I had a great time participating in the program & was surrounded by really kind people. I am grateful to Ms. Patrice, my instructor, for sharing her teaching style with me. It was a huge guidance for me during my externship. In addition to teaching our class when Ms. Patrice wasnt there, I would like to thank Ms. Paula for her suggestions that were helpful & boosting my self-assurance. I want to express my gratitude to Katrina from the Career Service for her kind assistance with my resume & for responding to my requests for information. She was enjoyable to talk to & very understanding. I would also like to express my gratitude to my classmates as well as my instructor for their support & faith during my time at Unitek. Overall, the program was an amazing experience for me.

The career services was a great aspect to the program! Mamata really helped me with my resume and made it perfect. She took time out of her busy day to help accommodate my schedule and I really appreciated it! Now I am able to use my resume to help secure a job as an LVN :)

I went to Unitek for the MA program and enjoyed it very much. Ms. Catherine Camara is one of the best instructors on site, she cares very much about all of her students and wants to see all be successful. I can also say Katrina was one of the best career advisors, she was always there for me and giving me advice and setting up for the best success.

I am a recent graduate of the medical assisting program and I absolutely loved my time at this campus. The teachers, Ms. P and Ms. Paula, are great and really take the time to work with each individual student to ensure success. Katrina in the career center works closely with each student to create and update their resumes and boost interview skills. She is a fount of career knowledge.

My time here at (Unitek) was so wonderful from my instructors to admin. Everyone was so nice and helpful through my journey as in a medical assistant. I would definitely recommend (Unitek) for my friends and family. This school made my college experience meaningful. The staff really cares about the students and they do anything they can to help support us and get us through the program. A special s/o to Katrina in career services for guiding me through the career aspect of medical assisting, she helped me prepare myself for real world situations! Also s/o to my two lovely MA instructors Paula Yee and Patrice Suttle without them I wouldn’t have been able to make it. The constant support and encouragement from them was exactly what I neeeded to finish school.

I would definitely recommend Unitek College in Fremont to anyone who is interested on taking their programs. Everyone is very helpful from the day of registration all the way to getting a job after completing or graduating from the program. Based on my experience, I would say the financial services needs a little improvement. However, I really appreciate all the staff especially Theresa Minjares for guiding me on how to get started, Patrice Suttle who always finds her way to show her appreciation to her students, Paula Yee who is so busy being my theory teacher, subbing for other instructors, and being my externship coordinator but still find her ways to help her students, and of course, Katrina Gardner who helped me improve a lot answering interview questions and writing my resume.

I haven’t started and don’t plan to any chance of me starting the LVN program and Unitek is over. Amparo Hernandez is a very unprofessional trying to give me unsolicited life advice that I did not ask for. If I want it life advice I would ask my therapist not a admissions clerk, she said a couple of slick remarks and I brushed it under the rug then she continue getting a smart mouth. Trying to tell me what I should and shouldn’t put first asked me how much money I had in my account saved for the program which is a very inappropriate question to ask it isn’t her damn business. Then continue on saying that maybe this is why I was referred to the MA program no one referred me to anything I did the NA program because that is what I wanted to do with the time. She spoke as if she know me in real life and what I got going on I hung up in her face I don’t tolerate disrespect from nobody.

Unitek College was a great overall learning experience, dont regret it all. The ongoing support from all staff during my time there was appreciable. Both my theory instructors (Ms.Melanie & Ms.Paula) and lab instructor (Ms.Patrice) are incredible instructors that devote their time and effort in making a remarkable experience for students during our time at school. I appreciate all staff and support from all departments of Unitek; including our career services department with Courtney and Lisa.Thank you, definitely would recommend to friends and family!

I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Patrice my laboratory instructor and Ms. Perez. Both have mentored me & helped me become the MA I am today. Ms. Lisa Haynes in Career Services is a hard worker & goes to bat for her students. I received a job offer during my externship, that was too good to pass up as a new grad, thanks to her guidance. I recommend taking your MA in the day class as the PM class lacks structure & professionalism with one particular teacher…that is the only reason I left off a star.The school itself has a fully functioning lab for clinical experience, is safe, clean, holds dinners or gives treats for student morale and tuition is less than other schools in the Bay Area.

I havent even started and Im already writing a review. First off, Amparo Hernandez from admissions was unprofessional and unethical trying to give me life advice, if I really needed life advice I definitely wouldnt go to an admissions clerk!!! All you need to be doing is giving information about the program thats all. Also, she was making comments about how I cant be rescheduling my appt with her and that she wont put up with it. When in reality she was the one who pushed back my 03:30pm appt so I had to reschedule .( I have proof of our text conversations) Youre not the ONLY ONE on a time schedule, Im also BUSY !! Another comment that came out of her mouth Im the one who picks the Candidates Joel (talking like they are the only nursing school in the world) . To finalize the call she was like Im going to send you links with all the information and you need to finish testing this weekend. Ill see you Monday at 07:40am and hung up. Im glad they are a recorder line for training purpose apparently. You definitely need training.

I started the program with Ms Perez as my lab instructor and ended with Ms Patrice. Im older, laid off from a 25yr career and didnt know what to do with my life let alone where to start. Ms Perez and Ms Patrice made learning so easy, fun and amongst all, they made it interesting and made me feel excited to keep attending. The process at Unitek is easy to complete due to the communication level the staff has with their students. My career advisor, Ms Lisa is great! Ms Lisa Literally held my hand through the exiting process, kept in touch throughout my externship, made sure I was staying sane throughout the process of going to extern, working nights and taking care of my family. Walked me through my application process for a job, held my hand through the interview process, kept in touch throughout the whole process until I got an offer letter!!!! My experience with everyone at Unitek was great, but my experience with Ms Lisa is one that needs to be recognized!!!!

Instructors are professional with vast and extensive work experiences. They are genuinely caring and helpful for the sucess of the student and learning environment. Each department provided substantial support that made going through the program easier. Courtney and Rachel with Career Services gave us the confidence and tools to help make the transition from student life into the working world smooth.

I had the best instructors here at Unitek College. I learned so much from the program i took which it was Medical Assisting. The staff are great and very helpful with everything, I appreciate all the help I have recieved from the staff and everyone here at Unitek College.I recommend this College to everyone that wants to be in the Medical Field you learn so much from it. Great, if like a fast pace and a rigorous course but the outcome is well worth it. One of the instructors Ms. Zenia was so helpful, her teaching style was informative and easy to follow, which really helped me when I had a subject I didnt understand.

I took a class with Unitek about a year ago, and while the class was pretty good, it took them over 3 months to get me my promo item (a $500 amazon gift card). The instructor flat out said in class that he was going to ignore Uniteks lab equipment for the in-class labs because it wasnt set up correctly, but the instructor was VERY good and even had remote lab equipment we used that was set up perfectly for the labs. I might consider going back to Unitek for another course, but if I do, Ill go into it ready for the hassle and headache that come with it.

It has been several years since my time as a student at Unitek College. Therefore the focus on this review is based on my post graduate interactions as an Alumni of their LVN to ADN program. Following completion of their nursing program I was thrown into a competitive market where employers demand a minimum of one year experience. However, I needed an entry job to build that one year experience and most entry Registered Nursing jobs require one year experience. Uniteks post grad job assistance program helped me land that first job. Further down the road, I began my pursuit for higher education and encountered a few roadblocks requiring credit validation. Unitek advocated for me writing verification letters, sending certification and pretty much was there assisting and helping me in any way they could in a positive, caring, timely manner. This means a lot to me. In summation, once you join the Unitek family, they WILL take care of you.

My advice to everybody that is interested in this IT program is to keep looking and do not go here. They will make false promises before you enroll to get you enrolled. The classes are really rushed and there is barely any hands on training anymore. And overall the school itself is really unorganized. KEEP LOOKING I promise you’ll find something better.

Google makes you mark a star or you cant post. so I did otherwise I would not mark anything.This school (if you wanna call it that) is a joke, and I feel sorry for the teachers there. My wife just finished the online course and the teachers are amazing. The online system needs a lot of work. I felt like she was doing classes, in the stone ages with Dial up. Its all about the money to them, and I am considering legal action for her to get her 10 thousand back. Its a joke 8 months all that money, and almost perfect grades she cant take the credits anywhere else.Admissions bait and mislead her, left out very important information about the TEAS test. Now after all the money (CASH) spent and all great grades, she is told she has to wait another year to take the test again. (HELL NO) why so they can add more requirements and cost her more money? She was not informed, and the employee that did this is no longer there so of course no one has to take responsibility for the SCHOOLS actions. The Financial department doesnt seem to know how to fill forms out right and it took 6 months, and countless calls. Out of the 8 months for them to get a form done to defer old loans, and up to 15 emails and 4 people to seem to get right another form right. Customer Service is not a word in this place (cant even call it a school) that should be used. They should be investigated and funding pulled by the state. My next writing is to the board, and our congressmen about this location to do just that. We are left with waiting a year and having to pay more money, or switch schools lose money and time to start over, or what has happened leaving someone heart broken and ready to just not follow her dream. These so called professionals have killed the desire and dream of a great nurse, and she is woman that treats this field with passion and conviction. One that gives true care to the people she cares for. She is the definition of the word NURSE. The people at UNITEK College should learn from her. Stand up be a SCHOOL and what the word means, care for your students, nurture the dreams and desires. Support and help reach their goals, not take someones time away from family and hard earned savings killing the desire to continue. I read all the other reviews here, if anyone also wants to contact the board and help shut them down please email me I will forward you the needed information.By the way My wife had all As and one B, also on the third attempt did reach the required score on the TEAS test to move on, but the timeline and guidelines where not given or told ahead of time so she is now being told she has to wait a year to do it again. I did the I.T 9month program and wish I went somewhere else. I wasted $15,000 this school is over priced and dont even give a option to have a physical book. They rush you through schooling and dont give you time to take your cert after you finish your class. YOU HAVE ONLY 18 months voucher for your certs after you graduate. I later found out about The Stride Center in Oakland that works on getting all their students scholarships for students making funding easy and actually work with students prepair to get their certs & classes are longerr &cheaper!!!. Unitek only cares for their students payments instead of motivating their students. they lost a lot of good teachers. They are way too strict on attedance and find it stupid that they think we can learn everything about A+, Networking &Security each in 5 weeks. I wish I never invested soo much in Unitek.

This school is a LIE.. they rush you to get your loan approve so they can get their money. After taking all my pre requisites I was hoping that all I need to worry is my TEAS but one day i was ask to come down to the campus to have a meeting with one of the admission consultant. The consultant told me that I have to retake all my subject to boost up my grades in order for me to get into the program! I was so shock thinking about the time, effort and money that I spent just for the pre requisites. are you kidding me??Who ever read this; BEWARE coming to this school. This is not what I was told the first day I started the class with them... so FAKE.. God Bless all the victim to this school.They should help their students to get in to the program not to take classes again and pay another $1500 each of the subject. So disappointed!!!

Worst place ever! Went here a few years ago without really knowing what I wanted. I was a scared 18 year fresh out of high school looking for some guidance. I was mainly interested in anything medical but was also curious about IT since I always had a knack at computers and tech stuff. When I asked about it the guy made me feel like crap! Literally gave me a smirk and asked if I was serious, even told me he didnt think it would be a good fit. I walked out and never went back. I know he only said that because I was a girl! Something I will seriously never ever forget! I continued to look into the medical field and now I am pretty successful and happy with my job! Dont go here! Look for place where you will feel encouraged to grow.They are also a rip off! I found a different school with the same Pharmacy Tech program that charged about $8,000 less then here! Boston Reed College look it up.

I found a good school after leaving Unitek and it was $4000 less and they actually value there student...Unitek college was my first college ever after graduating from high school and i had really high hopes but everything was a lie from the very first day!! They didnt tell us that we have to additional $3000 for prerequisites they said the program is for only $32000 but actually its for $35000 and they dont tell you on the first day that if you fail one semester you have to pay another $7000 to redo it..instructiors intentionally fail you for smallest mistakes ever so that you fail and repeat the course again and thats how theu make monry..please people I highly recommend you guys not to go to that college...

Took a CCNP course here. They load you up with plenty of knowledge and material. While they do prepare you to pass the certification tests, they get into a lot of material not on the tests or in the canned course from Cisco. That being said, Cisco tests on a lot of topics not in their own official study guides or courses.

I do not recommend taking any courses in the IT program here. It was the worst training Ive ever attended and there was no hands-on training. It was very disorganized and unprofessional and I felt cheated of my time.
