A great dealership with great employees, There are very kind to me and my girlfriend the first time that we came here. They helped me and took care of any problems I might have, The process for getting my car was quick and had no problems with my new Ford Escape since I left the dealership. Out of all the dealerships that ive been to, this has been the best one for sure, the most kindest and most helpful people I have ever experienced from any dealership. John was very helpful and made sure that I would regret my purchase by giving outstanding service. I cant thank him enough!

So while the sale and process was almost 4 star worthy, they dropped to a 1 start after finding out their customer service after a purchase is outright disrespectful.I found my 2025 Camry via auto trader and submitted an inquirys sale associate Keiran contacted me and made the process a breeze. The car was not delivered yet so I had to place a $1k deposit to reserve the vehicle. When it arrived about 7 weeks later, we negotiated the entire process remotely. When we couldnt agree on the price Kerian informed his manager of the issue and we came to an agreement quickly.When I came to the dealer to pick up the vehicle that was 3.5 hours away, Keiran came to be present on his day off which was great And lucky for him I was there less than 10 minutes since Toyota of Santa Barbara made the entire process easy by allowing everything including the financing and doc signing process remote.Now the bad, It was found that my $1000 deposit was never applied to the loan which is fine but after informing the dealer and they acknowledged it was overlooked, its been quite a mission to obtain my refund from them. Its now been 3 weeks since and I am still chasing them for my refund.I have now contacted Amex for a chargeback. Still no communication from them nor an apology for the serious inconvenience.My advice, be cautious if they were willing to stiff me for $1k what else will they do as they definitely committed fraud.

Prices are scams. I walked out of their dealership with a set of wheel locks. I thought to myself that it takes less than 1 minute to replace 4 lug nuts, that there is no other car here for service, and that I can tip them for helping me out and for their convenience. Employee tried charging me $50 to replace 4 lug nuts for wheel locks on my Toyota. When they realized I knew I was being overcharged, they retracted and started asking if I needed tire rotation and alignment. Then they claimed that it would come with the service I was asking for. I told them I had gotten that done last week, and they asked me if I want it done again “to get it over with”. Insane the way they worded their responses. I feel bad for the folks that don’t know much about cars. Not worth going to this dealership even for parts. Plenty of other places will give you just as good parts and far better vehicle service. Disgusting they would hire people like this.

I bought a brand new Tacoma back in March of 2023 trading in my old Tacoma and got a great deal. I was so happy with my purchase that I had been recommending Brannon and Toyota overall to anyone looking to buy a new car ever since.Unfortunately my Tacoma suffered a total loss, so I went back and spoke to Brannon again to see what he could do for me. This time around I went with a 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium, which I’ve been enjoying a lot more for my husky. Brannon came through for me with a great deal yet AGAIN. Very happy with my buying experience here.

Was in the market for a Grand Highlander Hybrid model with panoramic roof in a specific color my wife requested. After calling around the entire Bay Area, most dealers were only interested in selling what they had on their inventory lot. Extremely glad and fortunate to have found JJ from Toyota of Santa Barbara. JJ was able to source the exact vehicle we wanted, exact trim in preferred color all within a short span of 24hours. With the hybrid models being in such demand, they were able to procure what we wanted, without giving the run around. Most other dealers were expecting 5-8k over MSRP. Toyota of Santa Barbara also offered me a reasonable trade-in value. I will most definitely recommend this dealership if you are in the market for a new vehicle, especially if it’s rare or hard to find. JJ gets the job done!

I had a great experience at Toyota Santa Barbara, and that is rarely the case when I buy a new car. When I first contacted them over the phone, my salesman, John Sagun, was very forthright and we were able to negotiate a deal. This was important to me as I live an hour away and didn’t want to waste a trip. We negotiated over the phone, and when I got there, they stuck to the deal and even threw in a couple extras to make sure I was satisfied. I have never had a better experience with a car dealer.

I have been waiting to write this review. I sold my car to this dealership, and it had a lien on it, so they couldn’t cut me a check until they received the lien release. The salesman told me this process would take a week. However, weeks have passed, and I never received a follow-up or any status update. This lack of communication was very disappointing and frustrating.Whenever I called, the sales representatives who helped me were very helpful and showed that they cared about my situation. Unfortunately, the specific salesman I dealt with when selling my car was very unprofessional and had an awful fake personality. He made me feel worthless. But like he said, “It’s not my fault”Maybe if I had sold my car to another person or dealership, I would have had a better experience.

Sending a BIG shout out to John Sagun for helping me find the right Toyota Model for my needs! He was very attentive and patient while going over all the different features of each model. I walked in not know what model, color or year I wanted, he chatted with me not only about the pros but went over some cons that i hadnt thought about. This helped me narrow down my selection. John S assisted in my decision to trade in my car too. I was not as I had check previously on another site but he went to bat for me and matched the trade in value. So with no hassle and extra transaction, I happily walked away from that old car.Finance was a breeze with Brannon.... I know it could feel like a nightmare sometimes, as this was not my first rodeo. He made it me feel as if I was his only customer but he himself was in the weeds with 5 people deep, that takes talent. He had the rhythm of multi tasking down and was a pleasure to be a part of it. Overall great experience. JJ (John) was great. I told him exactly what I was looking for, and he delivered. He didn’t run me through the wringer, and was honest and kind. I wasn’t even planning on buying a car that day, but they offered me a deal that was fair and pretty much exactly what I was looking for.Brannon the finance manager was nice enough at first, but what a terrible experience. I told him I didn’t want any upgraded packages and he was relentless. I had to say NO 12 times, until eventually I said, “look I’ve answered your question, is there anything else?” He still tried another time asking why I didn’t. After he finally gave up he was cold and silent the rest of the experience. I asked about how long it would take from there. He said 20-30 minutes. He took an hour and 45 minutes! Couldn’t be more displeased with Brannon.Go in and see JJ, avoid Brannon at all costs.

I had an amazing experience today with my fiancé, when my car battery basically died- with over 100 miles left to our trip. Worn-out facilities, open air car bays with tin roofs, cars parked everywhere. Least professional looking dealer I’ve ever been to, slow, poorly organised. Tried to sell me $90 in-cabin air filter (seriously guys !) couldn’t get the software update done, just adds to the vibe of a secondhand dodgy dealer looking to exploit customers. Ventura Toyota dealer is much more professional, better run, cleaner etc. I’ll never return to this place..

Sent the VSpec etc. Then once my whole family drove in immediately pulled a bait and switch. Not available, here are some more expensive ones.They were dishonest our entire meeting. Said multiple conflicting things. They insist they dont have a dealer markup but then require a bunch of superfluous Dealer upgrades at a large mark up.AVOID this dealership if at all possible!

We agreed on a price for a car but they added a bunch of fees and add-ons in the contract that they didn’t tell be about. The whole experience felt like they were trying to trick me in different ways into spending more money. The amount I ended up financing is several grand more than we agreed upon, and now when I look through the contract I see several additional things I didn’t agree to. I obviously should’ve checked this more carefully before signing, but they rushed me through the contract at the time and I have never done this before so I didn’t know exactly what to look for.They also don’t answer or call back when you try to get in contact with them. I’ve waited several days and called numerous times, but they keep telling me the person I need to talk to is busy and will call back, which he never does.

I visited this dealership on 12/27/23 after calling the day before. I talked to a salesman named Mikey and we agreed to meet on this day to look at a specific vehicle. Mikey was nice, polite and helpful. After driving the vehicle and talking more, I was turned over to a manager and then again to another manager of some sort. This was when the “old school” sales pitch was applied and it took me another 45 minutes to get my keys back so that I just drive away to have lunch. They did offer to get lunch for me but I declined. I didn’t appreciate the “hard sell” treatment.I gave three stars only because of Mikey, my original contact was great.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS -WARNING- used 2021 Audi SQ5 Prestige they are selling has unreported accidents and issues - DO NOT BUYAbsolutely WORST experience I have had while buying a used vehicle. I drove 2 hrs to drive a 2021 Audi SQ5 with intention to buy pending a pre purchase inspection and if we could reach a deal. The car had been sitting on their lot 134 days without a sale and had 2 accidents so I was already weary. Drove the car and it seemed good so went to talk numbers. They gave me an out the door price breakdown with ~$3k in extra dealership fees for an alarm system and a paint protection. I immediately said I do not want those options please remove from the price (the car has an alarm system already why am I paying you $1300 for one? And I did not ask for any paint protection) They also tried to give me a price 500 higher than was posted online. I showed them a screenshot of their own website showing the real price and they acted surprised. I also asked for a breakdown of the government fees to see an itemized list and ensure they weren’t ripping me off (this is a standard thing that all dealerships can provide) The salesman Alex was dumbfounded and had no idea what I was taking about. I also asked for a record of what service they did to the car to get it ready for sale - this was never provided (suspicious) I eventually gave my offer, about 2.5k than asking because the car had a previous accident on carfax, plus an unreported accident that THEY told me about which occurred on their lot, plus I could see glue holding the front grill together so ANOTHER unreported accident since the other 2 aforementioned occurred to the rear end. At this point they brought another sales rep named Isaiahs Who was your typical sleazeball car salesman lying through his teeth trying every technique just trying to wear you down to get you to take a bad deal. I kept repeating my offer and asking to take it for a pre purchase inspection and as long as no issues, I would buy. They wanted me to sign some paper saying right then and there I would buy it. I said no, I want to get it inspected at an independent shop down the road. This made them extremely nervous and they acted very suspiciously. Eventually they wrote on the paperwork my offered price and note that if the inspection checked out that I would buy, and again pushed me to sign. Then when I did sign, they walked away, and came back with another number $2k higher. At this point I was furious and couldn’t stand to negotiate with these morons anymore. I stood up and walked out. Alex and isaiah completely bungled this sale over a couple of dollars. I drove 2 hours and was serious about buying. I firmly believe there was something wrong mechanically with the car and they didn’t want me to get it inspected. So at least I avoided buying a lemon. Worst experience ever, would not recommend.

Absolutely horrible service, I bought a 12 volt battery for my Toyota from a dealership and it went bad, I went to Santa Barbara Toyota to have it replaced after all its on warranty and its well within the 84 month warranty, they told me they would not honor the warranty unless I had paper receipt, I offered to bring in my bank statement showing that I bought it from a Toyota dealership, they told me that they would not accept that.They question that because I installed the battery myself that they would even have to honor the warranty, they were rude and completely unprofessional. Do not go to the dealership they are absolutely horrible please avoid them at all costParts at the dealership are about twice as much as they cost from almost any other parts store and theyll tell you that you should buy your parts from them because of the warranty but heres what they dont tell you that if you dont have the paper receipt they probably wont honor the warranty and even if you do theyre going to give you hassle for it.Please avoid the dealership

We purchased a brand new Sequoia in December. The front end of the purchase was great and our sales team was awesome but once they got our money it all fell by the wayside. Since our vehicle didn’t come with car mats (!!) we were promised next day delivery and that never happened. We wound up waiting two weeks only to have the wrong mats delivered and then got the run around trying to get the right mats. The correct mats were delivered today BUT the third row mat was missing from the order that we paid for. Buying a brand new car during rainy season and not having car mats has been a drag (first world problems I get it) but also a drag is spending that amount of cash on a vehicle and then getting the carpets wet and muddy because the dealership kept dropping the ball. I genuinely felt that after our check cleared we were an after thought. Overall, purchase experience great but don’t plan on hearing from them in a timely manner after if you’re waiting to tie up any loose ends.

My daughter and i have been searching for a car for her, for what seems forever. I suggested to her, hey lets try santa barbara toyota. Oh im so glad we did. We were greeted nicely, and with the help of Marco we got a steal. The lot was quite bare, Sienna my daughter, wanted a toyota rav4, she was set on a midsized suv, with the room and space, and higher car. She didnt want small or low riding. She had a buget, she was wanting to be responsible for her own payments and such. Good for her, proud of my child. Then we saw it, like the Gods were shining a spot light on it. Now, mind you she kinded knew this beauty was here, but not fully convinced or interested in it. Cause it wasnt quite what she wanted. But, there she was (we call her she, cause shes a she...lol)....but what she needed. To make a long story short🤪. Not even Marco, could believe this gem. It was previously owned by a couple who drove it minimally. It was in garage for very long time, but serviced often. And the price was awesome...my daughter is a proud owner of a 2007 prius with 35000 miles on it. BEWARE! This stealership lives up to their name over and over again. They quoted my mother in law over $450.00 for cabin air filter, air filter, and license plate light bulbs. The job took me less than 10 minutes in my driveway and $30 in parts! To add to the drama, they tried to scare her into unnecessary treatment of her air system by stating that there are rodents nesting in there. There werent any rodents nesting.

We purchased our minivan here, and I made a service appointment for this morning. The car was supposed to be ready at 11:00, but they didnt contact me and I had to call 4 times to finally hear that the car is ready now - 4 hours later than expected. The service department doesnt answer the phone directly and they dont call you back. Their lack of consideration put my wife in a difficult spot, and their only explanation was that they were busy.

I came in looking for a prospective car for myself. This review is to emphasize the value of good customer service as I’ve been working since 14. First off I want to say on a positive note: Max was a polite young man who tried to help me and my mom as best as possible without pressuring us. But Beltran ( I believe there’s two of them I’m talking about the younger one with glasses) was extremely unkind and rude. When I go to any establishment where I am planning on buying something whether it is is or isn’t a high price range, I expect to be treated with kindness and respect. However, this was not the case with him. He called me and my mom aggressive when all we were trying to do was get more education on a car. This is not the first time my family has had a bad experience with him. I asked to speak to the manager, but I was told that all of them were busy and that it wasn’t a good time. What a shame, that somebody who has been there for so many years and claims to be experienced, would treat prospective clients with the upmost respect. I am disgusted by the way, my mother and I were spoken to, and this makes me not want to be a customer of them just based off my experience with this employee. If there’s one thing that you don’t play with, it’s my mother. We came today around 5:25 ish. Maintenance service is usually good, the price you pay is always pretty close to the quote they give. If theres other work that they think you need, theyll call you first. My only issue so far is that they sometimes try to milk you. They wanted to charge me 300 to change/clean my cabin air filter because a rodent made a next in there. I instead bought a filter from auto zone for about 20 bucks and went to a self service car vacuum place and did the whole thing myself in under 30 min. They really wanted to charge me over 300 for less than 30 min of work.

I took it to the service 3 times, they couldn’t fix it, then I tried to tried in or replaced it, they asked me for more down payment or a higher monthly payment. The warranty should cover it. They just want to make money, and don’t really care about customer. When I told them I was not willing to pay more or give more down payment, they tried to negotiate. Not a professional team.

Looking at some of the reviews and from a negative past experience I was worried about using Toyota service. I moved from the Bay Area and had what I thought was a warrantee issue with the battery which I purchased from Toyota. I took the battery to auto zone and they tested it and said it was as bad. With that information I went to Toyota. Long story short Tod Severson did me a solid. Gave the battery an extensive bench test and charge and found out it was in specifications. I leased a new 2022 Corolla Hybrid last Saturday and have to say, I was astounded at how easy and pleasant the experience was. Ive been driving for 49 years and have always looked at beating up on car salespeople as a community service, but not at Toyota of Santa Barbara. Farrell is the anthesis of the usual Sales Manager. No matter how upset someone might get for any reason, hes completely unflappable. He stays calm, figures out what the issue is and fixes it. Period. Farrell oversaw my lease from first introduction through the finance process to make sure there were no hiccups.Alex, my salesman, is very knowledgeable and easy going. He never pushed me once and if I asked him the rare question that he didnt know the answer to, instead of just making up an answer like a bad salesperson would do, he told me he didnt know the answer, but wait right here, Im going to find out.Tyler, the Finance Manager, was the only one who was pushy - not towards me in any way, he was very pushy towards Toyota Motor Finance. He spent a half hour on the phone pushing them to up my lease rate from a 1 to a 1+, which saved me a bit of money every month.All in all, by far the best experience Ive ever had at any car dealership. Oh, and the Toyotas that Ive had have lasted over 200,000 miles and sold for good money on the used car market!!!

I was contacted by Lauren for a recall on my truck. I made an appointment a week in advanced. I was then contacted by Jaime to confirm my appointment. Upon arriving for my scheduled appointment, I was greeted by Justin; then notified that they didn’t have the car part needed therefore they couldn’t complete the task. This is a recall from 2018.. it’s been 2 years going to 3 years and all I’ve received are excuses. I decided to leave the truck there for an quick inspection since I had the scheduled appointment time @ 10:15am and decided to use it anyway. I was told the truck would be ready by 12:00pm (not for a job/ just an inspection) on the same day. I called at 1:00pm to ask how everything was going. I was told “quick” inspection wasn’t started and to check back @ 2:00pm because everyone was out on lunch. My truck was sitting there, parked for three hours. Let me remind you that it wasn’t a walk in service; I had a scheduled appointment. I had my sixty year old father with me and two year old daughter in the car and I didn’t feel like arguing with the staff in front of them, So I went home, took a few hours to reassess my thoughts then I wrote this review.Edit* after I posted this review I was subsequently contacted about the part still being ordered. I was also asked why I didn’t speak to them before posting the review above online. Ok, what would have been different? What other excuse would of been given? Today’s visit wasnt so friendly. I was offered a package deal over the phone. When I got there in person, I was told I wasnt qualified for the package deal because Ive had my car for over 3yrs, I understood that. However, I was bummed at the idea of not being told that over the phone. I asked Joe for the manager. Joe was pretty nice, but the manager, Matthew Haas, seemed more annoyed at me as I expressed my frustration. He didnt acknowledge that he understood my frustration, he, in fact, kept saying that whoever I spoke to just made a mistake. He then voiced “I cant change the rule of the package deal so what other solution can we do for you” in a very unapologetic way. Koby initially helped us and said he was new to sales. He didnt know much about the product which is fine except he told us we were driving an AWD model which we later found out wasnt true. When we came back from the drive I asked for help from someone who knew the product. He got the manager who just handed me a spec sheet and said that knowing the cars wasnt his job....What a great manager to look up to as a sales person. A great stealership.By California State Law, deposits are refundable as long as you dont take delivery of a vehicle. Placed a $2k deposit to secure a vehicle and decided to step away from it before it was delivered to the dealership.I spoke with Tom, Benny, Eric, and Spiro and let them all know that I wanted a refund on my deposit which was always met with a I will get this done. Well it hasnt been done for the past 5 days and I have been calling, messaging, and e-mailing every day since. I showed up late in the day on Monday, an hour before closing to test drive the Prius Prime. Alex Sanchez was very friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions and particularly letting me drive the car to my house to test that the hatchback was large enough for my dog. Jim was my service advisor and I was very pleased with his service, the one thing that I wish could be improved is the communication with the customer as to estimation of when the service will be completed. Great job! We saw Justin, I think. We had a recall on our software, something to do with detecting emissions. I called in on a Monday and they had an available appointment on the next Saturday. They told me ahead of time it would take 4-5 hours. We got an oil change as well as getting the software update and it took about 4 hours! The service was of decent quality. I do have an issue with the amount I was charged for the labor. The job entailed the replacement of two roof moldings and the associated clips which held them. I assume the clips were replaced during the process although the old one were not presented to me. The job should have taken no more than an hour (a generous estimate on my part). I had already removed the old moldings and all that was required at that point was to remove the 4 old clips and install the new (1/2 hour max.), and snap in the new moldings (15 minutes max.). This is a job I could have and should have done on my own it is that simple. The charges were “flat rate”, which seems to be a bit of a rip off. I was charged $260.48 for the labor. It’s situations like this which make me wonder why I take the work to the Toyota dealership in the first place. We have two Toyotas which require regular maintenance and I wonder if it would not be better to take them to an independent shop which is capable of servicing our two Priuses.Not a particularly happy customer.

I would say it was kind of a rough experience for my first time coming here. They couldnt find my appointment that we made and I got transferred around several times and finally got routed back to the same person. Was really frustrated so I waited till the next day to deal with it again. Finally someone found me and didnt route me around.Upon getting to the dealer they were nice in getting me setup to drop my car off for service. I told them Id be off work by 4 and asked if it could be done by then and pick me up from my work. Car was done at 4. Working with Justin at Toyota SB to get my a/c fixed was a great experience. He was always proactive and reaching out to make sure I knew what was going on. He advised me on the process of getting an insurance claim filed and worked directly with my insurance to get matters handled. His help and assistance were a 12 out of 10. Wonderful working with him. However, the toyota department for rental cars was not such a great experience. It took me an hour to get a rental car on a Saturday morning, even though the client before me was already finishing up when i walked in. The second time i got a car rental, luckily my information was already in the system so it was a bit speedier, but upon trying to return the car, he was not at his station and no one else would help me by taking the key, all that was needed. I waited at least 5 minutes to just hand him a key. Not thrilled with the rental car department. Hence the 4. But the service department is an A+++.

The only reason I didnt give a 5 was the expense of Toyota trucks due to the computer chip shortage (due to Covid). That caused the prices to be higher (supply/demand). I had shopped at several other dealerships (in person and online). These guys were the best even though I had to travel a fair distance. I thought that Juan Beltran did a good job working with me. He was fair and knowledgeable. I had spoken with Mike, the sales manager, previously. We worked out a deal and the process was painless. I got home and discovered that I was missing one of the four adjustable tie down brackets. We texted Juan and hes mailing us the one that was missing. Really glad I made the trip. I dont ever write reviews, but the absolute lack of service provided by Tom Z (Sales Manager) at Toyota of Santa Barbara was appalling. I came into to test drive a used vehicle on the lot (2018 Subaru Outback) and gave them an offer. I had to leave, but received a call from Tom that afternoon and we finalized a price for me to purchase the vehicle. They were going to sell the vehicle to another dealer, but Tom verbally committed to selling me the vehicle and stated I could come in that evening to do the paperwork - no rush needed. Roughly one hour later after Tom had said the vehicle was mine, I received a call from a lower associate (not the Sales Manager) at the dealership that the Subaru was being taken off the lot. Toyota of Santa Barbara sold the Subaru to another dealer out from under me. Tom then offered to sell me a higher mileage, lower trim Subaru Outback for $500 less than their asking price. Not exactly a sweet deal. Tom would not do anything else to fix the situation and wouldnt even apologize in person when I showed up. This shows either complete incompetence or purposeful negligence on his part.Ultimately what happened was completely legal, but customers keep your business going - not other dealers. I will never to do ANY business with Toyota of Santa Barbara, and please AVOID working with Tom Z.

Unfortunately a critical yet inexpensive switch that activates a buzzer if the drivers door is opened and the lights are still on or the key is still in the ignition and also turns on the interior light is no longer available. So the repair could not be made and I no longer have those protections nor the feature of the interior light coming on as I enter the car at night. This is not the dealers fault, but it is a decision made by Toyota to no longer supply this critical part.To the credit of the service manager, he suggested I check with ebay or Amazon and so it turns out Amazon had a replacement part for around $16 which I ordered and then installed myself.

An appointment for a duplicate slide key (with no remote) turned into a 2.5 hour experience. It is my understanding that the programmed key takes 30-60 minutes total. The seller broke my trust by calling me when I asked him not to. He called me and had his manager call me about buying a car there as well. I would have much rather worked with the Manger because he was more in the moment compared to the sales rep that I had. I would have preferred an email over any phone calls. Also, they asked for way too much personal info from me when there was no car I was even sure about buying yet. I had an emergency situation on my way to work one night; I had my car towed to Toyota of Santa Barbara after hours. The very next morning, the service coordinator (a very nice gentleman by the name of Todd) called me up first thing when they opened. I actually got off from work after a night shift (I work as a nurse) and had a friend drive me to the dealership that morning. I received Todd’s phone call right when I got there and we spoke in person. Todd was excellent at communicating the process with me, along with the timeline, and any problems they ran into. He was transparent about cost when the problem was found. It turns out the car needed some major repairs to the hybrid system, but Todd was excellent in making sure that the service was done as soon as possible, answered any questions/concerns I had, and he even helped me out with a little discount. Additionally, the technicians road-tested the car a few times to make sure no additional problems arose. I was very happy and grateful for the service I received at Toyota of Santa Barbara, and I will probably return to them when I need service again.

We are a Toyota family and, recently, bought another vehicle at Toyota of SB. For weeks, we were looking up in SLO and all the way down to LA for deals on a RAV-4. We ended up buying one in town. The people whom we dealt with were excellent. Juan Beltran, the Product Specialist, was so helpful over the 3 - 4 weeks that it took for us to decide. He was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and had a good sense of humor. Farrell who helped us with the trade in and John Carlyle who made the final sign off were easy going and straight up with us. The Finance Manager was efficient in the transaction. Throughout the process, we did not feel any pressure to do anything that we did not want. The experience was excellent. We highly recommend these good folks.

Im writing to say that Justin Shores and Rachel Maseda deserves a big raise. Their customer service level far exceeded anything Ive ever experienced before...anywhere! Justin was honest, detailed and extremely helpful throughout the duration my car was at the service department. Not having family in town that I could trust with car issues has been rough, but Justins demeanor and support really easily allowed me to trust what he recommended. A part that my car needed was going to be expensive for me to fix, but he went the extra mile, explaining to Toyota that the part had been recalled and already replaced, and they obliged, saving me lots of money I could then spend on new tires. We own three Toyotas (and no other cars) in large part because the service folks at SB Toyota are consistently knowledgeable, courteous and pro-active about informing me fully of my options. I trust them to do only what is necessary and help me weight the pros and cons of any optional work. For any given service, they may not be the least expensive option up front, but I their reliability and commitment to customer service means that I get my moneys worth: I havent ever had ongoing issues after a repair, and I feel sure that if I did, theyd have made things right at no extra charge. I called to make an offer on a particular vehicle and the salesman, Andres, said the dealer could go down $500 lower than the price listed. He asked me many questions in regards to financing the vehicle, which I answered. I made a counter offer and he said he would contact me back but he never called me back. He also asked many questions about my bank rates. The next day I sent another message asking about my offer and I received a message saying that the dealer could not go any lower than it was listed online. I sent another message reminding him what he told me the day before and he did not answered. An hour later I received a message informing that another sales agent had already sold the car. In my opinion, this particular salesman does not work with professionalism towards potential clients.

I scheduled my service over the phone, the person was very helpful and kind. My 5 year old son was with me for the appointment, so I was nervous about how long it might take. I looked out of the window of the waiting room, saw my car sitting there, and was bummed it hadn’t been taken back yet. A few minutes later they came in and told me it was ready! I was very disappointed with this visit. I brought my car in the evening before my appointment and spoke to Abel about what needed to be addressed. I specifically told him that my tire pressure monitoring system light kept coming on when I started my car, even though I had ensured that all 4 tires were properly inflated. He assured me that he would have it checked and went over all the other maintenance checks that would be done, including tire rotation.He called me the next day to inform me of some other issues and I approved the replacement/adjustments he suggested. He called me again a couple of hours later to let me know my car was ready and I went to pick it up. The first thing I noticed when I got in my car was that the tire pressure light was still on, so I pulled back around to the service area and showed that to Abel. He offered apologies that the problem hadn’t been addressed. He then proceeded to inform me that one or more of the TPMS sensors needed to be replaced and said:1. I would need to make a new appointment to have it done2. Quoted an outrageous price to have the sensors checked and possibly replaced because the wheels had to be removed to accomplish that. This, after they had already had the wheels off to rotate the tires.Needless to say, I was most dissatisfied.

I needed an extra car and had shopped around for a bit. After some less than stellar experiences, I finally came to the Toyota dealership in Goleta and what a wonderful experience I had. Great customer service, super friendly, genuine and knowledgeable. I never felt pushed at any time and the gentleman that helped me so patiently and during my test drives, Bryan Dunn, was super nice and made this a great, very comfortable experience along with Benny Madrieal who helped sanction the final deal. Tom Zimmerman was helpful and on the mark and I felt 100 % taken care of with all of them and fortunately had none of the pushy salesman experience that I was somewhat expecting. Was able to make a service appointment at 5:30 pm for the following day! Had an appointment arranged for 7:30 am and my service representative was ready for me. I needed to wait for my car and told the service rep I needed to leave no later than 9:30 am. He reviewed the service plan for the appointment with me and my 2013 Highlander got in line. At 8:50 am my service rep said I was ready to go. He reviewed the work that was completed and I was on the road before 9 am. It doesnt get any better than that! Easy, quick, and professional. I am not a big review guy but we were so pleased with Toyota of Santa Barbara I need to tell someone.My wife was in the market for Toyota 4Runner. She knew exactly how she wanted it equipped. Numerous dealers that we visited did not have it. Her circle grew larger as she kept visiting or calling different dealers, without exception everyone would say.. “we did a search and that vehicle does not exist but we have this one”. It’s a different color or equipment is different. Finally we got to Toyota of Santa Barbara and they did not have the vehicle either...but instead they said let us order it for you, it might take some time but you will get exactly what you want.They took the order over the phone. When the vehicle came in we received a fair and very competitive price. And then, they delivered it to our house, 60 or 70 miles from the dealership, no charge! Mike Caldwell at the dealership was straight forward and pleasant. It’s been a great car buying experience.
