This was the best escape room Ive ever been to. The puzzles were clever and snappy—I loved that they tested your problem solving skills rather than just your ability to find one obscure hint camouflaged on the wall. The theming was well-designed, the story was memorable, the tech was smooth, and to top it off, Brad was a phenomenal game master! 10/10 would recommend.

Just did this event for my birthday and it was SO fun!! Im a huge escape room fiend and have been doing them for over 10 years, and all of my friends and I agreed this may be the best one weve done.The puzzles are fair and the mechanics that go with them all work seamlessly. The theming and decor were great snd we all had so much fun progressing through as a group.Would HIGHLY recommend to everyone who enjoys escape rooms!

This is a lot of fun and a great way to spend time with friends and family. Our group visited the ghost patrol escape room with four members in our team even though that is the minimum amount of people recommended I suggest that you bring a bigger group such as six to eight people cause their are so many appealing puzzles to solve. When we first arrived I wasn’t expecting much but after the first room and how highly detailed and thought out it was I couldn’t be more excited. This was so amazing and when you solved a puzzle their was always another.

This place reset our escape room “bar.” We loved the incredibly creative, professional, and immersive experience. Fun for the whole family (age 8-50). Everything was in working order, and Harry our host was patient and helpful.

This place is incredible! We did Ghost Patrol with a team of 4 people - the puzzles were fun and challenging. Above all, the production value of this place is off the charts - everything is wonderfully designed and well-made. I was blown away. The icing on the cake is that this was a birthday party, and one of the owners prepared a special card / envelope for the birthday boy. Just a really thoughtful and awesome experience all-around. Cannot recommend it highly enough. 11/10

I’ve done roughly 20 escape rooms, and this one is in the top 3. What an incredible experience. Very creative, challenging puzzles. Celebrated a birthday here and the staff included many personal touches throughout the game and in the decorations. Harry (the staff member who helped us with the game) was very professional, fun, and stayed in character throughout the game — he’s awesome!

Really enjoyed this game and would definitely recommend. Of note, my partner and I played it as a couple which the website says is possible but very challenging and should only even be attempted if you have previous experience. My partner and I have both played just over 100 rooms each but because the game is so well written and organised, we found it engaging but very do-able with two people at this level of experience (and indeed I would recommend for two players even with a dozen or so previous rooms and three or more players at any level). We came all the way from the UK and it was worth it...

I highly recommend Ghost Patrol! Ive been to about 15 escape rooms and this was one of the best ones in the Bay Area. I went with my wifes family, in a group of 7, most of whom had limited escape room experience. The production value was great, with fun lights and sounds. The story was easy to follow, fun and approachable. The actual puzzles were great too - there were a ton of fun moments, and though some of them were tricky, none of them felt overwhelmingly daunting. Others have said it was a great first escape room, and I agree, I think its ideal for a group thats new to escape rooms. Though our group was pretty new, we finished relatively quickly - in around 60 minutes out of the 90 with one hint. I definitely recommend the experience, and am looking forward to their future rooms!

If you are in the area or fly out for escape rooms, this is a must play! I would 100% recommend this ghost patrol escape room as it is for everyone! It will set the bar very high for traditional semi linear escape rooms and ruin you for every other escape room youll play in the future. This was my first escape room however throughout the day I went to do 3 others. I went in with some escape room veterans (with over 400+ games under their belts) and I felt like I was able to hold my own and I was able to contribute in some key findings to help progress the team forward. There are many different puzzles so youll find a puzzle that works for your brain. Easily the most polished puzzles with solid reliable tech behind it that Ive ever seen and my friends agreed as well. Jesse and Jennifers as well as Brian and Greg were the most down to earth game/puzzle designers and this was a very lovely escape room. Bill was an awesome game master as well. Thank you for the Trivium Games people for making such a wonderful game. I cant wait to see whats next for you guys and Im excited to come back. Youve made an impression and youve made a lifetime fan out of me.

I’ve done a LOT of escape rooms. This one hits all the marks: original design and concept, immaculate immersive design, lots of well crafted puzzles, and extremely rewarding and fun! We did it with a group of four which felt perfect for the size of the space. The only con I can think of is that there is currently only one room. If they had a second room we would have dove right into it after finishing this room.

Tl;dr: Ive done ~50 escape rooms in the past and this is by far my favorite. 100% recommend, but do know that 1) its more expensive than the average escape room and 2) will make every other escape room from now on seem way less fun.Okay, now for the full review (no spoilers). Ghost patrol is an incredibly well-designed escape room with a whimsical theme. Ive done plenty of escape rooms that leave us groaning because the solutions were way far fetched or oh we were supposed to flip the digits we input... for absolutely no reason. None of that here. All of the puzzles use clues around the room cleverly, and they all feel extremely satisfying when solved. The technology is especially impressive; the game features really intuitive and responsive tech that gives very clear indication of progress. No more is this combination code wrong or am I just inputting it wrong. In addition, the slickness of the tech gave the room a magical feel to it, which really fit well with the theme. I felt like I was actually transported to a different world, and I have not been able to experience that before in an escape room.Huge shout-out to the team at Trivium Games for coming up with this masterpiece. I am really, really excited to come back to do another room when they release it.

Ghost patrol was my third escape room based on a recommendation from a friend whos done several. I was told ghost patrol is one of the best around and I wholeheartedly agree. The theme, puzzles, and overall experience is such a treat. Our game master, Harry, was fantastic. We went as a group of 8, which I think is the most youd want to do this room with. Even so, there was enough for everyone to do and collaborate on. Would strongly recommend to new and experienced players alike. Great place to celebrate a special occasion! Ghost Patrol at Trivium Games was amazing! The puzzles were clever and well thought out; the design of the room was beautifully done; and the story was fun (not scary). My youngest (7) was a little apprehensive going in, but the staff did a lot to help him feel more comfortable and able to participate. And while the puzzles were challenging enough to be entertaining, all the members of our family could contribute in some way to solving them, so no one felt left out. My husband and I have done upwards of 40 escape rooms over the years (maybe more), and this was definitely one of the best.

I did Ghost Patrol with a group of 5. Three of us have done dozens of escape rooms, but the other two were newer to escape rooms. This is a great room for experienced players, but everyone had fun here. Brad was a wonderful game master! The whole facility is very nice and clean. The room itself was very nicely designed and themed. Everything in the room worked well and there were some unique and fun puzzles. Some of the puzzles were tricky, but everything was logical. We all had a great time and would highly recommend going here!

Ive played over 30 escape rooms and this is one of the very best. We had a team of 10 people (way too big for most escape rooms) and still had a great time. The flow and puzzle design were second to none.Theyre more expensive than the typical escape room but its worth it for the memorable experience -- especially if its your first room or if youre taking friends or family to their first room. The gamemaster was friendly and welcoming and the execution was smooth as butter -- no finicky sticky locks or equipment malfunctions here.

Did Ghost Patrol with me and one other adult and 3 kids 9, 7, 3 years old, but all having done 10+ escape rooms. Ghost Patrol is one of the best rooms Ive done. Most of the puzzles were creative and unlike anything Ive seen before. There are also some original elements that arent puzzles per se, but improve the overall flow and experience. One of my big knocks against rooms in general is bottlenecks where people are standing around doing nothing. There was only one in this room, but the designers clearly knew what was going on, and accounted for it in a creative way I havent really seen yet.To top if off, this was hands-down the best escape room for families Ive done. They can include an optional treasure hunt for children to find objects as the room progresses, which is cool and gives children more to do. I dont know why more escape rooms dont do this. Many dont even allow children at all, let alone cater to them. The theme has a small amount of spookiness, but no jump scares or ghosts.Brad was an awesome host, and did a great job helping the children in our group feel welcomed and included.

As someone with a lot of escape rooms under his belt, I can say that this is one of the best rooms I’ve experienced - instead of relying on extremely out-there puzzles or huge mechanical complexities in a shallow attempt to innovate, it instead packs its surprises into nailing the subtler elements of its execution. You’ll think outside the box; you’ll retread your steps, and you’ll look at things you’ve seen before in a new way here. In addition, the focus on “having fun, experiencing the full room” rather than “try to get out or fail trying” is a welcome change for novices and pros alike.

This escape room was super cool! The presentation was amazing, and the room was just difficult enough to feel exciting when we solved things, but easy enough that we were never left completely at a loss or with no idea what to try. There were so many fun elements, very unique puzzles, and it was full of surprises (including several personalized birthday surprises for my friend, which was so sweet and totally unexpected!). For avid escape roomists, there were plenty of puzzles to keep things interesting, and for less confident puzzlers, these were pretty approachable, plus the staff was very friendly and happy to give hints or help if desired. Overall such a fun experience, one of my favorite escape rooms Ive ever done.

What a memorable evening! Our 11-year-old birthday boy and his 4 buddies had a fantastic time with “Ghost Patrol”. My husband and I also joined as chaperones. This was the first escape room experience for all of us. I was so impressed by Jenn’s detailed and prompt responses to my emails and questions before we arrived. Also, when we showed-up, they posted a sweet message on the board for our son to make the experience extra special. Brad was very kind and patient with us and our multiple requests for clues. I was especially amazed by the challenging, creative, and thoughtful puzzles and clues they came up with…we really felt immersed in the experience. Thank you so much, Trivium!!! Highly recommend! Ive done 30+ escape rooms, and Ghost Patrol is definitely in my top 5. With an original theme and excellent puzzle execution, Trivium checks off all the boxes for what youd want in an escape room.Usually I prefer escape rooms with half the number of max participants, but theres enough going on that the player range is reasonable.Despite the ghost theme, its not scary at all. Lots of puzzles with no generic keys. Creative use of RFID chips. Kudos!Story: Someone passed away in an accident, and something in the mortal world is preventing them from moving onto the afterlife. I wasnt a big fan of escape rooms, but so happy I joined this one. Our host Brad was excellent. The venue was great- functional with nice decor and style. The game theme, plot, execution, whatever was really enjoyable. The difficulty level was good in that was challenging but also solvable enough to keep the pace of the game moving along nicely. Also setup nicely for collaboration within the team. Fun, challenging, satisfying.

I have done ~20 rooms, and this is one my my top 3 rooms! The production is well designed and immersive, including high quality lighting and sound system. The story line and clues are coherent and streamlined. The room utilizes a variety of unique tech and mechanisms, many of which I have not seen at other rooms. The puzzles are clever and well-placed; no stretch or hidden hints for no reason. Ghost Patrol compares very favorably to Omescape Sunnyvale and Palace Games. I will definitely be coming back once a new room opens later in the year!

Ghost Patrol theme was great for 7 adults. High quality asynchronous puzzles made it fun for the group to work on different things in small groups. The treasure hunt activity for kids was perfect. My son celebrated his 11th birthday at Trivium Games along with 7 of his friends. It was their first escape room experience and although they werent able to finish in time, everyone had a great time! The Trivium staff was very patient and helpful. The Ghost Patrol story is engaging, the puzzles are interesting and the set design and technology is amazing. We highly recommend trying it out.

My 13-year-old and his friends had an amazing experience here. Theyve done other escape rooms and this was by far the best. The puzzles are really clever and fun, and the room design and build are gorgeous. The kids felt like they were movie characters on a real film set. They couldnt stop talking about it afterwards. It might seem kind of expensive but its really a unique experience, worth every penny.

A well thought out and constructed room. The sets were immaculate and the puzzles were very challenging but not impossible. My partner and I have done around 50 escape rooms each and did the room ourselves. We made it out by the skin of our teeth. Excellent escape room setup! Probably the most fun Ive ever had solving an escape room so far. The puzzles were just the right amount of difficulty for our group of 5, and the pacing was very lenient. It was clear that there was a lot of thought put into the puzzle design so that even if you were a first-time puzzle solver, you could make the connections and reach a solution.The story for the room was well developed, and the sets were beautifully designed to fully immerse you in the setting of the game. It really did feel like you were stepping through a portal into the mansion to solve a mystery.I do think 5 is about the perfect number of people to tackle this room with as we were all busy solving something at all times, but it didnt feel like we were under significant time pressure. It would be a more challenging room with only 2-3 people, but as we finished with plenty of time to spare, Im sure that would still have been possible to finish with fewer people.The only thing to note is that there is a puzzle that may be more challenging for non-native English speakers given the wordplay aspect of the puzzle. For our group of all native speakers we grasped the idea behind the puzzle quickly, but it could take longer for others to make the connection.

Ive done a fair amount of escape rooms and Trivium was by far the most technologically advanced and well-functioning. The story was fun and the puzzles were just the right balance of challenging and doable. They required different kinds of creativity such that inevitably each member of the team could offer a unique contribution. I also found the pacing and the setup a lot more conducive to teamwork and full participation then some other escape rooms where it feels frantic and you cant necessarily participate in everything. I was very impressed with Trivium and we had an incredible time. I cant wait for them to add another room so we can go back!

I had a lot of fun at this Escape room. I’m not really experienced but the Escape room had a lot of fun puzzles to figure out. It was intriguing whenever we figure each puzzle out. Even after escaping, there’s a sense of desire to keep going for more; there’s even a desire to look back at the puzzles that were solved, because it’s just too fun to stop. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. Awesome room with lots of unique puzzles. Puzzles were all intuitive, but not simple. The artwork is great, ghost slime mechanic is cool, and the overall theming was good throughout. Our group of 4 had plenty to work on at once, usually working in pairs, so there was not much waiting around. The host, Bill, was very friendly and informative in our chat with him after we escaped. Looking forward to future rooms!

It’s one of the rare escape rooms that you can spend all night talking about after you’ve done it.First of all, our Game Master was great and the Intro to the Game is really well done.The set design is outstanding, and the environments change enough in the progression of the game to keep it interesting.Where this escape room shines for me was the puzzles though. From the first puzzle you get a direct tie-in to the story, and each puzzle makes sense in the environment. We also never felt lost and always knew what the next step would be, which speaks for great game design.In the end, Ghost Patrol doesn’t do anything phenomenally new, but everything it does is done to perfection. The sound design, the lights, the puzzles, and the story all work together so so well.The only “complaint” I’d have is that the game is listed on the website as minimum 4 players. I think enthusiasts should play it with 2-4 players, as it’s doable in the time limit, and you’ll get to experience all the puzzles yourself!

Don’t tell my boss I said that.Upon arrival we were greeted by Brad, who made the experience from start to finish a very pleasant one. In the waiting room there were little puzzles and also merch you can look at or buy. Then eventually the escape room commences!The room itself felt like a Disneyland ride, specifically tower of terror (rip) but not terrifying even though there’s a ghost theme. Every thing looked so real so we felt very immersed. The puzzles were challenging but once you complete the first two puzzles, you’ll have no trouble figuring out the rest. Every time a puzzle was completed there’s little sound effects and lighting that plays, which reassured me that we were on the right track. We had a team of 8, so we’d split into two or three groups to simultaneously work on puzzles to not waste any time. I feel like that works best vs everyone staring at the same thing not knowing what to do. We also switched puzzles or asked people from the other mini team for help if needed.Once we completed the escape room, Brad greeted us at the exit and took a group photo for us. He gave us an outro and thanked us for our time.Overall, my coworkers had an amazing time together. We laughed, we yelled, we danced. Our party had three adults and two ten year olds and while the room starting sequene was a touch intense for the kids (think Haunted Mansion), they were able to contribute to solving and the adults had plenty to do. I’ve been to a few escape rooms in the past but this was the best one I have ever been to by a far mile.For the game: It was super well thought out and all of us felt so proud of ourselves at every step. Enthusiasts should put this on their itinerary, likely the highlight of a trip.)Ghost Patrol doesn’t do anything crazy, but does everything on a high enough level that it’s hard to find flaws when comparing it to other traditional escape rooms. Every aspect of this game (set, story, puzzles) just felt very well thought out and executed with care, precision, and creativity. As a result, this game places at 9th best out of the 160 I’ve done, and second best escape room for me in the Bay Area, placing just below Omescape’s Chaos in the Galleria, which is very high praise given how I generally only go to good escape rooms, and love Chaos in the Galleria. Really excited for what they come up with next, and glad to see the Bay Area getting another great game so that we can start to become a top tier US escape room destination.I don’t think I need to say much more about how good the room is given the plethora of other reviews out there, so to give you a change of pace from the other gushing reviews, I’ll spend the rest of this review complaining about the games minor flaws instead. While the game is excellent, the room’s main flaw is that it doesn’t have any killer moments that blow your mind, which when you get to the level of roomrank 5s, are what is needed to propel it up to a top 5 room. There isn’t anything super crazy here that is pushing the needle forward for best (or most unique) escape rooms in the US, so try to temper your expectations if you are expecting something unreasonable like say, Cutthroat Cavern’s ridiculous set. Furthermore, I thought that while the story/immersion were good, they could have done a better job transitioning from the first half of the game to the second half and adding more obvious story context there. These flaws are probably unreasonable to attempt to fix, so consider these more ramblings than actual suggestions.

DISCLAIMER: Our team was invited to beta test Ghost Squad. A few assets in the room were not complete (mainly small decorations. All puzzles were 100% functional and complete) and the cost was covered by Trivium. The final state of the room could be different from what we experienced.------------------Having done over 60 rooms, our team had the opportunity to visit Trivium Escape. I had high expectations for the room give the website used custom graphics and did not rely on stock photos and after seeing the delightfully cheesy intro video, I knew our time was going to be well spentGhost Patrol has the unique advantage of being one of the very few spooky house themes in the Bay Area. As stated in my EDscapade review of Hostage spooky/scary themes are few and far between and while enthusiasts can name off a number of well made haunted house rooms in general, given the location the theme is a breath of fresh air.Ghost Patrol has you playing a team of investigators tasked with trying to figure out, the cause to why a certain spirit is haunting a given location. Unlike other rooms where the spirit needs to be defeated or a counter spell needs to be made in Ghost Patrol youre tasked with trying to resolve the spirits issues.Right from the start the set design of the room was impressive, with the house itself being well represented and lighting and sound used masterfully to set the mood. More Haunted Mansion than Amityville Horror the room has a charming sense of playfulness and whimsy behind it. Those worried about any jump scares or being too scared to continue can rest assured that not violent scenes will come out to startle you.It took a whooping 5 minutes for me to not only be taken in by the game world but for me to verbally exclaim this room is going to be good these high expectations were smashed time and time again as our team moved from puzzle to puzzle, flowing as swiftly as if we were spirits of our own. Clues and puzzles were hidden in the rooms subtle design with nothing standing out in an obnoxious fashion. The house always looked like a house and did not have the escape room trope of very obvious clues being blatantly painted on the wallsTrivium Escape made sure to include small details to make the puzzle solving experience frustration free. Clever lighting and sound cues let us know if we were putting items in the proper place and subtle sign posting highlighted our objectives. There were no red herrings and the puzzle flow was neat and tidy without being too restrictive. I count at least 2 to 3 puzzle chains going off at the same time giving everyone involved something to do making it idea for groups of 4/5,Did I mention the Ghost Device you get to carry around with you? Much like an episode of Spirit Hunter its common for the investigators to carry some sort of neat electrical gadget and this is no exception. I wont reveal too much but I can safely say this device worked really well during the beta test and did not overstay its welcome.As cheeky as the room was, what really impressed our team was the story told throughout the room which lead to a very satisfying and memorable ending. Its certainly a sequence of events that I will not forget and will be hard to top in future rooms.

Ive done a lot of rooms in the Bay Area, and I thought this was the best one so far. As someone who enjoys puzzles in my free time, I felt that this room had more substantial puzzles than normal escape rooms, which I appreciated.
