Extremely grateful to Dr Zaveri and his staff for seeing me at such short notice to deal with an emergency. Exceptional Doctor and Team.I was referred to Dr. Zavery at Torrey Pines Eye Care following invasive surgery for a retina tear that later led to a cataract. Initially, I was advised to wear glasses, and the clinics staff provided excellent assistance with this. However, as the cataract progressed, the glasses became ineffective. Despite my complex eye history, which includes previous laser correction and emergency surgeries, Dr. Zavery thoroughly explained all my options and successfully performed the cataract surgery, selecting the perfect implant. Thanks to his expertise, my vision is now sharp and clear, and I anticipate it will remain so for another 50 - 70years to come. Dr. Zavery is extremely professional and highly recommended.

I have been a patient at Torrey Pines Eye Care since March of 2023. The staff has always been very welcoming and helpful at each visit since. Both my husband and I were having trouble with styes that would not heal. Torrey Pines Eye Care provided some practical solutions to help our eyes. Torrey Pines Eye care is great. I would highly recommend them for your eye care needs.

Dr. Bainter saw me the same day when I had a urgent eye situation came up (iritis), and immediately diagnosed and treated the issue. Dr. Bainter also was very accommodating in scheduling the follow-up appointments around my course schedule. Very friendly and skilled doctor.

This place is amazing, they have both optometrists and highly qualified opthalmologists for more serious eye issues. Theyre easy to schedule with, and even fit me in for a last minute opthalmology exam. Highly recommend for any exams/treatment you might need. I saw Dr. Zaveri and he is pleasant to deal with and really know his stuff, he has all the right equipment for proper diagnoses and will know exactly where to send you if you happen to need a certain specialty.

Dr. Zaveri is the best doctor in San Diego CA and the best eye surgeon I ever experienced. Dr Zaveri is a very knowledge, patient, and kind doctor who answered all my numerous questions, and removed 2 cataracts from my eyes. He went beyond in the entire cataract removal process. I now have 20/20 vision in both my eyes without glasses.I appreciate Dr Zaveri, Lisa his assistant, and other staff members. This was the best decision I could ever have made was to go to Dr Zaveri.

An unfortunate medical situation led me to an introduction to Dr. Zaveri of Torrey Pines Eye Care. During the four months I have been under his care, I have experienced attentiveness to care as never before.From the first entrance into the office I was met with a genuine interest in assuring I was informed of all procedures to be performed. In their sensing the level of my anxiety, their calmness was reassuring that the best outcome for me was their top priority.During consultations with Dr. Zaveri I was never made to feel he was in a hurry; he in minute detail explained the challenges I was facing and the options available to best correct them.Friends who have had surgery similar to mine have been amazed at the level of preparation for surgery and follow up which I have experienced and which so differed from theirs.Today, a mere week after corrective surgery, I am amazed at the brightness of color, the beauty of the sky and the joy returning to my life thanks to the care of Dr. Zaveri and the entire Staff.

I have been seeing Dr. Zaveri for several years as he is one of the most caring, intelligent, thoughtful and respectful doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. I have an issue that may require surgery but he continues to monitor me and doesn’t push surgery unless he feels it’s necessary as he knows that’s also my position. He’s conservative and not pushy. He provides his opinion and helps you come to your own decision. It’s very refreshing in today’s world. He recently opened a new office in La Jolla. It’s beautiful with all of the state of the art technology. He has hired staff members who have the same values as him. If you want a great Dr with a great staff who are friendly, caring and know their stuff, this is the place for you!

Dr. Zaveri performed my cataract surgeries (one eye at a time) two years ago. The surgeries were quick and painless. My resulting distance vision is 20/20 in both eyes. I get 20/20 close-up vision by using cheap off-the-shelf reader glasses. I couldn’t ask for anything more.Last week, I needed to have a common laser surgery to fine-tune my vision. The YAG laser encapsulotomy surgery was painless and it took less than 10 minutes.I can tell that Dr. Zaveri and his staff are very concerned about their patients. Dr. Zaveri took his time with me to ask specific questions about my vision and overall health. I never felt rushed out of his office. It’s especially nice to find a doctor who is willing to take his time to get to know his patient and to do things carefully.I was also impressed with his modern and thorough examination equipment. He was able to accurately examine my lenses, retina and the rest of my eyes and then show me his findings on his computer screen. It was fascinating and informative. I felt like I was fully informed and I was very comfortable with following Dr. Zaveri’s surgery and treatment recommendations.In general, I am extremely pleased with Dr. Zaveri’s care before, during and after my surgeries.

Working with Dr. Zaveri and his caring staff has been a tremendously positive experience! A weekend visit to the emergency room led to a Monday morning follow-up with Dr. Zaveri. The level of care and attention received that day - and at each visit since then - has been amazing. My experience with Torrey Pines Eye Care and in particular Dr Zaveri have truly been outstanding.He performed a robotic lens replacement on my right eye and had to work in close consultative harmony with the surgeon who had performed a prior retina surgery. Not only did he spend significant time explaining the procedure, the various lens choices and respective pros and cons of each, but it was clear from the very start, that he was intimate with my retina condition and its nuances, and was planning to take all the necessary precaution to ensure a highly successful outcome.My surgery was on a Friday morning, my first post-op visit the same afternoon, and he spoke with me regularly during the weekend to ensure that I wasn’t experiencing any undue discomfort, or had any concerns.I am now almost a month out from surgery, with a great result, in total alignment with his and my expectation.I highly recommend Dr Zaveri, his team and their choice of surgery centers.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Maulik Zaveis expertise and skill in conducting my cataract surgeries. I recently underwent surgery for both of my eyes, and Dr. Zavei conducted an excellent job, even in the presence of complications from my prior surgeries. Despite my complicated case where my left eye had a previous retina detachment, Dr. Zavei conducted meticulous testing and surgery with the utmost precision. And the result? My left eye is now functioning better than before, with an amazing +0.75 compared to the previous -7.0!Dr. Zavei also performed an excellent cataract surgery on my right eye, and I am astonished at the results. I can now see close to a 20/20 vision, and I can finally say goodbye to my long-distance glasses. The level of care he provided was exceptional, and I feel like a new person.Overall, I am ecstatic about Dr. Zaveis exceptional skills and dedication to his profession. His expertise in cataract surgery is undoubtedly unmatched, and I highly recommend him to everyone looking for such procedures. I have been a patient of Dr. Bainters for at least five years, and was truly happy to hear that I could still follow her as a patient when she moved to Torrey Pines Eye Care. My prior medical charts were forwarded to her and she is continuing to closely monitor certain eye conditions that concern her: tracking glaucoma; possible retina separation; and optical nerve thinning. She shows great concern for her patients, and carefully explains what the various photos and testings are showing. The office staff is very helpful and polite. If asked, I would certainly recommend Dr. Bainter and Torrey Pines Eye Care to anyone interested.

I was searching for an ophthalmologist for my daughter’s red eyes. I was able to get a same day appointment at Torrey Pines Eye Care. Dr. Zaveri has been wonderful. Dr. Zaveri is not only one of the best Opthamalogist but one heck of a surgeon.My cataracts were a little complicated but he made the surgery look like a piece of cake. Dr. Maulik Zaveri has been thr ophthalmologist for my lens replacement (cataract) surgery. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. First, he took two hours of his time to clearly explain all the options available to me. I was extremely myopic with some astigmatism and some cataracts. I was sent to a retina specialist to ensure the retina was healthy. My refraction and astigmatism and we’re checked on three separate dates to ensure they had the most accurate measurements. The surgical staff at North Coast Surgery Center were wonderful! Throughout the entire process, Dr. Zaveri was available to me via text and he even called several times to see how I was doing. He has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and I knew I was in very skilled hands with a very caring doctor.I now see better than I ever have - incredible clarity. I highly recommend Dr. Zaveri and Torrey Pines Eye Care.

At 4:30 AM I went to the emergency room with a possible retinal detachment. I was referred to the Torrey Pines eyecare Center and they took me in without an appointment on an emergency basis.Doctor Zaveri was very thorough and explained my situation clearly and patiently until I understood and said for me to wait 2 to 4 weeks and my eye should begin seeing better by then.It’s two weeks later today, so I went in for my second visit. I am so glad to report that my eye is seeing much better now.I have found our families forever ophthalmologist.Thank you Dr. Zaveri!

I can’t say enough about this place. I got a same day appointment, my eyes probably got the most thorough exam they’ve ever had, and I found a great pair of glasses from their ample selection. Just to note they were also willing to order a frame if I had my heart set on something not in their inventory. I thought that was a customer-friendly touch!Everyone on staff was kind and professional and there is plentiful parking around the building which makes the arrival experience easy. It’s also well-located so I was able to knock about 3 more to-do’s off my day’s list after the appointment by being close by lots of other shops.My new glasses came in within a week and it’s wonderful to REALLY see well again!
