Toyitos Chicken in Downey, California offers delicious chicken, and the staff is somewhat friendly. While Ive had plenty of Peruvian roasted chicken before, I noticed this place slightly lacks the strong Peruvian spices Im accustomed to – maybe theyre aiming for a lighter flavor. Nevertheless, the chicken soup was excellent, and overall, its a good place to enjoy a satisfying meal.

Toyitos is a jewel in the city of Downey. Best Rotisserie Chicken around. I love Chicken with fries and Salchipapas( sliced hotdogs and fries). The chicken has special peruvian flavor and peruvian sauces. Don’t forget the ice cream Lucuma flavor, and the peruvian soda Inka Cola

The food is good. Fresh and tasty. What sucks is if you put in an order over the phone for pickup they told me they will start it once I got there. Defeats the purpose of ordering ahead.

Its always clean and the chicken is fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The reason I dont give 5 stars is the delay; theyre always busy and I have to wait 25-45 minutes for an order. My best advice is to call your order in so you dont have to waist your time waiting for your order inside your car. Toyitos should hire more staff to not let their customers wait for so long.

Best Peruvian Chicken PeriodBeing from Peruvian descent and having had chicken from over 10 different Peruvian restaurants in LA county, this place is the best. Ive been a customer here for over 7 years and this place has never missed. Chicken is always juicy and is packed with flavor every time. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

This place.... Is the best Peruvian rotisserie chicken place in town. The green sauce is lit hot so watch out. Chicken is on point. Not too greasy but juicy enough for good flavor. Just the right amount of seasoning. Gets packed though so go early to get a table.

Worst organization food place! They never have chicken ready. Its always 40 min wait at lunch time. What do thay do make 1 chicken every hour! Stupid operation as a restaurant! Never go here again and its chicken taste exactly as Boston Market but dont have to wait 40 mins.

I love this place. The food is served quickly, fresh and in a friendly way. The chicken is off the charts tasty, never dry and always full of flavor. Its but 10 minutes from Commerce Casino and parking is a snap.

I couldnt tell you when they first opened but I can tell you this is my familys go to rotisserie chicken spot for what seems to be over a decade. From their chicken which is simply amazing and their aguadito (chicken soup)to the green sauce that comes with all their food, ridiculously good. I get Home-cooked feels every single time I eat their food.

Food is good when the owner and the mom run it the rest of the family the other gurl Indian gurl her customer service horrible they give me fresh beans she gave me old beans leftover beans from the pot? If I’m gonna be ordering chicken everything has to be fresh potatoes rice and beans everything the owner needs to come back watch the business or it will fall.

Best Peruvian chicken and food. My favorite food is the Aguadito soup. Their salad is sooooo good with the green chili sauce. The place Its a little small but is worth going and try the food. Its one of those hidden treasures that are hard to find. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This rating is strictly on the food. Theres a small dining area here, but it can get filled up quickly, and I usually order the food to go.This restaurant specializes in Peruvian style rotisserie, and it is the best, if you ask me. The French fries are great, aguadito soup is great, the chicken is unmatched. I could eat here every day.Its not the deepest menu, but El Toyito does what it does great, and I dont think you can go wrong by coming here if youre in the mood for our curious about Peruvian style rotisserie chicken.

We get take out from here all the time. They mostly just have the rotisserie chicken, salad, and fries. There a chicken soup also which is really good. They sometimes have imported lucama ice cream in pints which is hard to find.

Delicious food and never disappointing. You can try anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. My picky eater (almost 2) has always only wanted their aguadito 😁😁We highly recommend this place.
