2024-02-18 04:59:36We love this place! Their amenities are A+ . Everyone here is very helpful and nice. The bathrooms are nice and well kept, including the showers. The pool is heated and maintained. There is mini golf, which was super fun! Not to mention, they also have quite a few weekly activities for all the campers to enjoy. Its definitely a fun place.

2024-05-26 19:42:50This is one of our favorite places to stay. Beautiful trees, birds, water canals. Its close to local commerce but feels like its in the middle of nature. Plenty of sites with full hookups. All flat so its great for riding bikes. If you dont have another vehicle, golf cart, or bikes the furthest sites are pretty far from the lodges. There is a room for billiards, a TV room, a puzzle room, activities center, mini golf course, pickleball, horse shoes, basketball court, baseball field. There are two pools with Jacuzzis. The facility should really resurface the ground around the pools. Its too rough in some areas and too slippery in others. Some bathrooms throughout are new but many are older. Bathrooms by the pools could use some modernization and better air circulation. Sometimes food trucks come on the weekends. Country store is highly marked up on essentials possibly left at home.. Birds can be loud at times but we love it. And we love the variety. Baby goslings recently hatched. Its a home away from home.

2024-05-05 17:36:31Very small and quaint, but an absolute hidden gem. The website didnt even do it justice. Everyone on staff is so nice, along with the regulars around. Very welcoming and friendly. Everything was very clean, and comfy. The river is absolutely beautiful. Will definitely be staying again.

2024-04-01 00:44:11Used the RV area but only for 2 nights. It’s a nice park and would definitely stay again if in the area. We only gave it 4 stars simply because of the Geese feces. I know it’s nature and can’t be helped but had a hard time keeping it from being tracked back into the RV. I did love seeing all the Canadian (?) geese though.

2024-04-04 23:51:51Cons: Unfriendly staff. Poop in the shower stalls. Amenities are not taken care of. Prepare to sweep/clean any that you want to use and bring your own equipment. Rains a lot in the winter and the whole park floods. Hookups are old and dangerous. Getting your propane filled up? Its expensive and you get very unfriendly staff to help you. Theres another place 3 miles away thats way better.Pro: Most of the sites have functioning sewer hookups.

2024-04-02 13:42:56We loved our stay at Wilderness Lakes. The staff was friendly, prompt, and helpful. There were some days where water was turned off because of the nearby construction. We were notified and updated by staff throughout the day.-Cell Service: Verizon service was fine 3-4 bars.- Starlink was fine. Not great. Lots of trees to get in the way. We picked the best spot we could find for Starlink and we still had a few issues.-Bathrooms- Not as clean as we have experienced before. The women’s bathroom had one shower and the other was non-functioning for our entire stay. That was a hassle when trying to shower up kiddos.- The pool was wonderful! Both the hot tub and pool were nice. The pool was not heated for a couple days but once staff was notified, they fixed it right away.- Events- they had a lot of wonderful events and it was great place for our kids to meet other kids. They had a lot of options.-Playground- decent. Things were functional. A bit small for the amount of kids there but in good shape.-Fitness Center- we didn’t use it but we peeked in and it looks nice. I would equate it to a typical hotel fitness center.-Close to town so things are accessible.- Bike friendly area- There is also a little trail/track next door where people walk or ride their bikes with some jumps.-Laundry room was fine. A bit small. The washers were consistently full and a steady flow of people using the machines.- They had food trucks 2-3 nights a week as well.

2024-04-06 01:11:27Our family came and spent 3 nights in April 2024. I was concerned because the last time we were here the place looked like it was abandoned. The weeds were so high and there were a lot of sites that did not have power. Now, we saw a lot of improvements: it seems that they are maintaining the campground. It seems that they are cutting the weeds. The restrooms are cleaned. We love this park and its location. It is in the middle of everything. We were happy to see that there have been noticeable improvements. We hope that the improvements will continue as time goes on.Ruiz Family.

2024-04-29 15:42:02We are disappointed with this thousand trails. At least the accommodations. We are in a cabin and it is in serious need of updating and fixing. The furniture is car clawed and old. The flooring is missing pieces in places. The deck has screws protuding, and this is a wheelchair ramp, because the material is so worn down. The bathroom door is all ate at the bottom. Never seen anything like it. It is just not what I expected. Just worn down and needs to be totally redone. The property itself is somewhat maintained. The back section is all over grown and looks terrible. The part closer to where to enter is more maintained but they need to replace their mower blades because the middle of each row is super high. There are burrs everywhere. I could not walk my dog without getting burrs so we left the property to let him exercise. They dont have a dog park here so that is not an option. Perhaps if it were mowed and spayed for weeds there wouldnt be a many burrs but the entire property is over run by them. Some of the staff are super nice and friendly. Others not so much. So as for staff, it is not or miss.Of you love geese, they are everywhere. It is so nice to see them with their babies etc. There is a canal that runs through the property and that makes the property look very nice, as long as you dont look at the weeds and little grass.....lol.Anyway, I would not want to stay extended here simply because of the burrs and the unwelcoming staff. The price for their cabins is ridiculous considering the shape they are in. We got ours free for a week as a member perk but if I had to pay, I would have checked out and went to a hotel. We wanted to love it here, but it is just not in the cards. We like to walk through the parks and it isnt possible here because it is so over grown with burrs.

2024-05-28 19:34:20Had a great time. Loved the fact that they bring in live music entertainment usually on the weekends and may also host a hotdog or hamburger picnic to feed everyone that attends . Wilderness lakes really does do it right they quite often will have some sort of activity or fun entertainment for all us kids young and old. The park is very considerate of there guest and surrounding community on occasion they bring in different extravagant food trucks at times throughout the week. Only one ☝️ thing I wish is there pools and or hot tubs would stay open longer than 9pm especially during these hot summer days. Unfortunately it happens and without notification the pools and hot tubs were all closed up by 7:30pm this hot memorial weekend that was a real bummer, Otherwise Menifee wilderness lake gets 100% in our book and will definitely will make our way back to wilderness lake and to the community of Menifee for a much desired long visit.

2024-01-02 08:49:58We rented a cabin for two nights while visiting family in the area. I found this Gem via google maps. Our cabin was awsome. There were 5 of us and we were very comfortable. Place was clean, easy to park and unload and the staff were super helpful. I regret we were not able to take advantage of all the cool stuff going on but it looked great. I would recommend the cabins vs staying at a hotel. We saved a bunch of $$$. Brought our own coffee grounds and creamer. There is a coffee pot, microwave, shower was perfect and the beds were very comfortable. Save $, have fun, follow the rules/written instructions and your good to go.
