Wouldnt write a review if it hadnt happened 3 times already. Maybe theyre just too cool to help anyone that isnt buying a gun. But Ive tried to go in there before to buy fishing gear and they treat you like you have a contagious disease. Know one bothers to even ask if you need anything or have any questions. I already knew what I wanted and was gonna spend 500 plus on a combo, line and tackle, but they literally just left me waiting there for over a half hour like a moron with my 2 kids. All they had to do was grab my reel so I could check out. As I gave up to walk out. The guy by the door just said sorry, they must be busy and laughed as I walked out. Must have been the owner to not care about losing money like that over something that wouldve taken 30 seconds. Should have just gone to bob sands like I always do. Theyre marked up like crazy anyway. Save yourself the trouble.

Turners Outdoorsman Reseda Lies! Management sucks too. They offer discount & estimate when the item will arrive, then they put you on a separate list to wait behind any and all full price customers that come after you. 1-2 weeks at the most they say, (A month later they explain after multiple calls and multiple lies about how itll be here with the next shipment.) Mgr. ZACH says, sorry sucker you gotta keep waiting for however long it takes or pay full price. Manager Zach has no Empathy. He is rude and pretends to be offended if you use a swear word explaining your plight even when you explain you are not swearing at him. This faux outrage comes after he pretends to check how he can help but later explains he wont do anything after a month of calling and waiting. Dont get me started on the lines there. Its common to wait literally hours to get help. JUST NOT WORTH THE B.S. Ive demanded my money back. Save yourself and go elsewhere.

The wait times are definitely excessive, and the employees have the personality of Hyenas. These people genuinely dont like their jobs, and it shows. Most of them dont really want to help you, but they have no choice.

Came here today to buy a firearm. Bruce helped me out. 10/10 customer service from Bruce. What a great guy. Explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. All of the employees I had contact with today were absolutely awesome. Good experience, will definitely be coming back. Great prices, neat store, awesome employees. Cant ask for a more pleasant experience.

Since the first time I visited Turners store in Reseda Gena was a great help and she always answered all my questions. I never felt any pressure to buy. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I plan on being her customer in the future.

Ive been purchasing from here for years, some of the employees remember me most dont. They are mostly rude except for a few like randy who has always been nice. Recently went in for a pickup, asked some routine questions because we do live in a draconian state with dumb laws, the guy behind the counter Raul started freaking out and said hes being recorded and he doest know me, and doesnt want to be sued. Kinda was taken back at that bizarre response when just wanting to know how potential laws will affect my purchases. If youre uncomfortable working in a gun store pal maybe you should just find a new line of work. I will take my business to other gun stores, Id rather make the drive. Beginning to realize Turners isnt pro-2a just pro making money, they are part of the problem.

Went in for a purchase of a Howa 1500, I had my FFL03 and COE, lady refused to run my DROS using my FFL and COE stating that it wouldn’t be affected by the 1 in 30 if I had purchased another firearm using the FFL. Even though my purchase of the HOWA 1500 went fine, their worker gave false information causing my other firearms to be rejected due to this workers incompetence and laziness even though I insisted they use my license. As well as the COE being replacing my FSC which they did not honor. This place has a lack of knowledge regarding local laws, and i will not be coming back here

100% better than the Santa Clarita location in terms of 2A compliance, knowledge and wait time. They have long wait times but handle everyone accordingly it’s mainly just always busy, Santa Clarita location would be empty and you’re still looking at a 2-3 hr process to dros a firearm due to lack of knowledge

Young guys were cool and helpful but they are under staffed… there is no rush at all !!! trying to help you and there is always a line … no stools no sitting places I waited an hour and half to take the test after I finished the test which took me 10 minutes it took another 35 minutes for someone to Take the test from me and when I said something, I got an attitude back the place was not over packed, just a bunch of people talking about guns taking there sweet sweet time

Went to pick up my gun after waiting 10 days, had to wait another 2 hours when I got there… just to pick up my gun. Don’t waste your time, plenty of other gun stores where they don’t make you wait. Such a joke. EDIT: here’s a solution. Say you have 5 employees working. Assign 3 of them to only take care of firearm sales, and the other 2 can handle quicker things, like selling ammunition and to help people picking up their recently purchased “smoke wagon”. Get it together

A bit of a wait but they were busy and had a bunch of workers at the counter. Very friendly staff it seemed, Cameron handled my order and all went well. A lot of people were chit chatting the workers which probably made it take longer. Wait your turn and you’ll get the staffs undivided attention just like everyone else. Coming in with a bit of knowledge, not asking excessive stupid questions, and not taking up your and their valuable time with useless conversation, will make things go by faster and smoother.

I head in the other day and they tell me they stop helping at the gun counter at 6. I get in today before 6 and the manager basically says they can stop helping at whatever time based on his discretion. Just make the drive to San Fernando or burbank and support local. The prices here arent much better anyways.

My only complaint but there is always a line for the gun counter and one must take a number and wait an excessive amount of time in order to be served.Otherwise the store is easily accessible off of the 101 freeway / Tampa.The fishing side of the store is quite well stocked.From my last visit it does appear as though they are closing down certain displays and starting to stock different products, I love the 5.11 display has been completely taken down as one example.Otherwise staff is friendly and generally speaking display good product knowledge.

Ridiculously long line on a Tuesday at 11am, waited an hour as I was interested in putting a gun on consignment. The female manager told me it was only worth $350 at most and didnt want to list it higher even though it was worth more and they had off roster glocks for well over $1500. I ended up selling it privately for $550 2 days later.

Yeah I love the people and the store. Everyone is always nice and respectful to me. Theres one thing I would change when they have an ammunition sale. They should have an express lane for ammunition purchases only. It would cut down on the gigantic hour and a half weight to do anything. Other than that, keep up the good work

Probably one of the cheapest places in town but you definitely get what you pay for. Ive come to buy ammo on 2 occasions and its ridiculous. If your time isnt valuable it might be a good way to save a few bucks but its taken over an hour on both occasions to make a purchase. You basically have to wait in line with the gun sales/deliveries etc. I called to see if that policy was still in place this weekend and yep - it is. I guess its a corporate thing (thats what I was told at least). I will not be going there for anything now since its just a bad experience all around. Go see your local independent dealer and support their business if you value your time and youll probably get better advice and support too.

Super long wait, the slowest Turner’s I’ve been to. Upon both walking in and checking out, the lady at the front desk had a very unwelcoming demeanor. Looked at me and said nothing upon entering, no smile, etc.During check-out, same type of treatment. Very verbally short and unfriendly.But hey, I got what I wanted for like $90 off retail 🤷🏼‍♂️

I love Turner’s, but this location is no good. It’s understaffed, and the staff they have are rude and condescending, even to military and LEO. I’ve ordered multiple products through the store and the ship times from the warehouse are always 1-2 weeks longer than projected. Very disappointing. I recommend the Santa Clarita or Pasadena stores.

Honestly, just an okay experience. Went in over 2 months ago and waited in line for 2 hours to be able to take the firearm safety test and place an order. (As with many places, theyre out of stock on a lot of things, which is completely understandable.) When I placed my order, I was told I would be able to make appointments to (1) come in and finish paperwork and (2) pickup the order (as opposed to standing in line 2 more times). Now, they’re not taking appointments, and it can be difficult to connect with them over the phone. While all of the employees I talked to were very nice, I would definitely recommend looking to go somewhere else, where they are more well-organized and able to take appointments.

I would not recommend this location AT ALL. I came to buy ammo. My girlfriend and I literally stood there at gun counter without a single person acknowledging us or asking if we needed help. Staff is EXTREMELY rude and inconsiderate. I have been shopping at Turners for 20 years and have always had a pleasant experience with them. Until today. Will not be returning until staff is replaced or retrained. They need SERIOUS customer service skills.

There was a huge crowd waiting, and this 60 tear old guy is hitting on this 40 year old chick for 30 mins. While we all waitrd..its was like ask her out or get her number already this counter time is not the date. There were 4 or 4 guys at the counter hustling with people. The prices were right the place us good, but its very frustrating how much I know about him now . He buys a gun for himself on his birthday, and omg. I had an awesome time here at Turners. Needed to get gear for my first tuna trip and one of the workers took time out of his lunch break to get all the gear we need and how to use it. Very knowledgeable and a friendly guy. Prices there were relatively well priced. Although i have seen others saying customer service was bad, I would disagree. No long lines when I went there and had a nice experience. Definitely recommend coming here!

Initially when I came two weeks ago, I loved the service. It was a lot like REI. They didn’t care if you were a LEO, a king, or average civilian. 🗣️ Wait your turn. Those with a turn, got UNDIVIDED attention. Beyond phenomenal. Update: today I had my first interaction w/Mgr Gina. I didn’t know she was mgr but remembered the side eye she gave me on my 1st visit. Even the Sgt before me, kept looking at her … looking at me, & gave me his number to boost my place in line. He said he’d be back the following day. So today, Gina showed her extreme ISLAM-O-PHOBIA! She went in the back room mocking me to other employees & they had definitely acted differently from the 1st visit … after they took her lead on bigotry… rather than do the right thing and know that our constitution is everything to our country. My family has served EVERY generation for my religious rights. My son enlisted as well… ensuring we keep our freedoms. People like Gina have no place in America. DT is real and Gina should not be in her position. Especially considering this store was founded by a woman. Miss Shirley. This will not be tolerated and addressed accordingly.

The salespeople were rude and condescending. I asked a simple question about me starting paperwork (which would have saved a few minutes) and a sales guy decided he needed to be rude and ignorant. When he was finished with his rant, two more employees stepped in and decided their unwanted, misinformed and disrespectful attitude needed to be made apparent. If I had not already put a deposit on parts, I would have left. I think it was Bryan who finally helped me and was helpful, courteous and polite. In the past Ive bought reloading supplies but stopped as their selection is horrible with a sad excuse for employees. I will not return and will guide all my friends and anyone I can into steering clear of this place and the inconsiderate employees who work here.

Long wait times, best selection for the price in the Valley. Great prices on special orders too. I think my average wait time here is a little over an hour. So even if your first in line, the paper work and the process takes time. Dont be in a rush, be pleasant and they will give you fantastic service. I will be back.

If I could give the Pasadena and reseda locations zero stars I would. The employees are not engaging nor move with any urgency. Today in the reseda location I waited 2 hours before I gave up. The firearms counter clerks help one person roughly every 30min. There were 9 employees behind the counter with only 2 helping anybody at any given time. They would help one person then head to the front of the store to chat with other employees for 15 min or so. Before I left there were 35 people waiting for various things. They have a terrible service model and have lost our business for good.

I have purchased most of my firearms here and will continue to do so. They have a great knowledgeable, friendly staff. The only thing wrong with this place is the rude customers that wonder in and expect the employees to drop everything and tend to only them. They do a great job handling the large volume of customers that come in everyday. If you expect to buy a firearm and walk out with it in ten minutes in California, then you are beyond help.

This store is a perfect example of how a business SHOULD NOT be run. Long lines (average waiting time to get served is 1 hour during the regular days and up to 2 (!!!!) hours on the weekends), not-so-friendly staff, lots of new guys who really dont know what they are doing. Ive been shopping in this store for a decade, and during this time the ENTIRE team has been fully replaced 5 times! Actually, a brand-new team every two years. I guess it says a lot about their quality and expertness.

Reserve the whole day if you decide to buy something from the counter. Most employees seem like they are being forced to work there. There is nobody smiling or happy to help. You have to grab a number and even to call the number the employees seem to suffer. There is a bunch of them behind the counter. Only two seem to be working. If the customer needs to do paperwork, they stop helping other customers until paperwork is complete. It took me about 1h just to have my number called and there was only 3-4 people in front of me. The only reason its not getting 1 star is because the person that helped me, was actually the one of the few that not looked angry and frustrated and was actually super nice. Also for the ladies working the cashier who were also nice. I guess the only reason I would come back is to take advantage of the promotions, and even then, only if it is a lot of savings.

If you can find a way to talk to the Manager - - then you can discuss and even get very good recommendations from the manager BEHIND the Counter. With the other guys who know products in the glass cases, my experience has shown how much disparity there is between their best Salesman and the new/opinionated rookies are at dealing with tougher questions and how knowledgeable they truly are. Nobody seems to have any ill-intent at Turners but there is really no standard-level for their salespeople and that wild-west sort of experience makes me wonder if it is really worth it to take-a-number and wait the typical 20-mins to have a salespersons undivided attention.Priced are almost fair when compared with online shopping. Selection is not bad, but they tend to run out of the more hot/interesting items more than a couple of other brick-&-mortar stores in the LA-area.

The staff are helpful and friendly. This store is pretty much the go to place for firearms and firearms related purchases in the San Fernando Valley. Purchased a weapon here, went to pick it up and was presented with a different weapon from the one I originally ordered. The one they were trying to give me was approximately $150 less in value then what I purchased.When I pointed out their error, I was told there was nothing they would do fix it. I offered several solutions to them, the easiest being was to simply credit me the difference however they continued to refuse.The sales clerk was very apologetic and tried to fix it however management was unwilling to do anything to correct their error. Nice selection on firearms for the most part, but the customer service flat out sucks. These guys think they know it all (which anyone should be in the career they choose?) but they are rude about it. I stood in front of the counter for about half a hour as they take their sweet time making themselves look busy stocking and what not. I drove thirty minutes after work, so I wasnt going to leave without gathering some information as I am new to this. Long story short, I spent $2,000 elsewhere on two firearms I wanted. Im in a much harder industry than selling firearms over a counter, and I treat my customers way better than this place.

I dont live that close to this location. But I went here because my friend lives around there and she couldnt drive me, so I drove to her. After reading the reviews, I didnt think I would like it. I am a female in my 20s and thought they would look at me as if I didnt know anything. Everyone there was very nice. Came in to buy my little brother a fishing rod. I waited 15 or 20 minutes at the fishing section for help. they finally sent the lady over to help me who had no idea what she was talking about regarding any the fishing equipment. This is our experience . This place has horrible customer service. I watched two workers behind the counter laugh at my boyfriend the moment he turned around from them, mocking him. Due to their chaotic work methods, people who were being helped first were often overlooked for people who just walked in. Unfortunatly I live about 15 mins walking distance and regretably come here often because its convenient and i am always fishing and need supplies. Its usually a 1 stop shop for me. I would love this place if it were not for the extremley unwelcoming attitudes of most of the employees. Everytime i come in i have a bag from the previouse store i visited with waterbottles in them since im on foot i like to keep 2 bottles of water To keep hydrated.I am always very politly asked if i am putting items in my bag and that i should go leave it in front. Lol for example uuuh whats in the bag or have anything unpaid for in the bag, i understand why i am asked i guess i have to be okay with it. I respect the rules of the places i go to. But never am i asked if i need assistance ( i would always like assistance) and when i ask for assistance nobody is really willing or they act like im not important enough of a customer since im not buying expensive fishing equipment. I usually get pointed in the general direction of what im looking for. Last time i went was the day after black friday and i bought a rod and a few other things, went to the counter and asked if they could hook it up with some line and they said not today.... i come here 1 time a week for hooks, weights, and baits. I have shopped at Turner’s Reseda for over twenty years and typically have had good service, however today would be a strong exception. I went in to shop for a rod and reel for a friend. I spent about 30 minutes looking at rods and took a break and went to the reel counter, looked at the reels for a bit. No one came to assist, all the while I’m in direct eye line with the young man working the front desk.I go to the front carrying the rod I intended to purchase and asked, “ Is there someone who can assist me in fishing?” To which he responds, “ No, there’s no one to help you in fishing.” I was astonished. I bought a Thorsden Featurless 3rd gen stock from these guys. The clerk had to disassemble it to put it back in the box, he took it into the back office and proceeded to take it apart on a desk crowded with paperwork. He put it back in the box. It took him 30 minutes to do this and then brought it out to me. I asked him two times if he got everything, he assured me yes. He said dont worry. I asked because I knew he done this on this on an office desk instead of on a work bench or on the counter in front of me. Got home and they call to tell me they left out a pin, I had to drive all the way back 20 minutes from Simi Valley. These guys are sloppy and slow, I am not going back unless for great deals! I definitely would not get any of my weapons serviced by them!

Looks like Ill be adding another review about bad service that seems to be the norm at Turners.I went into Turners before and met with cold service as been reported on here many times. But this time took the cake.I just went in to find a crab measuring tool since they are also a fishing shop that carries crab fishing nets. And I did get my fishing license from there. After looking around myself for 10 minutes, I couldnt find it. In the back, there was an employee who was just standing around. I asked him for the tool and he said sorry, not his department and turned around to go to the back. Bear in mind this is a small store with just hunting and fishing.I didnt see anyone else so I stood in a long line at the checkout for about 10 minutes where I met Natalie. She asked me to wait a few while she checked out the people BEHIND me which I did, another 5 minutes.After she finally decided she can help me, she said she doesnt know anything about the store and that she she would get the manager. She went into the back and said he would be right out. 5 minutes later (guess he had more important things to do besides taking care of a customer), he came out. The managers name was Vincent. I asked him if he had a crab measuring tool and he started looking. A few minutes later another customer asked him for something else and he dropped my search to help the other customer. Another 5 minutes later Vincent came back and again asked what I was looking for. Again I asked him for a crab measuring tool and he actually asked me what would I use it for! I mean.. come on!After a few more minutes of searching for this, Vincent came back and said.. they dont carry that.30 minutes of my life wasted in this store that I will NEVER go to again. I didnt believe all these negative posts. I just had to find out for myself. They are all true. About the only thing positive I can say about them is the guy who washes the windows does a nice job. They are clean with no streaks.If you have to shop there, then I suppose you must. But, for me, Id rather pay more to anybody else. My trip there was a total waste of time.I came in to purchase a Glock. All Glocks were advertised as on sale. It was something like Gloctober special. I arrived on Saturday and was told that the special ended on Thursday. But, I still wanted the Glock. And, I wanted a couple of other big ticket items too. Im not really into spending a lot of time shopping around to save a few bucks. So, I decided to make my purchase in spite of the fact that I felt it was a classic bait and switch.So, the guy spent about two hours making the paperwork for my purchase. And, then, when he finishes, he puts this thing in front of me for me to sign called a layaway invoice. And, this invoice says that I need to pay 30% of my total, and if the sale was cancelled, I forfeit over $400.00. I told him that I was no interested in purchasing on layaway, and that I was prepared to pay the total purchase price. He explained that I was entitled to pay the entire price. But, if my sale was denied for any reason, they were still entitled to the $400.00. He tried to insinuate that it was California state law. While I would not expect to be denied, I do not see why Turners should profit so handsomely on my hard luck.End result. So when it comes to prices obviously you have to shop around, regardless I found Turners to be quite pricey compared to others such as Gun direct and Gun world in Burbank city, thats not why Im giving 1* (I wish I could give them -5* ) the reason is that I bought Rough Rider .22 Blue 6.5 or in other words the worst gun ever well I guess the last batch was defect, my gun was miss timing on left and right, Turners treated me like Im stranger that bothered them (that was after I bought several guns from them) 0 responsibility, 0 costumer service and 0 care, they told me straight up call to the manufacture I said I bought this gun from you not from them, manager said nothing we can do this Mickey Mouse gun cost me $160 (I got it to my girl) and now I have to deal with that, I dont understand why when I bought the gun they didnt offer me the manufacture connection but when there is issue they throw you to the manufacture, it cost me more to feed my family for lunch than this gun cost so I dont care about the money its about the principal, now dont get me wrong if it was one of these expensive guns I would be VERY upset but thanks God cost of learning was $160 and Ill never buy from them no more

March 8th 2021at 12:55pm, me trying to get a Firearm Safety Certificate, waited in line for 1 hr on non-busy day. Pass the test then wait again another 45mins to process and print your FSC card. The guy in the counter mispelled my name and some of the vital information, so make sure to double check. All in all it was a tedious day.

3 months ago my first experience to buy a gun in turners outdoorsman in RESEDA. I take the test and failed I ask the lady can you show me my mistakes she said NO you did not pass the test. What if I got all the correct answers and she said you failed the test without showing anything or explanations and worst experience ever waited almost 2 hours just for the test. I felt they were laughing at me so I basically left the store and they didnt say a word. I am so happy with other gun store.

I overheard him talking to one of the customer that he was helping beside me, the customer wanted to check and buy a semi auto riffle and this dude was insisting to sell him a bolt action instead and hes treating his customer like they dont have any knowledge about firearms, like hes the only one who knows about it. I bought my handgun 2 years ago here because I thought it was the only place to buy. Well now as I wish to pursue my hobby more I decided to go back yesterday. BIG MISTAKE! Picture the Simpsons comic store guy working at a gun shop. Now multiple that by their 7 employees working the gun counter. Their prices are inflated to start. Their employees down right rude. The corporate office is a joke. I sent 6 different emails to the company regarding their salesmen and 2 years later I still have yet to recieve a response.Do not buy from them at all. 5 miles away their is a place called the target range with a great selection and great staff as well. When you are going to spend $600 or more on a item you want the staff to make you feel comfortable. Why would you want to feel like your bothering them. Dont believe me? Read the reviews below or go to a local gun range and tell them you are thinking of buying from turners. They will simply laugh even if they dont sell weapons at that range. Turners reminds me of a exclusive little club and if you are not as experienced as them they will simply laugh at you.

While all reviews are subjective, I must say that my experience with Turners in Reseda was nothing less than wonderful. Specifically, the area of focus is on customer service in the fishing department with an employee named Owen. Owen provided the attention, patience, and knowledge necessary to help me in my purchase of a new Avet reel for tuna fishing. He was quick to give advice (without being pushy) but also knew when it was time to listen -- which is a trait that is hard to come by in most salesmen. As a captain in the fire service, I am constantly focused on customer service and providing the public with the best service possible. Owen demonstrated the professionalism and high-end customer service anyone could ask for during my experience at Turners. A+ for Owen and the fishing department.

Alright, so I understand that some of their products are in high demand and they have high customer volume, but THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. Lets cut to the burn. I went on a Wednesday to fill out my DROS form, got a number and waited...some moments later as I am called up the staffer attending to me acknowledges me briefly, then proceeds to leave to help someone else who got their number skipped over and didnt respond punctually. I was told to standby and wait for the next available staff member, after a while of waiting Im at the end of my rope on waiting and call up one of their employees behind the counter, to which he tells me to get a new number. I stormed out of that place, glad to save the rest of what remaining hours of the day I had. Oh, but this didnt end there, waited a few days, finally got my number after waiting, only to be ignored AGAIN by the female employee behind the counter with the same bull$h*t reassurance of standby, suffice to say I had to draw another number and finally get some service. In short, if you want to waste 6+ irreparable hours of your life waiting, being ignored by inattentive staff, youre just putting an extra hole in your head folks and better off taking your business anywhere but Turners in Reseda...Edit: Also the interior is run down, rain damage on the ceiling. Also Id give it negative stars if I could, not sure why it was posted as two.

Heres the thing I like about Turners Outdoorsman in Reseda. Ive been a Firearms enthusiastic for quite a while now I own a couple of firearms my collection ranges from your basic Glock to competition pistols. The staff at Turners is very friendly and laid-back unlike a lot of other gun shops where it almost feels like a pissing contest that only the sales person is participating in. This place seems more friendly. Its weird mixing men with egos and firearm sales. Keep up the good attitudes.
