Overpriced and under-delivered.Liked · The location was good, with easy access to downtown. Front desk staff was attentive and accommodating. There were bikes available for the use by guests.Disliked · The hotel claims to be newly renovated, but our room was still very tired looking with an uncomfortable bed and chipped and worn furniture. The biggest challenge was that our reservation was lost, and we were overcharged for our stay before we pointed this out. Light housekeeping did not happen in 5 hours that we were away from the property during the day. The hotel tried to make amends but facilities were still lacking.

A beautifully remodeled hotel. Close, walkable to downtown Los Gatos for shopping & restaurants. We were greeted with a glass of wine & a chocolate chip cookie! Very comfy beds. Our room had a small deck which was lovely for fresh air. Highly recommend.

Totally clean low end hotel at the very end of shopping downtown district. It was completely fine though not nice for the price. It felt a little sketchy with unlocked doors to the Main Street and parking lot which felt like anyone could wander in unseen. Bathtub had a chunk out of the tub and no drain stopper and just generally seemed icky to me so flew home without a shower. Los Gatos is a cute place though this hotel was a big let down. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again or recommend.

Hotel phone greeting says ‘newly renovated hotel’ - false advertising. NOTHING about the property is renovated. The rooms are VERY tired and dated… holes in blinds and curtains, wood furniture is all very beaten. no glasses in rooms - only paper cups, no wine opener - you have to request one, no streaming services, dated bathrooms and lighting, loud AC/heating unit, furniture and parts of carpeting in public areas are stained. To top it off - they shut off the hotel water on our check out day which was certainly not convenient! The property appears to be operated on a shoestring budget. Recommend you consider staying at Hotel Los Gatos instead.

I stayed at the Toll House recently and my rental cars battery died. AAA was going to take several hours to arrive. Members of the Toll House maintenance department helped me jump start the car. They even offered up their own jumper cables. This is the type of great service that keeps me coming back.

The hotel was very nice, quiet, and clean. I came here for a party and not many people around at the time. The service was very good. The food was just above average. I think it is depending on what they were ordered. I really like and enjoy this hotel and highly recommended.

This hotel is overpriced... I cant imagine ever staying here again, there is no food, soda water, a restaurant that is open for dinner for 3.5 hours.. I have stayed at a great number of hotels in the area due to frequent work trips, would rather stay at: Hotel Los Gatos, Doubletree pruneyard, Hotel Valencia Santana Row, Best western Los Gatos.Lost of lost potential...

The resorts pricing is undeniably steep, and the $25/day resort fee, while providing some basic amenities like a bottle of water, a limited assortment of fruit, and simple coffee and pastries, falls short of what you might expect for the cost. Regrettably, the absence of a pool, scenic views, and minimal gym facilities can be a letdown. Furthermore, the lack of a full-length mirror is quite inconvenient, especially when preparing for important events like weddings hosted at the hotel.In our experience, our room was seriously lacking in essentials like shampoo and body wash. When we requested refills, we were handed small bottles that barely meet the needs of one person, let alone two.Given these concerns, it would be prudent to explore alternative accommodations, such as the Holiday Inn, Los Gatos Lodge, or Best Western, which may offer a more satisfying stay.

Great location, but the rooms were pretty bare-bones for the price. The bed was only mediocre and the carpet was kind of rough. There wasnt even a pad of paper and pen for me to take notes with.Watch out that they also charge a $28 destination fee when you check in on top of the actual room fee.

The location of this hotel is ideal. Right on the strip where things are fun a busy. Coffee shops, restaurants, breakfast places and bakeries, offices and pubs. As a hotel itself, i would say its “okay”. It’s clean, rooms are huge and bathrooms are spacious. However, the gym is extremely small, there is no option for breakfast, just morning coffee, and the hotel doesn’t include a pool or any additional amenity. A new Italian restaurant just opened up right in the lobby area which is delicious though :)

The room was very clean. it had all the usual amenities, ample parking, easy no hassle access for you and whatever guests you invite. Centrally located in a very trendy part of town. Plenty of everything close by--even a Mac store 1 block over and a farmers market across the street on Sunday.My only complaint was the stomping from the guests upstairs. Other than that the rooms are pretty soundproof.

Tired hotel. I stayed on the 2nd floor and the constant footsteps above me reminded me of my college apartment days.Not concerned about the drought in California - toilet ran constantly and the shower was like a fire hose.Staff was friendly.No room service but there’s a restaurant on-site (closed Mondays, expensive, but they do take out).They offer free EV charging which is a huge plus for us.

Booked a week long stay here for work and upon check in was completely taken for surprise. The hotels “renovations” consist of new wall paper and new really cheap and tacky furniture. The rooms are really icky and you can tell they just slapped paint over everything.The staff was incredibly accommodating and wonderful and the location is very convenient, hence the 2 stars.Hopefully once all of the renovations are fully complete things will start to look up.

Never stayed at the hotel, but the restaurant is great. Service is awesome, and they serve warm popovers with every meal. They have an outrageous, artery clogging pork/duck burger, served on a macaroni and cheese bun (really), with a fried egg on top. Not something to have on a regular basis.Update a few years later. I’ve stayed there recently - new restaurant (high end Italian…no more popovers or burgers). The rooms are interesting - the hotel sort of rambles, so the rooms are all different, some with balconies, some in little alcoves off the main hall. The rooms we’ve stayed in were comfortable, fairly large, but need some updating. Post COVID, the amenities are lacking - small plastic cups in the bathroom (Motel 6 quality). The garage parking is awesome - 10 EV chargers (5 Tesla)! Unfortunately, the restaurant is only open after 5PM, so you need to go elsewhere for breakfast, although they do have coffee and some pastries out in the morning. Friendly staff at the desk, good workout rooms. Great location in Los Gatos - close to all the good restaurants and shops.

This hotel was just OK and I really expected more for being in downtown Los Gatos. I grew up here and it was my first time staying at the Toll House since moving away. My biggest gripe with this hotel (and pretty much any hotel that renovates) is that they dont put ACTUAL doors on the bathrooms. It is just a sliding barn door that doesnt offer any privacy when more than one person is staying in the room. There isnt even an exhaust fan to help create noise to make for some sort of privacy. The front desk staff was helpful when needed and I did appreciate the complementary champagne at check-in and bagged breakfast.

This place is trash!!! Wife and I were attending a wedding and decided to stay here because of the reviews. First off I want to say the bar and head bartender were absolutely fantastic. When you pay the what this place is charging it is a total RIP OFF!!! We were having problems with our TV and they literally said oh, someone stole the TV from this room so we are having problems with this new one They promised us a refund after spending hours trying to fix it which never happened. This place only charges what they charge due to the location. The employees were being VERY loud outside of our room until around 1am. DO NOT try to book this hotel. They could care less about their guests. We never received a refund. Find another hotel within minutes of this one.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was clean and well presented. My kids a great time and loved the room too. The first floor has a cool open area that you can use as a way to keep your kids busy. The hotel is not huge, allowing it to be more intimate and not overwhelming as most good size hotels. I recommend it.

Great location! The hotel is nice but the rooms are on the smaller side. There wasn’t any service of any kind, due to COVID. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room, crumbs were left between the side of the bed and wall from the previous guest, that was gross! Towels were gross stained with make up & dark spots. You could tell they don’t pay attention to detail, the surface was clean but the corners and everywhere else had dust and dirt.

This hotel is very clean and well-maintained, the beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly. I would recommend trying to get a room that is a good distance away from the ice/vending machine though as it is a bit loud and can be heard in some rooms. Other than that it was perfect. And, the convenient location in downtown Los Gatos cant be beat since you can walk everywhere! Highly recommend.

For a luxury hotel, the experience was not luxurious as the price, and thats why Im giving it only 3 stars. The hotel as of December 2021 is still renovating the restaurant and they have no operating kitchen. At all. Therefore, a lot of the amenities that would make this place really special are completely missing. The beds are on the hard side and the in-room amenities do not include a microwave. They only offer DVD players and do not have in room movie service. Our soap supplies were empty and we had to ask repeatedly. They also have a coffee maker that is neither a standard coffee maker, nor a Keurig, so you have to drink the coffee they provide and cant use your own. On the positive side, the staff is responsive, the rooms are very big,

Great stay within easy walking distance of many dining and shopping options. The front desk was also extremely helpful in helping me retrieve an item left in my room after checkout; the cleaning staff had put my item in a bag and tagged it with my room number before submitting it to lost and found which made getting it back extremely simple!

This hotel allowed me to book and pay for a suite they then said at check in was unavailable due to renovation. Except others in our group were checked in to the suite I paid for. So they lie about overbooking. Also, no cleaning consistency - one day they made the bed but didn’t do anything else, another day they cleaned the bathroom and didn’t make the bed. The day between they simply didn’t clean anything. Also hotel has zero amenities - no bar/restaurant or anything at all. Except parking for $10 in an empty garage that is wide open to the street. A highway motel provides better service than this place.I asked for a call from the manager at checkout since the guy who checked me in committed to reduce the rate to the room they gave me and add an additional discount. Neither we’re done. Of course they didn’t call.P.S. Dennis, the mask doesn’t work below your nose.

I would recommend that you stay at Hotel Los Gatos. My hotel room looked like a old run down Hilton room with bedding that didnt match and the bed was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs. There was mold in the shower and the furniture was broken - all of it. None of the drawers would stay shut and it was a struggle to get into the mini fridge. There isnt a restaurant even though there is one listed on the website. Daytime staff is friendly and helpful but the night staff can barely power on the computers. Dont bother asking them anything - wait for morning.

We stayed here during my sisters wedding nearby and they accommodated all of us. We were a pretty large group. We also catered breakfast after the wedding the next day and got to enjoy it outside that morning. The food was good quality and staff were very attentive. We had a great stay and they took care of all our needs and most importantly the bride and groom.

This is a decent enough choice for a short stay close to downtown Los Gatos. However, dont expect any frills! We checked in around 6pm, and despite there being no queue, we were not told anything at all about the hotel. My card was charged and room key handed over with wi-fi password. Thats it. No info about breakfast (no idea to this day if we should have had breakfast included), check out time, facilities, etc etc. Really basic and not welcoming at all. They also did not tell us how to exit the hotel on foot, and we ended up walking down the street car ramp the way we drove in. Then the room itself- advertised as a King bed but theres no way it was king size. Not a great night of sleep! The window blinds had seen better days- looked like something had stained or burned them. No hand soap at the sink, a couple of coffee pods and take away cups. No glasses for water. Two small bottles of water in the room fridge such we didnt discover until we were leaving. And to top off a disappointing stay, when we checked out, no-one at the desk so we dropped the room key in the box provided. When we tried to exit the car garage, the sign said you need to use the room key to open the gate! I mean, this is really silly when people leave it at check out. Im not sure Id revisit.

This place is lovely! I stayed here while traveling out of town and, usually, my vacations involve me staying to a place where I can relax in completely luxury and take a load off. This place was perfect for that.I saw a lot of folks here for business, too, so it seems like this is a good place for both business and leisure. There are conference rooms you can reserve with buffet options. Theres an indoor and outdoor gym, laundry, and other amenities that completes your business trip. But theres also a nice outdoor seating area, shops and restaurants within walking distance, and a winery just down the street.

We booked this hotel because we had been to the restaurant before (it was very good), and they had fresh baked cookies out for guests.The restaurant was under construction during our stay, so there were no cookies to be found.The rooms were nice, and we had no issues with our stay, but were bummed the 2 reasons we chose this hotel were gone.The location is great for our staycation in Los Gatos, but without the restaurant and cookies, its a toss up with the other hotels.

I felt like all front staff were brand new and didnt know what was going on.Be aware there are parking fees $10 per night, but no one checks if you have a parking permit or not.They also charge $60 incidental fee - even though my room didnt even have a mini bar.Key cards didnt work twice during my stay.There is currently NO RESTAURANT on-site.The only reason I give this hotel 3 stars and not lower is that the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean.

As part of our wedding dinner party plan, we stayed in the hotel the night of our event; the suit we were offered was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Was great to enjoy a restful stay after our event. We and a group of our guests enjoyed breakfast at the Verge restaurant the next morning, and - like the dinner we had the night before - was great! Happy to say the dishes were all well prepared, and far more creative than one would find a typical “chain hotel restaurant.”

Absolutely loved the place! Set in a adorable location. Friendly and helpful staff. Had a couple issues, but they are minor and wont keep me from coming back.Housekeeping kept knocking on the door early in the morning when I had the do not disturb hanger on the door, which was only annoying because I was exhausted from a 10 hour drive. The beds were a little hard so sleep wasnt the best, but it wont stop me from coming back, well worth it.

We used to love this spot for the super cool rooms and fresh baked cookies. Now they give out Costco cookies in white envelopes and display them as fresh baked. O stars from my son now because of that.We won’t be back since it seems the cheerful room, cleanliness and authentic cookie days are over.It’s a fair hotel in a great location if you want to be off the 17 and in down town for walking to dinner etc.

Awful experience by the management team. We had 30 rooms as part of a wedding. They wouldnt let a single guest check in early so we all had to check in after the wedding, around 9 or 9:30, only to find they only had one front desk person stuck to deal with us. We waited 45 mins to check in. Half of our party had to come back to the front desk because their key card didnt work. Awful planning by the management of the hotel. Oh and then they added that we were going to be charged an additional $10 to park in their garage, even though they have signs in the garage stating that hotel and restaurant guest can park for free. Doubt well ever be back.

I realize its because of Covid, but it didnt mention that on the website. What happened to the Toll House? I wonder if theres been an ownership or management change. My wife and I look forward to spending a few nights in Los Gatos every other year. The Toll House has been our go-to.They used to bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. Last weekend I had to bring the Bell three times to get someone to come to the counter. When she did she made me feel like she was doing me a great service by checking us in. I asked for a bellman to bring our luggage up and she pointed around the corner that we could get a cart. When I went to look for said cart, there were none available. When I inquired again she took a deep breath and said to some guy hey or where are the carts? He stated there was one outside. No offer to help.I found the cart but it looked like someone had either given birth or died on it. I wasnt going to get our luggage anywhere near the disgusting cart.We had requested double Queens and arrived at our room and found a king bed. After calling downstairs without a response, I went downstairs and changed our room to the room next door.Upon entering the bathroom the toilet was dirty as if it had been used. There was lint and hair in the bathtub.After going downstairs and saying the accommodations were not up to our standards they said no problem we didnt have to pay for the room. No apology or anything.We found a nice room at the Los Gatos Lodge. Much more cost-effective with beautiful grounds.

Nice enough place, but when you called to ask if the beds are soft and comfortable and you get a reassuring yes... Dont believe them! This bed was just a kin to sleeping on the floor. Every part of my body is hurting and I ended up sleeping in my vehicle to get a decent few hours sleep. If youre from out of town and dont like hard beds totally avoid this place... Way overpriced because the staff has no clue where anything is! Call to ask for ice... Its someone on the third floor. Where? I dont know. Great service! Just cant find good help nowadays...

They will host weddings in the outdoor interior patio with very loud music until late at night. My bedroom faced the patio and I couldn’t go to sleep because of the music. I can’t believe they are just fine hosting events in front of ~30 bedrooms.Comfortable bed though. Parking is now $10/night and even though is in the garage floor (street level) the gates are always open and your car unprotected. Free Tesla Destination chargers, a few of them which is cool.

The front desk staff need to be re-trained en masse. The check-in process was horribly slow. They did not put my husband on our room reservation even after being asked, so he was locked out of our room for a good portion of the day (I was away at a wedding rehearsal) after his key card became demagnetized.The beds are rock hard, and there are hardly any outlets in the rooms. I get that its an old hotel, but at least provide extension cords with multiple outlets for each side of the bed.The hotel itself is fine. Parts seem in disrepair. The beams around the courtyard seem like theyre about to crumble at any second.Was okay but wouldnt stay again. Nothing special at all.

Probably the worst mattess I’ve ever slept on in a hotel (and I don’t have high standards for them!) - it was like a rock! Additionally the room and hotel overall was very dirty and left a lot to be desired. We had two nights booked and checked out early after we slept so badly. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, sadly. Great location, friendly staff, and nice rooms. The hotel is in a perfect location in downtown los gatos. The lobby and restaurant were recently updated and looked great. The bar was awesome with live music and interesting drinks. Everything in the room was good, but for those who are light sleepers you might hear some road noise from the nearby highway. Also, the balcony and exterior (above the first floor) showed its age, and is in need of a remodel. In terms of value it was a great stay.

This hotel is one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. We are currently here for a wedding and they shut off water on the entire hotel the day of the wedding. Our room has no heat as well and blows cold air out the entire time. The front desk has done nothing to make anything right. My boyfriend works for a property management company and these are conditions his company would put people up in a hotel for. Do yourself a favor and stay away from here.

I booked a block of rooms here for my wedding. The hotel is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly. From booking to check out, every staff member you come in contact with is super nice. Kirsten handled the room block and Lolita managed our large post wedding brunch the next day for our guests. Both were very attentive and we had smooth transactions. Plus, the hotel is a very quick 5 min walk to downtown Los Gatos. Everything you could want is within reach. Would def come here again.

They are in downtown Los Gatos, which is highly walkable. Very cute downtown. The bar on the first floor has great drinks. I didnt eat any of the food though.

Very friendly staff. The nearby food and shopping is fantastic. Its a small thing but I really appreciated that the $10 voucher they give you for food from their restaurant can be used for most anything including a drink or room service. This visit goes back many months ago, but I neglected to write a review at the time. Location-wise, this is in a great spot with a lot to walk to. However, my room was very dated and drab. The carpet was puckering and pulling up off the floor. This would be tolerable -- sometimes its the luck of the draw -- but the front desk person who checked me out in the morning was rude and totally dismissive. She could not have been less interested in being at work that day. There isnt a wealth of hotel options in Los Gatos, but Ill definitely do my best to stay anywhere else whenever Im up there for work.

Restaurant, bar, outside, pool, breakfast all shut down and closed. Noisy floor with pets. Nobody explained how to exit the property until I was stuck waiting and had to call the front desk. I’ve stayed at Tollhouse in the past. The staff was cheery, friendly and informative. I stayed for 6 days in October and my experience not so good. No information given to me on check-in. Nothing! Internet connection was a struggle each day. No outlets at the bedside AFTER a remodel. No answer at the front desk after calling three times at a reasonable hour early evening. This to help me with the internet connection. When I asked for late checkout the front desk host frowned and was very short with me until after I pointed out I had spent 6 nights and stayed at the Hotel multiple times. The best sleeping bed you could have away from home. Delicious food and great service in the Verge restaurant. They need to get rid of the Direct TV because it shuts down 1 to 3 times a day. Service workers are prompt to fix the problem, but its just so annoying. Cleaning staff does a remarkable job. They need to either clean the arms on the chairs in front of the fireplace in Suite 127, or replace the whole thing. When I pay well over $2000.00 for a room I expect perfection.

We have stayed at the Toll House for the past few years and sadly, watched it go downhill. Its a great location because you can walk anywhere in the downtown area, but like many popular hotels, after a while they quit investing in maintenance and try to ride the wave. We have really enjoyed it here in the past, but this is likely our last stay here.The issues we had:-- Confusing room selection. We were immediately upgraded to a premier king but then found there is really no such thing. Im not sure if its just a marketing scam or not.-- The carpet, wall coverings, etc. are all getting dated and need replaced. It doesnt feel much different than nice Best Western or something like that. One of the tiles on the front steps was loose and it was just blocked off rather than being fixed. The repair would have been easy.-- We were there four days and every one of the days had business meetings going on. No problem with that other than most of the common areas are not accessible to hotel guests. They had signs up all week directing hotel guests to detour through the hallways in order to get out the front door because the lobby area was set up for refreshments for the meeting attendees. Additionally, the noise from the bar every night was much louder than it has been in the past. It really felt more like we were sleeping in a small convention center than a hotel.If you can book this for about $150 off season and $200 in the peak, Id still do it but otherwise Id look on down the road.

We had our 50th High School reunion here. We have been planning this for a year, and the Alumni Association uses this venue for most of the reunions. The fact that this hotel does not have a restaurant was a huge problem. They brought food in from an outside source that was disgusting. The menu was not at all cohesive, bland to taste as well as visually.The hotel was unresponsive during the planning stages and it took intervention from the Chamber of Commerce to get a response.I am going to recommend to the Alumni Association that a different venue be sought for future events.

We did so a year in advance pre-COVID, never imagining hitting a pandemic and not being able to fill all of the rooms. Despite the fact that Toll House could have kept us on the hook for our contract, they very kindly and generously canceled our wedding block with no hassle at all, making what was a very stressful rescheduling/cancellation debacle a little bit easier for us. We are incredibly grateful to them for their handling of the situation and this will be our go to hotel anytime we come home to visit our families, and we look forward to our stay there in a couple of weeks. We stayed at the hotel last week (October 25). There was no hot water in the hotel and they did not tell us. Instead, they moved us to another room and said they had checked the water. Our mistake was that we believed them - it was late and we were tired, so we just went straight to bed. The following morning, we tried again and there was no hot water. The manager said it was PG&Es fault because of the power cuts. This was not true as I later found out. Loved this little Hotel! Its nestled in Los Gatos with is one of the most picturesque towns in California. Its not too over the top, but very welcoming and clean. We were also given a goodie bag upon arrival with a bottle of Chardonnay and snacks. Not to mention we had reservations for breakfast at Verge (their in-hotel restaurant) and were able to sit outside in their gorgeous patio. There was never a scenario where something didnt get messed up with our reservation and we had to reconfirm our hotel reservations about 10 times because they kept getting the reservation messed up. Toll House during COVID has gone down hill. They are under new management and have no restaurant vendor, despite having the space for a restaurant. There is wood rot on much of the siding and we experienced someone smoking inside the hotel. The windows are thin so noise from USPS across the street at 4am wakes you up every time depending on your room location. The email link to provide them feedback doesn’t work so we requested a managers email address to communicate our concerns. They did not respond. It isn’t that this place is a 2 star hotel, it’s that their management seem to be ignoring their clientele. It would be nice if management acknowledged the challenges and committed to improving.

Ive got mixed feelings about this hotel. Check-in was easy for me, a colleague waited over an hour to check-in only to get told his room wasnt ready, he wasnt pleased. Ive only ever seen 1-2 people max at the front desk, so I can imagine if you get behind a massive group of people you might be there for awhile.I stayed for 3 nights, Sunday-Tues night. The room was okay, the door doesnt quite seal all the way along the floor, the entrance to my room and my neighbors room was in a separate room (sorry if thats confusing). Essentially, since they were so close it was incredibly loud, and I could hear them talking whenever they were around.The hotel seemed like it used to be nice, theyve updated a lot of things and have failed to update a lot at the same time. The insulation in the room was terrible, it loses heat fast and warms up fast (depending on the outside temperature). You can hear the wind easily from the outside and feel it when you put your hand close to the window.I found a huge spider in my shower, that was disgusting. The faucet in the bathroom sprayed water a few different ways when it was turned on, so I didnt have it on full force to avoid the counter getting wet. I saw some things (like thermostats in the hallway) that looked like they hadnt been replaced since the 90s... or 80s. You have to have a card to get out of the garage (which I was not made aware of) so I was attempting to exit on the last day (had already checked out), and the main gate was closed so I had to use the exit through the garage. I had to physically park, go back up to the lobby, wait in line to ask for a temporary card to get my vehicle out of the garage. Ridiculous.The service was friendly but the hotel just seems kind of archaic and logistically, not super well thought out. I would not stay here again unless I was forced to, I had training next door and it seems there werent a lot of options in the LG area.

We brought our small dog with us and this hotel was quite dog friendly.The provided a waterbowl, big blush dog pillow, and some treats for doggie. We were very happy. Sometimes the pet friendly rooms at other hotels will stink like dog or have dog hair everywhere but we found this one to be quite clean.A highlight was in the evening that you could go down to the front lobby and get fresh baked cookies and milk. I attended a wedding at the Toll House and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. To begin with, there was no shortage of parking, which for a venue in this area is rare. I had never attended a wedding at a hotel and didnt know what to expect. I assumed there was a banquet room or something similar where most of the service would be held, but the hotel literally managed to transform their outdoor courtyard area into both the ceremony and dining area. To the echo effect from noise from the room above, and believe me, all they were doing was walking around.I was actually one of the lucky people that didnt have issues at check in, but it sounded like I was the minorty.If you dont count the rudeness and the unwelcomeness from the management or the constant mess ups from the waiters in the restaurant, the rest of the staff was a shining beacon of hope. THEY WERE GREAT!To be fair, I loved my room, loved the size of the bathroom, and the location is great. But all the small things that matter most they failed on. I left that hotel tired, disappointed, frustrated, and unwelcomed. I will never be back and I will let my friends and family know that they shouldnt ever stay here, but most of them experienced it for themselves already.

Great Hotel, excellent service, nice rooms with private balcony. Parking garage is great. Comfy beds and two different kinds of pillows on each bed (4/bed) so you can pick what you prefer. Negatives, thin walls, we irritated the neighbors at night, they irritated us in the morning. One negative which could easily be fixed, and should be... horrendous coffee, though Ive never had good hotel coffee, this was at the bottom of the bottom of the barrel list (the label said Starbucks, tasted like farmer bros). The Verge restaurant was a little too pricey for the quality, or quantity (not both at the same time mind you, we had more than enough food, just not enough of the right food, in my opinion). The charcuterie plate had 6 small half slices of salami on it and that was it for cured meat which seems unacceptable for a charcuterie plate. Although everything on the plate was good, it wasnt worth it in my opinion. I didnt try the rib eye, but it was lack luster for a friend, the jicama in the brussel sprouts wasnt appetising traditional apples, or craisins though not as original would have been more enjoyable. The short ribs were good and the sauce and veg with was nice. Two people, 3 drinks, two appetizers with tip, $175. It was good, but I cant say it was worth it. Next time I would try somewhere else, and the time after that, and after that.

Jason Bogen is the manager and has assembled an staff second to none. Erica is ahead of keeping the Hotel in pristine condition and respects each room as her own. Too many problems to list, but if you want to know, the beds are very well worn and soft, the bathroom sliding doors do not close all the way in some rooms so there is no privacy, and there is no way to plug in devices on one of the two night stands next to the bed, and bring your own pillows!

My fiancé (now husband) and I got married at Toll House Hotel. As soon as we had the walkthrough with the hotels special events director, Jenn, we knew this would be the place we would get married. The hotel is very quaint, simple, and beautiful. Jenn was great to work with! We corresponded mainly through email and she always got back to us in a timely manner. She also worked with our budget to create a lovely afternoon wedding ceremony and reception for us. Jenn also made sure we had everything we needed in our hotel rooms the night before and the day of (ie. sitting stools for hair and makeup, a steamer, etc.) We had the ceremony at their outdoor courtyard area, and the reception was also at the courtyard area, as well as a ballroom area. The food they provided for the reception was incredible, and the menu was extensive so there was something for everyone! Im so happy that my husband and I were able to eat what we could (one advice that we received from many was to make sure that we ate during the reception!). Overall, we had a wonderful and unforgettable wedding at Toll House Hotel. We would definitely recommend this venue for those looking in the Los Gatos area.

No pool, but free indoor garage. Business center is crazy expensive as well as the built-in restaurant. No breakfast included, but at least near of more than a dozen restaurants. They can bring you a pack and play for baby to sleep. Rooms are not well isolated and if your immediate neighbor (with a door between room) is talking you will hear him. Staffs are very professional and happy to serve. There is an indoor and outdoor gym with some weight and aerobic machines.There is one EV station across the street.

The Toll House is likely the premier hotel in Los Gatos and is very clean but it is a private hotel and doesn’t follow the rules that the big brands chains have in place. This will mean it is difficult for me to describe expectation.It has a nice bar just off the lobby and a small courtyard in the center of the hotel that makes summer visits nice.Los Gatos is also one of the few nice small town centers left. It’s perfect to walk around and the local creek is nearby.Los Gatos is also one of those old wealthy towns so expect to see the Ferrari’s, McClaren’s and multitude of Teslas roaming around.As always, if you found this review useful please remember to like it. Went to my High School reunion at the Toll House. Located right on South Santa Cruz Ave. “or as I like to call it, Winchester” in Los Gatos, it’s easy to find and has plenty of parking “even out on the street”I walked in the lobby and was directed to an enclosure that had an open roof surrounded by walls, has gas fire pits to keep the guest warm in the outside elements and a beautiful water wall on far end of the enclosure.The venue served lots of good finger food like pot stickers, sliders, a cheese plate with Finley sliced prosciutto and olives, chicken skewers and slice crostini bread with salsa on top. Everyone got one drink of your choice after that $4 just for a can of soda.Overall for $100 per person for finger food and a place to talk for 4 hours I felt was way over priced, even if the service was good “and it was”

For the last few years my Grandmother and Mom both demand that we make Mothers Day brunch reservations at Toll House, so I always make them early. Its a great time indeed. Although well-located with wonderful amenities (wine, water, cookies at check-in), we had a fitful night with some sort of whooshing occurring at periodic intervals from about 3 a.m. until we finally gave up and got up at 7. At check-out, I inquired about the noise, explaining that it had prevented a good nights sleep and was told that perhaps it was the hotels furnace system - ?? But the clerk (a distinctly unhelpful older blonde - not half as gracious as the younger brunette clerks from our check-in the day before) only said shed look into it. From a hotel of this caliber, I expected at least an apology, or at most an adjustment to our bill or some consideration for a future visit; unfortunately, neither was forthcoming. Avoid Room 302 and any other rooms in that vicinity!

Upon arrival they charged me a higher rate per night, and the front desk lady didn’t even acknowledge the quote- even when shown. This hotel is nice but I will not stay there again because of the Wi-Fi. Its not really free Wi-Fi, its what I call Spy-Fi. Basically every web site you visit is intercepted and their equipment inserts a banner ad at the top asking you to subscribe to the premium service. What else are they intercepting and monitoring? This is just not cool and I personally am not comfortable using the Internet under such conditions.

Housekeeping knocking on my door every few minutes for a few hours because they didnt get the word that I had extended my stay, but when word filtered down, they didnt service the room.
