravel. Shaded trail, lovely waterfalls in the second half of the trail. The lower falls hike was the best. The waterfall loop is a shorter version which is good for beginners and people with kids. Parking reservation required.

Surprisingly crowded, & steeper than expected—but the water is running, & pleasant to explore. The trail (& bridges) along the whole South bank of the creek is CLOSED—sadly, it looked like the more interesting route. The strict pre-registration system (& yes, the rangers at the entrance DO check!) led us to expect a quiet, lonely hike, but instead, we find a broad vehicle-sized dirt road as the Nature Trail, & it’s full of hikers, enough that we felt compelled, several times, to either pass them by, or stop to let them pass us, just to reduce the mutual dust & noise that we all kicked up. That made the whole hike less than pleasant. The side-trips down & up into the falls & cascades were the highlight of the route, & there are PLENTY of them. Next time, I’d aim for the EARLIEST time slot in the morning. The parking is ample, but it did fill up as we were leaving around noon. Lots of families with small children, but we ready to help them up the steep route.

Its a great local falls scene within 30 miles distance from downtown the city of San Jose.I visited right after the overnight shower. Everything there seems so clean and fresh. You will see the beautiful falls there by following the trail.However, this special county park is required to reserve in advance. You wont allow to enter without the reservation. Prior to enter the park, you will drive through a private property in unfriendly road conditions. Buy, it still worth a shot to visit.

Probably one of the most beautiful places to hike in the South Bay. Its a little hidden away and takes some navigating on at least 1 single lane road to get to. You are immediately thrust into nature with some optionally long hikes in a good handful of trails. Some trails are not continuously marked so youll have to pay attention. There are picnic benches to rest/eat at in several locations and well placed bridges that nicely juxtapose the vegetation. Some of the waterfalls take some rock climbing ability to see head-on and some shoes with great grip on the sole. The trails vary in width and makeup, with some being as narrow as 2 or 3 feet and others being made up of rock.Depending on the trail and time of year, water may actually completely block one or two areas from being passed.But for this time of year (early March) everything seems accessible for avid hikers. Unlike places like little Yosemite, this park is not heavily trafficked -- likely due to the limited parking. This makes it a great way to get away from the masses!

Ive come to this park 3 times: once for camping and twice for hiking. The Waterfall Loop is gorgeous with many mini waterfalls and a dozen bridges. Id recommend visiting this place on weekdays and in the early hours since more people come in the afternoon. Theres a picnic table near the turnaround point. Bring your snacks and enjoy your rest there. Overall the hike is short and easy and a perfect place for families with young kids to enjoy nature.

You will not be disappointed, but go before it gets hot and the water dries up. I was able to go during the week and had the place to myself! What a treat to enjoy the well maintained trails that are well marked so you almost cant get lost. The bathroom has running water and you can find other places throughout the park to fill your water bottle.

We did camping in Uvas canyon campground(reservation required for camping, better to do in advance)It was the best experience with friends and family.clean restrooms and showers.Camphost came and check on people if we need anything.He was nice friendly guy.campfire available ( if weather is extremely hot we cant do),Great hikes. We did 3 miles hike completed in 2 hours.Granuja fall is worth to go ( little fall where you can go inside and play with water)its kids friendly park.not so many people bcoz it required reservation also for hiking only that cost only$6. Its gem hidden in the south San Jose .Highly recommend if you are going to do first time camping or if its kids first camping

Beautiful sights, though a bit crowded- even with the reservation system in place. Went first thing in the morning hoping to beat the crowds, but ran into two large, loud groups on the way up and lots of others on the way down. Nice that its mostly shaded because it gets hot out there! Basin Falls are pretty dried up, but the kids enjoy splashing in the upper falls.

First time visiting Uvas Canyon. Its about 20 miles from our home in San Jose, by far the closest campground. We stayed two nights in the campground. It is a small area with 25 campsites. Sites are really close to each other, so there is little to no privacy.A central restroom building has about 6 restrooms and 4 showers...impressively clean and functional. There are recycling and garbage bins every 2-3 sites and Park Rangers/groundskeepers clear these out like every 3 hrs...again super impressive! Firewood is $13/box and includes firestarter. Beware tons of mosquitos.This is the perfect intro to car camping (or tent-only) for beginners or families...not for anyone seeking peace or tranquility :) Its literally a school playground filled with babies crying and kids having a blast from 7am to 11pm. Also, pets are allowed so be prepared for random dogs walking through your campsite. No Joke!The creek access is great for kids to play in. The Waterfall Loop Trail is also nice. Id re-visit and just do a day trip to explore the hiking trails...the campground is just too small and populated (like the Bay Area). We were more interested/enthralled by the Svedal village that you must drive through to enter Uvas Canyon.

Amazing park! You pay $6 to park and there is a clean bathroom at the start of the trails. There are a few trails to follow if varying levels of difficulty. The waterfall loop is easy but not all of it would be fit for a stroller or wheelchair. Many trails are rocky and narrow. The contour trail was a little more challenging. Most trails are very shady and cool.

Good place for a short hike. If you do the full loop it is around 5 miles and change. To the first waterfall it is around 1 mile - good spot to turn around if you have kids. You can continue upwards- the rest of the hike is about a 4 mile loop. It is not particularly hard, about a total of a 1000 ft climb. The crowds thin out after you go past the first waterfall.

Uvas Canyon County Park is located in a beautiful part of Morgan Hill. The park us thickly shaded and the main trail goes along the creek. You can take a stroller and walk along the road and if you want to you can get down and walk on the trail which criss crosses the creek. Make sure you carry plenty of water as the wall can become tiring. You can get down in the creek and dip your feet into the water in multiple places. The Park also offers camping space which we plan to try sometime soon. The Park requires a reservation, which costs $6 and can be booked online.Fantastic and beautiful park. Must visit.

A decent park. We were very lucky to get in without reservation since it was not a busy day. Waterfalls are still running. The creek near entrance is nice. Camp ground looks well maintained. Hikes are short. We spent two hours here.

WARNING: This county park is RESERVATIONS only! Do not go here without a reservation unless you plan on having someone drop you off. It controls the amount of parking spaces and there isnt very many of them. Croy Rd leads to the park and goes through a private campground called Sveadal. Do not trespass the area outside of the road/rock wall as it is private property and only for those apart of the SAPL or have rented cabins there. Do not park along Croy road either as there is not very much space and the road itself is very narrow. Due to the narrow road, occasional rock slides, one way bridges, blind corners and other hazards, I do not recommend novice drivers coming here. Large trucks also not recommended. The road leading to the county parking lot is also only big enough for one car so please be patient and pull off to the side, backup if you have to. Cars leaving the campsite generally have the right away. But if there is a bunch of cars going in either direction and its just you, please be courteous and allow them to pass, SAFELY! If you see anyone dumping trash or causing any other serious issues, please report to the Park Ranger. They have a station outside the county park.

Camping in Uvas Canyon camp ground was such a great experience for our family. The camping area was well maintained and clean. Camp host came check on people to see if they need anything on daily basis. Lots of hiking trails for day time hike. Wood burning fireplace for the night. You can hear running water in the park. Different animals sounds at night. Its magical. One down side is there are lots of bugs and mosquitoes. Bring bug spray and wear loose clothes cover up.

It was good, water was fun for the kids. But in the peak of summer, the creeks are a bit dry and waterfalls are reduced to trickles. It was hot last Saturday when we hiked here and did the waterfalls nature loop. Rattlesnakes presence warnings are posted at a lot of places. This trail was short but because of the heat we were exhausted. Parking reservations required everyday. It is $6 and can be booked on gooutsideandplay website. Clean restrooms.

What a gorgeous park!Go to their website for parking reservations if visiting on the weekends or holidays. No reservations required on weekdays.If you have an hour or two, I highly recommend the waterfall loop and then the lower falls. Trails are nice and shady. The waterfall loop trail to the upper falls and basin falls is mostly uphill getting there and then downhill going back. During my most recent hike here in July, the waterfalls were still flowing although they were not as full as they had been a few months earlier.Trails are dog friendly.

MAKE a reservation online before you go…even if it’s for hiking. And especially if it’s on a Saturday or Sunday. Weekdays will be less busy so you may not need a reservation. The waterfalls still have water, but not a whole lot of water with the drought. A lot of shade on most of the hike which was awesome. Recommend the Waterfall Nature Loop to the Contour Trail to the Alec Canyon Trail that will lead up to Manzanita Point. There’s not as much shade beyond Manzanita Point. Enjoy! And watch out for the slimy banana slugs!😬

Loved the location. Quite remote yet accessible. Not too many people. I would suggest the trail following the left side of the creek instead of the steep right one, in case you do not want to start hard. The contour trail is away from the water but pretty scenic with lot of flora. Reservation mandatory for day use.

Really nice trail for burning calories 😂. The way to the entrance of the park is bumpy just like Contour trail, narrow which is not a good choice for little kids. But Alec Canyon Trail is much more wide and bumpy. Waterfall trail is pretty interesting, I guess no one will refuse enjoying the creeks especially the kids. But there was not much water in the creek. The bathroom is next to the parking lot 1. Remember to make a reservation as early as you can to pick your ideal time for hiking. And print your reservation and show to the staff at the entrance of the park.

It is an amazing hike! Quite surreal for something in this area. We did the POST recommended one - waterfall trail, contour trail and then back on the Alec canyon trail, about 4.5 miles if you include hiking to the waterfalls for closer Vista points or touching the water. Absolutely amazing views! Kids did not complain about the distance and we completed the loop in 3 hours.There are lots of picnic tables with equally great views for lunch/snacking.Reservations are required and we noticed that we had to make the reservations by Wednesday for a weekend plan. The parking lot starts filling up fairly early. We had a reservation in the 8:00 am to 9:00 am slot and the lot was half filled by 8:30 am, when we arrived.

Beautiful park with tons of trails and lots of waterfalls. My new favorite place to escape to, especially on a warm day. You need to make a reservation in advance to enter the park so dont just show up at the gate. If possible, I recommend trying to visit on a weekday when its less popular. Definitely worth the drive, but make sure to take a car that can handle a curvy and bouncy road. The path through the resort (Sveadal) is in great need of repair and is full of dips and potholes. Reminds me of the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland.

The park is very nice with picnic areas and multiple hiking trails. Online reservations are required to enter the park. The trails by the creek are beautiful and you can see mini waterfalls. However, the trails aren’t stroller friendly. Check the map before you start because some trails are impassable due to water level (we couldn’t continue the Uvas creek trail).

Great location. Uvas canyon waterfall hike is great, you will see lots of waterfalls. This place is beautiful indeed and does seem to be a bit of a Hidden Gem. I was able to get a campsite here when all the state parks were full. That said, it was very very buggy. I havent camped enough in the summer in this area to know if that is typical but we had thought about staying a second night and ended up leaving early in the day due to the number of bugs at the campsite. There were flies, mosquitoes, and bees. they seem to swarm most in the evening and morning, perhaps accustomed to eating times. We were okay in our tent at night. The facility is beautiful and by far the cleanest and nicest bathrooms I have encountered at a campsite. we really enjoyed hiking down to the creek which is only point three miles from the camp area though it is down a very steep incline. our two toddler boys loved playing in the shallow, rocky creek.

Spent a delightful morning here in mid-July. Printed up the $6 parking pass at a FedEx store (printing charge: 19 cents), and had the park largely to myself. Hiked up Swanson Canyon and the nature trail. Water was running fairly low, but it was nice that it was almost all shaded. Saw a banana slug, California Sister butterfly, grasshoppers and lots of water skimmers. In other words, a classic summer hike in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Went to See the falls on a rainy day but still so beautiful. Reached there around 4:30 so nobody was there lol. There is an automatic parking machine at the entrance as you keep driving and the ticket is $6. The parking was empty so no issues but not that big of a parking place on a busy sunny weekend. Short walk from parking to the main falls maybe 500 ft. Very beautiful for a nature lover.

Weve been to many hike trails but this ones is our favorite. Picnic tables available and restroom area is cold 😊 and Clean. Make sure you take a light sweater. Very shady area. Hike is semi steep but not too bad. Also, take hiking sticks.

I absolutely love this park. If I could come here everyday I would. The trail follows the stream with several small waterfalls that lead to a larger waterfall, all surrounded by beautiful trees. Its a great place to go if its really hot because all of the shade and the cool water provides a break from the heat. I havent been camping here yet, thats the next thing I want to do.

Uvas Canyon has some nice trails and a collection of waterfalls. The falls were all flowing when we were there. You must make a parking reservation online before you go so check their website before going. The little town / resort of Svedal was interesting. We weren’t sure we were going the right way but you do drive through Svedal to get to the Uvas Canyon. Uvas iCanyon is worth a visit at least once if your looking for a hike the South Bay.

Bring your bug spray. That being said this is a lovely small camp spot. You can always hear the creeks running in the background. Bathrooms very clean and showers have excellent warm water. Plenty of trails to keep you busy. Far off the beaten trail but worth a drive for the weekend. And dont forget about the bugs.

The hike to waterfalls is fairly easy. Lots of trees and right now ladybugs are there. The thing i dont like is you have to go to website to reserve parking, pay on line then print your parking pass. Also the last mile or so the road to park is not very well maintained and narrow. Best to go during the week, not crowded at all. Also best to oo after good rainfall. I was just there a week ago,and falls looked good but last year we went and it was amazing, due to the heavy rainfall.

This is a hidden jewel. So close to San Jose and when youre there it feels so remote. If youre into waterfalls or photography, go there after a rainy day. Dont forget to take a tripod for long exposure pictures. Needs reservation for day use.

Visited the park in March and it was beautiful! The waterfalls were flowing and the moss and ferns made me feel like we were hiking through a fairy land.The trail is narrow at times but otherwise easy to navigate.

Super clean bathrooms! Come early to get a parking. We got there about 845am. It is July so the earlier the better. Most trails are well shaded. 6 dollar parking-easier to have exact change. Grab a map or ask for one or save it to your phone ahead of visiting. For July I didnt need to pay for parking in advance and reserve my visit but you should call to be sure. Amazing views! Be aware of the rain season...because we had good rainfall there was plenty of water for most waterfalls to flow in July yet no too much water that trails were blocked!

It was a wonderful experience. Our contingent consisted of three generations of my family, and we all immensely enjoyed the hike around the waterfall loop. There was hardly any water in the waterfalls, but the walk was refreshing by itself.We also paid a visit to the lower falls, which had the most water of all the falls. This trail was a bit narrow at times, and you have to be careful with small kids.

Just one thing to keep in mind for hiking in this park- bring bug spray! It will save your life and your hike. Compared to more coastal hikes there are more mosquitoes and you can see them land on you whenever you stop moving. The trails here have plenty of shade and the Waterfall Loop Trail is very easy and mild- it seems to be the lowest elevation of the park, so be prepared for some incline on the other trails.I have to recommend the Upper Falls on the Waterfall Loop and checking out the Lower Fall area where Swanson Creek joins with Uvas Creek. It is a great place with plenty of shade and lush greenery, which the creeks running water.Triple Falls must be a great spot, when theres actually water cascading through it. Unfortunately, when we went (at the end of July) the waterfall was pretty much dried up, with barely a trickle. Also just a heads up if you decide to check out that side of the park, there is a part of the Alec Canyon Trail which offers little to no shade.The bathroom facility is clean (flush-able toilets, soap, and running water). Also it has a shady drive in campground which does have showers. I appreciated the parks COVID 19 efforts of reserving a time/day ahead of time to control the amount of visitors. On that note make sure to reserve ahead of time if you want to got to the park. Also it is at the dead end of a narrow street through a small Swedish community.

It’s a very good place to enjoy with your friends, it’s typical jungle hike, very shady. If it rained recently you’ll find the waterfalls full with water otherwise they have less water. There are 2 main hikes, waterfall loop and the nibbs knob trail. I personally enjoyed the waterfall loop more because of the adventure inside the jungle, on the other hand nibbs knob was a mountain climb. But all in all everything was good.

This is an excellent camping site! Nice facilities, not far from the bay area. Camp fires allowed in the camp site designated areas. Mobile network range may not always be available. However, guest wifi is provided at no extra cost. The trails are very good, even kids can also complete easier trails. Also the waterfall though not very high, is worth taking a look at. Camping was great except for the fact that our site had no fire pit and the stone pit that was there couldnt keep the fire going. It was made for charcoal I guess, or maybe it was just user error 🤷🏽‍♂️... The bathrooms were clean and had power receptacles in them for hair dryers or whatever. The showers were ok but not super warm, just warm enough to get through a shower without freezing. The camp host and the people working up front were all awesome; overall I think wed go back.

This is a lovely, shady park, with a variety of trail types to suit a range of hikers.For camping, it is well patrolled by the host/rangers and well maintained. The toilets flush and are clean (and even have lights in the toilets, which isnt common at campsites). The sites are pretty flat, but not very private (no bushes/trees between sites). I personally love camping here.While mosquitos arent a huge problem, the sweat flies are a THING in Aug and Sept, esp in dry years. I prefer camping here during winter, since the bugs are mostly dead and the waterfalls are at their most special.

Went with my sons Scouts Troop for camping. Absolutely stunning place. At the moment, the water stream is awesome. We went to swim in a small pool, water was relatively cold, but manageable - suggest to bring water shoes. There is also a hiking loop, it is slightly strenuous due to the elevation gain, but highly recommended.Restrooms are quite good in the camp grounds.One word of caution - be aware of ticks and mosquitoes. Make sure that you spray insect repellent, and follow the tick prevention steps like tucking sock over pants, two layers of shorts with inner layer tucked in, having some one inspect hair and body after a hike, etc. This is a top tick area in the Bay area, and my suggestion is to take all precautions.

Still on a reservation system as of late June 2023. Must be made in advance to your visit. You still purchase parking permit at the gate but apparently you still need to have reservation and blocks are only about 2 to 3 hours.Windy road toward the end near the park and have to yield for other vehicles as some part of the road gets really narrow and will only fit one vehicle. We had to back up 3 times for other vehicle to pass.Beautoful water falls through out the hike. However you can skip triple falls which is a the very end of the trail. It was dry and disappointed. We navigate through fallen trees that blocked a about 20 yards of the trail so it definitely not worth the effort.

We went there yesterday. It was just 30-45 mins from south san jose. We didnt find much traffic on the way may be because of heat wave. The park entry required online reservation per car. There was able of shaded parking available. Due to the heat wave, as soon as we came out of car in the parking, we felt that great and dryness. It was somewhere 35-38 deg. C temperature. There was a very clean restroom right at the parking and the water in the tap was chilled. There were many picnic area tables just besides the parking and due to tall trees all around the area was fully shaded. There was also an open tap for water available near the tables. To prevent from heat and dryness, I wet my hair, alos my cap and cotton mask before wearing them. This gave me cool moist breathes and kept my head and face cool. I kept them wet with restroom tap water in the beginning and later with the water bottles. We started with short Waterfall loop trail which covered points like Black rock falls, Upper falls, Basin falls and Knobcone point. This home is alongside the water creek. The black rock falls were completely dry. The Upper falls was super cool point with a small Waterfall of cool water stream. I took bath in the water fall which got me some more motivation to continue the rest of the trail in the heat wave. Basin falls was dry too. Then we went to Knobcone point which was very exhausting due to steep hike. In addition there was no view at the top sure to talk trees. It just gave a self encouragement that we completed such difficult hike. On the way back I again took a bath in Upper falls. Overall we enjoyed the hike just because we kept ourselves super hydrated else wont be possible. We saw many family with the kids on the way playing in the water streams alongside the creek.

The campsite was very nice and overall a great campground. The bathroom was also very nice and had warm water and the shower was very nice as well. There was running water at almost every third campsite and trashcans all around. The last 1 mile into the campground/trail area was a one lane dirt road and very bumpy. It was not hard to pass as almost any car can make it as long as you go slow (Speed limit was 5mph). The rangers we met were extremely nice and very welcoming and I will definitely be coming back in the future. I have ATT and I had one bar of LTE at the campsite and was able to send messages and videos but not stream videos and open emails and other data demanding apps. Overall a great weekend.

The road to get to Uvas is challenging. Many parts are one way and require to go on the shoulder to let other side to cross. Once on site, you can park and visit many paths. It is pretty but keep in mind that it can be dangerous in many areas without rail. Also, the paths are unclear and confusing.I visited many times and you must pay in advance for a time slot. Be aware that internet reception is unavailable and that there is no electric car station.Restrooms are next to the parking. Many table to eat outside.Clean place and the small trail is steep. The small trail takes about 45 minutes to go around.

My good friend suggested to go to this gem of a hike. We went on a pleasant sunny day in March just a few days after the rains.There are multiple small falls, which are quite scenic. Kids love the hike for its rock climbing opportunities along the falls.The hike is close to 2 miles out and back. Difficulty level is moderate with an elevation gain of about 500 ft.We need to book parking spots online in advance, so parking will be guaranteed. There are bathrooms at the beginning of the hike. There are lots of benches near the parking lot, we had a good lunch at the end of the hike. Excellent place to spend a weekend with family and kids. Highly recommended!

Great place for camping with kids. Nice stream within a short walk down to it.But beware, weve visited mid august and they have a serious infestation of yellow jackets hornets and flys. They come as soon as food is out in large groups. Kids were too scared and it was not so fun.Also when low capacity, the ranger tends to close off some bathrooms, which meant we had to queue up to our own party, as with younger kids. Wish they did not do that as camping with kids, we tend to go to the bathrooms in groups.Otherwise, great site, with clean facilities, friendly rangers, water faucets near by and trash cans everywhere.One day we even saw a deer come pretty close by.

The restrooms are cleaned twice per day by an extremely friendly maintenance crew and there are free showers as well. I have been to all the Santa Clara county parks, this is the only one that needs online reservation and $6 per vehicle payment, and a rare park with running creeks and waterfalls, worth it.We did 2.5 miles loop trail (waterfall loop and contour trail), 1.5 hours long, 100% shaded! So you could come in hot weather without sun protection. Also not difficult trail. Can see/ hear/ touch the creek 1/3 of the whole trail.Map attached.We also tried one-way Knobcone trail, 0.4 mile, not worth it, too sunny, difficult to climb or get down, there is no view along the way or even at the top!We will try next time Knibbs Knob Trail, Alec Canyon Trail, Triple Falls Trail, and the easiest and closest Uvas Crreek Trail

Our first camping experience was totally fun filled and rainy too. It was a beautiful scenic camping spot near a creek. The showers are clean and they maintain it very well. They have hot showers. Lots of trails to explore.

Spent a long fall weekend here with my partner and one of our friends. Wasnt really expecting much, however the further into the canyon we droves the more diverse the environment became. There is a small campground at the end of the road, where the canyon becomes more narrow. Great hikes. Awesome family place.

I went there with my friend. We did not know we should buy parking pass online. When we arrived to gate, the lady over there asked for parking pass and we said we did not know! She was so kind and supportive. She said we are not really busy then you can using the parking this time. We were lucky! Parking is not really big but we found park spot easily. It was rainy and weather was so good. At first, you can see the restroom and theater. Trail is so beautiful. If you are hiker it is not hard but if you go hike while a time, it is moderate! I did not finish whole loop because it was rainy but I will be back again. I have to finish it. I definitely recommend it. You should try it.

Absolutely gorgeous went there during rain. It had rained on and off 2 week prior so the waterfall were flowing good. So many beautiful trees and most trails are easy hikes with some stairs. There are a few more adventurous and semi steep short trails that lead to waterfalls. There was only one train i did partialy due to my wifes sore legs from a previous workout, it was pretty steep for a good while. This is a magical place. There are bathrooms and day use picnic tables near the parking lots.

This is a well-maintained campground with spacious campsites. Wow, very clean restrooms with flush toilets & instant hot water and also free showers. Theres a good assortment of hiking trails here, and after a large October storm the waterfalls (15 of them) were great to see. What a gem of a place & thank you Santa Clara County!!

Uvas County park is a nice escape from the sea of humanity thats the South Bay. Not a lot to do there, but camp and hike. The drive in proper park is kind of small, but the hiking can get you out there.Use the Countys reservation system as space is limited.

Gorgeous county park! Trails are shaded and well maintained.Waterfalls are beautiful... There are areas where you can go down to the creek and splash around.Bathrooms were open and clean.Youll need to reserve a parking pass online to get in.Highly recommended!

Camped here two nights and we are practically the only ones. The creek was pretty, with many waterfalls and even though it was very hot in the sun, we were comfortable in the shade and quite pleasant temps near the creeks. Kids loved it.

Beautiful year-round creek with waterfalls means this park is always green. Expect some wow moments, hopefully not ruined by crowds. We were lucky and didnt see many others on the trail. Great experience. Dont hesitate to explore.

I went there this April. There are a lot of trees so there is a lot of shade. Each campsite has plenty of space. Showering was free. There are also nice trekking courses with creeks and small bridges. Children can play in the creek.It was very very cold at night.Sometimes there were small bugs around midday when it began warm.

Hiking trails are nice, some trails are wide and some are narrow. At the base, there is lot of picnic area. Cons, park need reservations and 6$ paid parking. They allow visitors without reservations if parking is not full. The road just before the entrance is so narrow and go through private properties. Overall I feel it is not worth going that far to visit and hike this place.

In Morgan Hill, needs reservations to enter per car. Taking all precautions for Covid so not so crowded, good parking and restrooms, a lot of picnic tables. Views are great, trails go around the small streams of water and falls, kids can play in the water, it took us an hour and 15 min for the hike. We went there in the afternoon but it was nice and shady, a lot of photos opportunities, it has a campground, though never been there.

Beautiful, well maintained trails. Has a wide range of easy to medium difficulty options. If you go to see the falls, be aware theres not much water during summer/fall. Not much else say, just really good hiking.

Waterfall loop trail is beautiful and we hiked next to the creek. Glad we came now when there is so much water. We also went up the Alec canyon trail until the viewpoint which was really good.The road from Sveadal to the park is single lane. Reservation is required at the park. Luckily there were tickets available when I checked the previous night for 3pm entry.

Great place to go, esp in spring when water flow is high after rains. Easy trail for kids and very scenic. The drive is nice once you get off 101. Lots of places to have a little picnic in you dont want to use the designated picnic tables.
