Dr Benderev is great. Explains everything with ease and answers any questions you may have. Procedure is as simple as can be. From time I walked in to lobby to time I left was a total of about 30 min. Keeps you comfortable and best of all painless. In fact I’ve felt little to no discomfort. Worst part is having to lay on the couch and do nothing for 2 days. Dr’s orders so I must listen! Have your favorite movies and shows ready!

Fantastic doctor who takes his time with you and really makes sure youre making the best decision for you.The procedure is obviously something that can be scary for a lot of people but he makes you feel extremely comfortable and talks you through the entire process while its going on.His staff is also friendly and communicative as well and he also follows up with you a couple times after the procedure. You can really tell he cares.I cannot recommend him enough

I have to say, from beginning to end my experience with Dr. Benderev was better than I could have imagined. From making my appointment, to my consult, to my actual appointment, everything was very painless and extremely organized.The procedure itself was maybe 15 min and I’m not kidding when I say that I had zero discomfort during the procedure! The easiest procedure you could ever ask for. I had very mild tightness during the first few days, and I was completely good within a week for sure.I couldn’t recommended him enough or his practice. I was pretty nervous about getting a vasectomy. I assume most guys are, it’s a sensitive area. Dr Benderev put my mind to ease on your initial assessment and I moved forward w the procedure two weeks later. I couldn’t believe it was painless and took 10 minutes. I was in and out within 25 min. Today is day 3 and I feel fine. If you have fear or concerns about doing this, get a consultation. I wish I had done this sooner.

You will not find a more professional or streamlined process. I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with Dr. Benderev. The procedure was painless. Yes you read that right, I said painless. Recovery so far has only mild discomfort but I’m able to carry out my normal routine just two days after. If you’ve been considering this you should most definitely call their office and get scheduled.

It’s been 2 weeks since I had my vasectomy and I couldn’t be happier with the entire process. From the first phone call with staff to the video consultation to the procedure itself, everything was quick and easy.I was nervous but the procedure was quick and simple with virtually no pain, actually no pain only slight discomfort which I guess makes sense since “my boys” had been permanently benched. The procedure took about 4 minutes and I giggled throughout, from the time I walked in to out about 15 minutes. I felt 90% recovered after the first week and now I feel 100%.Dr Benderev was great and I highly - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.I had called and done research on other vasectomy clinics / Urologist in the Orange County Area and that experience was not the best, days to get back to schedule a consult to scary reviews from one of the other “vasectomy clinics”.This is 100% the place to go for Vasectomy!

For men needing a quick rundown of how it went:The procedure took 15 minutes, there was only pain during the initial numbing part, which amounted to a light flick. Walked in at noon, walked out at 12:15 with an ice pack. 2 days of taking it very easy, by day 4 I was pretty much back to normal besides some light soreness.Dr. Benderev is amazingly skilled and quick, we chatted during the entire procedure and after two stories from Dr. Benderev we were finished. It was surreal how fast it went by, my wife did not even have time to research questions in the lobby before we were out the door. Highly recommend!

I definitely recommend Dr. Benderev to any guy out there. My wife was so disappointed when the doctor let her know the procedure involves no needles and also disappointed I had very little pain during my recovery. It was so painless, I felt nothing after the doctor numbed the area. I was honestly a little nervous but the nerves went away quickly. I honestly couldnt be happier that I chose Dr Benderev and his office. I got my vasectomy shortly after 3 of my good buddies, just sort of worked out that way. All three of them used different urologists and had different experiences. It was an easy choice for me after that, especially after looking up Dr Benderev online. From the initial consultation, I knew I chose the right doctor. Im 2 days post surgery at the time Im writing this, and extremely grateful to have absolutely zero pain or discomfort. Not to mention the surgery experience was shockingly easy and pleasant, and the care and support that they showed during and after has been superb. I received a call no more than about 4 hours after from the doctor checking in on me, and a text two days later asking if I had any questions. I cant believe how positive this whole thing has been. I also really enjoyed the conversation I had with Dr Benderev during my surgery, and how informative and helpful he was and receptive to all of my questions. I had my procedure done at Dr Benderev’s Mission Viejo location. The suite number was easy to locate since I had been sent instructions beforehand. I have to admit I was extremely nervous due to poor experiences in medical procedures in the past. Dr Benderev took the time to meet with me before my scheduled appt time to calm my nerves. During the procedure, Dr Benderev explained each step as he went and kept the conversation going to distract me. All in all, the procedure was quick and most importantly, PAINLESS.

The day had finally arrived, 4/6/24, my ‘V’ day. After talking with Jennifer and thinking about it all, we had come to realize we are blessed to have Serena and Huntington and felt it was the least I could do and go and get the vasectomy. Dr. Benderev was exceptional and assured me through the procedure from start to finish. Anticipating needs for anesthetic but getting it as a spray instead really surprised me. Minus my anxiety and the build up to it, I can say from my own experience how easy the process was. If anyone needs a recommendation, Id highly suggest Dr. Benderev. The overall experience was very easy. You do a video conference and learn what’s needed, you come to the office and get admitted almost immediately, you’re done in like 20 mins. Much easier for me than if my wife needed to go through tube tying. Highly recommend this doctor and process.

Dr Benderev is clearly an expert in this field having done thousands of these procedures- maybe tens of thousands (I’m not sure). The procedure was no more than 15 minutes, and even though I got a little light headed (I’m a baby when it comes to this stuff), he was prepared with remedies to keep me comfortable while I waited for my color to return. I’m on day three and I have zero pain or tenderness. I can’t even see where the incision was. I would recommend Dr B to anyone. No brainer. Easy peasy.

Doctor Benderev is great! Made the procedure very seamless are stress free. He seems to be an expert in his field, his level of expertise was very reassuring with helping me know I made the right choice. With a vasectomy I wanted to be sure I was getting the best care possible. I would recommend him to anyone and have already recommended him to friends if they ever decide to get the procedure done. Procedure was around 15 mins, 2 days off my feet and day 3 as I’m writing this review I feel almost back to normal with just very minimal pressure in the groin area remaining.

Chances are if you are reading this you are pretty nervous about the prospects of an upcoming vasectomy. Look no further you’ve found your guy. Dr Benderev is THE BEST at this. Getting a vasectomy definitely didn’t sound like much fun, but I was really surprised how smoothly everything went with Dr. Benderev. I was in and out of the office in under thirty minutes. Throughout the procedure, Dr. Benderev was great at carrying on conversation and explaining the process. It was over before I knew it. Based on conversations with friends who had their vasectomies done at other doctors, I was expecting the recovery to be a bit difficult. My recovery felt incredibly easy compared to what they described. I had some minor aches, but nothing that I would ever describe as painful really. After about a week, I felt almost back to 100%. Dr. Benderev provides aftercare instructions, which are important to follow and I think definitely helped make my recovery so smooth. The no needle/no scalpel method is the way to go. I highly recommend Dr. Benderev!

The procedure itself was quick and relatively painless. Recovery, when following Dr. Benderevs instructions, was exactly as they described and not bad in terms of pain and impact to ones daily activities. The no needle technique utilized by Dr. Benderev is the only way I would recommend going through a vasectomy. I had some apprehension going in, even after talking to some friends who had it (one with Dr. Benderev). The hype in my mind was the worst part. After a flick or two feeling from the local anesthetic, no needle of course, the procedure went as explained by Dr. Benderev. We had a conversation while the procedure was going forward, and he made sure I was comfortable throughout. Before I knew it, the procedure was over, and I was enjoying my capri-sun drink box courtesy of Dr. Benderev on my way out to the waiting room.Ice and Tylenol was all I needed to get through the day. There is some general soreness, almost a tightness feeling, but not anything that caused wincing or cringeworthy reactions. The day after there was a noticeable reduction in the soreness, and two days later, I felt markedly normal. In the following days, just some occasional soreness from standing too long or sitting on the ground with my kids.For such an awkward/apprehensive feeling before the vasectomy, I want to thank Dr. Benderev for making the whole process bearable. I highly recommend him for any guy considering a vasectomy.

Dr. Benderev is an AMAZING doctor! If you are a man that wants a vasectomy and are second guessing yourself -- dont. It was such an easy procedure and had I known how easy and painless it was, I would have visited Dr. Benderev YEARS ago.My pain tolerance is very low and the level of pain is negligable. At worst, its a 3/10 pain level and its literally the local anesthetic spray. I did not feel ANYTHING during the actual procedure itself. I was honestly surprised when he was done as I was having a pleasant conversation with him. If I could give him a 6th star I would. So friendly and professional that the entire thing was over before I had a chance to freak out. The air blasts aren’t fun but they are for sure manageable. Day after I used Tylenol like they said and an edible to knock me out and by day 2 the swelling and soreness was more or less gone. Still taking it very easy for the 7 days but it was SO much easier than I thought it would be.

WOW! Fantastic experience. Walked in to the office very nervous and fearful of the road ahead but Dr. Benderev made those mixed emotions go away quick. He is extremely professional and efficient. The procedure felt like it took 5 minutes. It was painless essentially all the way through. If any couple is debating whether the man or woman should do it- this is your answer! Males should do it 100%. The procedure and recovery is much more tolerable for the men and come on guys- these women have to go through so much during pregnancy (and after) so the least we could do is take 30 minutes out of our lives to get this done! The procedure itself went like this: I walked into the the office, checked in and they gave me Tylenol. I sat down to wait for the doctor and the doctor walked out within 3 minutes. He greeted my wife and I then took me to the room. Got to the room where the doctor walked me through every step of what he was going to do. He cleaned and prepped me and as we were having a conversation, he said “hey you know I’m actually doing the vasectomy as we speak”. Felt like it took 5 minutes with absolutely no pain. And before I realized the doctor shook my hand, I thanked him and his assistant came in and gave me some extra info and answered any other questions or concerns I may have had. All in all we were in and out of the office within 30 minutes. I got home just fine able to walk without any pain at all. I got a personal call from the doctor asking me how I was that afternoon. To be honest, the worst part was having to let my wife drive me back home lol. Highly recommend Dr. Benedrev.

So pleased with how this procedure played out. Dr Benderev and his staff were great. Dr Benderev, talked me through the procedure so I knew what was happening at times, and thankfully distracted me by chatting about march madness and camping. Very professional and put me at ease. Im two days out and very minimal aching nothing ibuprofen cant handle. In fact its harder for me to sit and rest, becuase I feel mostly normal. I cant sing higher praise of Dr Benderev, it was not weird, he gets the sensitive nature of working down there, and got in and out. It was really quite minor the whole thing. Which I was bracing for impact, believe me. Special Thanks to you and your staff Doctor, everyone was great form your scheduler, receptionist, to the nurse at the end. Honestly, I needed to do the vasectomy with 3 boys at home. I looked and searched for who the best doctor would be around my area and I found Dr.BENDEREV. I am glad I did. It’s a 2 appointment process with a virtual appt and then a separate appoint for the procedure. Pretty easy to do online with switching and rearranging appointments. I felt nervous for the procedure but Dr Benderev made it a non event. Procedure was quick and pain was about 5 seconds for the local numbing. Staff are great. And the fact that Dr checks in multiple times after procedure with his personal number should tell you he cares and works hard as a doctor. I’m day 3 post procedure and the pain is 1/10 with only local pain from a small incision. I don’t have to do it again but if I did I would go back to him.

I had the procedure a little over a week ago and all I can say is I should have done it sooner. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Benderev after his procedure, after doing the research and asking around I decided to pull the trigger and drive 3 hours to see the best doctor. Everything about the procedure went amazing and I felt so comfortable talking to him and the staff. The procedure went so well I didnt even need advil the next day. The overall pain and swelling was very minimal and after a week there is no more achey feeling down there.All the nervousness that I was feeling before the procedure was for nothing. I was on the bed for 10 minutes and I walked out of there without a problem. I 100% recommend Dr Benderev for anyone looking to have a vasectomy. Dr. Benderev is amazing. He is so knowledgeable and goes through the entire process with you in a way that is clear and concise, so you are never left wondering what is happening or about to happen. The option for a man to have a vasectomy compared to his partner having their tubes tied is so much safer, not to mention less expensive. The whole procedure took about 20 minutes, and the worst part of the whole thing was the compressed air local anesthetic he uses to numb the area; just like a little flick, but after it kicks in you dont feel anything. There is only one small incision that is made; no actual snipping takes place, as he uses a technology that cauterizes the vas. If you are considering having a vasectomy done, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Benderev.

It’s been a little over a week since my procedure, and I almost forgot I had it done. The entire process was quick, easy, and surprisingly painless. Every interaction I had with Dr. Benderev’s staff was pleasant and easy. They also email and text to remind you of your appointments. Dr. Benderev has great bedside manners and even personally calls and texts to check up on you.First appointment was virtual; very quick, informative, and easy. Then the next appointment is the day of the actual procedure. From the moment I walked into the office to out the door was about 30 minutes (the actual procedure was only about 10-15 minutes). I didn’t even realize the whole procedure was done until Dr. Benderev said “ok, all done!” I asked him “are you sure? That’s it?” A couple sprays here and there, a quick chat, and viola you’re done.Take it easy during post recovery and follow Dr. Benderev’s instructions and you’ll be fine. A bit of advice: ice packs will be your best friend during recovery. Oh, and if you’re still deciding, just go through with it. You’d be done with the procedure by the time you decide. It’s more mental than it is physical pain. Thank you again Dr. Benderev!

A few days ago, I finally got my vasectomy after putting off for a year. I was just as nervous as any guy would be when having surgery on your Crown Jewels. However, Dr. Benderev made this process so easy. He gets right to the procedure while he talks to you about what is going on and other topics to keep your mind off the procedure. The best part about his procedure is that there are no needles, and no stitches. I was done in 20 Mins. I took Tylenol right before the procedure and didn’t need another. There was minimal swelling. I did use an ice pack throughout the following day. Otherwise I’m on day 3 and i feel about 95% back to normal. Just take it slow the first few days and you will be fine. To start, lets say I have more than a little anxiety when it comes to regular medical procedures. When those procedures involve sharp instruments near a very sensitive area, the anxiety increases significantly.However, my experience with Dr Benderev and his team was amazing. They made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. The procedure lasted no more than 15 minutes and was done during what seems like very casual conversation with the doctor. He is so experienced and expert at this process that it is like nothing is even happening.I experienced NO PAIN. Ive read reviews that the (no-needle) numbing process can be likened to a rubber band snap but for me, it wasnt even like that. It was virtually a nothing-burger.After the numbing, there is no sensation other than a little gentle pulling. The, youre done! No stitches, easy-peasy.This has to be one of the easiest procedures I have ever experienced. Much more pleasant than having a cavity filled at the dentist.I followed recovery instructions to the letter and experienced no pain at all. I was thinking the first day of no pain would be followed by a second day of discomfort but it was very very minor.The doctor followed up the second day with a personal phone call to see how I was doing. I mentioned that I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and the pain and discomfort to set in but it hadnt happened.I cannot recommend enough just how easy this procedure was and think all men who are finished with creating little humans should consider this procedure. It is much safer than having the woman undergo a tubal ligation. I had my surgery 3 days ago and I basically feel fine. I drove all the way from Palm Springs and the GPS told me 2 hours. I left early, and of course a car flipped so I hit major traffic. I was almost an hour late and they were totally fine with it and I didnt even lose my place in line. I did the vasectomy procedure on 11/1/23 with Dr. Benderev. The worst part was honestly the moment leading up to the procedure. Once it started, it was surprisingly not painful and took about 10 minutes. Conversation helped it go by quickly and it was done before I knew it. Day 1 I felt a bit tender with some soreness and I mostly watched tv with some ice packs on most of the day. Day 2 I was supposed to lie down a lot but I felt great. I had plans to do a vasectomy for several years already. Back in 2019 during my visit to California from Asia, Dr Benderev’s Google reviews already caught my eye, but I was not able to schedule a procedure during my visit.Since then, I actually had a major hospital in Asia do a vasectomy. The procedure required a decent, if not high, amount of pain tolerance. The operating urologist had trouble locating the tube to cut on one side, thus my particular procedure took close to an hour. (Caveat, they recommended to put my under full anesthesia but I declined). Due to the amount of time they took, manipulating my private parts around to search for the tube to cut, my recovery from soreness took much longer than normal. I felt pain, tenderness and soreness for days. The sutures also rubbed against my inner thighs causing discomfort for weeks. After going through all that, the procedure was not successful and and I was not sterile.Fast forward to 2023, I happen to be back in Orange County, and Dr Benderev just happen to have a last minute opening. Unlike my first procedure where I had to be wheel chaired out and was completely disabled for the rest of the day, the procedure with Dr. Benderev is on the other side of the spectrum. The highest point of discomfort (not pain, but discomfort) was the first anesthesia “shot” that felt like a rubber band snap. From that point forward, the rest of the procedure was, to me, a non event. Dr. Benderev made small talk throughout the procedure and I was done in 15 minutes or so. I walked out of the room on my own after 30 minutes and gingerly walked to my car and was able to drive home (not recommended but I was able to - disclaimer: your experience may vary). I walked out gingerly, probably psychological due to my bad first vasectomy experience, coupled with being told to take it easy.The highest point of discomfort was the first anesthesia “shot” that felt like a rubber band snap - and the lingering discomfort was immediately subdued by anesthesia. The procedure itself was a non-event compared to this first “shot”. I was told I can resume normal activities in two days. Personally, after about 30 hours, I felt about 85-90% already.I hope this review is valuable to those who is seeking a comparison from someone who has actually gone through a “traditional” vasectomy surgery and also Dr. Benderev’s procedure.

Once there, I couldn’t “just have a seat” and wait for him to come out. I had the procedure 3 days ago and it was incredibly easy. A few friends of mine recommended Dr. Benderev after their procedure. I did some research and realized that many people drive multiple hours/fly in specifically for Dr. Benderev, so I should definitely choose him being local.My wife and two toddlers dropped me off at 8:30am and I was back in the car by 9:05am on Friday morning. The procedure was on time, quick, and easy. They have it down to a science, but it was not impersonal. Dr Benderev’s practice is great. It starts with a telemed consult that is informative and straight forward. You receive clear do it yourself instructions to prep for the day. Upon arrival to the office which is clean and well staffed, you are given 2 Tylenol. You then walk into a room where the procedure takes place. Dr Benderev is super friendly, easy going and knows exactly what he is doing. Just follow along, chat with him and before you know it he is done. No one else was in the room. The nurse comes back after your pants are back up and gives you further instructions for home healing and testing. The whole process is done with no pain, whatsoever and only takes 10-15 minutes tops. I would say that it’s easier than getting a cavity filled. Once you get home, you have an excuse to take a break for a couple days. Not even Advil or more Tylenol was needed in my case. For the most part, the whole process of getting a vasectomy with Dr. Benderev was painless (literally and figuratively). The introductory appointment was done online through video conferencing. Dr. Benderev has a great bedside manner. He is very easy to talk to and very approachable. What an easy and reassuring experience with Dr. Benderev! After doing months of research and weighing options we decided a Vasectomy was the right choice for us. Not only is there more potential for complications in a hysterectomy, it’s also way more invasive, not likely reversible, and more expensive (a lot of times insurance doesn’t cover it as well). On top of that, after watching my champion of a wife go through two natural births it was easy for me to step up and “take one for the team”. From the initial consultation to the procedure to the follow-up, every step of the way was absolutely fantastic. Dr. Benderev is not only professional and on the cutting edge (no pun intended), he’s also compassionate and has a natural way of making you feel very much at ease.On the day of the procedure he came out to meet me in the waiting room and on the way into the room where the procedure would take place, we chatted about various topics and the conversation didn’t end until I got back on the elevator to leave. The procedure itself was VERY quick but at no time did I feel as if it was rushed or that Dr. Benderev was being less than thorough. He explained what he was doing step by step without getting into too much medical speak. I didn’t time it but I don’t think it took much longer than 15 minutes.Post-procedure I received very detailed instructions and was even given Dr. Benderev’s personal cell number! There was little to no pain at all (I’d put it at a 0.7 out of 10) for the rest of the day. I just took it easy and followed instructions. I cannot believe how quick and easy the whole process of this vasectomy has been! From the procedure to the healing process and how extremely tiny the incision was (which took me a minute just to find because it was so tiny) I highly recommend this procedure, especially through Dr. Theodore Benderev! I came in on time to my appointment and the receptionist gave me 1000mg Acetamenophen to start. After a few minutes Dr. Benderev personally came out to greet me and brought me to his procedure room. He talked me through the entire procedure which lasted about 10-15 minutes. Beside the 1000mg Tylenol to start and local anesthesia he used during the procedure, I did not need any additional medicine afterward. The incision cite is so small I could barely find it afterward. Saw only a few drops of dried blood on the gauze pad after a day. I drove myself home sitting on the cold pack provided. Rested a day then went back to work the 2nd day after. Except for a slight tenderness if I touch the incision cite, I felt nearly no pain now nor during procedure.

It’s not something that comes up in every day conversation. If you’re considering this procedure, I’m sure just like me, you are somewhat apprehensive. My apprehension lessened on the day of our consultation. Dr. Benderev went into detail about how his technique and experience has led to a much larger success rate than the national average. He went through the possible complications where he compared those numbers to his own which helped me feel much more at ease. He was very down to earth and welcomed questions throughout our conversation. Through his consult, he answered questions I didn’t even know I had. I later found out that’s perfectly normal. Nervous, apprehensive, concerned, all feelings I was having before procedure. After procedure was feeling nothing but relief. Procedure was over in 20 min. Dr. Benderev explained everything and I felt no pain at all. If you’re on the fence about it, just know that Dr. Benderev is the best . I took Tylenol for the pain after anesthetic wore off, I was sore an ached for that afternoon. The next day I did not require anything for pain. I am on day 4 following my procedure and I couldn’t be happier with the way things are going. I was nervous about getting this done but the nerves were all for not. Dr. Benderev was friendly and very communicative. He calmed my fears, let me know that what I felt was normal, and narrated every major step of the procedure as he worked. I thought that there would be an awkward silence but he kept the conversation going the entire time. He asked about me and my life and told me a little about his. One of my biggest fears was about potential pain. I didn’tslight rubber flick when the anesthesia was provided. Other than that, nothing. The recovery has been nice (who doesn’t want two days on the couch?) and painless. I can’t even tell where the incision was made. The process from the beginning was very detailed and calming. Dr. Benderev was extremely attentive and had the surgery done quickly and virtually painlessly. He talked me through the steps and understood any nervousness which he was prepared to deal with. One of the best parts was it was just him in the room to prep and perform the procedure so it’s a bit more private for something like this. I highly recommend Dr. Benderev, I can not imagine a better vasectomy experience. I was very apprehensive pre-op, but in hindsight it was so unwarranted. I am so glad I went here for my vasectomy. It took a total of 15 minutes and it was surprisingly painless. I was surprised because I didn’t even know he was working on it until he said he was finished. Dr. Benderev is the best of the best. I did my research before hand. This guy can handle most situations in office that other doctors might require a hospital procedure for. That all comes from his experience. I’m on day two and pain free. The best experience from a physician, ever. From entry to the waiting room to heading back home was just under an hour. The most important thing for me was to feel the comfort from Dr Benderev’s professional demeanor and very apparent skill level. The procedure itself was done before I knew it and I never felt anything. There was almost no recovery period- really, the immediate incision area and testicles were barely “sore” for about a day afterwards. Great doctor and enjoyed chatting with him. I done some extensive research into him and into this type of vasectomy. For me, I had no pain whatsoever and was able to move around almost immediately. I did ice a lot the first day but beyond that I little to no pain. During the procedure, I did not feel the first cut but I did feel the second cut of the vas tube, which was sort of weird. It was like being pinch very hard. I have had no side effects thus far (been over three months) and I have not had any complications with testing. The ONLY thing I would recommend Doctor Benderev to do is not have you sign another waiver and liability on the operating table. It was essentially the same language that I signed digitally, and I am a fast reader, but I can see how some individuals had issues with this.

Was considering getting a vasectomy and I got a few referrals from friends and did research online. Ended up getting a consultation from Dr. Benderev and immediately felt good about his insights and the unique procedure he uses. There are only a few things in life that I hold* sacred: love for my family, my health & you guessed it, my jewels. Well Dr. Benderev took amazing care of all three. First off, if you go to Dr. Benderev youre getting the best. Dr. Benderev is the first known doctor to use the No-Needle Anesthesia for vasectomies in California -- cant get much better than that. Dr. Benderev was very friendly and informed and walked me through every step of the way. I was in the office for all of 30 minutes -- first the assistant went through all of the paperwork and logistics. The entire time, we chatted about travel plans. The only thing I felt was the application of the local anesthetic, which felt like a lighter prick than a blood draw, lasting for less than a second. I don’t think anyone will say their experience getting a vasectomy was great, back can say that it was better than I had expected it to be.The operation was quick and in more of a clinic setting, so didn’t have that operation feel to it. No need to fear! Initially I was nervous about the procedure...After Dr Benderev explained the process I felt much better but was still concerned. Would it hurt? How would my recovery be? After our short talk, I signed the consent form and was scheduled to come in for the procedure a few weeks later.On the morning of my procedure, we made the slightly shorter 2 1/2 hour drive to his Corona office and got there a bit early. The assistants gave me some Tylenol to take and Dr. Benderev saw me shortly afterward. We went back for the procedure and Dr. Benderevs calm demeanor and tone of voice helped ease my nerves. We chatted casually about work and leisure and he made the whole experience seem very trivial. All in all, the procedure was virtually painless. I had read that the application of the anesthetic was similar to a rubber band snap and I think that is a pretty good comparison. It was more startling than painful. After the anesthetic, I didnt experience much discomfort from any of the rest of the procedure. The whole procedure took only about ten minutes. It was much more pleasant than a trip to the dentist! Once we were finished, I was a bit light-headed, I think mostly from the psychological aspect of it, but Dr. Benderev let me lay back and gave me some juice and crackers to munch on until I felt well enough to leave. They gave me the final paperwork and instructions for recovery as well as the sample cups and orders for the post-vasectomy semen analysis and sent me on my way.On the way home, I put ice on and off in twenty minutes rotations and by that night I was fine to go to sleep with my legs propped up on some pillows. The next few days I continued to ice the area and take Tylenol and then Ibuprofen as instructed on the information they sent me home with. During the whole time, I only experienced a few minor pains that were transient, and a consistent slight discomfort in my lower gut a bit like someone had punched me there. All the pain was completely manageable. The slight discomfort subsided after about the third day. I went back to work by day 5 and did just fine. By a week, I felt almost completely back to normal and by the second week I did feel completely normal. After 8 weeks, I took the semen sample to the lab and they gave me a phone call within a few days with favorable results.Overall, I was extremely impressed with Dr. Benderevs obvious experience, his professional attitude, and his very personable nature. The office staff were extremely helpful, and the entire situation was better than I ever could have imagined. After experiencing all this, I cant believe that any guy would ever think of putting their woman through a tubal ligation when a vasectomy is so much easier, safer, and effective. I highly recommend Dr. Benderev for this procedure.

I cant stress enough how great my experience was with Dr. Benderev. Of course I was really nervous beforehand about the pain and not knowing what to expect, but as soon as I walked into the office and started with the procedure, the Dr was extremely professional, funny, and made me feel at ease. He walked me through every step he was about to do, and did a great job of keeping me calm and making conversation to distract me from what was going on. I want to say, that I was scared that the feeling would be something like me getting pummeled in the jewels, but it wasnt like that at all. The anesthesia process was painless, other than a bit of pressure. The fear and anxiety was not worthy of the actually reality of the procedure. I walked out of there feeling no pain and as if nothing had happened. And the healing process was pain free with a little bit of tylenol. You will naturally feel like taking it easy and treating the area gingerly, but only because you are trying to protect yourself and not because it posed any real or significant pain. Would I do it again, if I had too? 100%. Guys dont make your wife go through major surgery just to tie her tubes, go see Dr. Benderev. Itll take you 15 minutes to get the job done and your recovery is nothing compared to what hers would be. Cant recommend highly enough.

I was very anxious about the vasectomy, but Dr. Benderev was very professional and personable. We ended up talking about cars during the procedure, and it was done very quickly. My recovery was better than I anticipated, I was able to walk out and go back to my office in 2 days with no issues. Would definitely recommend Dr. Benderev to friends.

Starting with the initial consult, thorough, easy, understandable, insightful and relaxing. All questions were answered and I departed making an appointment. The follow up visit to perform the procedure was just as easy. Received a call the day before, was in and out within 45 min. Keep in mind I wasnt going in for a teeth cleaning, slightly nervous, I quickly was at ease, great conversation during and felt absolutely zero pain (or anything close to uncomfortable). Followed the post procedure instructions the day of and absolutely no complications or issues.Trust me when I say I researched experts in the field and there is a reason Dr Benderev is a 5 Star rating.Lastly, if its between the guy getting a vasectomy and his wife / partner having her tubes tied, absolutely positively go the less intrusive, quicker healing, easy recovery V. I was extremely nervous to have my vasectomy done.. Dr Benderev and his staff were very professional.. Dr Benderev himself was amazing at communicating about the procedure while at the same time just having casual conversation to keep me calm and distract me from focusing completely on what was going on.. no regrets and though there was some discomfort, it wasnt anything like I built it up to be.. I had a great experience with Dr. Benderev and his staff. They made the process of having a vasectomy an easy one (and that is no small task I imagine!). The office is nice, the staff is very friendly and Dr. Benderev is great at what he does. He even followed up with me in the days after (on the weekend) multiple times to check on me. While I dont have any direct experience with anyone else (obviously), I cant imagine going anywhere else for this procedure!
