This is a model UPS store, the customer service and offerings of this store should be a template for other independently owned franchise locations to follow. I was going to this location for years when I lived in the area, and they were consistently well staffed with very friendly customer service representatives. They offer every service Ive ever seen advertised at a UPS Store and my only complaint is that there arent more franchise locations that operate like the one in Scotts Valley.

I dont always find myself need shipping or notary services when I am in the Scotts Valley area, but when I do...I always make sure to stop by this store. The customer service trumps all other nearby stores (which there are not a lot of). I full trust them with all of my shipping and packing needs and notary as well. It seems like they are always trying to get me the best deal not just the most expensive option and I really appreciate that.

04-27-24 I went with my wife to drop over $400 dollars of womens clothes to return to amazon. When she came out she was mad as hell because the girl inside didnt want to help her. She told my wife to use the kiosk instead. then another man came in who this UPS girl was all over trying to help him but ignoring my wife when she asked if she could get these items scanned and shipped off. This UPS girl apparently threatened my wife with calling the police and banning her from the store because my wife brought it to her attention that she was being very rude. My wife asked to speak with the manager and this dummy claimed she was the manager and said her family was SVPD and she was going to call the cops on her. Long story short I think these employees are stealing, or mishandling the items because I had my items previously disappear when I used the kiosk there and had to dispute it with amazon. Now my wife is having to dispute her returns because they never arrived to amazon. BEWARE dont use the amazon self service kiosk at this UPS, its a scam. And I dont know whats up with this creep of a UPS employee but I hope we dont ever see her there again. what a B!

Use this. Store for all my business shipping needs. 90% of my experience is. Great. Kevin is always very helpful. And Amy is always helpful and fast. Some of the young men that work there could really learn from those 2. But over all we love using this store.

My insurance has been throwing me for a loop and I’ve had to visit your location multiple times in the last few weeks. Every time I go, Shen is there and greets me by name and helps me figure out exactly what I need. I have also noticed that he’s very personable, and helpful to everyone regardless of how busy it is. I am adding to a previous great review with another great review! I want to thank Linzy, I needed help with a printing job and he told me to have a seat and helped me in between customers! It was 20 mins. Before the store closed but reassured me that the emails I NEEDED I would have before the store closed!I have visited the Scotts Valley store #0833 several times recently and Kevin has always went way above and beyond what is expected. I have come to rely on this store if I have questionsI am confident I always will get accurate information. I am always met with a smile and willingness to be as helpful as possible. If you want great customer service THIS is the store to visit!

At 6:15 pm tonight, Friday, I called ahead and told the man who answered the phone that we were 10 minutes away and asked them to please wait for us. He hung up on me.Then, I arrived at the door at exactly 6:25 pm, and an elderly couple was already at the door.The lights were off, the inside security gate was already pulled down, and there was a young man there on the cashier computer.The elderly couple had already pulled on the door and discovered it was locked. They then knocked. The man inside looked at us, then looked inside the store at someone else and did not respond to us on the outside of the door beyond that.I realize we were coming at the end of their day on a Friday. But, they had already shut everything down before we even arrived at 6:25 pm, and they are supposed to be open until 6:30 pm.And it is the Friday before Christmas, and many people need to ship Christmas gifts last minute.This was incredibly infuriating to say the least.

Brittany has made a special effort to check on some deliveries I had made to the store, and each time she made my day with her positive attitude and excellent listening skills.--------------I always enjoy going to this business because I know I will be helped by a great team. Every employee Ive interacted has been friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional.All of them also have great personalities for working with the public. I must mention two employees in particular, although I dont know the names of several other wonderful employees who have helped me in the past, and I plan to find out their names for a future review. First, there is Amy, who is absolutely astounding and a gem! She is incredibly patient, hardworking, and she wants to do whatever she can to help each and every customer. Kevin went above and beyond to help me change the size of a photo and then make color copies. He was polite and kind. And when I left my originals in the store, he followed me in the rain to my car to return them to me. Ive typically have good experiences here. Brittany is especially helpful and pleasant. There are others as well. A couple times Ive run into someone new and they were not too great. One girl was checking her phone while helping me and she would have forgotten to charge me for a $50.00 plus copying job if I hadnt reminded her. Being obsessed with your phone while working with a customer is not good. Thankfully, employees like Brittany and other employees that have been around a while make up for it.

Kevin is literally and angel sent from the heavens. He is the nicest, most helpful and professional person I have come across in so long. I had huge drama go on with a package and he stayed calm, cool and collected and helped me through the entire process. He never once made me feel like a pest or an idiot (esp. at the end of the ordeal and turns out I was at fault...oops lol). People like him are special and dont come around often. Simply the best! My monthly mailers right to my door with tracking. Saves me so much time and energy only go to this location they are the best! owner is flawless this is a important part of my business. And the owner is great and always makes sure my life is stress free and the job gets done promptly. He can even get it all done remotely no matter where you are. Today, I went to pick up several copies of my resume that I had placed an online order for. I did not realize that they would not be done until 1pm. However, Shen, who was helping me, was kind, professional and displayed excellent customer service skills. Despite being very busy, he printed my resume for me. I would like to add too, that I overheard his manager (or who I suppose his manager is) tell him to forget about the print job because they were busy. Shen assured him that it was a quick job and finished it in less than two minutes. I am incredibly grateful to him, not only because I have perfect copies of my resume on the higher quality paper that I needed, but also that he took the time to make me feel like a valued customer. I’d like to add too, that I was in the store with my one and three year old daughters. And as anyone with young children knows, acts of kindness like this make customers feel valued, appreciated and taken care of. Thank you Shen!!

Kevin is awesome and the perfect example of customer service. Ive been trying to resolve an Amazon return for several days. I made the return and inadvertently lost the tracking number. My first attempt to retrieve the number from the store left me totally dissatisfied as I was lectured on the importance of keeping the tracking number from an employee who clearly did not want to help. I called the store this afternoon and asked to speak with Kevin as he has clearly gotten good reviews in the past for his customer service. He was the right guy! He took the problem from start to finish without any snarky comments or lectures. He was polite, efficient, diplomatic and knew how to retrieve the information. This is the kind of service a customer wants and Kevin should be training the others about what it takes to make the customer happy! So glad I made that call - thank you Kevin!

Ive held a mailbox here for several years, and the staff are always incredibly helpful. I travel a lot for work, and they have been especially great when assisting me with long-distance needs (such as international forwarding, etc).The store can be busy during peak hours, so there is sometimes a wait when visiting in person - but thats because the staff here actually take the time to make sure all of your needs are met. I cant emphasize enough how great the employees are (especially Ben). They maintain a pleasant and friendly environment, and make it very easy to take care of my businesss mail and shipping needs (even when Im halfway across the world).

As locals, the UPS store is our go-to place for anything related to shipping or Amazon returns. Incredibly helpful and professional, their customer service is exemplary every time I go in. Today we needed to use their notary service and Linzy was amazing!! So knowledgable on all the laws surrounding having a document notarized. The process was completely painless and the price was so reasonable. If you want to experience customer service beyond your expectations this is the place!

I went into the Scott’s Valley UPS store to have some things printed for my daughters baby shower. The employee told me I would have to send him the files. I asked him several times if he could help me and he kept saying to send him the files. He said it was a liability to touch my iPad and tell me what to do. I told him that I didn’t want him to touch my device and asked him if it was a liability for him to answer my questions. I said the store has always been helpful and the owner has always been nice. Another employee told me that there is a new owner, that he lives in San Jose and that he is real cool. I asked what his name was and he would only tell me his first name. I found the employees to be rude and condescending. At the time I was in the store, there were three employees working and there were no other customers so clearly they were not busy. I am sorry to hear that the store is under new management. Needless to say, I walked out of the store empty handed. I went to CVS where I found a very helpful employee who helped me with my printing.

Ive used their large-format plotter services with complicated requirements several times and they readily worked with me to get the job done correctly. Being a good store they are pretty busy and, if you have to wait for a job, they make sure it is ready when they say it will be.

I went to this ups to return an Amazon item, while inline a woman was trying to ship a package and after the ups employee told her how long it would take she said she would ship it through the Post office. The clerk told the customer that because the Post Office was a rural Post Office they don’t ship their packages out for two days. I told him he was lying and he should not lied to customers, that I work for the Post Office and everything ships out daily. He of course was upset that I called him on out right lying and was totally rude to me when it was my turn to process my order. This was shameful and totally unprofessional, we have never put down other delivery companies like this.

So Ive been bringing my Amazon returns here for awhile now with no issues. I bring in my item without a box or anything since you dont need one, ups is supposed to package it for you and they usually do. Well this time was different. I brought my item and they immediately tried to sell me packaging. They say they wont take the item and that they know me, the staff werent trained in this so it was a mistake to take my items. I said well in that case I wont go there anymore because I know Kohls will take it without any packaging. The manager, who I regretfully didnt get the name of because I was to flustered, made crying noises at me when I was walking out. Never in my adult life have I experienced such awful customer service. Dont go here!! Go literally anywhere else!!

They used to provide good services; however, I was very disappointed today. People should realize how he says is more important than what he says. I dropped off one Amazon return item 10 days ago but it still doesnt show it was shipped, so I went to the UPS store to check it. I was told that since I have a proof that I dropped it off, hold on and they have nothing to do with it. Why????? I understand that If a return box was not filled, they wont ship it but two boxes were sitting right behind him so he could easily look inside the box. Always very attentive and helpful, very gracious and clear even when clients are stressed out or unreasonable. I have personally used this location for passport photos, shipping of fine art, notary services following the death of a loved one, and copy services. I’ve never had any issues on any front. Im not sure why there are negative reviews. The people at this UPS store have always been so helpful and wonderful. I had one issue with a printing order that was not done well, but I think the employee was new and they corrected it for me. I love to go here to drop off packages and to print posters.

An employee had promised he could meet me out back to take my items bc Ive decided to quarantine with my grandmother., who would otherwise be all alone and is VERY high risk to Not survive Covid-19. Now Im met by a very snarky boy with a big attitude, nothing short of being rude, insisting I MUST COME IN. Weve had new clusters in Scotts Valley traced to Mothers Day gathers. and 20% increase in the county. It would be irresponsible of my to COME IN. I am happy to wait out back for as long as you need really. Store front customers get first priority. Understood. But forcing me to come in, after Ive ALREADY been told I dont have to and because the end result could cost my grandmother HER LIFE is just wrong!! What a load.
