Park is in excellent shape. Plenty of 50 amp spots. Convenient wash and dryers and full fitness room. Park was in a shaded area. But as many kids activities through the weeks as some parks. Does not offer full hookups. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a great campground just outside the town of Morgan Hill. Great, clean laundry facilities that take credit/debit only. They do not have sewage at the sites so a poop wagon is very handy. There were lots of RV stores nearby, so we went out and got one. Made life a lot easier.

Great for camping if you have a smaller rv, they have a lot of uneven sites that you might find hard to level on. 30A and 50A and water, 2 dump stations are near, main road is paved, heading to the rv sites is gravel and dirt that makes a mess when the wind blows. Watch your dogs, a few people that regularly frequent Morgan Hill have aggressive pitbulls. Large swimming pool.

No T- mobile cvrg/$15 a week internet extremely poor at campsites / free internet at pool & lodge is fair. Lots of mud puddles & mud in RV lots. Bathrooms & showers excellently cleaned & maintained. At lodge: activities well organized by Kari & her team. Missed indoor movie night but heard Mem. Day till Labor Day she offers outdoor movie night with family friendly movies.Interviewed several guests. No one had anything bad to (except internet BYO router with Satellite access. No local TV access. Office & worker bees were top drawer

Honestly, 3 stars is being generous. They get that because there is cell phone reception there as well as the location being nice. Other than that its a fail in almost all respects. Construction going on. Not sure if the gate was removed or broke off somehow. So there isnt one. And it didnt take me long to get tired of hearing music blaring.

The worst park Ive ever visited. Trash everywhere, people on drugs trying to sell them. We were verbally attacked by a staff member. The dog park was so full of poop that we couldnt let our pup in to it. Just an over all horrible experience!

This park has lots of great amenities and it’s kinda charming. The pool and pickle ball court was great! They could add more value by investing in their GYM and maybe invest in a durable Ping-Pong table. Some of the toilets were nicely remodeled and they are also investing in new sites with 50 amps power. Overall the staff are helpful and doing a great job with this facility. You will find lots of “full time” residents and old units in this park.

My family have all been TT members since the 70s. Four generations. Morgan Hill (Uvas Meadows), used to be our absolute favorite due to location, on the wine trail, close to town and great restaurants. Leaving less than 5 stars absolutely makes me sad and frustrated. It has run down deplorably since my grandparents were members. At one time it felt safe, secure and always in great repair. The park is fantastic and has so much potential. I really miss so many conveniences we have seen go away over the years. This trip was our roughest.CHECK-IN/SECURITYOur check-in on 12/21 was disorganized. We had a self check-in packet, no key. No one at the old gate house to direct us. No note at the shack to tell us where to go if there were issues. No security gate, no guard, No cell service on T-Mobile to call anyone. (My Verizon line was dead). We found a maintenance guy who directed us to the office. No key in the office for a cabin we rented. We have been in the same cabin (now Rose) for 4 years. Met the housekeeper at the cabin to get her key.DISORGANIZEDThey called my parents 4 times asking them if we were checking out the next day, even though our reservation was paid for through 12/28 - we had gone into the office and paid in-full for a week stay the day before. Even the sign on the cabin said 12/28. The right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing.CABIN• Coffee pot was broken.• This couch bed NEEDS REPLACEMENT.The pull-out bed sagged so bad you roll to the center and the support bars and wires pop up into sleepers backs and ribs. We ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. The couch is so uncomfortable even when made up as a couch, it says in the middle and has no footrests.• Bring your own hair dryer as one is not provided.• We brought a u-haul trailer with our gifts and to use for bedding and an extra closet space since the cabin is tight with 6 people and were told we had to park it at the office.PLUS SIDEThe cabins are essentially the same as they usually were. Cute 1bdr/1ba with kitchen (bring your own kitchen towels). Living room is small, but accommodates 4 fairly comfortable. No coffee or end tables. We used our coolers for them. Loft is roomy, but 1/2 height. Great for children. Tough for adults.INTERNETInternet has always been really bad. The TV Service in the cabin required us to login on their Jabba which doesnt work at the cabin. We used my Verizon line to stream and hotspot.GROUNDSThe mini golf course was so strewn with leaves it was completely obscured. Many RV sites are broken and unavailable. Things that were under construction 2 years ago are still under construction. We had 2 dogs and found out day 1 the dog park was broken so the dogs were cooped up if we didnt take them somewhere.MEMBERSHIPTo see this beautiful location so terribly taken care of makes us very sad. As members who pay for the amenities with our membership, the misuse of funding this park is deplorable. I can not recommend buying a membership to TT if this is an indicator of where our monies are going.

Nice campground tucked in by Uvas Creek. Large outdoor pool, family lodge, activity center, playground, several restrooms, cabins, laundry, hiking trails, variety of RV sites wirh 50 or 30amp, water and NO sewer on any of them. There are 2 dump stations on property.

The RV park is located in a beautiful area. There is a very large, nice pool area. The furniture in the community center was very old and tattered. There is no internet unless you pay for it daily. Roaming internet seemed to be blocked. I had to travel towards town to get an internet signal so I could make phone calls etc. There was a miniature golf course. However, there were no clubs or golf balls to use. I stayed in a cabin. It was very nice, however the couch (futon) was very hard and uncomfortable to sit on.

All I can say is we left early because our Garmin gps took us down a road with a low branch that took out all 3 of our Air conditioners.Be careful driving here. And if gps takes you on the winding road, DO NOT pull over to let traffic by you.

We utilized the tent camping area near the dog park. The area was well maintained, a portion of the RV section was fenced off for renovations, so it was nice and quiet. No wood fires, but the portable fire pit scratched the smores itch. The pool was a blast for my daughter and lots of other kids. Facilities were all clean and well lit at night.

Great place for camping, tent, RV or rent a cute cabin. Lots to do and very family-friendly. Tennis courts, mini golf and dont forget the pool for those hot days. A place my parents took me and now I take my kiddos.

This thousand trails site has RV, cabin and tent camping. We took our tents. Not quite glamping but there are electric hookups at the tent sites and nice shower/restroom facilities for the tent campers. Also a pool and clubhouse for the kids/teens. We went a couple of miles up the road to the UVAs reservoir for fishing. Also great wineries close by!

Definitely one of the most beautiful parks that Thousand Trails has, it is beautiful and has very fun and beautiful amenities. the only bad thing is that it doesnt have full hookup. Otherwise it is perfect for short seasons, and if you have children they will enjoy it a lot!

We stayed in a cabin for two nights while family camped in a trailer and the canvas tents. Canvas tents and the cabin were such a great size. We are thinking about purchasing a season pass! Great place for family.

I love this resort. It is such a nice place to be. We were here in April for 2 weeks. The beach is about 1 hour away. Cell service was great for Verizon. The pool is awesome, although it was a little chilly still. The staff was awesome, plenty of kid activities planned out during our stay over Easter. So much to do in the area. We will be back again.The only thing missing is sewer hook ups.

Beautiful place to stay - even in the pouring rain. First time my husband and I completely went off the grid, as we had no phone service. It was so nice. I definitely want to go back in the summer time now. The playgrounds, volley ball & basketball courts were in great condition. I need to pick up a couple of golf clubs as there is a small putting green area. The pool is HUGE. We loved seeing the wild turkeys in the morning. Theres an official park cat thats very sweet. The Uva river ran right by our camping site. Its a nice peaceful place to sit & listen to the water flow by. Hopefully by spring or summer next year they will have the other dump site open. The best part is that it was so inexpensive to stay here!!

We have been camping here for years. We love coming here. We love the grounds, the pool, activities and staff are generally nice.There seems to have been some changes since the last time we were there. The one area of camping is supposed to have electricity. When we notified them that it doesnt, was told maintenance would be notified to come fix it, but didnt know when it would happen. When we left, it still wasnt fixed. There was also no activities scheduled on the weekend like there usually are.So, I am hoping that this was a fluke trip.

Hubs and I rented one of their cabins. They were nice and clean and equipped with everything you need. Has a huge pool, pickle ball court which was resurfaced since the last time we were there, childrens play area, family lodge and other amenities. We had to pay for internet, $15/week, terrible connection, still kept getting disconnected. Theres some construction going on also. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice location to San Francisco and other bay area attractions. The campground is very flat area, lots of spots are narrow, there is major repairs and upgrade to restrooms. One whole section is closed for upgrades, all new electric, water, and sewer, under old trees so will be nice for summer of 2023.

They have closed the general store. As a full-time RV person being over 20 miles to nearest store. Lake closed without advance warning. Wash room takes quarters they dont sell quarters there! The staff nor workers keep to 5 miles per hr rule. Think thats why the campers dont go 5 mph. Bathroom needed cleaning & working shower stalls

Good park with larger sites with trees. They are renovating a loop which cuts down on available sites and there is only one dump station in the park. Great location for a park with many state and county parks to explore, Monterey Bay not far. We will be back.

Do not become a member of Thousand Trails!!!!This low review is not based on the facility or location, it is based on the company who runs Thousand Trail Parks.Backstory: Growing up, my family went to Thousand Trail Parks and we loved it. Now as a member of 35 years, members cannot book sites even if there is availability because some sites are saved for non-members who instead of paying an annual fee pay per day. Not a good business practice, unless they are trying to get rid of members.

There are lists of Winery around campsite and most famous garlic producer in Giloy near by.Easy to reach at Monterrey, San Jose and San Francisco.A little bit narrow site however have many choices so it was quite OK .This time I have got support from management side as well that really appreciated.The well-organized lawn was built, so the dogs walk was very good.A trail course was built inside the camping site, and I liked the sound of a small stream flowing down.Cell data is somewhat problematic, so its only about T-Mobile 4G 2to 4 bar, so it takes a long time or gets cut off in the middle.Xfinity - LTE 2-3 bars.So we had joined Java Wi-Fi system that paid one week for 20dollars aroundPer day $5.95 one week $19.95 one month -$30.00.I recommend Java Wi-Fi connection that can use internet even everywhere in camp site.I felt it while staying here for a few days, but there is a problem with the public morality of users.People didnt know if it was damaging to others, so I played a lot of music and saw a cigarette butt in the bathroom and threw away too much toilet paper that made toilet blockage.Its like ruining the beautiful scenery because the high-pressure warts and wires are located a little closer.

We had an extremely relaxing time in a SAFARI TENT. The staff were all EXTREMELY pleasant, cheerful, joking and just Overall THE BEST. The lady cleaning the bathroom when I went to take a shower ask me if I stayed warm the first night. She continued to tell me they were worried about us staying warm because they new the weather was going to be EXTREMELY cold. She told me that is why she put A LOT of extra blankets in the SAFARI TENT. She is an asset to this Thousand Trails as all the employees I came in contact with. A scenic campground that has the feel of being out in the middle of nowhere but is really only a 10 minute drive to town. If you like wine tasting you’ve come to the right RV park. Morgan Hill RV Park is right off the wine trail where over a dozen wineries can be enjoyed.This park offers 50-amp and 30-amp service. Most 50-amp sites are pull through while the 30-amp sites are back in. There are only 5 full hook-up sites that can sought through a waiting list. However during my visit these sites were closed as well as a large section of the 30 amp due to electrical maintenance. There are two dump site areas on the premisesTent campsites can be found along the east side of the park all the way down to the dog run area and also at the north end near the day use area.I found the grounds were very well-kept by extremely pleasant park staff. The pool is extremely large and looked immaculate. The upstairs lodge was tidy but very basic with a fireplace, a few sofas and a dining room table. Complimentary wifi had a good signal. A laundry facility is below the lodge and offers top load and front load washers. Machines are equipped with credit card readers but take a long minute to process. Both the lodge and laundry are handicap accessible.I did find the handicap parking space near the lodge a little confusing. While the space is clearly marked with proper signage there was also other signage identifying the area as a loading and unloading zone. It seemed to inadvertently enable guests to park in the handicap spot while tending to their laundry.

Our first time there the staff is awesome The personal touch added by staff member Brenda made our stay feel as if we were family and at home. The only complaint because I have breathing issues is the dust, I really hope they think about adding more rock so it contains the dust more or even cement for the paths that vehicles travel. The current place in west Sacramento has the rock where the RVs park and cement and speed bumps for the drive throughout. I hope this new manager listens to the customers we payed alot of money for thousands trails they need the upgrade.

Loved my time at the Monterey cabin at Thousand Trails in Morgan Hill. It was a small cute little cabin the sleeps 6 with a bath room and shower. Additionally, pool and beautiful camp grounds make this experience so much more enjoyable. The cabin includes a BBQ, cable TV, full gas stove and oven and large microwave. Very helpful housekeeping on site.

I usually stay at Thousand Trails locations with our RV and dont mind the first come first serve with the sites but we stayed with a tent and I feel like site assignment would produce a more enjoyable outcome for campers. They had several sites to choose from, but with sites being so close some campers took advantage of empty spaces and leaving them dirty along with leaving their extra items scattered everywhere. Other than that the campground seems very well maintained.

Beautiful and quiet park with some staffing issues. We are thousands trails members and have been to 8 of their properties. This is the only one that the ranger station ignores you and makes you enter the code to enter during the station being opened and managed. Every other park either waves or say hi and opens the gate. One night the code wasn’t working so we had to call the number and the person who answered yelled at us for bothering her at 7:20pm. Staff will talk to you just about anything but ask them about doing work and they get offended quickly. Great location not really sure why it has so many empty sites with a big chunk of sites closed. The other 7 properties were basically full, if a spot opened it was filled quickly.

We joined thousand trails for the membership. It cant be beat when ur a full time RVer. U get 14 days on, 7 days off, repeat. Morgan Hill RV park is so/so. They are not even close to say a KOA where you see pride in the park. But again, KOA doesnt have a great membership. in December of 22 California was hit with major rain and wind. We along with everyone eles where evacuated for Morgan Hill RV. Park was flooded. When it came time to go back the store damage our RV. Comedic damage, FEMA begin helping with cost repairs, the manager of Morgan Hill RV said we could not go into the park, our RV was an eye sore. We explained what happened but she could care less. Thumbs up to you lady. Jerk

What an experience. This was our final stop after visiting a half dozen Thousand Trails campgrounds and upon check in were told we needed our trailer insured separately from our vehicle. No other resort has told us that. It was added stress on top of a long travel day. In general, the management seems very particular about how things are run. We enjoyed some miniature golf with the kids although the course needs some more regular maintenance. We were very disappointed that the large signs posted at the pool said open until dusk, but we returned to swim and found they closed at 7 pm regardless of the sun still being up. We explored the hiking trails and enjoyed that walk although it wasnt spectacular. There is a nice play structure for kids and seemingly full activities schedule. On our trip, there was a lot of construction going on so we might be back to visit and see what other upgrades have been done. Aaron from Housekeeping was extremely helpful and cheerful!

Clean, nice, I always have very positive comments given from any visitors. We enjoy the summer weekend concerts and other activities. (The catch-22 is the somewhat scary manager, who you do not want to have to hear from, but who is also responsible for turning this park around from the mess it seems to have been a few years ago.) We really enjoyed staying at this park. Very friendly people and with a very state campsite feel to it. Really enjoyed the outdoors, the creek running through, the deer visiting, the wild turkeys. If you want a paved over RV Park, this isnt for you. But you like the sense of a campsite that still has the sense of a state park in the wilderness, yet right in town, this is a great place to stay. Its a large park mainly water/electric only. There are two dump sites for your convenience or you can opt for the portable container as many do here. There are 5 spaces that have full hookups and if you really want one, keep an eye out for an opening. We did and after a few days found an open spot and moved over. We went there for business, working late at my client, but at the end of the day driving across that bridge and suddenly youre in a place of well preserved nature was very decompressing. The staff would welcome you with welcome home!. Indeed, I felt welcome and will definitely be back.

Its a shame that Thousand Hill hires managers like Kate. Kate seem to take pleasure in talking down to anyone she didnt like how they looked. It didnt matter if you were black, latino or white. If you were a working family, it seemed she hated your guts. Its so disappointing to have managers like that represent TT.The park location is gorgeous!! Youre nestled next to some mountains and has plenty of beautiful trees. The pool is large but is not heated. There is no jacuzzi.Housekeepers are the best Ive ever seen.The old maintenance is an absolute grump. Seriously, if you hate your job, move on!!!One of the biggest disappointments with the park is how many broken sites they have. Its already incredibly difficult to get reservations!! Seriously, TT is selling more memberships than they have sites available. With that said, its imperative each location makes sure to keep their sites working. Its shameless to find nearly two dozen sites broken.And their rec hall is in disarray. They have no furniture. No TV. And a busted pool table they have had for years.Oh, and this park has ONLY 5 sites with sewage!!!! Yikes!! So disappointing.

We made a day trip out to the Morgan Hill RV Resort on Saturday to look around and get a feel for the campground. We were met by a wonderful park employee named Gina who welcomed us and gave us an enthusiastic overview of the park. She told us about the park, the amenities, the activities and encouraged us to look around. She also talked to us about upgrading and all the benefits that would be included. We were really glad to meet her and to explore the campground.The campground was very nice with wide sites and a clean appearance. The amenities looked well cared for and the lodge and pool looked inviting. Once we got home we booked a reservation for this summer. We are looking forward to our stay.

We had a great experience! It was the 1st Thousand Trails RV park. We needed a spot for 3-4 weeks for my hubbys job. Found out the day before, called and they had a spot. We liked that we could pick our own campsite. Campgrounds were well kept. Lots of amenities- pool, hiking trail, dog park, laundry, playground, tennis court, horseshoes, mini golf. Best part - Sycamore Creek vineyards next door. Beautiful area. We ended up buying the Elite Membership - Steve & Heidi were very helpful. It made sense for us since we plan on traveling full time in the Northwest. Will be back!

What a shame. This is a beautiful spot, but the staff ruin it. They enforce the rules with vigor! We got hit coming and going.First off, they WILL check your insurance and registration. Mine is current, but my papers were not. I spent half an hour trying to obtain proof of insurance, using my phone with a non-existence cell signal. Fair enough, my bad. The two ladies at the gate sure could have approached the situation with a lighter touch though. My guess is theyre military trained.On the way out, my 4-year-old daughter had to use the bathroom. We pulled into a little niche past the gate. It had a no parking sign (as opposed to a no stopping sign). My wife waited in the vehicle, engine running, air-conditioning on, while my daughter and I ran to the bathroom. In that five minutes my wife was harassed by unfriendly staff twice. The second harasser made sure she gave me a jab as my daughter and I were hustling back.The apparently systemic militant culture makes it difficult to imagine going back to Thousand Rules. To bad, really. The pools amazing.

The RV sites are spacious with trees and the grounds are nicely kept. But the staff … we were blown away by how rude they were starting at the gate. They immediately chastised us for being in the wrong lane citing some tiny sign behind us that gets very lost in all of the “Get a Thousand trails membership” BS signs running all the down the entrance road. And it never stopped - you ask a question and you get some snarky reply. It was weird and helped with my friends,and my brothers, decisions not to renew their memberships in 2022. Just because you have people trapped in a membership does not mean they have to put up with that sh*t.

We are thousandtrails members and we enjoy getting to know each resort we stay at. Morgan hills is tucked just behind the city. Great weather and most of the sites are large. Easy hookups No sewer on each site, 2 dump stations on each end of resort. No tmobile service... the internet they offer does the job ..

Miss Kitti and I really like this park. It has nice remodeled bathrooms. The housekeeping staff I observed did an excellent job cleaning around me as I finished my shower and dressed. She cleaned the tiled walls and floors! Soap swept then mopped clean! I was very impressed. With this covid, Im comfortable knowing the public bathrooms r kept real clean! The emeneties r closed for our protection, but we can use our own supplies to use them if we want. Im very happy with this park.

I was upset on my first visit which was also my first thousand trails visit to be told, not very tactfully, that I wasnt...cant rember the wording, but basically that my van didnt meet regulations with its dents and cracked windshield. I was.sure my fifth wheel trailer, in reasonable condition but 22 yrs old and older truck wouldnt be allowed either. There was no problem with the truck and RV, and though my health conditions make the walk to the parking lot I have to keep it in inconvenient (and though the windshield has been repaired, its still required, though Im glad to at least have that option) after reading many reviews from the past, and also after speaking with a former employee who told me a little about how much things had improved with new managers since, I am grateful for a clean park, the efforts paid to keeping it up, but also do not think its taken too far as was my initial impression. It had just been a bad day, and my van had seen better days, and get where they are coming from now. Its more about keeping things in good repair in general, and that includes a well-kempt appearance. This is where I will be spending the majority of my time for the next year or longer, and am glad it is a place that I want to be. The clubhouses are nice, clean, comfortable, and though I havent stayed in a cabin yet, they look nice and have been told they are, the gigantic pool is open year round, my kids have enjoyed the activities and playground...its a nice place to be. Even the fall leaves are dealt with. Sewer hook-ups would be nice, but not something I feel I want to take a star for. A dump site and honey wagon, and the other workers have been very kind, friendly, and helpful.

Yearly promises from management to repave/re-gravel. Never happens. Run-down but usable facilities (no frills). Good cell-phone coverage in the park (Verizon & AT&T). Short drive to great places (Food/wine/gas/US-101). Good, not great. Bring extra shoes, mats, brooms, & double check to make sure you havent parked in a premium site. Bummer to find out after the fact. They WILL charge you for your mistake even if all other sites are ankle deep in mud & water.

Morgan Hill is a great RV park but this summer is not the time to come (2022). They are doing massive construction and the bathrooms are shut down, water is often interrupted and there is a lot of construction noise.Wait till 2023 and it should be ready to go and much expanded.

Just trying an annual camping pass if TT is for me.We’re here to have fun and staff told us to removea tarp on top of our tent. Our tent top part was missing and also told to remove the table cover hanging at the side of the canopy. It was use to block the sun. Staff are being nit picky and make me think if I’ll continue to renew. What a way to drive new customers. Will try San Benito next time. Hopefully staff are more friendlier.

Loved staying here! Its a quiet park perfect for relaxing. You can play basketball or tennis on their full sized courts or go for a short hike on a trail behind the community center. I let my dog run around in the dog park, he has a blast while I sit my coffee. I would recommend this place to stay. It is 1.5 hrs from SF and 30 min from SN Jose.

Most of the staff was really rude, would barely speak to us. Its like they see an Hispanic and they think its going to be just like on tv. Whats interesting as I saw a white person and they were just like they were on tv (e.g. American History x, Deliverance). My husband & I both grew up in Morgan Hill & bought a Terry Classic travel trailer two years ago. We really were contemplating becoming members of Thousand Trails because we love the Yosemite one & others that we checked out during our trial membership we got from See Grins when we bought our trailer. The final decision was going to be how we felt about the Morgan Hill location since we grew up there & it is also close to us. We went to check it out & the lady at the counter was so extremely rude to us, very unwelcoming & my husband’s Mom has been a member since he was a child. So we decided not to buy a membership. We went again recently to visit friends that were staying there & again this lady was so rude to us!!! The sign as you enter says all RV’s stay to the right. So at that time we did not have our trailer so we stayed in the left lane. The lady told us VERY rudely that we were in the wrong lane & even though there were NO other cars waiting she made us go in, turn around come back out and get in the right lane (that says RVs only, again no RV in tow). If she had been pleasant & kind about the unclear “rules” that would be different, however she is literally the most unwelcoming person! I would never want my guests to be exposed to that behavior I don’t care how long you have worked for the campground.

I do not recommend this place for Hispanic people who like to spend time with family. I never imagined that they would treat us with so much racism, the only thing we wanted was to have fun with our family and they only gave us an orrible stress by treating us badly for being Hispanic especially Kate the manager and Shane some of the workers, even one of the members who was camping there try to get us in trouble with those in charge of that place, telling lies about our children, children and teenagers putting together a show full of lies pretending that our family were criminals. I had to give this place 4 stars just because the staff were the happiest we have ever seen at a Thousand Trails park. Cudos to the management here! The restrooms are also mostly updated and clean. Full hookups, well they dont have those! The dump station is very convenient but busy. Power seemed sufficient, and the water pressure was good. The roads and sites are all gravel and most sites looked to be fairly level. Also probably the least number of perminant residents at any Thousand Trails we have seen. The pool was closed for the season, to bad, it looked nice. The lodge wasnt much and the wifi was very slow.The town of Morgan Hill is just minutes away, with great food and shopping. The main street stroll at dinner time will really get your taste buds going. If wine tasting is your thing, this is great one right next door and several others very close by. We meet some wonderful fun neighbors here too.Its a stretch to call these places a resort, but if youre looking for a cheap camping spot, clean, thats great for the family this place would be hard to beat. For us it was a great quick stop and we look forward to stopping there again someday.

HORRIBLE people!! I booked this place for 1 night over the phone. We show up after traveling all day exhausted with 2 small children only to be told we can’t stay because of a broken light on our camper?! Where the hell are we supposed to go?! We don’t know this area! Guy told us to try across the street where they have lower standards!! On top of that, the place across the street is only open 2 hours a day so there was no way to check in and no reception until you get back into town. I can’t believe there are people like this who treat others this way. They should be ashamed and anyone who stays at a place that treats people like this should be ashamed for supporting them.

Most ammenities were closed due to off season and covid, but still some rowdy and loud campers at night and no one stopped them.We wish they had a sign at their entrance gate,, like other places do, that warn no tailgating if they had, we wouldnt have had it smash down on us when we went thru with another when coming home after hours. Most barricade sensors will stop and reverse, these dont.We were lucky no one was hurt and little damage done. But now we must pay for it...that MUST happen a lot! As they had a replacement up in minutes.

This is our first visit. Be aware that you have to find your own site. They are very uneven and our trailer is not flat yet after three tries. This is CAMPING using an RV. Very rustic, but lots of activities for kids. Very quiet. No sewer hook ups, but honey wagon available daily for a fee IF you sign up in time. They only take a few reservations a day, so dont wait until the last minute. Sites are EXTREMELY close together. Slides almost touch each other!! Of all the Thousand Trails I have been to with my camping pass, I have to say this is one of my least favorites. The cell reception is pitiful for the carriers we have, so we resort to the lodge wifi. The wifi is very slow and really hard to even get much more than a few texts out.The staff are all really nice and accommodating with every interaction I had.They have a large pool that always looked clean and well kept. The vending machines only work sometimes, and there is no camp store (anymore? It looks like there was one at a point).When I am back in the area, I am likely to stay here again, only because its on our pass and not because we enjoyed it. Your mileage may vary.

We are legacy members. My grandparents had a membership since back in the 70s. It was passed to my parents and I have use because we pay for extra days for my family. Over all I have been camping within Thousand Trails communities for over 40 yrs. I am disappointed with the direction camping here has gone. They have allowed really cruddy trailers to come in on day use passes and long term rentals. It makes it harder for members to get access to the park.During our trip, we accidently hit a branch which knocked off our solar panel and tore our awning arm off our rig. When we bought it 15 yrs ago, it had a dent in the ladder that has NEVER been an issue before. When we arrived at Morgan Hill, we were told we wouldnt be allowed in with the damage to our rig unless we called insurance! We told the lady the ladder was never and issue and is barely an issue. The ladder is securely attached and useable. The awning arm, we were going to have repaired once we returned home to Az since it wasnt worth calling insurance due to the deductible. You could see it was brand new damage. I had duct taped the arm to the rig so it would not swing as we drive down the highway. I was only there for 2 days for my sons graduation. She made me un-duct tape it and try to fix it with their tools and bent screws. I can see if they wanted to note the damage and if I continued multiple visits with the damage noted maybe having an issue, but accidents happen on trips that you cant always fix within timelines during a trip. It was not a horrible disfigured dent, it left a gouge from the arm swinging with the screws.There was zero internet access and we were trying to coordinate our visit with family in the area.The next day I was trying to take a shower to get ready for my sons San Jose State graduation. There 100s of tiny flys in the bathroom and it smelled very septic. I tried to ignore that. As I was finishing my shower and drying off, workers came in leaving the door wide open. It was cold and I was wet and naked and now very uncomfortable. I needed the space in the bathroom to get ready. They proceeded to clean, banging mops and brooms into the stalls and then were getting ready to hose the floors down. I was now dressed and trying to do my hair and make up. One girl realized I didnt look happy and had her supervisor talk to me. I explained I was a paying TT member and trying to use the facilities to get ready for my sons graduation. I told her it was cold and I didnt like the lack of privacy in the bathroom. She apologized and they left closing the door ... then came back every 5 minutes to ask if I was done. I was still in there, so the obvious answer was NO. I was so irritated, I waited for our next campground to take my next shower. Starting to feel we are not getting what we pay for with our membership. We stayed in Palm Springs for 2 nights after this with nicer amenities, private bathrooms and zero hassles for a total of $25.00. Overall cheaper than our Thousand Trails Membership. I may be rethinking renewal.

Going down hill fast since new owners took over. Lots of rules that dont make sense. Hassle to get in past the front gate sometimes. The wife just wanted to go to the pool for a couple hours and todays problem was our registration expired 2 days ago. Have not gotten the new tags in the mail yet. Luckily we live close and came back with another one of our vehicles. (Brand new, no plates yet) This was yet again an issue. The sites do not have sewer but they have a honey wagon, $25, it operates daily, driver is very courteous. There are also 3 dump stations that are in great shape.Kate this parks manager is very friendly and has done alot to improve this resort and it looks like shes not finished, bath/shower and laundry are being remodeled. This place has really shaped up. Feels like its under new management. Employees are new and very professional. Looking around it doesnt feel like a redneck hick RV park anymore. Your RV must be in good working condition and all your paperwork for the RV and personal vehicle must be up-to-date. That rules out a lot of the regulars that used to live here. Well I was hoping to have a different experience!! But I went to check in for my 2 week reservation, and I had just purchased my RV, so the paperwork was still coming in the mail. They said to come back Monday with the paperwork. Ok...So I come back, I think it was Tues., once I got my paperwork, and the lady this day decided that my RV didnt look nice enough. In the rules, its stated that if you have an appointment in the near future to get whatever is wrong repaired, its ok!! I did have appointments to get things fixed, about 2 weeks out. But apparently that wasnt good enough for her.In any case, I drove out there 2x, using a TON of gas because RVs are not known for having good gas milage!! So probably about $60-$80 in gas later, and having bought a membership for Thousand Trails, Im pretty disappointed.If my feelings change, because I try again, Ill update my review... Singularly one of the worst experience I have had in an RV Park. We arrived at check-in time for our 5 day stay with our reservation in hand to be told that there were no spaces available. It was Memorial Day weekend and people were overstaying thier allotted time, $32 a day fine. After less than a hour they were able to squeeze us into a space next to a large trailer, so that wasn’t too bad. When I started hooking up the trailer I noticed a very pronounced smell of sewage but it wasn’t until the next morning that I noticed that our neighbor was dripping some kind of liquid out of his trailer and that was attracting a cloud of black flies which were swarming around. On the way out of the park for our day’s activities I notified the Ranger at the gate about the problem and he assured us that he would walk down and look at it. This went on for the next 4 days of our stay. We were told the Maintenance Man had just went throught the gate, we were told there was no record of our complaint, we were told that they checked with our other neighbors, not close, whether the smell and the flies bothered them and it didn’t. All of this was happening in California during a heatwave over the whole state, with temperatures in the upper 80’s and above. We could not open our windows or relax outside because of this stench and flies. We will never return to this park and could not recommend it to anyone.

We had booked a site online. When we arrived with our purchased that morning vintage 1963 Shasta travel trailer, we were rejected from entering the campground. We were dumbfounded. We had no idea there were standards for camping! The issues the attendant had with our trailer were only cosmetic and not safety related. When asked if there was a safety issue, she could not give a clear reason for rejecting our trailer other than those are the rules and I am just following them. To boot, we had our 1 year old and 3 year with us. We were left with no place to stay on a holiday weekend (Memorial Day). Checked in today for the long weekend and was told that the pool might not be open at all this weekend. I came with my grandchildren what a big disappointment. I am not sure why they waited till the day before the big holiday crowd comes in to try and fix the pool. Not sure what to do now, its suposed to be around 85 degrees here this weekend. One of the biggest and best pools on a West coast Thousand Trails. A lot of camp sites, many with tree coverage. Both family and adult lounge. Although it took three attempts before I could find a site without electrical problems. Make sure you RV is worthly to come here because they do so.e sort of visual inspection prior to allowing you in (wasnt terrible, but odd). Great rv resort over all, huge pool with recreation / community building. Our rv spot one of the few that offer full hookups, lucky for us. However there was a dump station close by and because most spots dont have sewer hookups there was a steady stream of people pulling their rigs or honey wagons up to the dump station all day long until after 10;30 at night. We were treated to fairly frequent wafts of unpleasant smelling air that would drift in the breeze over to our site. No one in our group ate much of a dinner that night as we all lost our appetites.

So here is a reflection of a long time user.My family has had a Thousand Trails membership since the 80’s. Yup, back when there were only 5 digits in your membership (which i still know by heart!). As kids we grew up at the Morgan Hill Thousand Trails. I remember all the staff always being friendly and helpful. We used to look forward to hikes, crafts, and games with the staff members. Needless to say I was excited as all my memories as a kid we could re live again with our grand children!Since Morgan Hill was flooded in the storms, we visited many other parks and decided we would let the Morgan Hill location be our deciding park, both because of my happy memories and because it was only a few miles from us so we would use it often!So after Morgan Hill opened we made an appointment to go “tour” the park and had already talked to the sales rep as we fully intended to purchase after our visit.We visited in my wife’s Challenger (no RV) as we just wanted to do a tour. Everything went bad as soon as we got to the gate. Even having a membership, we felt like we were being questioned by the police as to our intentions. And even though we know that license/registration is in the rules to supply upon request, the negative and forceful attitude with us was totally rude and un called for.Even after our tour we were so upset we just left, and didn’t by in.A few weeks ago we were invited to visit a friend at the park. We have been being courted by TT and thinking about re visiting getting a membership. Maybe our last visit was a fluke....people have bad days. NOPE! Same exact events transpired with a level of rudeness that almost pushed my wire over the edge.If you get a TT membership, don’t do it for the Morgan Hill Park. It’s not like it was in the 80’s and 90’s with happy children running around and friendly staff. Now it is very stale atmosphere, almost like a prison feeling. We have once again skipped on TT. We get far more enjoyment out of our KOA membership.

The camp ground was totally ran down. The picnic tables were rotted, their gameroom was just a pool table with a split in it, and their live in residents smoke pot in the park while shouting racist remarks. At one point I heard a man yell at his 13 year old kid ( assuming his age based off his size) catch the motherf***ing ball you stupid Ni***r Obviously some of these people are using the park as a cheap way to live. Its really unfortunate because the area is beautiful. The security and Maintenance personal were very nice.

I wont go back there again. I booked online for memorial weekend knowing the place will be packed. We have an older RV year 85 and they did not let us in the gate due to some minor cosmetic issues. There is nowhere on their homepage anything stated that that could be an issue. They refused us because a trim light cover was missing. Then they walked around the RV and found all kinds of stuff that dont impact safety or operation of the RV. The gate guard was very stubborn and didnt want me to talk to the manager. He said they have new management now and have a zero tolerance policy. He gave me a print out and it reads something like the staff has the right to refuse any vehicle up their judgment which means whatever staff or mood you find is up to good luck if you have an older RV. We had two small children and two disabled adults whit us and they told us to sleep in a parking lot and maybe find another campground. On memorial weekend! We drove over 100 miles and were here the prior year with the same RV and had no issues. I guess new management is trying to make a point against people that know how to fix RVs and dont take on stupid dept to just show off. I wish the homepage would have said something. Also the guard mentioned that another campground nearby was evacuated ( San Benito) and all the guests are now at Morgan Hill because its also a Thousand Trail chain. See the Hint!? They maybe were overbooked and were happy to find another excuse to refuse us. Im done with thousand trail and encore for the future. They at least gave us the money back. That didnt make up for the gas and my 5 year old boy being very said as we headed back home. He will never forget this day. I hope this post will prevent other people from wasting their time and Money. Especially those that value old stuff and know how to take care off.

No full hookups. Very dusty. 50 amp hookups without any shade or some shade with 30? During 100 degree temperatures without full hookups and poor choice of camping sites. True camping with a large unheated pool.Maybe a good place for weekend camping but no extended stays. Pay $25 per service for a dump run or do it yourself. Too much trouble for vacationers in a larger RV. Factor in added costs and you may as well stay somewhere else.

This little Uvas TT of Morgan Hill is still nice and fun. Its located between the cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill but completely out of the way of all the routine daily grind. Unfortunately due the current pandemic troubles their ultra cool oversized Olympic pool,billiards and rec room, upstairs family lodge and a couple other amenities are closed ☹...Hey did I mention that Uvas creek runs right through the preserve? Also a couple of nice reservoirs (Uvas,Calero, and Chesboro) less than 10min away.😎👍

I reflected on the direction this review would take, honestly for fear of retribution. On Saturday mornings a presentation takes place by people who would like to paint a picture for potential members. Ive been to many. Lets just say the Happy Camper image that is usually portrayed, does not exist here. Many of the Staff were over and beyond nice, experienced, and helpful. We had a great time here. Swimming, tennis, mini golf, movie nights, rock painting, candybar bingo, escape room. The activity director Kandice was so great. Weather was warm. Two things to know are when checking in have insurance ready, they are sticklers, and only two structures on the site other than rv. We had two tents and an EZ up, up. Told by park manager that we had three structures up and that we needed to take down a tent. So I posted the rules that said ok 2 tents. Have fun we did. Pool and shower were clean enough.

For the first time in years they asked us to present the insurance card for our tent trailer (which is classified as a tent on the registration). Its covered under our homeowners insurance as a liability, but we had to prove that. We tried to call our car insurance company to see if we could pay to get it covered for just a month but they said they didnt cover things classified as a tent on registration and ask What idiot wanted you to try an insure a tent trailer when its already covered on your homeowners? So after an hour of back and forth calls we were able to get a copy of our homeowners policy but it didnt specifically say tent trailer so the staff told us that didnt count. So we then continued to spend another hour trying to have our insurance send us a detailed list of whats covered for our liability plan. This definitely wasnt worth the hassle. Weve been to quite a few Thousand Trails and have loved all of them, EXCEPT THIS ONE. Not only was the staff unhelpful through all this, but rude as well. I would never recommend this location to anyone.

We have been to thousand trails rv parks all over the US. This is by far the worse park. No playgrounds,no store,no baseball field, and no adult lodge near pool. These are advertise things they do not have. Next to the highly expensive laundromat is supposed to be a kids zone. You can see in there and there are kids toys. Its locked. When we asked how to get in the key is lost and they dont maintain it. Family lodge is some couches and one tv. There is a pool table no balls or sticks. The pool is the only thing they have. Its very large. Not heated. No spa. No dump sites. Be Careful walking your fur babies. Burs and foxtails every where. Oh I forgot their not maintained tennis court. The staff could careless. Pretty sad place to rock the thousand trails name.

This large beautiful park has recently reopened after being closed for 10 months due to flood damage in 2016. This is a Thousand Trails park. This quiet park is surrounded with wineries. There are newly refurbished hookups with re-leveled roads and parking pads. There is still another $2M in repairs and work to be completed, but the park is very usable at this time. Individual sites have power, 50/ 30 amp and water, and there are a few dump sites on this large picturesque property. Honey pot dump services are also available for hire. There are many recreation options on the site, including a large seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, horseshoe pits, shuffle board, and miniature golf. In addition to the aproximaty 100 RV pads, there are cabins to rent as well as tent sites. There are also bath houses conviently located around the park for showering.This park is less than 30 miles from San Jose and about a 1 hour drive to Santa Cruz, very conviently located for exploring the bay area.

The ranger was rude as he demanded documentation from me upon checkin that was not properly communicated when I had booked the reservation.
