My son attended the Coder school for >1 year. First of all, this is a great place for kids to learn coding skills. Teachers are patient and knowledgeable. They fine-tune material to your kid level. Second, i LOVE how school administrators communicate. Prompt, to the point, and any issues (like last minute session reschedule) are handled without making you feel stressed.Highly recommended!!

My son really enjoys his coding class with Coach Kaila. We loved the small class size (semi-private), the flexibility to be in-person or virtual (when my son’s coach moved and he wanted to continue working with her). The Coder School is great to work with and o would highly recommend them.

Jonathan looks forward to coding school every week. He enjoys learning from Yury, his primary instructor, and has created a few games over the past year. His interest has increased and starting reading coding books at home with continued practice on the computer.

TheCoderSchool at Carmel Mountain Rd has been great to work with. They patiently taught my kid how to code in Java, gave him homework to practice and are now working with him on a few capstone projects. These keep the kids motivated and its more than just coding. Marcel and his team are also great to work with, take feedback well and very responsive when it comes to rescheduling. In a nutshell, you cant go wrong with theCoderSchool, and definitely give them a try.

My 10 year old son has been going to The CoderSchool for about one year now and he absolutely loves it! If it was up to him, he would be there 5 days a week!They have 1:1 or 1:2 coaching, so the program is very flexible and tailored to the kids’ interests. Don’t expect a clear defined program to follow, they will explore whatever the kids are interested in, so they are never bored - and I think that’s a great strategy for kids who are really into coding. Looking at what my son knew about coding a year ago and now, I can definitely see a huge progress - and the most important: he is learning a lot of concepts organically, having fun coding games he is excited about.His coach Gabriel is great with kids, super friendly and patient. Melissa, their coordinator, is also very friendly and is always very responsive and accommodating every time we need to cancel or to reschedule a session. The owner, Marcel, was there for the first class and we frequently see him around, always accessible and open to any feedback.I only have good things to say about The CoderSchool and would recommend to any kid interested in coding.

We had a great experience with theCoderSchool. The groups are very small - my daughter was in a group of two, that allows a teacher to give her an individual attention. She was learning coding by playing. She felt like the coding is super easy. The schedule is also very accommodating- you can pick the time that works well for you. We would love to recommend this school to other families...

My son has been taking classes here for more than a year, and we couldnt be happier! We really love how the lessons and projects are tailored to the students interests. Marcel (the owner) took the time to find the right coach for our son. Coach Gabe is awesome! He is so patient and encouraging! Melissa (the coach coordinator) is super helpful whenever we need to change or make up a session. My son looks forward to going to class every week! Overall a wonderful place and experience!

My son has been going to Coder School for about 2 1/2 years now. He has great sessions with a private instructor who is able to adapt to whatever he wants to learn. They provide a great balance between accommodating and challenging him. He looks forward to his class every week.The organization has been very responsive and supportive with schedule changes, curriculum requests, and the like.If your child is interested in learning computer programming, Id highly recommend Coder School.

My son has been taking the online coding lessons with this school for more than a year since the beginning of the COVID-19 recommended by other parents. My son loves his lessons and his coaches very much!We are so happy that we found this school. The coaches are great, flexible. Marcel is very nice, always available and responds to my inquiries immediately. Its easy to reschedule and Marcel will always give us a makeup lesson if we missed one. All in all its great, I highly recommend!

My son has been with them for more than 6 months. He loves coding with them! You will expect your kids to stick with one coach to develop the chemistry (unless you reschedule, even that, they will try to help you to reschedule to the same coach). My sons coach is Joseph, and hes done a great job in cultivating my sons skills. He challenged and helped my son to help him to stay really excited and engaged. Joseph is very careful with the level of difficulty/challenge with different ages of kids, so that the codes complexity is just right for my son. The owner Marcel has been also very nice and accommodating. He is very open to feedback and try his best to make this school a success for everyone, including our kid. I can see that my son will stay with them for quite a while as long as he loves coding. Thank you!

My son has been taking weekly coding lessons for nearly a year now and it has been a great experience. Coach Alex is excellent and always provides a challenging but enjoyable session. The school is very organized, and Marcel is very responsive and helpful whenever we need to make a change to the schedule. My son looks forward to going to class every week.

My son Shane has been attending Coder School at Rancho Peñasquitos location for the past 8 months and he has been thoroughly enjoying the experience. Marcel and Melissa are very responsive to any inquiries and overall the place is very well run. The location is very clean and inviting and the teachers Shane has interacted with were all very friendly. If your child has interest in coding or analytical thinking, I would definitely recommend Coder School at PQ as a place for their learning.

The BEST coder school in San Diego! No need to look anywhere else. We did our research and THIS is the coder school to attend! The director and educators are top notch! They are supportive, knowledgeable, patient, and they tap into my childs creative part of his brain! They provide a great mentorship program! In this technology driven society, they are building little innovators of the world by having the students use critical thinking, logical thinking, and problem solving skills!I love that this coder school is STEM driven! My little prodigy in the making gets to create stories, games, and animations! His coach tracks his progress and sends us a personalized session note after each session, which my husband and I love!Further, theres so much flexibility! When we signed our son up, they allowed us to pick a date and time that works with our busy schedule. My son always looks forward to coding school!

My 12 year old son started a year ago (during the pandemic) and since he liked it so much he begged to have classes twice a week! I am amazed at what he has learned in a short period of time, and his quest for learning other “coding languages” is welcoming. Marcel, the owner is always available for any queries you may have, and is very flexible in terms of scheduling.Carter, my son’s teacher developed a good rapport with my boy, and has also served as an excellent role model. I am grateful that we have the opportunity to provide our son with the“language of the future - coding,” made possible by The Coder School - North San Diego.

My son is 10 years old and goes to The Coder School since it opened. He is always excited about the classes and always want to stay more. He is now learning Python and the instructors are awesome, most Computer Science grads. The Coach personalize the classes for my son as the ratio is only 2 kids to 1 coach and I love the weekly notes after the classes. They have fairs and competitions that makes even more exciting for the kids. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with this coding school. There are few Coder School of SD at different locations, but this place is special because of Marcel (owner) and the staffs he chooses to work with him. He cares and he seems to pick only the best and match your kids.Since day 1, the kids have been very comfortable and happy with him. He is really easy to talk to, to work with, he cares, and he listens.My kids have been taking his classes and they have had about 2 or 3 other instructors, and they really have no complaint. I know they are learning what they need to learn with Coding and are progressing each week.I have had a couple of emergencies and cancellations, family getting sick, etc. Marcel had always made it easy to cancel and reschedule, it makes a whole lot of difference to be comfortable calling or texting him.

Both of our teenage sons have had a great experience with The Coder School! Weve been clients of theirs for several years, and they are phenomenal. Our boys can be a bit difficult to motivate sometimes, but Carter is a great coach, meets them where they are, and they really look forward to their classes with him. Totally recommend Coder School!

My son has been enrolled in CoderSchool for several years now and his knowledge of coding has grown extensively. The one on one coaching is individualized so the content and extent is based solely on the student. Most of the coaches are college students and beyond with extensive knowledge of coding. The owner Marcel is wonderful. He is very helpful, enthusiastic and accommodating. He seeks out input in order to have the best fit of student and coach. My son attended Coder School for most of his Elementary school years. Fleuncy in computer languages, like foreign languages, develops rapidly at these developmental ages. Marcel and his team are amazing. Students develop at a pace appropriate to their skill development. Complex concepts are built on top of basic ones. We started with Scratch and built our way to Python and HTML/CSS. These are literaly languages and tools used by professional software developers. With these skills, my son will now be able to excel at his school computer courses and have a headstart on technology in college if he chooses. Even more important, the foundation in coding provides a broader strength in analytics and critical thinking. There are so many benefits to this! I recommend this particular school because of Marcel, the coaching style, and the curriculum. Excellent!

I was a student at this location for nearly four years. For a full 3.5 years of that I was with the same coach and had a fantastic experience. I went from a complete beginner to being able to volunteer teach at The Coder School’s summer camps. The care and depth of my coding education was phenomenal and, had I been somewhere else, I am not sure I would’ve fallen in love with programing as much as I have. Thank you Coder School!

Our son has learned a tremendous amount through The Coder School over the past 2.5 years. He is a sophomore in High School now and has a great command of coding. It’s been a couple of years that my son is taking coding classes in the coder school.He has the same teacher and it was much better for him to evolve with her. He started with 7-8 years and has moved from basic block codes at scratch to some python/html/CSS now. The place is very well structured but during the pandemic we’ve had all classes virtual with no interruptions or Problem. He really enjoy his Saturday’s morning as it’s the coding class day. I’m convinced that this school, the teacher and the director Marcel, their didactics, the methodology, the patience was key to his incredible performance.Today he was recognized by the school director as a “technology expert” always keen to help his friends and teacher with all computer matter and I’m proud to have done this choice. We have done an in-person camp summer of ‘19 and also a zoom camp during lockdown. Both times my kids had such a great time while learning a lot! My kids found the staff to be really nice and helpful. Some of the content was challenging especially at first for my younger child but the instructor was really patient and offered a lot of extra help. I highly recommend this Coder School run by Renata and Marcel.
