First time here. I had a excellent experience all around. That staff were so kind and professional and they were so kind and respectful to each other. The dentist and assistant did I root canal right then instead of waiting a month and they stayed until 630pm working on my tooth. I was beyond pleased with this place. Well worth the 40 minute drive.

First time here and immediately felt welcomed by all the friendly receptionist. Everyone I made eye contact with smiled at me and were so nice to my 5 year old. Doctor and assistant were extremely helpful and explained everything in details. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured about anything. Excellent experience I had today. I got referred to this dentistry by my normal dentist for a root canal. My first visit was a very pleasant experience at Turlock Family Dentistry. The front desk staff was very nice, the dental assistants were gentle, efficient and nice to talk with as I got X-rays, a cleaning and polishing. Their offices were nice and spacious and modern - a good environment to go through the dental process. Although there was the usual discomfort during my dental cleaning, Stephanie was very careful, precise, and did a great job in my opinion. We are very happy to be patients with this practice !!!

My first time at this office and I feel like Dr. Amethist and the nurse (I totally forgot her name but she was amazing!) I had really listened to my concerns/ history. I’ve also had really bad dental experiences and was nervous that I had to find a new dentist because my previous one retired, they made me feel comfortable during the visit and explained a treatment plan (which I always appreciate). And also explained why I was having teeth pain. All in all they are great from talking to Rochelle on the phone to make my appointment to actually being in the exam room to checkout I’d definitely recommend going here.

TFD; its your employees very friendly attitudes that make you feel more relaxed. They explain to you what needs to be done and if you agree, they explain the process. Then while doing the dental work, they tell you what they are doing. Very professional environment. If TFD was not great at their profession, I would not keep going back to them for my dental care.

I had a crown bothering me so they told me to come on down and they would get me in as soon as they could. They did prepare me that depending on their schedule I could wait 5 mins or 1 hour or more. I was willing to take my chance since I didn’t want to go through the holidays with a toothache that was starting to make the whole side of my face hurt. When I got there I didn’t even wait 10 minutes, I was so so grateful especially since my family and I were heading out of town today. I love their office from the front office staff to everyone else! Update: their billing system is a joke. They have children on their own account. If multiple family members get seen in one day and you make a single payment for the total amount due, they will only apply it to one account and say you owe on the others unless you bring it up that you made the total payment and they apply the extra from one account to the others. I asked multiple times for an itemized bill for the balance they said I owed and never got it! I didn’t want to be sent to collections so I paid it and I won’t be going back. It’s a real bummer because the dentist is great as well as the hygienist and chair sides but the billing department is terrible. Be aware if you decide to go there.My family and I see Dr. Amethyst. We have had nothing but great experiences at this dentist. They are great with children and very friendly all together. I would definitely recommend.

Dr Ishaya was amazing at establishing rapport with my son from the get-go. My son has ADHD and a high level of anxiety around dental work so it was incredibly helpful that he put my son at ease quickly and then was able to explain the situation in clear and easy to follow terms. I’ve had a complex dental history myself and have met many dentists in my life but none as skilled as Dr Ishaya at putting a pediatric patient at ease so deftly. The doctor quickly ascertained our situation and was skilled at making my son very comfortable and developed a high level of trust with my son. We were just there for a consult but my son asked if we could switch his care to Dr Ishaya immediately after his first appointment. Really grateful for the excellent experience. Can not recommend highly enough. Five stars all around. The front desk staff and the assistants were also top notch. Really pleased with our experience. Definitely recommend this practice!

Unfortunately, I really like to actually love this place, but Im giving them this review because the front receptionist lady is super rude. I had to call to reschedule my kids appointment, and she was very rude. She said, Why are u canceling? Are they sick or something...we have a 48-hour cancelation policy! Like seriously, what if I had a death in the family, and thats how you ask the question! Normally, I wont even brother with writing a review, but this is not the first time shes been rude. What a friendly staff! My wife recommended going here when we met and she was right, as usual. The staff explains the procedure well and is aware not everyone appreciates dentists like they should. They teach how to properly care for bridges and other dental implants.They are children friendly and even set them up with Netflix in my space to help them be occupied while I was treated.Cost is very accommodating of a large family and I highly recommend them for your dental needs.

SCOTT, has been difficult from the start i did my part and ask questions spoke to my insurance to make sure the appointment was covered .SCOTT gave me the code he was going to bill my insurance i spoke to insurance before the appointment they said that code will be covered i spoke to the office couple times and they ALSO confirm it was covered. I went in was seen for less than 10 min didnt pay anything later on i got a bill that i owed them money. I called my insurance they never received any claim i called the office spoke to scott and let him know he said he will resend it some time passed i got the bill again and again everytime i spoke to scott he seem annoyed and would tell me i would need to figure it out and i was i was calling my insurance and calling them. What was wrong that HE billed a different code not the code he told me and the front desk that he was going to bill. I spoke to him today again explaining everything and his response i dont know what to tell you you have to pay! Or “ughhhh” and then hangs up on me. So SCOTT MAD OR ANNOYED that im questioning why he billed a different code than the one he originally said to me so now im being billed for a mistake he made!??I have been patient and understanding with him but his response has always been in a rude manner an annoyance.I read other review here from this office regarding either scott or billing so beware and make sure if they want to charge u from something cal your insurance before hand!Even tho they might not even honor what they say!

Weve recently relocated to Turlock and I had a hard time finding a Dentist willing to accept new patients and my dental insurance. We passed the building on Geer and was impressed with the parking and look of the building. When I called for 2 appointments together so both my husband and I could be seen, it was only a 3 week wait. I was offered same week appointments, but would be different days, so we waited. We were not disappointed. TFD has knowledgeable staff, great hygienists, personable Dentists and the office is clean and comfortable. We definitely give them 6 stars out of 5!!

The staff and dentist were very thorough, explained in great detail to help me understand what was going on and most importantly I didn’t feel uncomfortable with anyone. Even though I’m sure they’re super busy and have a lot of patients to see, I didn’t feel rushed. This office is very large and very CLEAN. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences while visiting the dentist. From front office personnel making me feel dumb to dentists who made me feel bad about my teeth, and just straight up bad procedures that I’ve had to get redone. I can say this confidently that Turlock Family Dentistry is by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. From the great front office, to the dental assistant’s, hygienists and surgeons I’ve never felt more welcomed and my concerns listened to. It was my first dentist appointment in maybe 10yrs. Everyone was extremely nice and out going, Amy and Stephanie took really good care of me. For that amount of time, it was painless. This was our first visit to Turlock Family Dentistry. We were there for a check-up and cleaning. 5 star service. Everyone was super friendly and very competent. I have to say that my cleaning was superior! My teeth had not been cleaned that well in a long time. Best of all, no one tried to up-sell me services that I didnt need. After horrifying past experiences I’ve been very hesitant to go back to the dentist but I thank god I found this place! 10/10 experience I called this morning and they got me in right away! I had some pain for 3 months and finally needed to do something about it. I left this practice because of having a replacement bridge crack in half. I had another bridge installed only to have that one crack in half…both within about 6 months time for both. Because I require nitrous Dr. Rice charged me both times 150.00. I tried to argue that I wouldn’t have had to have these procedures if the bridges were of better quality. To further my case, I visited my new dentist today and he discovered that the anchor tooth to the said bridge was broken at the root/crown from the trauma of the two bridges cracking….which will require a huge amount of money to fix.

The Orthodontist was very concerned for my comfort during the process and made sure that I felt no pain. His assistant was also pleasant and informative. The technician was very friendly and professional. She explained the entire process and made time to answer any questions. (I had none since she was very thorough when explaining the process). It was my first visit here at the office and I can say the ladies in the front were very approaching, very sweet calling me by my name, greeted me saying hi and thanking me for coming to their office and so on. Let’s just say you don’t get that at a lot of dentist, you end up getting the rude ladies thinking they are to good to greet you. The lady that called me in the back was so sweet and caring, very open to all the questions I had and being very friendly and went step by step what she was doing so I understood what and why she was doing it. My cleaning experience here was awesome. Her name was Dina she was very caring and open to everything about my teeth and very gentle. She even apologized when she touched a soft spot on my tooth and was even more gentle. The Doctor he was really awesome i forgot his name sorry. But I was really happy with everything he told me about my teeth on the steps to take to get them how I want them. What I really love about this dentist is that they are very open with you and explain to you the best way to go on fixing your teeth. I recommend this dentist to anyone.

Love this office. The staff is great and I have been very satisfied with the finished product. My bite is natural and everything feels right after they take care of my dental needs. Took my daughter in and this was our first visit. We entered and were immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist. The office is beautiful, clean, and has the highest technology. We were then called and escorted back by Marie. She made us feel so welcomed and proceeded to give us a grand tour since we were new. Marie was so sweet, and took her time with my daughter and thoroughly explained everything. We then met Michelle (hygienist) and she was super friendly. First things first i don’t do reviews most are BS so now with that out of the way i feel i owe it to the Dr. And two technicians as well as the entire staff i dealt with. I wasn’t looking forward to going to my appointment hell no one likes going to the dentist. But they did an amazing job i had two root canal’s one top one bottom, the Dr and Tech both explained what they were doing and why every step of the way which normally would piss me off but they make you feel really comfortable and the pain was quite moderate compared to previous dentist. I was even tearing up a bit by the time I got into the chair, but as soon as the woman who was supposed to give me the shots walked in she immediately made me feel more comfortable. She let me know everything that was going on with the shots - told me where Id feel the numbing and let me know my heart rate might increase or Id feel jittery and that it was just the medicine. She was really great and talked about my job and and her family and was honestly so sweet and it seemed effortless. I was there to replace silver amalgam fillings that were poorly done by a previous dentist and were visible in my smile line. Im completely satisfied with my new white fillings that blend so naturally with my teeth and feel smooth and even. Again, Ill definitely be recommending this dental office! 😁

I had a temp crown on that kept coming off, call the office spoke to an Ana to schedule to come in to have them put it back on but she stated that I could do it myself. The Doctors and hygienists are very skilled and delicate. They ensure youre as comfortable as possible. Comfort, pain management, and sharing knowledge of what they are doing throughout your visit makes things easier and beneficial during your time there. The office staff is very helpful and go above and beyond most other practices. They serve all ages and take really good care of children during their visits, so its not scary for first timers. Dental office and staff are very helpful. Dr Amethyst explains things very well and you can understand what sort of procedures should be addressed immediately and what ones you have time to take care of the staff are helping and very knowledgeable and capable.

I really appreciate the awesome service. They give you a tour around their dentistry and show awesome hospitality. Dr. Rice is very kind, talkative, even funny, which helps take your mind off the fact that your at the dentist, which is always frightening to me! They take good care of you and are well at informing you about your overall dental heath. I appreciated their help and would definitely make it my official dentistry!

Im newer to Turlock and had to find a dentist for my family. I love TFD!! They are so personable and made me feel extremely comfortable. I hadnt been to a dentist in a while.. and was a little embarrassed. But luckily had no cavities YAY! I also now have invisaline and the tech is wonderful as well. I go in every few weeks and she is always so sweet! Glad I chose TFD for my family!!

I just started as a patient at Turlock Family Dentistry after leaving a dentist I had been with for 19 years. I have some lingering fears of the dentist and so I was nervous about starting with a whole new office. I couldnt be more pleased with the wonderful dental care and customer service provided!The entire staff was extremely friendly and solicitous around patient comfort and satisfaction. Dr. Ricess chair side manner was outstanding. After I explained the reason for my nervousness, he frequently checked on my comfort level throughout the visit.I ended up having several procedures done - checkup, cleaning, teeth whitening, and replacement of two crowns - over a series of visits. All the staff members who provided services carefully explained what to expect and appeared very detailed-oriented around each procedure.I would highly recommend this office to anyone in need of dental care.

Been going here for years (at the old building and now the new location, which btw is beautiful) and I love coming here. The staff is so friendly, the doctors are awesome! Plus I love getting my cleaning done by Stephanie, which is one of the dental hygienist in the office. She does an amazing job. Definitely recommend this Dental office=)

Their facility is clean and modern, with an informative and welcoming staff. Dr. Schlect has been my favorite dentist for years now. This is a wonderful place! First and foremost, they are professional and do a wonderful job in all areas. What sets them apart is their professionalism when checking you out billing you and trying to help you whenever they can. If for some reason you’re stuck on a payment they work with you. They’ve even been very generous. I can’t say enough about them you won’t be disappointed!
