I just came out of the event that TSMA did with casting director April Webster, and Ive got to say, Im really glad I participated. I almost didnt because its a bit past my bedtime, but I felt so energized by the kindness and sincere encouragement exhibited by the panel speakers. Listening to everyone speak both made me feel good about the way that Im spending my time working on myself as an actor and gave me some helpful reminders on what I need to work on - like remembering to breathe and participate in the world by simply noticing more of whats happening around me when I go on a walk (masked, of course). TSMA seems like its run by really genuine people, and I appreciate what they do!

Ive participated in multiple TSMA events throughout the pandemic and every time the events have had top notch guests, theyve started on time and theyve provided me with valuable information that I wont receive otherwise. I have attended two zoom educational seminars with TSMA and the information they provide is fantastic! They are so knowledgeable with social media, what is happening now and what we need to be doing to stay in the forefront and also what will be happening in the future. As an actress this is essential. While this is a tough time with the pandemic there are great things happening and TSMA providing content via zoom as well as working with them is certainly one of them!

Attended such an amazing webinar on casting directors that TSMA held today. It was extremely informative. I had never heard of TSMA till I randomly found them on someones page on Instagram and so glad I did! The three casting directors were so generous with their time, and expertise. I am excited to learn more about how to grow my social media following organically, and their series through SAG-AFTRA I will definitely be checking out! I just attended the TSMA Consulting workshop on Zoom and it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!💫💫💫💫💫 The panelists were Jeremy Gordon, Zora Dehorter, Angelique Midthunder, Ben Whitehair, and Ryan Walker. The casting directors on the panel were so helpful and inspiring, offering insights from their own lives and experiences that all actors can immediately put to great use!! They talked about evaluating being in various regional markets, and the well being of the whole person as an artist, as well as being a prepared professional actor who can really be considered when opportunities present through auditions. Ryan is incredibly good with social media!! Even though this panel centered on casting and an actor being ready and at their best, the information we got from him on how to better our pages and make sure they echoed back who we are as professionals and as people, was INVALUABLE🤍. Ben shared all of our questions with the panel in the best, most succinct way Ive ever seen a panel moderated!! And the panelists were so helpful and generous with their own perspectives!!! I consider myself to be technically challenged and a person who jumped on the social media train a bit late. OKAY! I really wanted to write this HONEST review for the people out there who were like me and are on the fence about whether the growth service is right for them. So I’ve attended several webinars/industry panels that TSMA has hosted and like everyone has said in these reviews they’re absolutely five stars! SO helpful, especially during the pandemic when people wanted to learn from industry experts at a low cost (absolutely free!!) I think I read every single review regarding the growth service (I couldn’t really find that many? Or at least that many that were helpful) before deciding to commit to the lowest tier and I was STILL on the fence but decided to go for it.This growth program is EXACTLY what is advertised. There are no tricks, there are no secrets, they explicitly lay out how things will work and provide you with tools to succeed! After my first giveaway, the followers I gained FAR exceeded the guaranteed number for my tier, which was exciting! However, like some reviews mentioned, all my new followers came from Spanish-speaking countries outside of the United States. This wasn’t so much of a problem for me because I speak some Spanish so I was able to take time to try to engage with as many people as possible (and these are the ones that still engage with my content and stuck around after the giveaway!) but for the majority of this new audience, there was that sort of barrier.I agree that as an artist you will have a following from different places but ALSO as an artist we have a lot to spend money on (headshots, classes, equipment, etc.) so you have to think about what’s best for you right now! At the end of the day, my attrition rate was higher than what I was expecting (around 50%) and I just can’t afford to pay the higher tier to participate in giveaways that target the US audience OR continue to pay this lower price for a smaller audience gain and low engagement. Think about what your needs are!! This is a great and reputable service that I would recommend to people who are PURELY focused on growing their audience.

Sometimes when you see that something is free, you expect the results and information given to be delivered at a bare minimum... but not with this free TSMA panel. I am so happy to have attended a Webinar tonight hosted by TSMA and Ben Whitehair discussing casting and the future of the entertainment industry . The webinar couldnt have ran smoother. The guest speakers were all so open and honest. The topics we discussed were very relevant and motivating. I would say that out of all of the wonderful advice shared, and stories told i was most moved by a statement made by Richard Hicks, in regards to keeping the actors mental state in a healthy condition. Take it all in, and let it all go Most actors know the feeling of overthinking every decision we make in our career, but truly loving yourself and what you do and then letting the forces that may run the course is the only healthy way to continue doing this craft. These men broke the myth of scary figures behind closed doors writing in a big Hollywood Burn Book about ever actor theyve ever seen. Jeremy, Gary and Richard truly love actors who work hard and produce good work. In the words of Gary Zuckerbrod We paint with people and being able to know when youre perfect for the piece is more important than being apart of every painting. The overall tone of the meeting was passion mixed with hard work always wins no matter how long you have to fight for a shot. Thanks TSMA for making this opportunity available to us all. It was an amazing experience with Ben and Ryan. They really know how to break it down and unravel the ever growing exponential field of social media and marketing yourself and or company. Their team is also amazing being able to answer and guide you. Theres a lot of information out there and depending where you are at they know how to get to where you want to be. I attended their intermediate seminar and was blown away by the amount of information and their passion to help people. They truly know what they are doing and go to great lengths with showing you and being realistic and honest with your goals and where you are at. A huge take away is to assess where youre at now with their guide. I recently joined a lecture hosted by the Howard Fine Acting Studio that TSMAs CEO, Ryan Walker, was a speaker on. I received so much value from the information he provided that I decided to join their event titled TSMA x Feb 21 Industry Panel just days after the lecture.The insight and information that I gained from panelists Jeremy Gordon, Richard Hicks, and Gary Zuckerbrod in just an hour was priceless. One of my favorite quotes from the webinar was by Gary quoting his friend, You can’t stop playing the clarinet for a week, and then go audition for an orchestra…You have to keep your instrument sharp.” It was a great analogy to an artists craft and a reminder that you dont have to get ready if you stay ready! Also, the chat and Q&A was on fire so great job to Ben Whitehair for facilitating such a busy webinar!I would give 5 stars to this consulting firm, but as a former Diversity and Inclusion Manager, it would be remiss of me not to highlight the lack of diversity in the panelists and hosts. I went to the TSMA workshop primarily because I had heard of Instagram, but had no idea how it worked or its benefits. As an actress I know it is important to be on social media, but I am not crazy about social networking (was glad to hear Ryan felt that way too!) and am definitely not good at it. This workshop showed me how to utilize Instagram step by step, highlighting the most important things to do to get started. I got a better understanding of how this social medium works and its value. Ben Whitehair and Ryan Walker gave me a clear understanding of what I now need to do. Getting this information got me excited at what can be accomplished through Instagram. Not tech savvy (it took me a year to get my website done!), but this seems simple enough. I just need to figure out my ‘brands” to get going. Where do I start?! TSMA was one of the most succinct and informatiive social media courses I have ever taken....and FOR FREEEE! Ryan, Morgan (from my agency Coast 2Coast), and Ben were excellent when it came to dorectly answering the questions on the call and in the chat. I am super happy to have found Ryan and the TSMA group.When I met them I had no idea what I was doing. I was so far behind in the social media game because for a long time, I had 0 social media profiles. The last thing I had was FB and I had deactivated it long before Instagram became popular. Yes, I was one of those people who didnt know what a hashtag was. I tried growing it on my own but since I didnt know anything, of course it didnt grow very much very fast at all. I was doing soooooo much work for so little payoff.After I found TSMA and started implementing their strategies and tips, I grew at a significant rate. It was so nice. I started to feel like the returns matched the amount of work I was putting in, and that was amazing. I didnt feel like I was wasting my time anymore. They were all very real, very engaged followers. I havent checked since Instagram implemented their new algorithm, but last time I looked I had about a 15% engagement rate, which for my numbers is extremely high. I get as many comments and likes as profiles that have around 5 times my number of followers.Im sure Ryan can give you some better stories and examples of how a larger following can benefit you. Here are some ways I have personally benefited from having a larger following than average:-Other actors and independent filmmakers reach out to work with me-I was invited as a special guest to an event that had industry executives in attendance and got VIP treatment-Got more than 100 subscribers within the first 24 hours of making a YouTube.When Instagram implemented their new algorithm stuff and stopped showing my content to anyone new, I automatically turned to Ryan for help because I knew theyd be on top of the game. I was right and of course they were, and now my numbers are climbing back up. Ryan and TSMA definitely know their stuff. Anytime in the future Instagram changes stuff I know who Im going to turn to.
