Working with Trey was an absolute joy. As someone who is very busy with a demanding career, I had literally no time to check out properties, but Trey reassuringly served as my eyes and ears. He did his due diligence in finding properties that were realistic, exciting, and achievable. Treys help in selling my homes in Venice CA was invaluable especially given the current pandemic. His expertise and engaging personality was instrumental in finding the appropriate buyers for our unique homes. Trey went above and beyond professional expectations and personally addressedspecific problems with homes for sale, including putting himself at times in danger from squatters trying to break into property. I know he spent hours accommodating buyers questions and fears to ultimately resolve any issue they had resulting in the sale of both homes. I first met Trey by accident in 2020. He was the listing agent for my dream house fixer upper in Venice, and he lived right next door. He was reliable and accessible from Day 1. The world was ending so I couldnt make the move, but I set my eyes on the prize moving forward. Flash forward two years when my job relocated me from SF to LA and I still had Treys number in my phone. I told him it was time, and he worked quickly to connect me with his buddy Jason at Movement Mortgage to get everything lined up. Jason is also true pro, and made the process painless. When it was time to hunt, I had a short list of prospects ready. Trey offered to show me around but I didnt need it. We visited my top choice in Venice first and it was the one. From the first day we met Trey, he zeroed in on exactly the type of home we were searching for. He manages to balance professionalism with warmth and empathy as if he was our best friend. Trey helped me purchase a home recently in the Venice area. The process was almost flawless despite many obstacles including my living in another state, repeatedly postponed court dates dealing with the propertys title, my never having purchased a home before and of course Covid. Trey was wonderful at responding quickly to phone calls, texts and emails. He was easy to work with, extremely patient with my lack of knowledge in home buying and was just really helpful. My experience working with the Alligood group, and specifically realtor Helen Ge was fantastic. She was not pushy at all and listened to my needs and desires--even when they conflicted--and she provided sound advice. At one point in my buying process, she suggested a counter that was exactly the number needed to secure the property against other bidders. She also helped to interface with property management and HOAs to ensure I got all the information I needed, both good and bad, about the properties I was considering. Despite all the hiccups, starts, stops, and recalibrations natural to the homebuying process (particularly in Southern California), I arrived at my purchase feeling confident that I got the best deal possible. In fact, my purchase price was the same in 2023 as the propertys last sale price four years prior, in 2019. You cant beat that. Thanks to Helen for all your hard work.
