I love my car so much! Service and price were incredible!Editing to add 3 months later: still 5 stars! I bought my car and within 2 weeks Toyota called me to schedule my 5k mile maintenance. I hadn’t hit 5k miles yet, but they still saw me and Erick was very communicative, friendly, and kind. Ask for him on your next service!

Thank you Toyota of El Cajon for your amazing customer service today! Huge thank you to Robert, Frank, James, and David. Your customer service was beyond excellent and we greatly appreciate it. Unfortunately we didnt get the name of the lube tech that worked on the car but huge thank you to him as well. We needed to have a tired repaired asap due to Dr appointments and having a baby any day now. Called Toyota of Santee but was told they were too busy for a tire repair and could schedule an appointment for tomorrow to drop off and pick up. Totally understand being busy and understaffed. You cant control that. As I needed the tire repaired asap we ended up taking it to Toyota of El Cajon and they immediately came out got all the information needed and repaired the tire. I told them that I needed the car back today but if it was going to take a few hours that was no problem. They finished in about an hour. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We cant thank you enough!

First time using the service department and I am very impressed and pleased with the quality of service. Brought my Lexus SUV in for various issues. Was immediately met by smiling Veronica. We chatted while she took my information and then referred me to Shawn Kelley who helped explain some of the problems with my car. He was very professional and informative. He notified me of the timeline and expected completion time. I waited for my ride in the clean TV lounge area and well stocked and hot coffee bar. Two short hours later I received a text with a video link explaining what was done-very cool. Thoroughly impressed with the standard of service I received from Shawn and his team. Please pass this message on to them. I will be bringing all of my vehicles in to Toyota of El Cajon from now on.

WE LOVE MICHAEL FARHAT! My wife and I came in to test drive some of vehicles we were thinking about purchasing with a trade in. Michael welcomed us in and immediately put us in the cars we wanted to see for a test drive. He was so kind and so generous. He got us top dollar for our trade and he also found us a brand new rav4 model that we didn’t even know existed which fit perfect to our needs, wants, and our budget. After several calls and visits to other dealerships, that let us walk out of the store, we decided to call Toyota of El Cajon!! BEST DECISION EVER!!! Ross took our call and sold us a car over the phone. We went there within the hour and he had the exact vehicle, in the exact color scheme, that we wanted! (We got lucky actually, but still). He was awesome from the 1st answered call, to the minute we drove out if the lot. He made us feel welcomed, like family right when he shook our hands. Professional, honest and kind. We were in and out so quick, the only thing we waited for was to talk to the finance team. I still cant believe how easy and painless this purchase was. We went back a few days later because we were deciding which bank we wanted to finance from, and in comes Mr. Danny Trickey! He is an aboslute blessing. About two to three years ago I was really upset because I had sat in the lounge area for over 3 hours with no word on my car. I complained to the manager (something I never do) and he apologized profusely. I dont know if this was the reason for the change in policy but now they keep you informed all the time. I love it. The service worker who helped me yesterday 04/05/24 was awesome. He was very pleasant and informative. Great customer service. Thank you.

Initial normal servicing went fine - video of inspection & pdf of info. However upon driving away from the service we quickly realized the info panel & all buttons were not working. After our scheduled event, we returned to the El Cajon dealership. They kept the car that day & the next. That second day I received a text that an update was to be performed. Late in the afternoon I called to see if car was ready. My service writer had left for the day, I believe, but someone picked up & offered to research. I waited about 10 minutes but figured no luck till next day. Imagine my surprise when a few minutes later they called me back - Jennifer, I believe. Car was ready, they were open & I’m very pleased.

The guy malik that was helping me out didnt know much about the car, I asked him if the car had blind spot warnings and he said he didnt know. I asked about the MPG and he said probably around 24 and I asked if hes sure and he said he has to double check. I appreciate him trying but his lack of knowledge was a big reason I didnt purchase the car. The other person helping his name was Christian told me that the APR with my credit score was 7.99 and when he ran the numbers and came back out he showed me a piece of paper with 8.99 APR and told me that he could try to see if he could get me the 7.99 even though he had already told me he could. I just wish the people helping me were more knowledgeable on the car.

My sales rep is the reason this dealer gets 3 stars because he spent hours answering all our questions. Got there around 3:30 pm first time buyers left around 10:30pm with the 2023 Prius. Someone decided that they were going to ruin our experience by calling a second family about the same car we were coming in for and while we were negotiating had them test driving the car we were purchasing. One of the guys went as far as saying they were entertaining us which i thought was stupid and unprofessional. We bought the car because it was gorgeous and mileage was amazing. We have gone in for three services already the clear coat paint protection thing, new tire and the 5k service. All three times we were told over the phone it would be 45mins. All 3 times we were lied to it was always 2+hrs with appointment. I cannot stress you enough how much we regret even driving here after work to buy a car. Dont buy the clear coat it made our new car look awful and scratched up it has circle swirls all over, dont expect to even be treated right or valued as a customer. The sales reps are in a straight hunger game mode and their bosses try to go over them and go as far as taking the car they are selling and offering it to others. Overall rating is a 3. We also ended up paying the car off the following month because interest rates are ridiculous and if someone had explained that more instead of shoving a whole family next to us on a bid war we could have saved hundreds. First time buyers unless the vehicle actually has a hold with a deposit expect to be screwed over somehow. At this point honestly I just want the clear coat money back it did nothing and looks awful.

Lack of communication.I ordered floor mats for my Avalon over the Internet. After a week, I followed up on the status. I called the number on my email and left a message but never got a callback. I finally called the main number after three weeks and discovered the parts I ordered were discontinued. Now I have to request a refund. Why? If you guys dont have the parts, shouldnt it be an automatic refund? I will never order from this Toyota dealership again!

I was able to get the price and options I wanted in my truck with ease.The staff were very helpful when I was unable to get an insurance policy right away to be able to drive the truck home. Great Shopping experience thanks to Mo. I called to inquire about a vehicle I saw for sale online. Mo took my call and helped me get some questions answered over the phone. We set up a test drive appoint within 30 minutes time and he drove to one of their other lots where the vehicle was located and met me there. Long story short, everything worked out and I purchased the vehicle. It was a no nonsense process. We agreed on the price and there were no hidden costs. I financed through their finance department with no issues and was in and out of there from test drive to driving home in my new car in a couple of hours. I decided it was time to buy a car that more fit my commuting needs. Looking online brought this car to my attention. Cameron was very quick to respond to my emailed inquiry and set us up with an appointment that fit our schedule. He was able to take some basic information from us before hand to speed the paperwork process along. Once we arrived at the location we were greeted and shown to our chosen vehicle and allowed to check it over and take for a test drive. Once the preliminary paperwork was completed and we were passed to the finance department, Paul explained all details and information incredibly well and walked us through every step with much patience and professionalism. The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. As a first time purchaser they made me feel very understood and comfortable. Entire process took around 2 hours. Would highly recommend.

Salesman gave us the integrity speech while purchasing my wifes vehicle, and I liked him so much I was considering getting myself a new car. Then, in the next room. We were signed up for $10,000 in extras that we didnt want. This turned a great day into a major headache, and knowing I will never purchase here again and I will pass the word to my friends. I got punked by feeling comfortable with nice people. I went back and got over $4000 returned. In the next phase, I will get another $4000 back. Also, he was speaking a lot of Spanish with my wife, and the contract was in English. I didnt understand the Spanish but my wife was so happy because its her 1st new car. Anyways I felt like an idiot because I trusted these guys.. I tried my best to be nice, but I even told him I couldnt stand this car already because of the negative experience. Buyer beware. They also lied to me pretty well about my car, and I let that go, but its just another reason not to trust these people.

Sales person was super nice, but they use a screening company that has inaccurate information. I was informed I was declined due to 3 repos. I know I have 2 from Covid because I lost everything, including my house. The third one was a total loss which I provided a letter of pay off but the finance manager said that it’s the same as a repo. No one contacted me to resolve this issue for over a month.

Im reminded everyday I drive my car. I took my car there for a warranty issue with the transmission. After showing the shop Foreman the issue he declined there was an issue. (Thats what it says on my paper work) they then had an FTS come out that witnessed the issue and they lied about what causes the issue and they voided my warranty. Never coming here again to purchase or for repairs. Very dishonest people, between Mr. Anderson and Carlos the shop Forman. This took from July to Sept of games to get my car taken care of. The stuff the tech said before I rode with the shop foreman should have been a hint as to how it goes. An older gentleman that clearly had no idea how to drive a standard. BTW double clutching when down shifting to slow down is what they are blaming.

First, I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted. That got them 2 stars. Second, having bought and sold a dozen vehicles in my life, this was hands down the worst car buying experience Ive ever had. That includes cars I walked away from because the sellers were so bad.I was 2 hours away with the flu, and a broken arm. Dealership refused to hold the car, despite the fact that I waited more than 24 hours for someone to send a coherent contract for me to sign, and had already agreed to purchase with cash. So I had to drive 2 hours, sick, to even get a decent contract without absurd charges added to it. I told both salesman and finance I was coming, and when I arrived, nobody was expecting me, the contract was still wrong, and not ready. !Please give this a read!I recently went and bought a new Tacoma here at the El Cajon location as I was new to the San Diego area and interested in a Tacoma more fit for my lifestyle. This happens time from time (although it shouldn’t). At this time I informed Carlos and Dave that I was out of state for business travel. At this point they became very rude and aggressive. They didn’t consider that I was out of the state they demanded that I return the vehicle asap and continuously threatened to report the vehicle stolen. They sent very rude texts and even hung up on me as I tried to get this resolved. I then reached out to the guest relations manager Laura to make her aware of these issues. I returned the vehicle and Although she was pleasant to work with I wanted to inform the GM and the owners of my experience with Carlos And Dave. I mentioned that if it were me and this was my site I would want to know if events like this were taking place. Dave and Carlos are also managers so their characteristics will influence the rest of the team which isn’t ideal for business.If you are in San Diego I highly recommend going to the Lemon Grove Toyota location as this was by far the best Toyota location in San Diego. I just bought a Sequoia at Toyota of El Cajon. This was by far the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. Spencer was my sales person Eli was my finance guy and Paul was the manager who helped me sort out a few details. I wanted to Sequoia for such a long time but like a lot of people dread going to the car dealership. I was in and out including paperwork keys in hand in just under two hours. My car was in great shape they were fair and so easy to deal with. I would highly recommend Toyota of El Cajon to my friends and family.

**UPDATE. Something that does make me upset about Toyota. When they asked me for my information, I made it very clear that I did not want it shared.They acknowledged. About a week or two later I get a letter in the mail, stating that if I don’t call/mail/go online to update that I do not want my info shared. They would automatically do it. If I missed this letter somehow, I would be screwed, and my info would be shared for their financial profit. That’s extremely poor business. In a time where our personal information is getting sold, leaked, and used against us all the time. This is definitely a bad mark on Toyota.We had a great experience buying our new Highlander. Today I bought a beautiful new Prius LE from Victor Aceves at Toyota of El Cajon, and I couldnt be happier!Before coming to this dealership my partner and I had lousy experiences at two other places in town. At DHC Honda of Mission Valley there werent any sales associates available, so this pushy woman in training tried to strong arm me into buying a car that I wasnt sold on, ignoring my preferences and trying to convince me to get through the financials before understanding the basic functionality of the car we were looking at. Then, at Norm Reeves Toyota in Mission Valley, this guy tried to sell me a Prius for $4k above MSRP, pulling out every trick in the book to try to make it seem like he was doing me a favor. At the end, he was trying to convince me that the dealership actually bought the car from the manufacturer *above* MSRP. It was so insulting.Then, we get to Toyota of El Cajon, and I knew right away that we were in the right place. We were greeted warmly by Michael out front, who directed us to a receptionist who was also lovely and personable. We had been texting with Victor about a specific car, so he knew to expect us, and when he came up to greet us I was honestly taken aback by how open his expression was. You could tell this was a good guy who genuinely cared about his customers.While he was showing us the car it felt like I was talking with a friend. He really knew his stuff, was genuinely excited to talk about the various features (this car is so cool!), and took his time to help me get a feel for the car and what I was getting into. And once we started talking numbers, it was night and day compared with Norm Reeves. He was so upfront about everything, and went out of his way to get us a great deal with different incentives and rebate offers. He kept asking us questions to see if we would qualify for different perks and bonuses - seriously, he is the best. He said right from the very beginning that he wasnt going to waste our time with offers that we all knew were too high, and he didnt.We told both Victor and the dealerships finances guy about our previous experiences and how disheartening they were, and they both said the same thing: Some people just treat this like a job, but were professionals. Its true, folks. Go see Victor. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased a brand new Tacoma here and they sold me some prepaid service plan for up to 75,000 miles. They said that everything will be covered under the plan. Well, the second service I had they charged me $75 for a cabin filter. They’re liars and don’t ever buy prepaid service plan because it wont cover most of the stuff and it’s a scam.

My family and I have been a loyal Toyota customer for decades-the quality of the cars have been great. My family and I decided to purchase a Toyota Sienna within the last year, and we are grateful for Toyota of El Cajon being able to manage and coordinate getting one ordered for us.What is frustrating to us is that the van they gave us only came with one car key and since November of 2022, when we purchased the van, there has been no movement from them at all to get us a second key. If there is any chance that we lost our one van key, or that it drops and breaks, we are SOL. We were told we would get a key within 3-4 months, and that the salesmen who worked with us would give us updates and “work hard on getting us the second key”. It’s been 6 months, so we are definitely over the waiting period. It’s not like we are not careful, but to not have a spare is unsettling.While the customer service was great during the sale (as it usually is at any kind of car dealership), the follow up since then has been pretty much non-existent. We have called and asked them about what we could do, and they just were so short with us and made us feel like we inconveniencing them by just calling them.I’m personally looking to purchase another vehicle for myself, however I doubt I would be able to return to Toyota of El Cajon because of how they have made us feel as customers. I feel let down, disappointed and at this point manipulated by this specific car dealership.They get two stars for how their service was when we were purchasing the van. Save yourself some time, it might be better going to a dealership where the sales team might have more merit to their deals.

Great service desk and friendly staff but LAZY technicians. I recently brough my Toyota in to have its oil changed. The GR86s have been known to have engine problems on track so I brought in a small container and requested an oil sample be taken from my car so I could send it in for an oil analysis and have peace of mind. Frank was great and accommodated my request. I watched him add a note to my service file requesting a sample be taken and that the container was in the center cup holder. After three hours of waiting for the service to be completed we get the car back and the tech failed to get a sample leading me to believe he didnt even read the notes ... Luckily my service was free with one of the three Toyota care services Toyota provides with the purchase of a new vehicle.Very friendly service desk, but I CANT recommend the service department due to a lack of confidence in their technicians. Toyota charges a premium for their labor rates, so you expect a premium service. I would not feel comfortable recommending them to family members or friends who arent car savvy unless theyre going in for free services included in their lease or purchase of a new vehicle. Their Labor rates are too expensive to justify a lack of attention to detail.

I came in on an emergency bases for my daughters 2019 Highlander without an appointment, and with no service history since purchased at a different establishment, No questions were asked, immediately the service department staff assisted me, and I was able to request for a representative who I have worked with in the past on my other vehicles, James Hodgson, he instructed and assigned a specialist in the nature of issues and overall, the issue of faulty brakes, and the vehicle not starting.
