Camping in the Trekker van was incredible. Never had camped in a van, but came away wanting to buy one. The van had everything you need from bedding to cooking and lounge gear. Nate was very helpful with the rental process and went over all fees up front. Easy reservation and drop off process. I liked how he doesn’t charge a crazy cleaning fee, but recommends a place to give it a wash and vacuumed before returning. Thanks for the great weekend trekker

This was a dream vacation for my wife and I! Weve loved the idea of Van Life and this gave us the opportunity to experience it for ourselves! Nate was EXTREMELY accommodating with our ever changing plans due to some of the wild fires making us re plan our route but overall it was an amazing experience.The van itself was extremely pleasant to drive and in great condition minus an issue with the AC leaking on the floor board. This was a simple issue that we just dealt with to be honest. Nate was apologetic of this issue and that was fine by us.As far as what to expect, imagine have a camp site already set up where ever you go. That seems to be how this was designed. Theres only a couple places for storage so we ended up bring a large box to use as a pantry and had packing cubes we used to organize our clothes while traveling. This made the van less cluttered for sure. We also loved the fact that Trekker vans are relatively low key in their appearance versus the dozens of Escape Van Rentals we saw on the road. This was nice for city travel and parking in more discreet places.Over all this was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend this to anyone looking into it!!

This was my first camper van rental and Nate set the bar very high! Every single part of the process was easy and organized. After you book, you are provided with great information about the van included a very helpful YouTube video on its key features. Nate personally checked us in (and gave us a great banh mi lunch recommendation).The van itself was pristine, fresh, and well outfitted. We really enjoyed the comfortable bed and bedding. The stove/fuel worked great (I use the same kind when camping). Van was easy to drive and does have Bluetooth/AUX cord capabilities, and a backup camera!We brought some lighting for the van interior which was very helpful. We wished we had brought a doormat or something to place in front of the side door when entering/exiting to keep sand & dirt out. We brought some pop up mesh storage containers to store food in. We wished we had more places to hang stuff in the van and would probably bring some straps or hooks next time.

We had a great experience with Nate and his company, Trekker Vans. As others have mentioned, the vans are clean, in great condition, well equipped, affordable and above all, well thought out for all campers whether it’s your first campervan trip or your 100th.Before making the decision to rent with Nate, we researched several comparable van rental companies and are so glad we went with Trekker Vans, which absolutely provided the most value. We especially appreciated that the van has a subtle appearance (simple white color) and all of the details that Nate has built into the vans. He was extremely personable, experienced and helpful and we would absolutely rent again.

I absolutely love camping and being outdoors, but ever since we’ve had kids I’ve been hesitant to try. We have a close group of friends that wanted to do a quick getaway. Most of us like camping but a handful are adverse to it. When Autocamp was booked up we thought van camping was a happy medium and convinced them to come along with us. Heard good things about Trekker Vans and the pickup/ drop off spot is close to our home. We met our friends at the drop off location. They were able to reserve their 3 spaces. Since we have 3 kids 8,6 & 2.5 yrs old, we had our eldest sit in the other van with our friends daughter (3yrs old) and a walkie talkie. That was a fun adventure in itself! We were all ready to go to drop off our car at home and I realized I forgot to pick up a birthday cake! Picked up the cake and was about to run inside the house to get another cooler bag when my husband reminded me that there was a fridge drawer in the van. What a relief since the drive was 3 hours north and we planned on stopping at a kid friendly winery on the way to camp. We rented the roof top van and as soon as it was set up all the kids wanted to climb up. The fact that the van comes with everything you need already packed neatly in the storage compartments made setting up camp so easy and painless especially with 3 kids. My kids and husband slept in the rooftop tent (their favorite experience during the trip) and I slept in the van with my toddler. It was nice to have the additional sound barrier of the van since my toddler still cries for milk in the middle of the night. The ladder also came in handy when setting up the hammock in the tree so that it wasn’t dragging on the ground. Also loved the velcro to keep the curtains from opening inside the van, front and side window shades, sink to wash up at night, storage under bed to keep clothes out of the way and storage under the roof tent top tent to keep your tent clean and shoes convenient to reach. We had a 4 van caravan each with our own walkie talkie. So useful when cell service and internet is no where to be found. So much fun! Can’t wait to do this again for an even longer and more adventurous trip. Thanks to trekker vans for such a comfortable and memorable experience !!

Trekker Vans is the best! The transformation from a plain Jane Ford Transit to a Trekker Van truly sets these vans apart. We had a highly functional cleaning area, comfortable and spacious sleeping quarters, ample storage space, large refrigerator and a loaded camping kit. This “pick up and go” kit allowed us to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 8 days without packing a single camping tool (we flew in from Canada). The V6 allowed us to average ~ 18 mpg which helped save a lot on gas. Having a home on wheels made our road trip around Cali fantastic, and could not imagine doing it any other way.

We had an excellent vacation thanks to Nate and Trekker Vans. The van was easy to drive and camp in for the time we had. Nate was friendly and the whole rental was extremely easy to deal with and affordable to our budget.

We had a great time with our campervan for our solar eclipse trip! The van drove great, the interior is designed very well, and it was comfortable to sleep in. Nate was incredibly friendly and was kind enough to take us back to SFO at the end of our trip. Would recommend Trekker Vans to anyone!

Super good rental camper. The camper is new and working perfectly. Even the host Nate is super friendly and would help you with his experience in any situation if needed.The on boarding process is also very detailed and he will explain everything to you.The camper itself have anything you need for a longer adventure in California.Only our Aux-In cable was defect right after the start. But a short break and BestBuy and we got also some music on the road.I can highly recommend Nates Trekker Vans!
