I started the day with a dead computer and went to Best Buy just to find out that I needed an appointment. Not happy with that, my brain kicked in, there is a computer store close to me. As I entered the store, I was greeted by Jeremy. He took the dead computer and eased my mine. The next day he told me what was wrong and what it would take to repair the computer. The next day I stop by and talked to him. My computer was going to cost too much to fix a Win10 machine. He got on his computer and showed me what type of computer I could get for a few dollars more. At no point did he pressure me into buying anything from him. I have never been to a store that the salesperson was this concerned about me. I highly recommend anyone that has a computer problem to take it to Tec2you.

I had gotten scammed and the culprit had full control of my computer. Will cleaned up my computer and made sure that there was NO backdoor that this culprit could still have access to my computer. Good job!

I was able to have a free diagnostic test done remotely on my iMac. it has been running slow no matter what Im trying to do. after a 1hr diagnostic, the tech called me to tell me that due to the age of my computer there isnt anything that Tech2U could really do to make it run better. I appreciated the honesty and them not trying to sell me a service that would have much results.

The tech that assisted me with my computer issues was Jeremy. He was awesome, extremely helpful and always kept me updated. Brought is a PC that burned out at the motherboard. They tested it and confirmed my concerns. They then presented options, of which i took the rebuild. They listened to what it needed to be used for, and picked parts to meet and supersede those needs. The cost was reasonable. They kept in contact with me every few days with updates and were able to get it back to me on time, in a new case, fully rebuilt as needed. Great service. I’m going to bring in my other PC just for upgrades and upkeep.

Additional protection coverage suggested and consent solicited before service initiated with price estimate. Quick turnaround time in solving issues regarding possible virus incursion. It wasnt solved, (which makes me think it cant be solved), and I sometimes still experience the slow wifi in my family room, so I was disappointed about that. For the amount of time and effort he gave me, I thought the price was appropriate.

I have to say that I havent met such a professional person in quite a while. Rob the technician was superb and his knowledge is really unmatched. My motherboard fried and he figured out that that was the problem because my computer wouldnt even turn on. He went through it completely put in a new motherboard he is very professional in the way that he does his work and looking at the computer on the inside you can see how he mounted everything and how he placed everything very professional. Plus Rob is just a neat guy to know, a very good person. I highly recommend tech 2 you and especially Rob for his excellent work!

Thought I needed to replace a power supply, called ahead before dropping in my PC. No cost up front until diagnosis was done which makes sense. Couldnt select option to pay for advance service because they had too many clients, but I appreciated my time away from being stuck on my computer all day.Took about a week to finish inspection and figured out my graphics card overheated, paid over the phone for replacement part and labor. About five days later got a call PC was up and running again.TLDR: Took a leap of faith trusting my repairs to them and they definitely delivered. Will return when PC decides to give out again.

UPS destroyed a high end gaming build (for the 3rd time) we sent out to a customer in CA. I have 7 year old high end self built desktop that would not boot past the splash screen. Multiple problems diagnosed resolved by some minor tweaks and the replacement of a slowly dying ssd. My computer needed a new video card. I brought it to Rob and shared some diagnostics. He listened to my concerns and ordered a new video card, which was fairly priced and arrived in less than a week. He installed it the day it arrived, and I picked up my desktop that night. Since then, its worked just fine, and my computer purrs like a kitty cat. I called Tech2U because I assumed my computer was destroyed, including the hard drive… Not only did they tell me the data was not lost, they restored all of the data to another computer. Also, Apple told me it would cost anywhere from 500 to 1200 dollars to fix… wrong! Im more disappointed than anything. I was having a problem with a couple keys on my laptop popping off, so I had taken it in to see if I could get it professionally fixed. The man had told me that I was looking at $199 for labor, plus any additional charges for new parts. It seemed expensive, but I was willing to pay for it. He had me leave my laptop with him (I dropped it off on a Friday), and he said he would call me Wednesday. However, Wednesday came and went and I had to call Thursday afternoon to see what was going on. He hadnt even looked at my laptop and even asked what was the problem with it again? I tried to understand he was just busy, so I agreed to let him keep it for another day as he told me he would make a note and call me back Friday morning. So Friday came and went :) No calls, no emails, nothing. At this point, I was over it, so come Monday morning, I called and told them I would be in to pick it up. The man on the other line tried telling me the diagnostic would be done in the afternoon, but I felt like they had more than enough chances to even glance at it. I brought it home and managed to find a site online that sold new keys and came with all 3 parts. I ended up spending $24.46 for 2 keys, had to wait a little over a week and it only took me about 40 minutes to fix them. I wouldve waited for the shop and paid them what they asked, but Im disappointed they gave me the runaround and ignored me twice when they had given me days that they would call me. I wouldve been fine with them calling and saying we havent gotten to it yet, but we will soon! Leaving me in the dark wasnt acceptable. Hopefully others have a better experience

I bought my PC from Best Buy 1 year ago, I brought it to the Geek Squad after it had crashed and would not boot up. I was told it was a hardware issue and it would have to be sent to North Carolina for repairs and would take at least 6 weeks. Instead I decided to dropped it off at the Solano Computer Guy. He was very professional and knowledgeable. It turned out to be a software update problem and only took a day to fix after looking at it. I wish I would have had him build my PC instead of buying it from Best Buy. Next time I will. I will recommend him to everyone I know.

I’m very disappointed. I brought my MacBook in to be diagnosed as it started to slow down quite a bit. (6 minute start up time). I was told that my hard drive was starting to fail and that I’d need a new one. They grossly tried to over charge me for the repair so I declined. I guess that upset them because as I’m writing this review it’s been over an hour and my computer is still on the start up page. Their website says that the most expensive shop rate is $199, and yet they were trying to charge me $250. They quoted me a new hard drive at $180, yet I bought one for $100. There was no data recovery required since I saved everything to 2 external drives, and I ended up doing the job myself saving a ridiculous amount of money. 6 minutes to put the new drive in, then just letting the OS install cost me $112 (new drive and a small tool kit). Even if I didn’t do it myself and went somewhere else it would’ve cost me HALF of what they wanted to charge. Again just really disappointed because they were highly recommended by friends and coworkers. I hope nobody else had the same issue that I did.

Technician Ming was such a big help to us.I had AT&T DirectTV with a satellite dish and we had a lot of problems, screen froze, blacked out or went haywire, and the remote was not responding even with new batteries. That contract expired March 2021.I finally called and changed to AT&T DirectTV Streaming.They sent the devices (streaming devices for three tv’s) and said we had to installed them ourselves. Well being seniors we are not tech savvy. After hours of calling/begging AT&T to send a tech to my house to do the install they would not. I have absolutely no one to call to help me out. AT&T says they value me as a customer! That’s a joke! Consumer beware of these big companies like AT&T are no longer helpful when you need an actual person to help. They will walk you through it on the phone but there are so many wires I told them that would not help me. I spent hours on the phone with AT&T getting transferred to unhelpful people.I finally googled and found Tech2U and spoke to Chris who assured me they could do it for us and help us program remotes, etc.Tech Ming had the work done in no time, but because of the AT&T satellite service still active I had to spend another hour and a half with AT&T getting another account number to get the streaming to connect.Ming was patient to wait while I went through all this and helped me alot to understand what to do. If it wasn’t for Ming and Tech2U I don’t know what I would have done. It costs…. But was worth it to keep our entertainment going!

Was told weeks earlier as I started to get parts for a new PC build that tech2u could do a water cooling loop. Called a month later, got cost, mulled it over for a weekend. Brought all the parts in. Local store got said it would likely go up to a larger store for assembly. called a few days later, was told to come get the parts because no one with experience working with hardline was available; the folks who were available were eager to learn, but not on a client system.Pro’s: The team was eager to do it. But there was a steep learning curve that didn’t allow for the training.Cons: had to find someone else to do the work at a higher cost.

Dropped off laptop for a software issue after Windows Update. Couldnt restore previous version of Windows, couldnt retrieve any of my stored data. Reimaged laptop to factory defaults. Cost $250 which seems excessive for a factory dump that I probably couldve done myself with a second laptop and CD. Also pretty bummed all of my MSI performance software was not reinstalled for me so now I have to deal with that headache. Additionally didnt realize that I left my MicroSD plugged in, but that was somehow wiped entirely. Price doesnt match the service in my mind. Just be prepared to spend before you drop off for a quote
