In and out in 15 minutes on a walk in. Girl at front counter not interested in idle chitchat. But not really rude. I did not mind she had me in and out in 15 minutes

Have been using TNT SMOG on Joleen Way for years, always super efficient and helpful when something is amiss on a car ( typically because I had a flat battery and the ODBII readiness and drive cycle had not completed, they would suggest running down to Gilroy and back and then slot me back in quickly - awesome! ) .

Phenomenal and very fast service!I called in to make an appointment for a STAR-certified smog check and was told that no appointments are needed - Service is based on walk-ins: first come, first serve.My car was smog-checked the same day I called in, and was done within 20 minutes for a fair and competitive price.I highly recommend this very friendly and speedy business.

Disappointed. Says open at 8:30am. Was there at 8:25 - 9:10 waiting for the place to open. Left at 9:10 due to nobody there.

This place didnt do a bad job. The owner is actually a very nice man. His daughter who runs the office is the most rude %$%$& you could ever imagine. She is awful to deal with. It is known throughout the entire town that she is horrible to deal with. They loose ALOT of business because she is the face of the company. If I wasnt in a bind I would have never used their service. I will pay more next time to take my business somewhere else.

Been a repeat customer for over a decade. Still my go to smog shop. The new smog machine has most people done in ~10 mins. Its best to call ahead to make sure they are open and to check the wait times so you wont be disappointed.

I was able to get smoked quickly. But I was quoted one price on the phone then after the smoking was charged more for a star certified. But thats what I told I needed in the first place.

In Short, don’t go here! The lady at front was unwelcoming, unprofessional and wasn’t happy to help anyone. She might be having a bad day, but she have no clue about customer service. It was my first time here and my last.One positive thing, the person who did the smog check on my vehicle was nice and did it fast.

The little old man running the machine knows his job and is really quick and efficient. The receptionist was a bit bothered I was disrupting her internet surfing and daytime TV, she could have been friendlier. All in all though, it was fast and and not overly expensive. Ill return and recommend them to others.Edit:2 years later, I have now gone back for another smog check. Its now Much More expensive (more than doubled in price) and so much less friendly. Literally horrible customer service! I wont be going back and am sorry I didnt spend a little extra time and effort going across town to another place that has some personality other than disgruntled dislike for your interruption.Do yourself a favor and find another test station.

Great place, walk-in, no line during the several times Ive been here. Takes about 15 minutes. A re-test within 30 days is only $10 if your car fails the first smog, which is nice.

Ive been going here for several years to smog 2 different vehicles. Any time my older car (1995) didnt pass, they didnt charge me full price. I could come back within 30 days to re-smog and pay the balance. Everything was very quick and easy. They take cash, check, and cards.Tip: First come, first served. Its helpful to call ahead to see if theres a long wait. Ive never waited more than 20 minutes to get my smog done.

Very nice people. Office speaks Mandarin and American very well. Star inspection check on Chevy Malibu took 15 min for $60 on a walk in basis just as promised on phone.

Friendly and efficient. Was in and out in 20 mins.For another smog, they quoted me $80 for my diesel car. But I was able to get it for $50 elsewhere.

Super fast and easy place for smogs. Was charged $60 for my 2001 Honda CR-V SUV. They send the information straight to the DMV so there is nothing else to worry about other than just bringing in your car. Spent about 10 minutes in and out of that place!

I had a terrible experience here! We went to have a smog check on a car, I don’t know how the worker managed to do this but he broke the key to my car and suggested I use glue to fix it, onviously it didn’t work. They didn’t even apologize for the event! I had to pay $450 to buy a new key along with the chip. I would suggest you reading all the things they make you sign, they told us to fill in our information and sign in the bottom but they didn’t let us know about the fine print in the bottom of the pages, this may be a problem since they don’t do any work unless you sign.

Expensive but quick, for your Star Smog requirements. I keep going back to this place year after year. Its okay, I guess. I dont have a great feeling about the place. It does seem like they charge a lot for the special STAR smog check. Hopefully with new cars I wont need to visit again for a while.

Try to find a test only station in Gilroy . Went to one and he tells to go down the street he pass you. I went out of my to TNT because I saw good reviews. Got there and the guy tells me has 4 cars ahead of me. I told him no choice. I was suprised, I was done in less than 30 minutes. Great service highly recommended. This is my new smog shop

TNT has taken good care of me for years (15+?) and over a half a dozen cars. Pretty fast and painless, just make sure your CAT is fully up to temp by giving it a good 10 mile high speed run directly before bringing your car in for a smog check (freeway blast down and back to San Martin does it).- I also double-check with my ODB-II reader diagnostic App to make sure there are no surprises. Remember, if you use your ODB-II diagnostic app to clear codes it will also clear your sensor readiness indicators and you will have to do a ODB-II readiness drive cycle to bring all sensors ready or you WILL fail your smog check.
