I went to Torx Motorsports based on the internet reviews and was not disappointed. Had the car serviced, had new tires installed, and had Bilstein coilovers installed on my Fiat 500 Abarth. Great quality of work. They kept me in the loop all the way along the installations and gave me detailed updates. The car has been running great and smooth after the work they have done. Ada and Al are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place especially if you drive a Fiat.

Im so happy that I found an independent mechanic for my Fiat 500 Sport. Nissi has given me great service and can usually fit me in within a day or two. They have worked with me on a repair plan for things that dont need immediate service and provided advice as I consider upgrading to a Fiat Abarth. I also really like being able to talk shop with a fellow gal, Ada, who loves cars like I do! I grew up in my dads shop as he repaired classic European cars. Although I didnt learn enough to do the hardcore wrenching on my car (he should have at least taught me how to do an oil change, right? haha), I do understand why things happen and when something needs to be fixed right away. So its great to be able to talk about my cars needs with someone who respects my opinion and questions and I know they do an honest job. I only wish they opened a little earlier or stayed open a little later because I usually have to take time off of work to drop off and pick up my car. Its still worth it to be able to avoid the dealership.

Excellent work ethic and quality.I had a new turbo installed as well spark plugs and ignition coils done. UPDATE (5/2/2022): Another excellent experience with Al at Torx. Because my daughter daily drives my Abarth, I asked Al to replace the timing belt, water pump and accessory belt early (120K i/o 150K recommended).Ive been a customer at Torx (and under previous ownership as Nissi Motors) for my entire ownership of my Abarth since 2015. I brought my 2012 Fiat 500 in for a pre-trip check. It was absolutely perfect. They were able to see me on short notice (and even were able to accommodate a second last-minute appointment shift when my scheduled changed unexpectedly). Ada was exceptionally helpful and kind, and they were honest about what was needed as a result of the check and up front about costs for both parts and labor. It allowed me to head out of town without worry, and as expected had no issues at all on my trip! I’ll be going back to Torx for all my service needs!

Ever since the Fiat dealership closed in SF back in 2015, I started taking my 2012 manual Fiat 500 Sport to Nissi Motors. Ive only had great experiences with Nissi. They are very professional yet personable and do great work on my car everytime. Ada is always looking for ways to assist me in saving $ on my repairs and reminds me when I need to get regular maintenance work done. Benny has taken time to personally call me when I had a serious issue with my car to discuss ways for me to make the best decisions and affordable options about my car repairs. I really appreciate their detailed work on my car and great customer service. They care about their customers safety and making us happy return customers. Bonus: theres a cute shop cat to pet too!

2023 update;Al has since become my go-to mechanic. Still going strong, and has since fixed / replaced brakes, fuel injection, spark plugs and other maintenance updates needed. My car runs amazingly, and I have mainly gone to BMW service since I didnt trust other mechanics outside of BMW Service. Im glad he was recommended to me, because my car is well taken care of convenient for me !!---Highly recommend. I had my car there this past week (2014 BMW 4 series coupe) for a seat damage repair. They were recommended by Collison center I use when I need exterior repairs. I usually I bring my car into BMW service for maintenance and/or internal repairs. Which not fond of the price there, but trust they will get my car fixed correctly. I was happy to find TORX as they are BMW certified and from what I know - are former BMW service employees. End result - happiness. My passenger seat is fixed, they changed my oil - looked at a past issue for me and gave a second opinion, and changed spark plugs. all within reason and extremely competitive pricing. Best part is they are extremely organized, professional, and nice. The last one is very difficult to find in garages/repair shops. so I appreciate that. I will def bring in here vs BMW service from now on :). Thank you Al, Ada, and team.

Hands down the best service shop Ive ever dealt with! I had a hard time finding a shop to take care of my Fiat 500x, since its an uncommon enough model that even the dealership service centers acted like they didnt see very many of them. I came across Torx during some google searching and Ada quickly confirmed that they work on the 500x and got me scheduled for an appointment right away.Theyve found and fixed issues that I wasnt aware of and that the dealerships missed, and communication is always fantastic, as other reviewers have mentioned. Ada has always provided frequent and honest updates when my little Fiat has been in the shop to let me know whats going on or if any surprises come up. Theyve even gone above and beyond to let me know in advance and provide part numbers in cases where I could save money by ordering a part myself from another source.In short, if youre looking for an honest, professional shop that you can trust to take care of your car and look out for you too, check out Torx!

This was my first experience with Nissi, and I was encouraged to try them based on the wonderful reviews that I read. Benny and Ada could not have been nicer or more helpful. They did an excellent job servicing my Mercedes and the cost was certainly reasonable. I can not imagine taking my car anywhere else ever again! In this day of lowered expectations and gratitude for minimal service, it is such a pleasure to find a business that takes their responsibilities very seriously and understands how to treat customers. This small auto service business is tucked away on Clara Street but it’s easy to get to. I made my appointment on line and they greeted me by name when I arrived - a nice touch. Ada Wong estimated the time and costs and both came in as predicted. The tune up for my 6 year old Honda Fit was complete in 2 hours. The vibe is both professional and friendly and I instantly trusted them. I am happy with their work and will definitely return there.

The level of service and quality of work at Torx Motorsports deserves beyond five stars! Credit goes to Ada for her exceptional customer service. I am grateful beyond measure for what she has done for me. Al the owner, has the qualities of what I value in a good mechanic, someone who is knowledgeable, honest, and attentive to details. I cannot say enough good things about Ada and Torx motorsports! I received clear, concise and timely communication about the issues my 2012 Fiat 500 Lounge need addressed. Ada is very knowledgable about Fiats and let me know exactly what needed to be done, how much it was going to cost and how important the repair was or if I could wait and save $$.Ive taken my car in twice ( a few years apart) and both times I received EXCELLENT customer service with a very friendly and professional attitude. I really trust these guys! Also, the location is easy to get in and out of since it is on a little side street in SOMA, so no stress when trying to navigate!Simply put, if you own a Fiat in San Francisco, youd be crazy to take your car anywhere else.( Scope of work -I had my sunroof fixed as well as some regular maintenance ie brake line flushed, air and cabin filters replaced. On my previous visit, they had a solution to fixed the trunk latch on the cheap and saved $$$ rather than replace the whole mechanism -- and that solution is still working years later!!)

I keep coming back because they dont push unnecessary work on you, they make good recommendations about how to address problems with the car, and they take care of you as a customer. It can sometimes be difficult to get an appointment with them, but its worth the wait for the good service.Update: 2/5/18Just got my car back from a day at Nissi. They delivered as always! I asked them to install some performance parts for my 500 Abarth, and they handled everything beautifully. Im continuously impressed with how well they communicate with me as a customer, and how straight forward they are. Thank you Nissi and Ada! My Fiat 2012 was in bad shape – oil leak and engine light problems. I had taken it to two different mechanics and they were giving me different diagnostic and the problem still persisted after I did initial repairs. Finally was fed up, hoped for the best and brought it into Nissi based on their great reviews. Got great vibes and transparency from talking to Ada and the mechanic. They were very forthright about what they needed to do. During the repair, Ada and team had exceptional communication and called/texted with updates. And on top of that, Ada went above and beyond, called my extended warranty provider on my behalf so I didn’t have to and got the repair covered! Handled all the paperwork as well. My car is running smoothly again with no problems. These guys are super! Just wish they had weekend hours as I live and work in the East Bay.

I recently was in the market for a 2013 BMW X5 35i e70. I felt like i had a pretty good buying experience and needed to find someone to help me take care of my new used car. The reviews looked pretty good for this place so I came by. I met Ada and Al and immediately felt at ease. They were welcoming and I felt they genuinely cared about my concerns.Al informed me of some oil leaks present but was very honest about how urgent or minor each leak was. From what I understand he came from a lengthy BMW dealership background. He was even so kind enough to teach me about how certain components may have had extended coverage (which was true and he helped me to save money). I have already referred my father to service his vehicle with torx motor sports.The confidence and ability this shop presented to me is reassuring. After 2 years of trying to get my fiat 500s repaired here in the Bay Area, and getting nowhere, I finally found Torx Motorsports and I couldn’t be happier. They were kind, understanding, incredibly thorough and reasonably priced. Ive only been to Nissi Motors to service my vehicle twice, but I feel like I have gone to them since I first started driving. As soon as you walk in the garage, Ada makes you feel welcome. The shop is clean, everyone is very friendly, and Benny is highly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what service my car needs & why. He even took the time to educate me on the things he sees go wrong most commonly with my car (Fiat) & advised me on warning signs to look out for so that I can catch it prior to the warranty expiring.They provide excellent skill, service, and even communicate with me conveniently over email & text. I brought my Fiat 500X to ask for a second opinion, since another service place detected a transmission problem and they were asking for a lot of $$$ to change it. Within a few hours the staff detected that the problem was instead electrical and by cleaning the sensor they fixed the issue.I really recommend the place: they really spent time to analyze my car and understand what the issue was. The staff is very friendly and they walk me through the whole process.Finally they saved me a lot of $$$ :)

There is only 1 shop in SF that really knows Fiats and Im lucky its Torx. Theyre aways honest and quick with their services. I actually found this shop before I even bought my (used) 2015 Fiat 500 because I called them to see if they could let me know common issues theyd seen when servicing Fiats. Ada was super helpful and I wasnt even a customer at the time - just a random phone call! Ive been going to them for all maintenance since.

My 124 had a clunking noise from the front left suspension area - another mechanic couldnt find any problem, at Torx they were able to find the culprit in a matter of a couple of hours, after driving and lifting the car for around 180$.They shared some pictures they took of the worn joint, and suggested the exact part number - since the part wasnt available online within the week, they suggested I could go ahead and find it on cheaper reseller, and possibly bring the car back to install it.Overall very satisfied! :)

I was so relieved and happy that another woman manages the shop. Ada was so kind and transparent about everything that was happening with my car. Daniel was so efficient and helpful, as well. Had a great experience with Receptionist Ada and Mechanic Bennie. Nissi Motors was recommended by my next door neighbor and Im glad I followed her advice. Bennie took time and carefully went over my concerns and needs. At my last oil change at one of those 10 Minute Oil Change places, the service agent told me I needed the Fuel/Air Induction Service ($69.95) and Power Steering Service ($59.95). Bennie checked out my car and told me neither service was needed. He only did what was needed. Will definitely return for future scheduled service.

Nissi Motors is a true gem when it comes to auto service. My 2012 BMW 535i came off of warranty and was due for regular maintenance. I was concerned that it would cost me an arm and a leg as the dealership was estimating I would spend about double what I did at this mileage interval. Ada was very friendly from the first point of contact. She asked a few questions during our first call to make sure they were ready with all parts before I even came in. Throughout the whole process, Ada checked in with me and gave me options, all via text, with pictures. Nothing was completed without me signing off. Honesty, integrity and competence are key when I decide where to service my BMW, and Nissi Motors will definitely be my go-to service place.

I just bought the Fiat 500 Abarth I always wanted and had Nissi Motors do a post purchase inspection. When I need to get my 2005 BMW X5, aka Hey Girl, repaired, I do not hesitate to call Benny of Nissi Motors. Hey Girl is actually due for an Oil Change as her age is a factor for more frequent maintenance. If I were not informed, the oil would be black sludge as it previously happened a year ago. This information from Bennys cache of knowledge he gives freely with sincerity is priceless. What is even better is that he genuinely cares about my car as if it were his own vehicle. We have a 2005 Mini Cooper that needed an oil change and a repair for our driver side window. We needed to find a reputable mechanic who works on Mini Coopers but who wouldnt cost an arm and a leg. Our friend just recently had a lot of work done on her BMW at Nissi (now Torx) and recommended them to us.I was put in contact with Ada back in 2019 and she is the best! Her communication is all I could have ever wanted and more. She was very open and honest about everything. Never tried to up-sell us. Once the window was taken apart she sent me a picture of it and what the work entailed. We had an issue with our windshield wiper motor which we ended up fixing later. However at the time, they went to check to see what the problem was at no charge. She gave me a breakdown of what the full charges would be and even asked if it is something that we wanted to continue with. She made it known that there was no pressure and we didnt have to proceed if we didnt want to. I really appreciated that.They really did all they could to impress us as 1st time customers. Since then we have been back a numerous times to fix a list of things that was recommended (clutch, power steering, new tires, brake issue, etc). Al has been nothing but up front and is always doing what he can to save us money. We have been coming to Torx since June of 2019 and will keep coming back. If you are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, reliable place to take your vehicle, then go to Torx and talk to Ada and Al.

We have a 1995 Mercedes E class convertible. Our previous mechanic died and I started searching for the right place for this classic. I had been given a few recommendations and did some of my own research. There were some places with four or five stars but not many actual reviews.Then I found Benny and Ada. Benny takes care of the cars in his care as if they were his own. When you talk to him, you know he is a man who takes pride in his work.Ada handles what I would call the front office. She keeps you informed on the progress of your repair, lets you know if there are any changes or ways to save you money.Having work done on your car is never pleasant, but these two made it the least painful it could be. I will not take our car anywhere else from now on.

I dont write many reviews but I love Nissi Motors. I am very lucky to live just a few doors down from Nissi so I could literally push my car to Bennys shop without a problem. Fortunately I doubt I would ever have to since my cars are so well maintained at Nissi Motors. There is no fancy waiting room but you get one of the most knowledgeable and professional owners in the business with Benny. I also found Aida (hope I spelled correctly) to be very helpful and pro-active with communications. She and Benny are very professional I have taken my CLK55 and 335D vehicles to Nissi and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to find a shop you can trust will do things correctly.April 2015 Update:I took my 2011 335D for its 40K service. Well, I must say, my experience with my car repairs at Nissi Motors was nothing of the sort. I bought an used 2012 Fiat 500 with apparently lots of fixing to do. A mechanic said I’d spend a lot of money for it, but I prefered to research for someone specialized on this type of cars. My 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman is literally my best friend. I had a new thermostat and valve covers replaced on my Mini Cooper S. They warranted their work for a year which gave me some peace of mind. I had recently heard through the Bay Area Fiat Club that Torx Motorworks in San Francisco is an independent shop that works on Fiats. I was seriously indeed of a brake job. I called to request a quote for a brake job on my 2014 500 Abarth. I scheduled my appointment for later that week. Ada and Bennie at Nissi Motors in San Francisco were wonderful. They accomplished the impossible replacing our convertible top on our Fiat after it was damaged. It took some time, 5½ months, but it was worth it. We didn’t have to total our car because of their persistence. When they returned our car to us she looked like new. They even detailed her. The only thing was Ada told me that I needed to get gas right away. I would have been willing to pay a little bit more to have had the tank full to drive right out of the garage.I only say that because the Shell gas station around the corner on 5th and Mission is a complete rip off. The gas was $4.25 a gallon and you couldn’t see the screen. It was so scratched up and the pixels so faint that even when shaded from the sun it wasn’t readable. If that wasn’t enough, since the gas was so expensive, I thought I would fill up the tank to $10 and that should get me to where I needed to go where gas was only $3.55 a gallon. The moment I thought that, I saw the price on the meter jump from $6 to $21. There was no explanation for why it jumped so quickly. That rate is normally close to a full tank of gas in the Fiat, but it was only half a tank when I got back into the car. It also doesn’t take that much to fill up the Fiat. I stopped pumping the gas immediately and left the station fuming.Excellent service at Nissi Motors. I would top off the great service with filling up the car with gas for the customers and charging a little bit more for the service. I don’t think that anyone would complain especially when the car is returned fully detailed and looking brand new.

Excellent service to both vehicle and customer.Our 2001 M-B E320 has 178,000 miles on it. Nissi Motors has taken excellent care of the vehicle. Nissi Owner Benny and Service Manager Ada explain what service is needed and what service can be put off. They order needed parts in advance. The vehicle is always returned when promised. The shop specializes in European vehicles. The shop has all needed tools and computer diagnostic programs from the OEMs. The shop has worked on a family members Toyota and I have seen other Asian vehicles in the shop. Had the team at Torx inspect my 2012 Volkswagen Touareg after I discovered a rat had crawled under the hood and chewed through the wiring to one of the ignition coils. Benny and the rest of the team at Nissi Motors are fantastic.Some backstory...I have worked on cars my entire life. Since I could hold a wrench, I have been in our garage working on the family cars. Changing brakes, alternators, water pumps, radiators, etc. You name it...Ive probably changed/worked on it. I mention this to illustrate the point that I am not the typical customer who knows nothing about their car...quite the opposite. For this reason, I feel I have a unique perspective when it comes to reviewing a business like Nissi Motors and why I feel so strongly about the quality and integrity of Nissi MotorsOur MINI Clubman was having a major electrical problem. The car ran fine however none of the electrical accessories (windows, turn signals (!), lights) would operate. After looking around and reading a few reviews, I decided to go with Nissi Motors. My whole experience was great. After calling and setting up the appointment with Ada at the front desk, I dropped the car off outside their shop early the next morning. Ada called me later that morning to let me know that they had received the car and that Benny would be calling me back personally once they had a chance to look at it. Sure enough, I got a call later the same day with the exact details of what was wrong.A certain electrical component (FRM Module) had gone bad. While not an inexpensive repair, Benny explained the full cost of the repair over the phone. The part itself is expensive and in addition to the actual installation, Benny had to tie my onboard computer into the MINI proprietary database to program the new module into my car. Benny incurs a fee from MINI for this and of course this fee was part of my bill...which was all explained to me.I go into the above detail because often times, people are at the complete mercy of their mechanic. Due to my knowledge (see first paragraph) and the fact that I confirmed everything that I was told with my own research, I know that Benny was 100% honest and upfront with me. There were no hidden chargers or extras when I picked up my car.Benny and the rest of the team at Nissi Motors are very knowledgeable, completely honest and more than fair when it comes to pricing repairs. (What else could you ask for?) I will not hesitate to return to Nissi Motors.And to put the exclamation point on the story, when I picked up my car (which now runs like a top again) after the repair, Benny told me that they noticed I had a brake light out and that they changed the bulb while doing the rest of the work. I was charged $1 for the new bulb. A few weeks prior, I had had the car in to the MINI dealership for an oil change (oil changes were thrown in when we bought the car) and they noticed the same expired bulb. While I dont remember the exact number, I think they wanted $25 to change it. While I realize that changing a bulb is not a labor intensive exercise, doing something like this is the type of customer service that I was so impressed with.

Al figured out I had a broken rocker arm and he had my car fixed by the time I needed to drive home from work. My car drives perfectly now! Since he is close to the freeway, it was really easy to commute to and from. Will definitely use them for anything else I might need.

I am taking about Benny Lui, the owner of Nissi Motors, on Clara St (b/t 4th and 5th St) SoMa in San Francisco.Benny Lui, although still young, is very knowledgeable and an excellent Mechanic (old school) who knows his profession like no other. Benny goes out of his way to explain the problem, gives advise what to do about it, and leaves you with the impression that your car is in the right hands.
