Located just before the foothills to the Sharon Nevada mountains, Tule Campground is a spacious campground on Lake Success, formed by a Tule river dam. The campsites are spacious and very well-maintained. The restrooms are exceptional and include free showers. There is also a dump station on the site. Although it probably would be very hot in mid summer, it was delightful when we stayed there. We really enjoyed the stop.

This is a Great place to stay. It is clean and well maintained by the Camp Host and Core of Engineers! Awesome views of the Lake and mountains. Tule Campground at Lake Success is also a great value in comparison with other RV Camping. The Camp hosts are also very friendly and accommodating. I had messed up on my booking, and they were able to get it fixed for us while on site. The hook ups for water can be a ways away, just bring an extra hose and you will be fine. People who don’t know the history of this Campground is that it didn’t always have electric hookups and a lot of the water locations were already in place. My wife and I always enjoy our stay and plan to return often!

Ive seen some poor reviews here, but the problems we experienced were from irresponsible destructive campers rather than the site or staff. Both volunteer ladies here are wonderful. Maintenance people are team workers and dedicated to their jobs. Someone was a jerk and stuff garbage into the dump station rather than in the dumpster right there. I called the project office and within 30 minutes 3 people were working on it. They kept working until it was again usable and we could clear our tanks. They stood by to be sure it continued until we finished. Definitely friendly and good customer service. Site was fairly level and we had no problem leveling or space for both our car and motorhome. No problem with 50 amp hookup. Although the water spigot was quite a distance (50 m/l), we hooked it up. Didnt like the taste, and pets wouldnt drink it, so we bought bottled water in town. Town is only about 15 minutes away, and you can find most anything you need there. All in all, good campground and worth a return visit when in the area.

Absolutely love this place! The staff there was awesome, very helpful! The female workers were so nice and helped me with every thing! Love the lake and the spots they have! Will definitely go every year!!!

Very nice campground, but the ridiculously loud partiers 200 away have ruined it for us 3 nights in a row. Loud music, loud drunks until 3 a.m. Beyond belief how people can be so rude. Quiet time is after 10, but the Rangers refuse to do anything about it. Of course, they knocked on my door the first night at 10:02, because my generator was running, as I set up after a late arrival, but a bunch of foul mouthed drunks carrying on until 3a.m., no problem.

I understand having replaced campground staff but….. the bathrooms were constantly out of toilet paper and backed up the entire time. People from the day use area walked over and were using the bathrooms and TRASHING them. They really need to have someone go by there in the morning and the evening. We had a large group in the campground and no one could use the toilets. There was only one woman’s bathroom available cause the other buildings was shut down and the men’s bathrooms only had 1 stall with a door. If you’re going to have issues you need to provide ports potties as well.

This place has incredible potential. Being here in the spring, it was breathtaking with green grass, snow on the mountain tops and on a reservoir. But there are a couple of problems. First, we reserved a site with electric and water, but when we arrived, we were told the water spigot was 150 ft away. Seriously? Fortunately, the camp host helped us find a spot with water at least within 50 ft. Next, most of the sites - on the north side of the campground - were not level. So our 43ft motorhome was difficult to level. Neighbors in larger class A vehicles, had their front wheels off the ground. Next, the dump station was not working and there was no plan on when it would. It had been unavailable for the previous 2 weeks and still no idea. Lastly, this complaint is about the campers. Easter weekend was the weekend prior to our arrival and our campsite was trashed with broken egg shells, confetti, mylar and so on. This was also in other sites nearby. On the weekends, get ready for parties that get loud after dark, even though quiet hours are after 8pm. We are full time RVers, and this last point is nationwide, especially since Covid. The problem is dog owners. Very few people pick up after their dogs and this park is no exception. The lack of personal responsibility and etiquette seems to be leaving the camping world quickly. One last point - there is a gravel pit just to the east (nearly on the same property) and when they load trucks, it is loud and usually early. Would we return? Probably not which is a pity given the location, view and cost. Sequoia National Park is only an hour north and Sequoia National Forest is just up the road. Out of all the Army Corps of Engineer locations weve stayed, this is the poorest managed.

What a fun place ! Rode our bikes, made S’more’s, went fishing ! The camp hosts were very helpful especially Janice and Nancy ! There is a handy store with fuel and a dump station only a mile up the road and multiple stores back in Porterville if you forgot something. We had a fantastic time !

The whole time we camp they never cleaned the shower or toilet had to leave to shower and use restroom elsewhere very poorly ran for such a beautiful lake/campsite.

I will never camp here again they made us turn off our generator after 10 o’clock so we had to be without ac couldn’t cook anything or put on the tv for bed time I just think that is ridiculous 🥵😡
