Yesterday, I took my 8-year-old daughter in because she had red spots on her hands and feet. We were seen pretty quickly, which was great. The medical student who attended to us first was incredibly kind and patient. She listened to all our concerns and was fantastic with my daughter, making her feel comfortable and at ease.However, when the pediatrician came in, although she was nice, she seemed rushed and spoke very quickly. We felt like we didnt have much opportunity to ask questions or discuss our concerns in detail. While we appreciated the timely care, a bit more time with the pediatrician would have made the experience even better.Overall, the staff was friendly and professional, and we were grateful for the quick attention to our needs.

I was sick over the weekend and was taking otc medicine but it wasn’t helping so I went to this urgent care and was assisted in a timely manner. It was my first time so of course you have to fill out paperwork and provide proof of ID and insurance. The waiting room was big enough to have some space between others. Check in was easy, the staff was friendly and the doctor was great. Dr. Do listened to what was going on with me and provide a few rx that would help me. The patient rooms had these tablets to provide updates and medical information on various matters. I thought that was cool. They offer more than just “sick” care. The doctor sent my rx electronic to my local CVS and within an hour or so, they were ready. They do open at 9am so just FYI.

I recently visited this location with my 2-year-old daughter 2.5 hours before closing. Unfortunately, upon arrival, the front desk staff informed me that they were no longer accepting patients for the day, even though there were only 3 people in the waiting area. While I understand clinics sometimes need to limit intake, the communication from the front desk staff could have been improved. The staff member appeared agitated and avoided eye contact throughout our interaction, which felt unprofessional.This experience prevented me from seeking treatment for my daughter at this location. Although I cannot comment on the doctors or other staff members, I would recommend the clinic review its intake procedures and staff communication practices, particularly regarding informing patients about cutoff times for appointments.

I looked them up and went to them because they said that they close at 9:00 p.m. I got there at 7:45 and there was two people in the waiting room. The receptionist came out before I could finish registering, and told me that I needed to go somewhere else. Never even saw the doctor, told me I was better off going to a hospital, but couldnt tell me which hospital to go to. I had an ear infection. I left dizzy and pissed off. I would never recommend going to these A-holes

Doctor and staff are good with my son. They gave good time and diagnosed him. But waiting time is too much for me. It takes almost 3 hours for my son to visit. That can be managed by them so that our time should not be wasted in waiting room.

This urgent care facility is the wirst! I took my daughter with a broken wrist, I was told to come back the next day, the x ray tech went home early (3pm) came back the day, then told us they couldnt do anything to go somewhere else.No paper work, they just charge our insurance for nothing! Dont go to this place.

The staff and doctor were all very nice and helpful. The doctor was caring and took are of my needs. The doctor gave me the attention and care I needed and took her time in listening to my medical problem. There was a bit of a wait but it is expected when going to an urgent care.

Best experience of my life! It was my first time going to urgent care and I was in and out, I thought it was going to be the same wait time as the hospital. I was probably there 30 minutes MAX!!! The staff and the Dr were very nice. Definitely coming next time I can’t book a drs appointment.

Called the clinic to see if they accept my child’s insurance, they took the information down and notified me that they do and to arrive before 7:30 pm since usually they reach full capacity at that time. I arrived by 6:50pm I was in the room with my son within 15 -20 minutes, nurse came in took vitals, then a medical student and then the pediatrician they have on sight. Overall appointment lasted about 1 hour. It was a experience.

They only see 4 patients per hour and according to them they were at capacity. It’s only 7, you close at 9?! Change your office hours to 7pm then if you can’t see any patients! Unbelievable! I was there only got the B12 shots. Since the second time I didn’t need Dr consultation, so it shouldn’t be more than 35 minutes of waiting. It would be nice that staff are being trained and educated to provide smooth and fast-paced operations for better productivity. Which can also results in your business profitability.

They gave me the wrong pharmacy location multiple times. I had to drive to 3 different pharmacies that they told me they were sending the prescription to and every pharmacy I went to kept on saying they don’t have it. After going to multiple locations and being on the phone for hours trying to get my prescriptions the pharmacy that actually had it, closed.

Called before getting an Uber for a walk in and this place said to come in. However, when the patient arrived they were told that the clinic was no longer taking patients. To go somewhere else. Im guessing to the second AME location.I called the AME location on paramount and they said yeah they are taking patients. The patient in question has mobility and transportation issues. Although the paramount and Florence locations are no that far from each other please note that it was raining and there is no transportation available.Horrible experience to be turned away before noon when the clinic closes at 5pm.There are many yelp reviews regarding this issue. Im not sure how both AME locations in Downey have 4.5 stars on Google.Yelp reviews are 3.2 and 3.3 stars for both locations

Healthnet Ambetter is the absolute worst! I could leave a lower rating I would. I have had elevated blood pressure for almost two weeks. I called the number for a PCP out of the Downey office. I was told just go in and a Dr will see you. After an hour wait, the assistant took my blood pressure. Then she sent in a PA who basically did nothing except tell me if I felt worse go to the ER. By the way, they charged me 60.00 for that sage advice. HUGE MISTAKE LEAVING KAISER PERMENENTE!

For being the first time there very pleased with the front desk receptionist, how ever I was there due to a procedure that needed to be attended but due to having one doctor 🧑‍⚕️ the procedure was not able to be treated, which they informed everyone that only 15 people in total were going to be seen, and I was willing to stay there till everyone was attended however they didn’t do so, and once I was put in the room to be checked out I waited there 1 hr to be exact because I was tracking the time I was there with Pain and once the doctor came in all that he did was checked me out and said I needed to go to my primary doctor to get this resolved and proscribed antibiotics (which I’m grateful) however that took 3-5 minutes to complete and I just felt that to be Urgent Care means is urgent..I just feel that they failed me due to the lack of attention..Maybe for other that don’t have an Urgency and can wait this is the right doctor for them..but for me is a NO GO..

Although all the staff are extremely friendly and considerate they have terrible communication skills when it comes to my personal request being added to my file . First time I ever went here I waited in the room for over an hour just to get a 10 minutes physical which no results were taken into action. After being told false information and being forced to pay a copay that wasn’t even required I wasted hours there for no results . Definitely don’t go here unless it’s a literal emergency, even still you might have to wait hours.

After I singed in, the staff was complaining and arguing because the Paramount location was sending them patients. They loudly complained and called the other location asking why they were sending them patients if they had a pediatric Dr at their location. Then they talked about how Paramount was also sending patients to the Lynwood location. I found it very unpleasant and unprofessional. We are patients waiting to be seen, and we felt very uncomfortable and unwanted.If you dont want to receive patients or you dont like your job, then look for somewhere else to work. You are at Urgent Care, what do you expect? Not to have any patients?The nice Doctor who saw us and the lady who took my daughters vitals made me give you 3 stars. Front desk, extremely unprofessional!!

I was very impressed with the care and professionalism of this facility. I took my mother-in-law and the nurses and staff were very kind, caring and skillful. Kenia Watkins, the Physician Assistant at AME, treated my mother-in-law with great care and spoke perfect Spanish! I was not needed as an interpreter. Watkins was thorough with excellent bedside manners! My mother-in-law also expressed how very pleased she was with this urgent care facility and especially with Watkins!

I have received treatment twice that this facility and was given stellar service from the moment I walked in the door. My most recent visit was met with a compassionate, caring nurse and a doctor who took his time (Dr. Bailey) not only diagnosing me but explaining all the ins and outs of my diagnosis. However after waiting in the waiting for over an hour covered in sweat and body aches they tell me that I am not accepted there. Not crowded. After filling out online forms the wait was less than 15 minutes. It was Monday morning after 9:30 a.m. Staff was efficient and all seemed to know their positions well. I had Physician asst. Aaron Lee. Conversant and smart-a pleasant visit!Staff cleaned wax out of my ears and a prescription for ear drops sent to my pharmacy. One ear wasnt wax, it was an ear infection! Thank you urgent care!

I went to this urgent care not feeling well, and everyone is really nice. I waited for about 30 minutes before getting my vitals checked first then was sent to another room to wait for the doctor and waited for about 25 minutes to be seen by him Dr. Jonathan Audu was very nice and understanding while listening to my health complaints.He gave me prescriptions for exactly what I needed to feel better and I’m very grateful for that. I definitely recommend going here for anyone who needs urgent care.

Went in for urgent care at 3pm on Saturday 8/5 (they close at 5) I was told they are not taking patients! 2 hours before closing. Asked for a covid test, so they said I would get results in 1-2 days. Here I am, Friday 8/11 with no results! Are we really supposed to wait that long? All they did was collect my copay! I have been to at least three of your locations for either myself who suffers from allergies and asthma or my little one who has suffered from croup for several years.They give a thorough exam and always listens to the concerns of the patient/parent. Most of the staff here are air heads. They called my name and put me in a room without taking my vitals first then came back and did not know what room the vitals were in, then finally put me in there and the nurse in red was rude asking me if I had an apt and I told her I was a walk in. She told me I had to go to the front, which was weird because I had waited in the FRONT lobby for 2 hours until I was called. I told her I was called in and she verified with a nice nurse but was rude asking who would take my vitals because she had to go clean room 3 whatever that means. Luckily the nice nurse offered to take my vitals and she was the sweetest thing. I saw a student physician and she was very sweet and friendly. I def prefer the paramount location. More competent staff there.

I give it one star because the Dr was just nice. The staff was nice. The waiting room is disgusting looks like there’s mold coming up from the floor. They take you to into the exam room the chairs are stained badly. The sink faucet had calcium build up and is very old. Walls and molding around the floor are terrible it felt very un sterile. I don’t know how this place got 4 and a half stars. I went to another Urgent care that got 3 stars it was super sterile and super great staff and super Dr.

I’ve been taking my kids and coming to this Urgent Care for about 3 years now. My children’s ages vary from 3 to 14. The staff is friendly and the doctors I’ve encountered so far have been great! There are different doctors so you don’t always get the same one but my experience with all of them has been great so far. Differently beats going to the ER and waiting 4+ hours for a fever or ear ache on a Saturday or Friday night!… I took my 11 year old for an ear ache last night and the PA that attended him was very attentive, we had a way better service than his regular doctor sadly, so I’ve decided I will be changing my son’s regular doctor. Anyway, I definitely would recommend!

First off, I would like everyone to know that everyone here is not being paid to be there. They are just doing their hours. This is why the personnel is always changing. This was where my PCP was. I finally changed it because their referral department couldn’t do their job right. I needed a referral to a specialist and obviously a referral needs codes so the specialist can know what I need done. Something these people do not know how to do. I was back and fourth with these people for 3 1/2 weeks trying to get a referral, and every time I would call the referral department they would hang up on me since they already knew who I was, from all the times I called to inform them they were still incorrectly inputting the referral. My sister works in the medical field and she had to call them to tell them which codes to input. Something they should already be trained to do. I am convinced that these people don’t know what they are doing and are obviously careless. But this is not their fault, this is AME Medical Group’s fault. For not providing the proper training prior to them assisting patients. I have changed my PCP, therefore, I am so relieved I won’t have to deal with them anymore. The girls and the doctors in the office are always nice but unfortunately, that doesn’t help with my health issues.

Everyone here was so helpful from the very beginning. I called before going to make certain they accepted my insurance and then when I arrived I had to call and have someone help me find the door and each time, the front desk lady was so sweet in helping me. At the time I went, there were no wait times and I was seen almost immediately. I told her my symptoms and what was going on so we took some tests and that was so quick as well! I definitely recommend this Urgent Care for anyone in the area! I came to this clinic in September 22 due to an infection from the Influenza virus. The reception person was pretty straightforward and kind to me. I didnt wait very long in the waiting room to see the doctor. (About 20-25 mins) The PA was very kind and fast to diagnose and prescribe my medication. I also quickly received a doctors note because of my absence from work. I did not have a hard time here. I would recommend this location if you need quick treatment.

The doctor visit went fine, it didn’t take too long to see a doctor, the only reason a don’t give 5 star is because they sent the prescription electronically and the pharmacy was closing when my son went to get it, I immediately call the doctor’s office to ask them to send it to another pharmacy and was not able to get anyone to pick up the phone the two times I called they said they are open from 9-9 but they don’t pick up their phones, I left a message because they said they will return the call within 30 minutes, they didn’t return the call at all! and I spent the whole night managing to feel better, very disappointed with customer service. I learned something it’s better to get the prescription yourself and take it to the pharmacy and they can also sent the electronically one, you never know what can go wrong.

There was a mix up on my doctors appointment upstairs. I ended up getting seen at urgent care since they said they sometimes take their appointments there. I payed a copayment and at the end they ended up telling me they couldnt see me because what I went in there for they didnt do. I asked for a refund or for them to void my copayment since I didnt get anything done and pretty much just waited for nothing. One of the girls refused and said they needed to go through a manager. I came into the Downey location two hours before closing. I was very happy that I was seen and treated within an hour, especially because I was having a migraine. Check in was simple and quick, the great thing about their check in system is that they give you a live list of how many people are ahead of you and keep it updated so your not guessing how long more are you going to wait to be seen. The MA who took my vitals seemed nervous but did a good job. The dr was quick and understanding to my situation. The receptionist was kind. The thing that wins me over with this clinic is that the doctor accidentally sent a prescription that was discontinued, so i called the clinic 20 minutes before closing and they were very quick to fix the problem, they kept me on the phone with them the whole time to make sure I knew they were on it. I love this urgent care. So much better than MedPost.

I have visited this urgent care location twice and all I must say is that they are quick. To me that is a good thing, I like to be in and out of doctors offices so this placed worked perfect for me. The office is located on the bottom floor with a good size waiting room. My daughter and I called prior to coming in, were screened by phone, and told to come in. We got here and were met at the door by Zenayada. When she came Out she was wearing her mask right up to her top lip, but had her nose completely exposed as she was doing a second screening. She was Not wearing gloves as she kept opening and closing the door to ask her MD questions, and handling the thermometer. I told her she wasn’t wearing her mask as she should and she laughed and left her nose exposed. She then goes back in comes out and said she can’t help us. because my daughter has a fever. When I called back to tell the PA, as there is no DOCTOR on staff today, about how their protocols are being pushed on patients but employees seem to be exempt all she could do was talk in circles to try and change the subject. Point being, if their own staff isn’t taking precautions to prevent the spread of the virus, are we safe to go in there???UPDATE!! As I was reading the reviews and replies, I noticed that most of their replies to our comments are the same! As if they are just copying and pasting them. Its a generic, maybe even automated response!! They aren’t even paying mind to patient concerns!! Good luck to those of you who end up at this clinic!!

The Dr. at the AME Urgent care was really nice and Caring. I had problems with dizziness and my daughter told me I could have fluid in my ears. The Dr. checked real good. I didn’t have fluid in my ears but the left ear was cloudy which might be the beginning of an ear infection. She gave me a prescription for the dizziness. She said if I get bad pain in my ears then she will need to give me an antibiotic. She wants me to follow up with my ENT dr. When I shared with her about my heart problems she listened to my heart to make sure the dizziness wasn’t due to my heart. She checked my balance and everything else.

I saw Dr. Watkins during an urgent care visit. She was honest and made me feel really comfortable. She also told me what to say/expect when I followed up with my primary care physician.

I love this urgent care. It moves pretty fast and we get seen andnout of there pretty quickly and drs are very knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely recommend this facility to anyone.

My daughter and I went on Janurary 5th to get a covid test, paid the $50. Here we are 5 days later with no results! Their excuse is that theyre busy. My cousin went on the LA County covid testing website to make her appointment. After her appointment she got her results within 30 hours. There is no way this place is busier than the LA County testing sites! I think theyre a bunch of crooks! Save your money and time by going to the la county FREE covid testing websites and book your appointment!

Wasnt feeling well so I went to AME urgent care. The staff is really nice and very helpful. The doctor gave me a prescription and I feel much better. Thank you for your service.
