It was awesome. The minute I stepped in, I felt a peace and calm in my spirit. Dr. Thomas was very attentive to my needs and this is the first time I can say I really enjoyed my experience at the dentist. This experience has motivated me to return. Ive been going to The Smile Studio in Inglewood for 2 years, and I love it! The front desk staff is always great, and the office is super clean and relaxing. Liana is especially friendly and sweet. Service is quick, with hardly any wait time, and they play awesome music. They really go out of their way to help and accommodate you. Highly recommend!

Ive going to The Smile Studio for several years now. Every time I go there everyone is so nice and friendly everyone has a positive attitude and my dentist is so nice and very professional and she always explains whats shes doing before she starts. I have bad experience with other dentist but The Smile Studio makes you feel welcome.

I am terrified of the dentist from past horrible experiences and have sought for a very long time to find a dental office with staff that I could trust and be comfortable with. I came across the Smile Studio and am very pleased. Everyone in this office is courteous, kind, patient, and comforting. Ive since been three times and have been accommodated well and treated with all respect. I REALLY want to support this business! The front desk staff are friendly and professional. However, today I had a very unskilled technician working on my son for his routine orthodontist appointment. It began with our orthodontist taking close to an hour to see us after we arrived. 2-3 people continued to reassure me that we were next. He came and treated for about 5 minutes then handed us back over to the tech. The tech was not knowledgeable. She did not have clear information on equipment placed in his mouth from the week before. In fact, Im accustomed to receiving additional pieces so we can replace them at home and it was never given to us at the previous appointment. She continued to start, then stop her work. Leave in and out of my sons mouth to go obtain routine materials that should have been on hand. Staff came to talk to her, causing her to take additional pauses in between work. The final straw for me, was watching her stare at brackets in the bag, then stare at the cabinets for prolonged periods of time and not say anything. It seemed like she was very unsure of what she should be doing and how to do it. Either that, or purposely prolonging her work-which is unprofessional. Finally, close to two hours of an appointment, I was completely frustrated with the prolonged pauses and incomplete work. We left with our appointment incomplete. I am disappointed at the way our appointment was handled and feel that customers should be treated with a level of intelligence and transparency. As soon as I said I had enough, she didnt even try to remedy the situation or take accountability for what had transpired. It seemed like other staff knew something was up and they continued to allow this poor level of workmanship continue. A more senior staff person should have noticed what was going on and helped to resolve the issue. Instead, they stared, and talked among themselves as if we, as customers werent having this experience. As I left in frustration, the front desk said, I will call you . The reality is, as a patient, I wasted time and money and someone at this business should have corrected the issue before we felt we had no other choice but to leave!

I love this dentist office! They make you feel extremely comfortable, and show you that they care by the way they work and check up on you after. The dentist Dr. Thomas and her assistants are very patient and gentle. They are excellent, Ive had a lot of work done and every time the procedures have went great and been virtually pain free. The receptionist (Irina) is warm and welcoming. She always keeps me informed with the process, status and cost of my procedures so there is no surprises. I am beyond grateful that I found this dentist office, they have been a blessing to me.

Dr. Carla went above and beyond my expectations, I needed a tooth to fill in the front of my mouth for my granddaughters 5th birthday party Dr. Carla created a tooth that fits without any wire hooks and that would stay in place without using dental paste or glue. when I tell you she has done just that. I was able to be present and the Love I received from my granddaughter I give thanks first of all to our Heavenly Father for giving Dr. Thomas the ability to conquer a challenge. Ive been a patient at the The Smile Studio for a few years now. And the level of professional that I first experienced years ago has not diminished at all. In fact, thats the reason I continue to return.You will note in previous reviews that others have found the staff to be courteous, personable, and at all times, professional. The receptionists, the hygienists and the doctors are all friendly and welcoming. And they do great work, too!Once, I even had the pleasure of having Dr. Thomas herself provide me with care. My elderly mother with multiple co-morbidities visited the office. Her care required special oral surgery care, which was referred by the office. The referral surgeon was excellent. The transition from the Smile Studio to the referral surgeon was smooth - they were waiting for my mother when she arrived. The care was excellent! The referral surgeon even coordinated his prescription for my mother with my mothers Kaiser insurance through the Kaiser outpatient pharmacy! This was my first time at The Smile Studio and I was very impressed! It was close to my house so that was a plus but the real win for me is that it was clean and professional in the building! I recently visited The Smile Studio after not seeing the dentist in a very long time. With the pandemic my nervousness was beyond heighted. Upon walking in everyone was nice and put my mind at ease. They all were very informative with everything I need to get done. I set up two follow up appointments. They were all professional and even helped me find my dental insurance when I gave them the wrong card.Even after my appointment one of the dentist Shay (I may have her name wrong) and I were having small talk and she encouraged me to go after some goals I was talking to her about. You can tell she really loves her job because she exudes good energy and encouragement. The Smile Studio was an amazing environment to be in. I cant believe I am saying but Im excited to go back to the dentist.

Where do I start……for me I knew what I wanted and needed was going to be large financial commitment. I took a little over a year meeting with offices though out LA and Pasadena. After meeting with 8 other offices I decided on the Smile Studio. They were not the cheapest but they were not the most expensive. WhT ultimately influenced my decision was by the apparent leadership. It started with the front desk and staff who made me fill comfortable and welcomed. Then After meeting with Dr Thomas I knew what direction I wanted to take. Dr. Thomas was confident in her recommendations and approach which gave me a sense of ease. They worked on 7 of my teeth with the highlight being my 4 front teeth. I am so happy with the outcome!!! They have a patient for life out of me I highly recommend. I drove from Pasadena to see Dr.Thomas and her team!!

Im so happy I found The Smile Studio and trusted the online reviews! I went in this morning for my 8am appointment and was greeted by very professional, polite, and nice staff throughout the entire process. The environment is very relaxing (for those who are scared of the dentist) and the equipment is very modern and up to date. The wait time was very minimal considering I had to complete new patient paperwork, etc. The idea of finding a new dentist made me very worried, especially since the only reason I left my old dentist was because I finally got tired of the long commute after moving from Long Beach to L.A. Last year I finally got around to trying a new dentist and after my first appointment at a different dental office (NOT The Smile Studio), I was still on the fence. After my second appointment there which ended up needing to be rescheduled because they failed to verify my insurance coverage ahead of my Saturday morning appointment, I knew I had to find another new dentist! Ugh! I searched online for a dental office close to my home that also had an African American dentist, found The Smile Studio, read the great reviews, scrolled through their website, verified they accepted my dental insurance and made my appointment. Dr. Thomas is also an alumna of my alma mater (Fight On!) - just one more reason to give them a try. So so glad I did! I plan to be a long term patient! :-) If you live in the Inglewood/South L.A. area, give them a call.

Dr. Carla Thomas is one of the most patient dentists I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. I am skittish when it comes to the dentists office. She is always really soothing and reminds me to breathe. She also tells me what shes doing as shes doing it- which helps me relax. I had received a collection notice from this office. First, I have never received a statement regarding money owed. Secondly, I had an appointment scheduled and it was cancelled due to Covid-19 and I could have rectified my account balance then. Nevertheless, it is extremely unprofessional on how this matter was handled and the assessing of a collection fee. Any new patients should be mindful on how this dentistry handles their billing and the lack of customer service. I paid this bill and found a new dentist. In this electronic age, a follow-up with an email may be beneficial as I know I communicate with my medical provider in this manner. I hope this assessment was worth a customer...I was a customer at your office. You may need to do further research or better yet reach out and ascertain who I am. So, there again bad customer service. Own up to what you did and just don’t do it again. I even wrote a letter when I dropped off my payment and received no follow-up.

I recently moved and was looking for a new dentist, specifically a woman-led office. i’ve gotta say the smile studio was exactly what i was looking for and more. the staff is kind and knowledgeable and the dentists are all amazing. i had to get a cavity filling and dr. azzaa walked me through everything, even showing me the cavity and explaining each step as she went. as someone who has been scammed by dentists, this was important for me. everything was quick and painless. the entire staff is great. so happy to have found a new dentist’s office.

I just started coming to Dr. Thomas earlier this year after no dental visits for several years. After numerous visits she had my teeth back in ogood shape, including some cosmetic work on a few chipped teeth. Well, over the weekend I chipped my tooth again, right before heading out of town on a business trip. I showed up today at the office to ask for an Emergency appointment at 8am and Dr. Thomas and her staff did not hesitate to fit me in at noon. They even called me back to have me come earlier as they had a cancellation. So not only did she fix me back up but fit me in earlier. She and her staff are top notch. I was the computer tech for the office before they moved to the new facility, and I noticed their efficiency. Nobody sat in the lobby for more than 10 minutes before they were on their way to their appointment. So the first chance that I had to switch dentists, I hauled my entire family in for a visit. 5 StarsDr. Thomas skill and professionalism is praised by many, including my family for over 15 years. But as a reluctant patient I rarely went. Well, not so anymore. Today was one in a series of visits, she devised to repair my neglect. And has been the case on each visit, grinding, filling and drilling was involved. But heres the point: Her MANNER exudes such calmness and her steady hand & gentle touch are so reassuring... that while she was grinding, filling and drilling, I actually FELL ASLEEP in her chair...without anesthetic of any kind.
