Love this place, BEWARE the lines can get very long. BUT if you have an Amazon return you can go straight to the machines on right and get in and out quick! Larry and Jeremiah are great, they always have all the info I need for shipping my larger packages. I always find it funny when I read the negative reviews on here. These employees are not here to translate, carry extremely heavy items, or fix another companies errors. Thanks UPS team 😀

Review is short, the African American guy working there has a stuck up attitude. He seems to be to manly to work there for some reason. He seemed threatened or was having a bad day, regardless management should consider his attitude towards customers and just do his job. The girl Jen was very nice though, this is why I give them 3 stars!

I come here to drop off amazon returns when needed and have never had an issue until today. The male working seems to get off on arguing with customers about amazon returns, he gave the lady in front of me a hard time as well as myself. I followed the simple directions from the amazon vendor to a tee on how to make my return but the ups worker insisted on giving me a hard time and had a terrible attitude.

It is so crazy, I thought it was just me it was happening to, but I did realize it later that the African-American guy does give people a very hard time. He would always indirectly tease me when I came in because I return things to Amazon pretty often, he also would often say maam like you again? to me, it was so super annoying to me that I tried to figure out what day he was off so I can go and do my returns when he was off, I think I eventually figured it out too, I think at that time I figured he was off on Wednesdays, so I would go then. No patron should have to go to a store foe service and have to even think the way I did, and that is to figure what day thats particular staff is off, smh, thats a shame. That is the closest UPS to where I live but I was even wanting to try to find another one just to avoid him. I dont even know why hes still there after all these reviews about him. Im almost thinking that the person that is answering /apologizing for our reviews just may be him posing. I wish to God the owner or supervisor would let him read these things so he can STOP BEING THAT WAY!! Its like if you have a chip on your shoulder or you got some problem with life or need some more authoritative job or just like to bully people around cause you think you can.... get some help, dont take it out on people trying to get serviced, thats crazy, if the job is boring to you or you want to tell people what to do so bad be a security guard or police officer or something.Anyhow, all the other staff there are exceptional! I really liked the guy that was I think a little disabled or something, he seemed to really like the job and was doing it well, but doesnt look like hes there any longer, I wonder if the black guy had something to do with him leaving, I wouldnt put it past him. Smh

All of the workers at the national City office is absolutely amazing. Moe, Jeremiah, Ash, Allyssa, Larry, and Jem have all been really attentive, very respectful, and kind to my husband Rico and I myself from the time they opened up. They are all hard worker. Without them we would not be able to receive or deliver our packages or gifts from family so with that being said there the best. To us there like family. Plus anytime Ive ever need help they have been respectful to help carry my package to my car when I was unable too. People can say whatever they want smhAll of the staff is always fast and attentive to customers’ needs, and Gaia, the manager always goes above and beyond for every matter, she’s very kind, patient, attentive and caring. I went here for the first time recently to purchase a box and when I approached the cashier, I asked a lady named Gaia what box sizes they had and she just said they have a lot of sizes. Not helpful at all and left me lost and confused inside the store. I didnt persist because of her response. Maybe she didnt want to take time to help me or something because there were many people in line behind me. :/

UPS you need to promote Jeremiah! He was so attentive and kind. He provides top notch service. We always pay through card and there’s no tip indicated upon checkout and upon searching they are not allowed to receive tip but I tell you my husband and I are willing to give him 50% tip for the customer service he provides.We have been recommending UPS National City to out family and have been raving about the service. Ive never had a problem doing any Amazon returns anywhere else but here. I bring my return in a sealed box, they say they cant take it because its an item box. I take it out of the box and put it in a UPS express pak, they say they cant take it because the label says ground. Ive put ups labels on fedex envelopes and other ups employers and stores have no problems with it. The manager, Larry, showed no empathy, provided no convenient solutions, and worst of all didnt let me finish explain the full situation. Unbelievable.Quick update. I took this to the UPS quick access point at CVS down the street and they took it without any issues.

This place is awesome!! I always go here to return online purchases. Its never busy, clean and the staff are super nice, helpful and courteous!The store has a lot of packaging items, from tape all the way to greeting cards.Service is fast, staff is friendly and you get in and out quick even when theres a line. A huge shout out to employee Jeremiah who was very helpful and patient with us. We had to go across town from our local ups store in spring valley because the employee who was running the store “Marvin” refuse to help us with our Mercari shipping. Jeremiah greeted us as soon we stepped in store and the staff who was working with him also acknowledged us as well. I’ve been going to this location for my various shopping needs over the years, but I don’t think I will anymore. The staff who usually helps me are very friendly despite there being a long line sometimes. This last encounter happened about a month ago and I was adamant about writing a review, but it’s still bothering me to this day.I had a return from Amazon and I brought it in a box, but I guess I didn’t need a box since no box was needed to ship. That’s okay, so the lady (brown hair, accent) told me to take out my item out of the box. It was kind of in a rude tone too, but I didn’t put too much thought into it because I know some people can just be very blunt. Once she was done processing my return I wanted to throw the box in their trash receptacle inside the store. As I was breaking down the box, the same lady who helped me saw me doing that told me to go throw away that box in the trash can OUTSIDE of the store. You know...the one that is provided by the shopping center. I just looked at her and giggled sarcastically because I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t even end up throwing that box away in the trash can outside bc the trash can was already filled and I didn’t want to litter. So I just ended up bringing it back home and recycling it myself.I do not want to go back to that store because of her.

A little late on this review, but i was very happy with the customer service i received during my last visit at UPS. An employee named Kai had helped me print out my personal journal and put it together. He let me know what i can do to make it look good, what my options were on lamination, types of paper and even printed out some examples for me to be sure it would print out the way i wanted it to. It took a few hours, but he was overall very nice about the process, kept me updated and it came out looking great thanks to him. (:

I bought from Amazon comes in two pieces two boxes taped together and delivered by UPS, I’m not satisfied with the item and I am delayed three weeks until the get the return label, and I have only one week left for return, I go to the UPS national city the gentleman he don’t want it to return the items because two boxes is tapedtogether, and I say .. the UPS deliver it for me like this he still don’t want to take it .. Employee 189658 displayed rude and aggressive behavior on 01/07/2022 at 4:37pm . Understandably, he said that the package might fall out when being shipped and said it’s better to order the large envelope to avoid the package from being lost. I asked him about the shipment options and he started to get annoyed. He said if I need to call for a complaint call USPS and not this UPS location. After I paid and obtained my receipt he shouted to his coworker, “hey can you take this S&!t (expletive) over there”. He whispered to me that he might have to fight me one day. I was not allowed a refund and left the UPS store because I rather report it than escalate. Larry was such a big help when I was trying to process my passport. He knew what to do. Hes done it thousands of times so I trusted him. There was an extra fee for the help, but it was totally worth it. Any fee for help, in my opinion, is always worth it because you NEVER want to risk any mistakes for anything that is permanent, ESPECIALLY government related. He knew what he was doing! My low review isn’t based on the customer service but my actual package wasn’t packed correctly and arrived to my mother completely damaged (pic attached) this item was purchased during a cross country road trip and simply can’t be replaced. So now I’m out $25 for the shipping at $50 for the eagle because trying to submit a claim with UPS is like pulling teeth.2/5/22 update: updating my review from 2 stars to 4 because of the actions from the owner. Reimbursing me shows a great deal of devotion to customer service and accountability. Takai was great when I came in to pick up my check and even verified my ID which a lot of places don’t even do these days. I really appreciate the customer service.

Monday, 24 May 2021 @ 2:25 Pm. Came in to check an amazon package that states “unfortunately, package was not delivered and holding at carrier location for pick up” . Lady at the service counter told me my package was not delivered, and I told her that’s why I’m here. She checked website and told me it states not delivered again with an attitude that seems like I’m bothering her. Then she tried to explain to me what the status on Amazon means which I did told her I perfectly understood what it means when it states “holding for pick up” and that is the reason I’m checking if they have it. Instead of telling me that UPS will try to attempt delivery again, she then again told me the item was not delivered. Total lack of customer service and does not have the right attitude to work in customer service environment. I love this location but with an employee like her, you will lose customers. If she’s not happy with that position, time to get another job.Tuesday, 25 May 2021 @2:30 pm. Went back to pick-up my package. Stood in line and was called by the same employee that provided service the previous day. She asked me what I need help on so I stated I’m there to pick up a package, she asked for my ID which I provided, after she read my name she asked me if I wanted her to provide the service. When a customer approached you and given you what you asked for so they can get what they need, that means the service is welcome, don’t create another issue or scene. Just do your job and both customer and employee are satisfied. At the end, the other male employee stepped in to complete the issue of my package and asked me to get service on another location in the future and when I asked the lady for her name, she refused and covered it with her hand. For the owner, it’s all in your CCTV for review.

Not everyday do you receive good service from shipping/packing companies. Gaia was a great help when I was shipping out a package. Took extra care of contents and packed it up well, worry free of getting damaged. The ups air driver even helped me move them inside before he left. Worst service ever I flew from Seattle Washington to San Diego just to go to the DMV to get my Real ID and car registration updated just before I had to fly out the the next month to Italy. Had everything mailed to my sisters just In case I would no longer be in the states when the DMV delivered my Real ID and Registration. They arrived early just in time that my sister would be able to over night them to arrive to me in Seattle Washington. But they never arrived. UPS lost my Real ID and car registration, so now I’m in Italy with out my Real ID and car registration. That I need for the Italian customs to release my car to me when it arrives here. Now thanks to UPS loosing my stuff I will potentially also loose my Car! They are the worst!

Moe let go go home real quick to pick up the 3rd item, he opened the door at 7:10 to let me return my items (which today is the last day to return all the items back to Amazon) If it wasnt for Moe I would not be able to get my refund for all 4 items. Had an Amazon package that needed to be returned. Arrived and gentlemen told me that the label needed to be printed and not able to scan code from my phone. He explained that I would need to email the label directly to the store. Upon asking what email address, he points behind me and tells me to look at one of the 10 signs on the other side. Asked which sign, his response is the sign by the computer(there were 3 monitors, 1 was being used by the other clerk and other 2 empty). Then asked which computer, his response is to point at the business cards that were right in front of him. I pick up the business card and forward the email with return instructions. Didnt complain when he took care of another customer and waited another 15 minutes for him to finish. When he was done, I placed the box on the scale and asked if he received the email I sent. I dont recall hearing a response, just typing on the keyboard and scanning the original barcode of the unopened box several times. Now I didnt want to question him because I am unfamiliar with their process. He then hands me a shipping receipt. Left the store with doubts and decided to look up the tracking number that he printed. Turns out, the package is being delivered back to my house instead of back to Amazon. Obviously he never checked for the email I sent with the return label. Went back inside the store and I kid you not, maybe 5 minutes passed and they are not able to find my package. Another clerk helped and told me that the Amazon return label is not acceptable. Someone please help me understand this. Also she said the return label which listing the new tracking number with a barcode was not supposed to be taped on the outside but left on the inside. So then how is UPS supposed to know where to send the package? Anyway contacted Amazon and fortunately they were very understanding after I explained the package was being sent back to my house in error. Their customer service was outstanding, this UPS store, not so much.
