My son recently attended a Python and Web Development camp at this code school, and it was absolutely fantastic! The instructor and couches were exceptional, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. The camp was not only fun but also packed with valuable knowledge and skills.Throughout the program, my son learned how to code various projects, which sparked his interest and enthusiasm for programming. The combination of hands-on activities and expert guidance made the learning process enjoyable and effective. The after-session notes provided by the school were a great tool for tracking each students progress.I highly recommend this code school to anyone looking to provide their child with a top-notch coding education. Coder School helped my son develop Python coding skills. He attends in person sessions, and we can see his face brighten up with a sense of achievement after each session. He really enjoys each and every session. The way Coder School sends feedback at the end of each session gives us a preview of the whole class and where he is in the learning journey. It lets us envision how many more skills are needed. I would definitely recommend Coder School to anyone who wants to instill coding skills at an early age and where the kid can also enjoy the learning process.

My son has been coming here for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it! He started with the summer camp which was a great way to introduce coding to him and get him excited. He is always late coming out from class because he enjoys playing with the games he creates so much that he doesn’t want to leave! The coaches and staff are excellent. Mark is so accommodating to families and he provides a very safe and fun environment for the kids. I highly recommend this school!!

My son attended Scratch classes at The Coder School several years ago when we lived in Irvine. After moving out of the country, he had to discontinue classes. When I inquired about online Python classes, Mark generously provided a free trial. My son thoroughly enjoyed the class and was eventually paired with a tutor. I am delighted that The Coder School offers excellent online courses, allowing my son to continue his coding journey.

We took the group class for a few months. My son was almost 7 and it was going well for the first few months but then it was challenging because of the age gap with the group sessions. The 7 year olds and 8, 9 year olds were at a much different learning level. We decided to switch to the 2 on 1 sessions and my son likes it a lot more. It’s much more tailored to his level and more engaging for him to learn. We recommend the coder school if your child is interested in learning about coding.

It’s been a positive experience for my daughter being in the coding class with Mark. He is very engaging which makes the class fun while teaching challenging lessons. Had an excellent meeting with Mark this week. His depth of experience and knowledge was immediately apparent from the beginning of our meeting. Mark employs a detailed approach, ensuring I understood every step of the process. The coding exercise we started with covered a ton of Material in a digestible way for somebody with limited experience like me. because it was both interactive and inter enjoyable, I felt engaged the entire time and his answers to my clarification questions On the differences between a function and a method precisely answered and resolved the specific subtle differences Such as the differentiating between a function and a method. I Gained a lot from the hour as he was extremely well prepared for the meeting and was flexible when I would ask questions with popped up toggling between questions and answers and leading the lesson plan.I participated in a free trial coding lesson with him, and he was incredibly accommodating to my schedule, even arranging a meeting for The same day I requested. Given his manager responsibilities across multiple locations, I am sure you had to make time to meet With me, Which was greatly appreciated and impressive. Mark not only conveyed the material effectively but also engaged me with thoughtful questions, enhancing my learning experience.His strategic and well-thought-out approach is designed for students to truly comprehend the lessons. Impressively, I found myself recalling his instructions days after our meeting. While I have not interacted with his coaches, I can attest to the quality of his teaching and the coding school methodology in general. We used an interactive tool that allowed him to draw directly on the online IDE he shared with me. This tool was new to me and I found it very engaging.Mark taught me deep concepts that were appropriate for my limited coding experience, significantly enhancing my understanding. For example, he filled in the gaps of knowledge I personally wasn’t clear about, for iterative for-loops, if statements, and their respective syntax. As someone who values attention to detail, especially in the logical structure of syntax and the nuances of programming concepts like functions and methods, Mark I delivered precise answers which could only be answered by an experienced professional.Despite being an adult and knowing that the school primarily focuses on teaching children to code, I decided to reach out. I am constantly seeking to upskill and was looking for an expert who could help me learn to code effectively, efficiently, and comprehensively. Mark delivered on all areas, and he clarified my goals and tailored the lesson plan to my specific needs.I highly recommend him for his straightforward approach and extensive knowledge of python and how to teach it to someone from scratch. I look forward to continuing my learning journey with Mark, as spending the one hour with him greatly improved my knowledge of python and its capabilities, growing my knowledge of the programming language and how to use it with formal instruction. I highly recommend spending one hour of your time for the free trial, as I gained so much in that short period of time. It would be beneficial for adults and parents who want the confidence their kids are receiving the benefits learning programming, as giving instructions to a computer which can crunch numbers, do advanced scientific calculations, is an immensively valuable skill as we forecast the data-driven and generative AI breakthroughs we are seeing today. Alexander Andrew Afficial (Mr. Triple A), really helped me improve my python code. I needed to figure out how to code a PID for an automatous rover to pick up a can. It really impressed me with how smooth the rover was able to track the line and find the cup using the Pixy2. He coded an example for me and walked me through it step by step. I would recommend everyone to consult Mr. Triple A for anything coding related. He is one of the most knowledgeable coders I know, not only impressing me on the computer, but with his professionalism and kindness.

My son has been taking virtual lesson with theCoder school for a year. He really enjoys it and has learned a lot. They are also very detailed in sending after class note every week to let us know what has he learned. He needs to learn C++ for school so we told the Coder School and they helped find the right coach for him in a short time. They are also very responsive whenever we have questions or schedule conflicts. We are very happy with it!

The Coder School has been super helpful and accommodating for our son who wanted to start learning computer coding. Their staff is incredibly friendly and understanding when we had issues with sickness and our son wanted to transfer from in person learning to online zoom learning. My daughter has been working with The Coder School - Irvine for over a year and absolutely loves. it. Shes learned more than we ever imagined and most importantly, she enjoys it immensely. Shes never once asked if she can skip a lesson. Shes worked with several different instructors and all have been great to work with. They communicate effectively with both our daughter and with us in the format weekly progress reports and respond to any questions we might have quickly and effectively. Best place to send your kids for coding!! My kids love coming here and they always look forward to their classes. The coaches are exceptional and I love that they always summarize what they learn after each lesson and communicate this with the parents via e-mail. Jacinthe and Tasha are amazing at rescheduling lessons due to illness, vacation, or other activities; theyre also really good at pairing students to the right coach, as well. We were referred to this school through friends and took a trial lesson with the owner, Mark. It was a no brainer to sign up both kids to learn coding at this school. They are super organized and accommodating; have a clean and cozy facility; and, the coaches make the lessons fun and the kids learn a lot during every lesson. The Coder School was the first formal coding experience that my 11 year old son had. His coach, Tommy, made the experience fun and interesting for him. Mark’s team at the Coder School was professional, always being on schedule and on time, and always giving advance notice and having a substitute coach available when coach Tommy wasn’t available. You’re gonna love it because your kiddo is gonna LOVE it! It has now been 1 year since we have taken consistent weekly classes. Coder classes are still my young child’s favorite class!!! Let’s be honest…this is an investment luxury class. In today’s economy we have to make every penny count and sometimes I think uhhh do we really want to spend the money on this one class? But the answer is always a resounding yes. I wish I had more money to spend on these classes because I truly believe learning to code early will open doors for children in the future. I don’t force my child to take coding classes. It’s more like she forces me to let her have these classes because of how much she loves them. I have two girls that have been attending the Coder School for over a year now. They love this school and their coaches. They had previous coding experience, using Python, so it was important for me to find a place that can pick up where they left off. My husband and I are very impressed at how clean and organized this academy is. The level of instruction is top notch; it is challenging yet very fun and easy for my children to follow. We are implants from Silicon Valley so it is very important to us that our children learn to code, problem solve, and think logically. This school meets all of our exceptions and we are very happy.

This is a great place to introduce coding to your little one. We started a few months ago, unsure if it would be the right place for our 7 year old or if he would take to coding. But we couldnt be happier with the thoughtful staff, fun activities, and the happy voices of all the kids during pickup time. My son is absolutely elated with his classes and it inspired him to focus on his reading comprehension so that he could be a more effective coder.

My son has been coming to this school for months now after our previous school closed. He loves it here more than the other school. This school caters to what you need in terms of coding. They match you with the right teacher and the student/instructor ratio is small. The owner is very approachable as well and he never missed getting back to you with all your concerns. Mark is the man in charge at the Culver branch. He is very professional and like the way that he helps parents/students. Hired students from UCI teaching young children how to code, but sometimes doesn’t take the time to spend 10 minutes at the end of class to review and ensure if those children understand or not.. Overall, just my honest feedback of what I see weekly and I encourage more parents should send their kids to learn codings at this Culver branch.
