Beach front eatery, with a somewhat view. I had the gulf shrimp tacos, they were delicious. They were coupled with a lucky duck pint(beer). I give it a 7/10 which is good. Negatives: the intense smell of cannabis, but hey it’s California. My biggest issue was the payment method, didn’t see an option for cash and AUTOMATICALLY it requires a 18% tip REGARDLESS, I don’t mind tipping but to who does it go to? The person who sat me? Or the person who brought me my food who never came back to see if I wanted anything else or to see if I was satisfied. Poor automated system that doesn’t require a server to earn their Tip. $45.00 for 3 tacos with two shrimp and a beer. Over priced and over tipped. Won’t be back. Good day sir

Great location and view of the beach/sunset. My company did an event here, so I can only comment on the food that they catered. The buffet food was just okay, the chicken was fairly dry, but the shrimp was decent. The taco stand was delicious, and the line to get the tacos was very long.The servers that served hors doeuvres and cleaned the plates were very kind and unobtrusive. I loved the upbeat atmosphere as well.

5 stars! We didnt expect much because of the location (on the boardwalk in Venice Beach), and then it was a little strange that we didnt get a human server. We had to order through a QR code (which required email, phone, a secret pin code, and all sprts of hoops to jump through), but real people brought our drinks and food. I had the ceviche (tuna), and my wife had the shrimp tacos. The ceviche and the shrimp tacos were amazing! The kids got chicken & cheese quesidillas, and they were above average, but not the best. But the 2 items we loved were like a 10 out of 5, and it makes up for the weird server order thing. So, 5 stars all the way. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and the vibe here is so relaxing. Great date night restaurant. There is a large area in the back for friends to gather and enjoy the atmosphere. Our server was Rachel B and she was great. There is music playing in the background in the restaurant. We came for brunch and there was bottom mimosas being served. We opted out the brunch menu and bottom mimosas and went for the regular menu. I had the shrimp tacos. There are three tacos 🌮 seasoned without being salty. I ordered the costal margarita which was mix to perfection. The breakfast burrito is large and stuff full of chucks of chicken, avocado🥑, Cheese, and eggs. This restaurant has a non gender bathroom. This is a trendy crowd restaurant. This is on the boardwalk, so make a reservation is advised. This is a very busy and popular restaurant. There is public parking. Parking at the beach, there is a fee.

A very cool little spot. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. They take reservations and walk-ins. They have 2 portable bathrooms in the back near lawn games for adults, like ping pong and corn hole. There are 2 bars, and various rooms of seating. We had a 2 top right by the walkway with a view of the ocean. You order via QR code on your table, and the ticket is sent straight to the kitchen. They have a small menu but all the options are very good quality. Pricing is normal for a tourist beach restaurant. We had chips and guacamole to share, shrimp tacos and clam pasta. The food was amazing! Overall, we were very happy with our experience, food, view, and service (casual yet welcoming and gracious).

The entire staff from top to bottom should be sent to a customer service training class. Go for the memories, the vibe, the food and the atmosphere. We stumbled along this place for a quick stop for a beverage and ended up staying much longer. Its one of those places that make you feel like a summer getaway party that is family friendly, and leaves a lasting impression. The food is great for the quick bites, or have a sharable platter of oysters. This was my 2nd time trying them (first time the video was viral) and I am glad I did this move here. I may actually have them a 3rd times charm. Everything comes as a lovely package. The frozen rose is refreshing, and addictive, was my first time trying a drink like this. I loved every moment spent.

Lightning fast service. Fastest in my life. By the time the waitress took my drink order they were already coming out. I visited The Waterfront Venice on a Saturday and had a decent experience with their à la carte menu. The service was just alright, nothing exceptional, but I would still recommend making a reservation beforehand as the restaurant can get quite busy. We opted for outdoor seating, which was pleasant, but I would suggest sitting inside if possible.The menu at The Waterfront Venice offers a wide variety of dishes, with something for everyone. I tried the shrimp tacos, which were fresh and delicious, as well as the avocado toast and truffle fries, which were simply amazing.Overall, The Waterfront Venice is a decent spot for a casual meal with friends or family. While I didnt try their buffet, the à la carte options were tasty and reasonably priced. The restaurants location by the beach adds to the ambiance, and its a great place to stop by for a meal while exploring the area.

It’s a great location right on Venice beach with ocean views. We did a work happy hour in the beer garden and had a nice time. The drinks, location, and atmosphere were the best part. The food lacks authentic flavors and the bathrooms were trailer bathrooms and not well taken care of unfortunately. Overall we still had a nice time but could have been better.

The food was just ok and the server was trying his best, but they had way too few servers for how busy they were.We were warned when we were seated that we only had 90 minutes which is fine since it was part of the reservation, but felt intrusive and our food didn’t even come out for 90 minutes.I also wouldn’t recommend getting bottomless. It was kind of scam since we could only get 3 total drinks in very small cups in the 2 hours we were there. Had I known that, I’d have just gotten one drink.Then to top it all off, the bill was wrong. It just wasn’t a good experience.

Our table service with the server Andrea was top notch, and I definitely recommend making a reservation through the Resy app a few days in advance of when you’d like to go so that you can have table. If you walk up without a reservation, you might end up standing in one of their multiple bar areas - regardless, I recommend sunscreen because it is a combo of indoor and outdoor.You’re paying for the location, and prices reflect the prime beachfront location, hence the name The Waterfront. It’s a great place to meet people if you’re in your twenties and it has a fun party vibe, especially on a sunny day.A few brunch items I recommend sharing include:🦪 West coast oysters ($32/dozen) with mignonette and lemon.🌮 Grilled shrimp tacos ($22, served 3 per plate) with cabbage slaw, avocado, and pico. The tacos typically come with chipotle crema and queso fresco, but they can leave these off if you’re lactose intolerant.🐟 Hamachi crudo ($20) in passionfruit ponzo dressing with sundried orange & Serrano pepper.🐠 Ahi tuna crudo ($20) in yuzu mustard dressing, topped with crispy shallots.Personally, next time I’ll skip on the chips & guac with charred sweet corn ($15) and order more of the crudo! TERRIBLE! The sever was not nice. He seemed like not wanting to work. When I asked him about food, he answered very shortly. Didn’t ask if we had an allergy or anything we can’t eat. He said nothing after I said thank you at the end maybe because I tipped him 18%. He even got more than what he deserved but he wasn’t happy. Food was okay but I will not come back for sure.+ This restaurant charges surcharge and asks “additional tip”. They are out of mind. Before you ask more money for guests, train your staff properly.

Cute as a button little restaurant on the boardwalk in Venice. From the storefront you cant tell what a large seating area they have. In addition, they have an back patio area with a bar that wasnt open when we went but I imagine is quite cozy and fun. They offer local brews and great happy hour specials. Do yourself a favor and get the avocado toast. It is a generous portion that could be split for a quick, delicious bite. The heirloom tomatoes really pack a flavorful punch and set it apart from others. Highly recommend to take a breather from the Venice Beach crowd!

At first glance it seems to be an upscale classy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful view of the ocean. However once inside past an ill mannered host/security guard you’ll find nothing but an unorganized mess. After walking around multiple times with the host trying to find a spot to sit we finally get placed near the bar. After being told our waiter would be with us shortly after 15min we finally decide to go up to the bartender and he said we could order there. We ended up getting our food cold. I think I’ve finally found the worst place in Venice. I’d rather go hangout with some homeless people. At least they can chill.

Why did you change your Nachos recipe? The new recipe isn’t balanced. There are no fresh ingredients like tomatoes to cut the salt and spice. The black beans were so much better than the pinto beans. Great spot just off the beach. The front patio and inside where quite loud and busy in the best way possible (fun atmosphere). We were there on a saturday, so maybe during the week may not be as busy. We were seated on the back patio which was a lot more chill and not to loud at all. All the staff were very laid back and prompt. And the food was delicious! I Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

I really like this place a lot. I live about a block away from this place. I wish it was a little less expensive or more casual as far as food. Needless to say, four of us went out for brunch and we were able to keep the bill under $450 before tip, well within budget for the 1 and 1/2 hour time limit brunch.Oh and be sure to make a reservation otherwise theres no chance you get a taste of this 1% life! So.. it was ok. I remember On the Waterfront before, and they definitely improved it as far as cleanliness, and didnt raise the prices like I thought. But the breakfast burrito was way small for the money. Lavender latte was good. But they have no stevia.So, the bathrooms.. they sent me to a bathroom in the trailer on the Northeast side of the property. The water in the sinks run for about 15 seconds automatically, and you cannot stop it. I have to tell ya.. Things like this irk me. Sensors would be a better bet (until they dont work). And there was no soap in the trailer womens bathroom. My boyfriend said there was soap in the gender neutral bathroom.Ill have to come back and try more things. They cleaned up the place pretty nice.

The entire men’s bathroom was covered in 2 inches of urine on May 18th. The fact that they were continuing to let people use it shows a lack of management. It wasn’t clear at first whether it was just water (your assumption when establishment allows you to enter a bathroom and it’s wet), so I went in. Now I have piss soaked shoes and socks. My shoes are $200 shoes so I’m not happy for multiple reasons. Here’s what you should do management: close a bathroom when it becomes flooded with sewage.

There is cool kids menu, What I liked a lot about this place- it has two sides with table service on the right and self-service on the left. We used both: self-service during the day with smaller prices and we came back for dinner during evening to the part with table service, both parts were very cool. Food is delicious, we loved tacos and grains ball. My toddler LOVED chocolate cookie. Overall very nice atmosphere and we cant wait to come back.

I will start by saying our server Greg was the real deal, top notch customer service! He provided food and drink suggestions that were spot on. We were blessed to have our party of 13 seated in the garden room, its really nice and cozy. The rest of the restaurant, I will say was jamming, busy, DJ playing great atmosphere for a Saturday night. Park across the way at the beach parking, $9. The restroom is my only negative, it was a bit dirty and had a bungalow feel, not great. Overall I really do recommend this restaurant.

Come here for the beer, not the food. Some of the photos are dated since they have recently remodeled. It has the perfect beach vibe right on the boardwalk with tons of variation to patio, bar, outdoor, lounge, and outdoor game seating. There is tons of room but keep in mind that during the summer, it packs up with locals and tourists.I got the mahi fish tacos but what they had in presentation they lacked in flavor. They were pretty bland overall, under salted and if there was a sauce I really couldn’t taste it. It was decent but I had higher expectations given the location and price. Still worth visiting for a drink tho.Side note, awesome service! The host, server and busser were all great. That really goes a long way for all the tourists they deal with.

My friend ordered a hamburger and a beer. It was their special for $15. The burger came and it was a small thin patty with cheese and nothing else on a big bun. Then he ordered nachos for the table. The were chips with a few small pieces of avocado, tomato, sour cream hot sauce all over it which I cant it, and some kind of melted cheese like velveta or something you get at a movie theater or possibly a can. I dont know but at a restaurant I would expect real cheese. It was pretty unimpressive.The bathroom was pretty gross. They have weird toilets that remind me of airplane toilets. I think it was leaking because there was water all over the floor. At least I hope it was water. I would never go there to eat.

Went here for Sunday brunch for a birthday. The buffet is now gone, which was a surprise. But still had a bottomless drink brunch. However, our food was lukewarm and the kitchen forgot to cook one of our dishes (for the birthday girl). Further, I had mentioned it was a birthday in reservation, and nothing was offered as a birthday special. By no means is any place required to do so, but it would have been nice. To the credit of this restaurant, it seems many places in LA opt out of providing anything special things for a birthday. The vibe has gone down in the last 6 months since the last time we were here. However, our server, Brie, was amazing. She salvaged the somewhat disappointing experience into an amazing experience. She was attentive and very nice. This is one of the best spots to eat in Venice Beach. The food is fresh and filling. Being right next to the beach is refreshing. Also, the service is always friendly. It is a bit on the expensive side. $24 for a breakfast burrito if you add meat. I think thats just how things are getting so over LA though. It took a long time to get our check after our plates were cleared. The bathrooms werent very clean either. But I definitely still recommend coming here.

I was told about this place from a relative who went there for a work brunch. I got to say the location is Venice Beach which for some included me is not all that exciting. Some locals have weird opinions on what they call the The New Waterfront but truth is this place has evolved into the actual BEST BAR on the Boardwalk, and it ain’t even close. I ate here with my husband and my parents. It was very disappointing. None of us drank our cocktails because they were just not good. We got the shaved brussel salad, the shrimp ceviche, the broccolini, the double burger, the ahi tuna, and the crispy chili mushrooms. The only things that were bearable were the mushrooms and the burger. The salad had way to much vinegar. The shrimp in the ceviche was rubbery. The broccolini was super tough. And that’s not the only things. The atmosphere is nice but that’s about it.

Horrible experience from the start. Our family arrived at the Waterfront eager to try the amazing looking Buffet and Drinks that we saw advertised on Insta. Well we never got a change. When we arrived, the staff was completely rude and did not want to sit us. We tried asking for the wait time and we wait, however, they didnt even attempt to give us an answer. Luckily, I remembered we were close to Baja Cantina and took the whole crew there and enjoyed our food, service and atmosphere. What a waist of $20 on parking for 10 minutes..

We ordered drinks at 12:20 and didn’t get them until 1:10. The server was nice but had too many tables to manage so we never saw her. We had to ask for syrup 5 times before we finally got it and the pancakes were cold. The pot pie is for 7 people, not 4 but was good. The rose spritz also tasted like water.

Was disappointed to arrive and learn that those had all been taken away in favor of creating an open, standing room only space. Felt much less cozy. This spot was cool. We went there for hubbys work function and enjoyed ourselves. I cant speak on the menu as we were limited to tacos, but that was decently good. the drinks were flowing, that was great. I will confirm that the music can be a bit of a problem. Having spent my youth in clubs, so i was used to it, but hubby said he def struggled a few times. I dont know that we will be back (not really our vibe) but it was a cool spot to meet his co-workers.

The fish tacos are pretty amazing! By the looks of the restaurant I would have never gone in but my friend wanted to eat here so I decided to give it a try. The waiter was very helpful in helping me choose a wine which was very good! I told them I like Reds and very sweet wines even though I forgot the name of the wine, but he knew exactly what I wanted! If you sit outside or near the doors you get a Street performance by a really good band! I would have given this place of 5 but I like restaurants that have dim lighting and this place was really bright but overall good place to eat!

The wait staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a Venice mule and chips and avocado dip. The drink was a nice mix of strength and taste. The chips and dip were both made in house. The chips, not overly greasy and the dip was very nice. Not over seasoned, the avocado was the star. Decent atmosphere, although some extra thought could be given to what was playing on the tvs. Id come back.

I must say, the renovations and updates are right up my alley! I hadnt been there since the fun days of beer garden picnic tables and casual beach goers. There are still casual beach goers but the ambiance and vibe is much more elevated these days. There is a lot of open air space with lights and decorations that can make you feel transported to Europe if on the back patio. They have added a new set of standalone air conditioned bathrooms (similar to The Bungalow) which make things more upscale than before. Keep in mind its still only beer and wine but the food was great and the staff was very friendly. A great place for a group outing, taking out-of-towners or having a date.

Any business that charges a 4.5% surcharge because they won’t pay their staff benefits from their already huge profits and at the same time shoves a Toast tab in front of you with an expected 20% tip gets a 1 star from me. Food was very average, our server Caroline was friendly at least. Place is a ‘scene’.@Andy’s response,1) No, almost every restaurant in LA doesn’t surcharge for benefits. Of those that do, your 4.5% charge is the highest I’ve seen too. Only the overpriced ones who serve average food, deliver average service yet are in high end areas so have high premise costs and think the market will bear higher pricing try to surcharge.2) Please publicly publish the 4.5% amount contributed towards staff healthcare and how much your offered healthcare plans actually cost the business each month and verify where the balance goes. It’s ok, we all know it goes straight to owners as a profit booster.3) Net profits in a restaurant are artificially low and the industry love to lobby with that image. The profits are made low to minimize corporation taxes. Real question is what the owner’s discretionary income has been through a trade year - active and silent partner salaries, ‘consultancies’, company cars, utilities, entertainment and yes end of month profit distributions all factor in and I guarantee in this place with its alcohol led trade it’s >10% of trade. If it’s not, their service and marketing are letting them down as there’s more money to be made.

The Waterfront Venice is one of the best great beachfront bars with a cool atmosphere. Its surprisingly spacious but can get crowded at times. Bar goers are friendly esp the women. Bartenders are professional and friendly. I came here to chill with friends. They have good selection of 🍸🍹cocktails, beers🍻🍺 and🍷 wine.Prices are fair for the area like $9-10 bucks a beer. Service was fast. They have a wooden pingpong table for entertainment. Overall, I highly recommend this place to chill with friends.

However, the service was a bit slow and a few of the staff was giving us MANY dirty looks. Even felt like the waiters were a bit sarcastic at times. On top of that the food wasnt the best. This used to be my favorite place in Venice. Since the remodel a while back is still a good location to grab a drink, but it lost a lot of its original beer garden.The food prices are borderline ridiculous though. Id recommend coming here for a quick drink only ($8 USD for a can of beer) but skip the 22 USD tacos. It probably also explains why its not as crowded anymore as it used to be on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Great location 👍 stellar ambiance and a delicious menu! The Lobster Roll was Dynamite. The service was very friendly although front of house seemed a bit uncoordinated ( Our server switched half way through the meal and disappeared. We didnt know who to order food from and I would of liked to tip out waiter out if I would have known he was leaving.) Also all the mixed drinks served are made with rice alcohol. I had never heard of a rice-based tequila before 😂. Hopefully full liquor license is on the horizon. Besides that a great value for a wonderful Venice Beach experience.

Great spot for Swiss / German / American food with views of the boardwalk. A comparatively inexpensive spot for the Venice waterfront. Often you get live entertainment courtesy of the boardwalk. The food is good, and if you love classic German beer, theyve got interesting choices on tap, and at pitcher-scale its even affordable. So grab some friends that you can out-drink on a nice beach day and youll be in paradise! Friendly service too, just be prepared for a crowd.

This place has changed. It was small and quaint with magnificent views, and you would order at the counter and they would bring you very good grub. That was it for the last few years. I have decided not to keep quiet about incidents like this anymore. Though, few and far between. Me and a friend were seated at the bar area. Close to the entrance of the kitchen. We had been waiting patiently for about 15 minutes. The hostess then sits a gentleman to the left of me. The bar employee comes from the kitchen, has to walk right in front me and serves the patron at the far end of the bar to the right of me, no problem. Then, the bar person ( Kid with glasses and curly hair ) make s a bee line right to the patron to the left of me, who has been there less time than me to take his order. That patron had looked at me with a look of shock, that he was served before me! I told that patron that it was cool, no problem. I then addressed it to bar person in a polite manner about what he just did. His response was with an attitude, not apologetic. So, I decided not to wait any futher and decided to leave. Perhaps, I will patronize the resturant another time. The patron he waited on first, was white and I am non-white. Im just saying.... I will give it 2 stars, because there is a chance I will come back to eat.
